Lovely time at this place got some chicne nuggest for my niece who can’t walk and a Pepsi max it were very yum I do think you should av a soft play upstairs for the young uns as it looks incredibly boring up there Other than that very good and yummy food I will have to tell my good mate drew peacock to try this place out himself

Visited here last year on holiday and returned again. Fish was huge, and crispy batter. Very tasty and good price.

We bought fish and chips from here to eat by the harbour.. They were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and served from a kiosk area to keep ppl COVID19 safe. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

Best fish and chips we have ever had!The fish was perfectly cooked, not too much batter and tasted delicious. Chips were lovely and everything was served piping hot with plenty of salt and vinegar. There is a nice outside seating area to sit and eat, great value for money the portion was definitely big enough for 2! Only around £7 for fish and chips. Quick service and very friendly.5*!

We were in Whitehaven around lunchtime after a morning walk up St Bees Head. We'd given up looking for fish and chips, given the Covid-19 situation, but then found Frasers as we were heading home. It's next to a carpark so easy to stop at. They had a well-managed and happy queue of people ordering takeaways and then when our number was called we collected very generous portions of excellent fish and chips to eat in the car out of the rain. The service was friendly and they managed to appear unhurried while keeping the queue moving very well. The fish was huge and fresh, and the batter was thin and crispy. Chips were spot-on too. We'll be back.

THis is the last English take-away before the transport hub. It is very convenieant for taking fish & chips home, or eating them from the paper if you are unable to wait. Frasers took over from Crosbys iin these premises as the leading shop of its type in the town. Well worth anybody's money!

Went out for a lovely meal with my homies. I, floppy fras ordered a chips and gravy, my friends fat koch, greasy tom and cheesy gnob all ordered a big sa6sage. All were very satisfying. Very sad about the cafe being closed. Hope lindas well soon x

Popped in for some fish chips after walk. The lady serving was lovely and food great. A good portion of chips and fish was a good sized portion. Batter thin and not greasy, and the fish was a good white colour and not thin. Great find

We popped in here on our way to the lakes. Pie, Chips and Gravy was amazing. Fantastic quality and quantity and reasonably priced too.

I was visiting relatives in Cumbria today and they were saying how good Fraser's is so I decided to give it a try and I was so glad I did.The cafe is spotless, service was excellent and food was superb and cheap too. The portions were huge but I are every scrap because it was so good. One of the best chippies I have been too and I have eaten in the Magpie in Whitby.Highly recommended.

Stumbled across this well run Fish& Chip shop whilst visiting Whitehaven for the weekend and not knowing where to eat. It was busy with locals on a sunny night and we were lucky to get a table inside. Husband and I had Haddock, Chips, Mushy peas and pot of tea. Excellent! Staff very friendly, table clean and quick service. Delicious and reasonable cost. Recommend.

Poped in to Frasers very busy which is good and well worth the wate had fish and chips take out went and sat on the harbour side to eat them, service good reasonable price for quontie and quolity definetly will be back

We visited Frasers this afternoon after reading good TA reviews. It’s rather unassuming from the outside and on a road behind the promenade. You can eat in or take away: we decided to eat in. The place was very clean and the staff friendly and efficient. We both had large fish & chips with mushy peas, bread & butter, and tea. Service was prompt and the food arrived piping hot and cooked to order. The fish was succulent and tasty, but the mushy peas were disappointingly watery. Overall it was very good and great value for money: only £21.80! So, we’d recommend Frasers as a great choice in Whitehaven.

We come from The Home Counties and have not had fish and chips this good for years. Actually, not in living memory. I wish we had a local fish and chips place like this in our area. I had the haddock and my family all had Cod. My daughter even had the sweet & sour chicken balls and chips, superb. Loved it and the table service was first class as well. I fed the whole family for the same cost as one very poor main meal in Bowness on windermere.

We had: large haddock, seafood basket, scampi (and chips with all). All in all excellent. The chips were very good. We had a sit down meal. The lady (?proprietor) was extremely welcoming. The place is a really popular takeaway and we would be delighted to be back when next on the area.

Poped in tonight for our supper asked for fish and chips fish well done, got home fish not well done chips tasted terrible fish it's self was nise but batter was to soft for use. Got chil Concarny for some one else and posible sorse bit full as leaked out on to carpet in the car

Not been to Whitehaven before so choosing a great fish and chips lunch was difficult but at Fraser's it was a good one

Visiting family in the area again and called in for fish supper after a long walk. We both had fish, chips and mushy peas and thoroughly enjoyed them. The portions were large and so well cooked that we returned the next week and had the same again. Highly recommended

Popped in to Frasers tonight for fish and chips, fish was lovely and fresh broke away being so fresh chips let it down very quiet I have had nicer chips in there.

I was so pleased to see GF as an option. My daughter age 7 is celiac and trying to get a takeaway that’s Gluten free is difficult.

Just had fish and chips here for lunch and they were superb. I have eaten fish and chips that claim to be this and that but these were marvellous. Chips hot and tasty and the fish...wow, flaky and moist with light crispy batter just how it should be.... will call again definitely if we are in Whitehaven

Come here with confidence - in a town bereft of decent food options - decided on take away. Service was welcoming and quick. Food was fresh and very tasty and all good value for money. A good choice for a tasty take away.

Poped in to Fraser's the auther day nice chips fresh for a change as normaly starring to be on cold side even when they have been sitting in the warmer verry polite young girl but concentration was some where else as picked up the vinigor and put on three times

Had take away fish and chips. great chips, moist, creamy and lightly crispy, fish was cooked well too with light crispy batter and moist tender fish, plenty of it too. Also had a sit down meal here before and it was equally as good. Will definitely be returning and would certainly recommend.

Visited the restaurant last Friday lunch time. I chose the fish special for £7.50 which I enjoyed and though was good value however, my partner had Pattie and chips which was £6.95!!!!!! The takeaway price was £3.95 so paying £3 for the privilege of a seat! 30p for a slice of thin bread, £1.30 for a small pot of mush (should have been peas) and £1.20 for a can of Vimto, this making my partners meal £9+ alone. Very overpriced and overated.

We were staying on holiday near the marina and called in for a take away one evening. The fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was thin and crisp and golden. The chips were really good as well and the portions large.

Visited here, after having a bad experience at another Whitehaven chip shop. We were served by a polite young lass, and food arrived very quickly. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat all of my meal, as the fish was massive, and cooked to perfection. If I was going to leave something, it was going to be the chips, as that fish was the beat we’ve had. We’ll certainly be back the next time we come to visit family/friends here.

After almost five hours after leaving London I found this place on the way down from the statio - and glad I did!

Best chippy in town eat in or take away lovely staff and very clean staff very friendly also seating out side of take to harbour and enjoy

Was greeted by a very stressed girl who told us no tables as they were full but could go and look up stairs. We went up and all tables empty but all dirty and covered in dirty plates etc

Wandered in with my partner and ordered two portions of chips. One with sausage and one with cheese. Walked from the shop, round the corner went to bite into a chip and they were freezing cold. After going back in and complaining, expecting fresh, hot chips they are gone 5 mins back out from the back and had been microwaved. Yes, I had warm chips but the cheese along with the chips and sausage tasted like rubber.

Although the shop was reasonably busy my order was taken quickly for takeaway. There was a wait for the fish and the chips to be cooked but I prefer to wait for freshly cooked food rather than be given something that has been kept heated for a while. The fish and chips were excellent, a moist meaty big portion of fish with a thin layer of crispy batter and nicely cooked chips. I would definitely return if I am in the area again.

Although advertised as being open until 9:00pm, we visited at 6:15pm on a Saturday for a takeaway.
