Fresh Chef in Torbay

We just ordered food from here and unfortunately it was terrible. I never leave reviews but this needed to be said.

I love the food from this place I really do I pick stuff up from there all the time, BUT if you ever try to order over the phone you will be there for 20 minutes trying to read out your address! I understand them speaking limited English but they’re also rude with it which pisses me off! Best off using just eat or going there yourself

We ordered a fresh platter (whole chicken, 4 chicken wings, 3 sides and a drink) over the phone for delivery to our B&B for dinner. The food arrived in 30 minutes (faster than the 45-60 minutes that I had been promised) and was hot and fresh. The chicken was really delicious - seasoned and cooked to perfection - we loved the hot peri peri marinade. The sides were not so exciting though - the grilled corn was quite nice but we thought that the salad and coleslaw were only just ok. This is a really great value option for dinner!

Nando’s honestly has NOTHING on fresh chef, chicken was moist and cooked to perfection, fantastic value for money, chips weren’t my favourite but for 99p per portion you can’t complain, still tasty enough. The staff were so helpful, calling us to ask how we like our chicken and the delivery man was well mannered and smiley, will be recommending these guys to all my friends and can’t wait to order again!

Finally just what Torbay needed, the chicken was perfect moist and juicy, I had the hot whole chicken full of flavours not just blow your head off heat, all the sides were cook very well and fresh. We can’t get over the value for money/amount you get, we are stuffed but till looking forward to the leftovers!

I was walking past on the day that they opened. I had some take away chicken. It was very tender and moist inside. The skin was wonderfully charred and the hot peri peri that I asked for was spot on. It is a take out peri peri style restaurant. Brand new. Food cooked fresh to order. Customer service was spot on too.
