Friendlies Chinese Restaurant in Fife

Sadly the food has gone downhill. Used to be an excellent Chinese take away but lately the quality has been lacking. Tonight was the worst though. Ordered 2 x chicken fried rice, chips, mushroom and onion fried rice, barbecue ribs and a portion of curry sauce. The order came with curry sauce all over the chips which thankfully they did correct and give us them separate albeit with a look of disgust as if we were in the wrong. The mushroom and onion fried rice though ended up inedible due to the onions being covered in a curry dressing which the person who this was for is allergic to one of the ingredients in the curry. Luckily because it was noticed before a mouthful was taken, some antihistamine has been able to quell the reaction but it could have been worse. We won’t be coming back as there is a distinct lack of care and for us this could be dangerous.

Visited twice this week for thin noodles and curry sauce and they were amazing, very tasty and very much enjoyed. I’m on crutches and the counter staff were awesome and even helped me to put my order in my bag which was above and beyond and very much appreciated.

We ordered for a family of 4, and it was so much we could have had 6 people. Food was outstanding. Would highly recommend 👌

We have ordered from their extensive menu for collection on several occasions now. great food and huge portions. Counter staff live up to the business name and are very Friendly. We would not consider going to alternative takeaways nearer home. Well done!!!

On the takeaway menu it states after spending a certain amount they provide free spring rolls etc. When calling to place order I mentioned this and received the extra when delivery came. However the delivery driver obv picked up what they were told incorrectly and told me friendlies had told them to show me the receipt which stated ‘forced to provide free spring rolls ’. I think it what they actually said was ‘ do not show the receipt’. Never ordering from there again if that is how they speak about their customers behind their back. Rude. If not willing to uphold what is advertised then retract the offer!!

Since moving to Fife I have tried out a few take aways and Friendlies in Inverkeithing is my favourite one I’ve found. The happy meals are great value and good portion sizes and love the chicken chow mein too

Just as good as ever. I’ve grown up with this take away through all its name changes. Always nice coming home to constantly great food. The large spring rolls are addictive. Great place and highly recommended.

When we know we are passing Inverkeithing this is worthy place to phone in an order then collect it before returning home to eat. The hot & sour soup was excellent and like a meal in its own right. Weve had a selection of the dishes on offer and all were tasty and piping hot once we got home.

Delivered us opened food that had been delivered to the wrong house and opened before arriving with us. We refused the food as the driver admitted it had been opened and they sent us the same food back which they claimed was a fresh order. We are in tier4 lock down, this is not only bad practice but irresponsible and dangerous. Wouldn't eat here unless you enjoy other people's left overs.

Best Chinese around Rosyth/Inverkeithing. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Been enjoying their food for many years. Lovely food. Delivery lads great too. Highly recommend.

Telephoned the order and collected in 10 mins food was tasty and service good large portions and hot husband had turbo chow mein and i had Beef Fillets szechuan style and rice we like our food even this was to much for us very tasty and flavoursome would reccomend this to all

We are not regular take-away eaters by any means, but you almost feel that you are when visiting this place. Staff have always been beyond courteous and very friendly to all customers, whether regulars or not. Food is good, great choice available and very reasonably priced as well.

Well tonight ordered takeaway, sorry guys but it’s been binned. Curry sauce thick and lumpy, fried rice stuck together in a block & munchy box contents burnt and inedible all binned, if I ordered through just eat I would be looking for refund. Will NOT be ordering again. Only good thing about the meal was the lovely delivery lady.

I revisited Friendlies on January 28th and we remarked on the visible improvement.The Carry Out Restaurant is clean, warm and welcoming.There was an extensive menu.Although busy, the Customers were served promptly.The size of portion was very different from last time and the meal was tasty.
