A really refreshing French cafe experience with a light menu,, great drink choices and perfectly prepared food, served by welcoming and helpful staff. Make sure to reserve a table in advance.

Lovely food, but evening tarnished by absent minded service and being forgotten about. Once our mains had been cleared all tables around us were offered desserts and served them. Other tables were being cleared and packed away for the night. We were looking forward to a dessert and then a cheese board but instead sat their waiting and no one came over to ask if we wanted anything. After 30mins of waiting we just asked for the bill instead. For the prices charged i expected better!

Great meal, great service, nice atmosphere, if a little bit noisy for a hearing aid helped person definitely on list to visit again. Wow food!

Today I went to this restaurant for the second time and I want to thank them because today I arrived when they were supposed to close for their break and they still welcomed me and my little boy. The hospitality and food for me and my little boy was a 10. I will definitely be back with my family.

A special occasion, great food, not cheap but good value.

Had afternoon tea this afternoon with mum. It was a Christmas present for her and it was fantastic. One of the best I've had. Lovely atmosphere fantastic staff and one I'll highly reccomend. Thanks again and keep it up.

Held a lunch here for 16 people for my mum’s 80th and they couldn’t have been any more helpful. The staff are so friendly and attentive going above and beyond what is expected, the food was excellent and even though there were 16 of us we had hardly any wait. The prices are very reasonable and I will have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to my friends.

The food was okay, a little bland. I'm giving 1 star because me and a friend both got food poisoning after eating the eggs florentine / eggs benedict. I tried to notify the restaurant but have been ignored. My sister enjoyed it so if you go, I'd avoid the hollandaise! Lot's of gluten free options. Quite expensive for what you get.

Came here for the 1st time to celebrate my dad and sister’s birthdays and it was so good! Food was some of the best I’ve eaten & different to the usual restaurant's in Milton Keynes. I ordered the scallops , ribeye steak & the Ferrero Rocher bomb. Steak was cooked to perfection & up there with one of the best I’ve had. All the waiters were lovely as well. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere for your next dinner out!

Lovely place and had an amazing afternoon tea for my Mums 80th Birthday. Great value for money the quality was fantastic for the price . Great service too all the other meals coming out looked lovely aswell .

Having been eating here regularly since it opened. The food and service never disappoint with a choice of inside and outside seating in a pretty courtyard. Afternoon teas are sumptuous (always take some home), evening meals fabulous and also a great choice for brunch and lunch.

The food was very good at a reasonable price for such quality. It's worth a visit.

4 of us went for New Year's Day lunch...the choice on menu was very good..all cooked to a high standard...staff very friendly....good value and very clean surroundings...toilet also very clean...

As an afternoon tea aficionado, my standards are very high but the food was exceptional, very different not the usual boring sandwiches, delicious puddings too, beautifully presented. Shame about the entrance to the restaurant, the disabled loo door was open, reception piled with chairs & entered through the fire exit. This belied the lovely food once indoors

Wonderful French biatro style cuisine, served in a stylish setting with indoor and outdoor seating options. The team are very efficient but also friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Loved it!

A disappointment. We visited for lunch, having heard for several years how lovely this place is. It didn't start well when (due to the wind) we had to enter through a side door, which meant climbing over the legs of a staff member sitting just inside the door. The next door took us straight into the bar area, where the server looked so surprised to see us that I double checked we hadn't come in the staff entrance by mistake. There was no smile or greeting apart from asking if we had booked (we had) and then walking off - after a moment, we followed. I ordered a mojito while we looked at the menu - it was horrible. No flavour other than rum - and a lot of it. I used my fork to mash up the meagre lime slices a little, but it didn't really help. I sadly left it half drunk. Starters were excellent. Prawns were hot and plump in a delicious citrussy sauce and the flatbread was very garlicky. Things were looking up. Main courses were okay, but nothing memorable. The ordered rare steak was medium, but very juicy and the frites were crispy. Dessert was horrible. What should have been a flambé calvados apple crêpe somehow never saw a flame and was just a cold pancake soaking in calvados and covered in saturated crumb. Again, the alcohol was overpowering. Our waiter was efficient and friendly, the decor was pleasant, and I really wish the food had lived up to its reputation. Sadly, we won't be going back.

Amazing find in MK, beautifully decorated, cosy venue, superb food and cocktails, highly recommend the lamb rump, melted in the mouth, best I've had. Rib eye steak was also great. Good focused menu.

It's always got a nice vibe to the place, the people here are great. I think I would have preferred a Croque to the Eggs Benedict Crepe I ordered but who can argue with Champagne by the glass at breakfast. The Bloody Mary was also superb.

Organised a baby shower with the French affaire and they were absolutely amazing!! The food is always amazing but they really went above and beyond and I can’t thank them enough!! The staff are amazing and so kind and just made the experience really good! Just 5* all around!

Went for dinner, and the food was lovely! I would say starters and dessert were fabulous while our mains were just fine - slight room for improvement. Atmosphere wasn’t quite there but overall we enjoyed it and are likely to return.

After hearing great things we decided to come here for my birthday lunch. Quaint little restaurant with a lovely ambience. Although it was busy, we was given a choice of tables to choose from. Service was great, cocktails spot! We was so impressed with our food, I had the Croque Madame with salad, was delicious and very filling. As it was my Birthday I followed this with a Biscoff & Strawberry crepe - oh my it was amazing!! Can’t fault anything and can’t wait to return to try the evening menu!

Brilliant restaurant in Stony Stratford serving top class food and drinks in a stunning venue. We love this place - so much so, we’ve previously hired the whole place for our engagement dinner. The food on our last visit was absolutely fantastic, in both taste and presentation. Everything from the Amuse Bouche through the desert was perfect. The cocktails and wines are great also. I started with New York Sour, which was brilliantly balanced. For starters, we had the Scallops and Tuna Tartare. For mains, the Beef Wellington and the Fillet Mignon. All cooked to perfection! The deserts are presented to you proudly on a tray to choose and I love this. We chose the Strawberry cheesecake and the crème brûlée. They finished off the meal perfectly. This is such a lovely intimate place. A big recommendation from me if you are in the area, and if you are not - it’s worth a drive!

As usual, perfect service and a great selection of crepes. Well done again

Amazing food and go to place when I’m in MK

One of our favourite places- in all of our visits I can not criticise anything. Great food, good service and lovely atmosphere.

Tried to visit this morning as we had heard some good things unfortunately we will not be able to comment on the food as we didn’t get that far. We sat on a table outside that did not have a reserved sign and waited - After 10 minutes of being ignored by the two servers outside I went inside for a menu toe be tersely asked ‘do you have a reservation’ - we didn’t but I said that we were on an unreserved table outside so I was given two menus. After another 10 minutes of being ignored by the staff, and they were not run off their feet, they were making small chat with other customers, we decided to leave and went elsewhere. Obviously this place is suffering from over inflated self importance and should brush up on their customer service which was the worst I have had in many years.

Lovely courtyard setting and a pleasant spot to sit outside on a warm day. For a lunchtime service, it is slow. Croque was good but too much of the rich sauce which overpowered the filling. On the pricey side for sandwiches - bill for 2 croques, a small beer and a small glass of house wine £44 before a tip.

Food was excellent, service also excellent if a little fussy.

Recently moved here and I think it’s gonna be our new go to. Cutest spot hidden away, lovely outdoor seating, friendly staff and yummy food.

Not visited for a while but have recently been twice for evening meal, once with family for a birthday and once with friends. Definitely the best place in Stony for super food, pleasant staff and lovely atmosphere. Good to see it busy but staff still attentive at all times Look forward to visiting again

An amazing place for brunch. We had a crepe with salmon which should be an awful choice but it was really enjoyable. We sat outside on a sunny day and it was a great place to be at. The only issue I had was that the opening time in Google was wrong and we were there one hour before it opened

Very special little oasis tucked away in Odells Yard. The food is beautifully presented and full of flavour. The waiters are very smart and courteous. Although it was towards the end of the afternoon they made us feel very very welcome. I would also like to state how impressed I am in the cleanliness of an outside bar. Well done lads. I’ll be back. So sorry I didn’t take photographs but next time I surely will and I will share them with you.

I was met by a rude man at the counter. I dined here 2 weeks ago and the food, staff, ambience were excellent. What happened?

Food was incredible and the place is beautiful, we got served by Alex which made us feel very comfortable and made the experience much better, definitely will be coming back! Highly recommend!

Wow ! What an incredible night, with great atmosphere and fantastic food. This restaurant has been on my 'hit-list' for a little while now and it certainly disappoint. Thankfully it was a warm summer-like evening, ideal for sitting out and eating on the terrace. Throughout the night we were discretely serenaded by a signer in the background. All in all, it felt like we had been transported to some small quaint restaurant in France, Italy or Portugal. Soon the food arrived, beautifully cooked seared scallops and ham and cheese croquettes, followed by confit duck leg and steak all cooked to perfection. For two 'foodies' French Affaire certainly shined and instantly made it into our top ten restaurants in Beds and Bucks. Come Monday and back to work, we both felt like we had been whisked away for a few hours and had the 'holiday blues'. It was so good, I'm desperate to find a reason, any old reason to go back. Enjoy

This is a lovely venue, great food with lovely staff. Alex in particular made the lunch even better. He was polite and overall he gave us a positive time at French affaire.

Alessandro was an absolute delight. He took care of all my needs. I think I wanna be he’s best friend. Food, atmosphere was fantastic. Such a wonderful vibe especially in this lovely weather. Would highly recommend.

We were staying in Stony Stratford and just said farewell to family, who had joined us for lunch. As they left, we walked down a small alley way to get back to the main street, it was a great find. After having some difficulty booking on-line, I went in and booked the table. For food, service, and atmosphere, the whole place was first-rate. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. The wine and cocktails list was outstanding, and the ones we picked fitted our meal perfectly. The gentleman that I booked the table with apologised about the problem booking on-line, and said he would look into it. We shall return.

Vibrant busy atmosphere. Excellent service. Some dishes overpriced. Wine at £10.50 a glass!!! Coulod do with some noise reduction investment such as tapestries.

A hidden gem in Stony Stratford! A gorgeous hidden location and incredible choices of food! My partner and I couldnt decide to had half of each others in the end... half the bacon brioche and half of the steak baguette! Definitely leave room for pudding as the crepes are incredible!

We came here for a dinner date. Absolutely loved the food from the complimentary Amuse Bouche, Foix Gras, Poulet Breton and the beautiful dessert. We throughly enjoyed our meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was also really nice with French music playing. The only suggestion for improvement would be that the waiters have a better dress code; they are all dressed differently we think some kind of dress code would work better for the ambiance.

Great decor and atmosphere here, especially on a summer's day! Had a lovely Croque Monsieur here, which came with a side of chips or salad. Staff were friendly and service was quick, my only comment would be the chips could have been more hot !

Went for brunch. Excellent options and generous portions. Shared a savory crepe and had an individual dessert crepe. Gluten-free options are available. If you want the Afternoon Tea service, please call at least 24 hours in advance. That way, they can make any dietary accommodations. I look forward to returning when the weather is warmer to enjoy the terrace. Great for couples and groups of 4.

The restaurant itself is small and got very hot, and the service was fine, but the Afternoon Tea was one of the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend.

My friend and I visited the French Affaire for the first time and we really loved it. Lunch was even better than expected,the food was fresh. It was so good and we ate so fast that we didn’t even take photos.

Very nice place, had lunch here today. Not really pushchair/small chils friendly. Inside full and busy and we sat outside, looked so busy with not enough staff. Male staff quite unhelpful, the waitress through was very nice however service was very, very slow. - we were sat for a while before drink orders, food arrived at an okay time but after finishing the wait was forever.

Visited for our engagement back in 2020 and visited again tonight for valentine's. Honestly had a fantastic experience. My wife is a vegetarian and often the options are below par or an after thought on set menus but the food was amazing, cocktails are great...

Lunch time was extremely noisy, conversation with friends was almost impossible. A delicious French omelette was ruined by the accompanying 'toast' : a warm white slice, cut in half, no butter until requested. Service was, however, excellent and prices very reasonable.

Went for brunch with my friend after a long while. Such a cute and bougie place, the staff are very welcoming and it's very clean. Atmosphere was relaxing, the decor was too cute too. Food, well what can I say, amazing and I was satisfied. I had the savory crepe, egg royal and a freshly sqeezed peach drink. Reasonably priced too, I will definitely come again!!

Food was OK, although mine was cold. It was very noisy, which may not be a complaint for everybody. The service was good but the waiters were not friendly at all.

Food is very nice with lots of options which is main reason I like this place for lunch/brunch. Service is ok but certain members of staff are unfriendly. They lose a point due it being too hot in there the last time we visited. Never...

Food is eclectic and well presented. The staff are far from welcoming though or polite. In 2023 good service from friendly and helpful waiters should be a given.
