Franzina Trattoria catered our West London wedding in September last year and every single part of the experience was exceptional, from the tastings to the big day itself. We had 110 guests to feed and they all told us the same thing - it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. At a tasting beforehand, Pietro and Stefania took us through an incredible range of delicious options for canapes and the main meal. The food was all unbelievable. The pasta was the perfect amount of food and because it was fresh, it lined everyone’s stomachs without making them feel sluggish – we had people on the dancefloor until 2am! Pietro and Stefania were an absolute pleasure to work with. They care deeply about doing the best possible job and it really came across in the food. The ingredients are so carefully sourced and are such high quality. My partner and I have been to Sicily many times before and you just won’t get this type of authentic Sicilian cuisine anywhere else. If you are looking for a caterer, we strongly recommend you get in touch, you won’t regret it. Not only did they make our big day so memorable, but we now get to visit the restaurant every year on our anniversary to relive the experience. Not many other caterers give you that option. So a massive final thank you to Pietro and Stefania!

Lovely service from the staff. Pre evening entertainment supper with Two Arinchini starters. Both excellent and freshly prepared. Will definitely recommend to friends and family in the area.

The real Sicilian cuisine, amazing ingredients, excellent customer service and nice atmosphere. We been several times, and we always had great experiences. The food is excellent, I’m Sicilian, and this is the only place that makes me feel home. Sicilian focaccia “sfincione” is a must. Pietro and his staff are great Cinisi.

We have been meaning to try this place for some time and I am pleased that we made the effort. The food and drink menus are not long but still offer a wide selection, focused on Sicily. Enjoyed all that we ordered. Service is efficient. We struggled to hear each other at times and this is the only gripe. The restaurant is small, perhaps 30 covers inside, with seating at the back around shared tables of 6 to 8. With a low ceiling and music, noise levels are relatively high. The area at the front was quieter and perhaps a better place to sit.

Went for a family NYE dinner. What a find! Great food cooked fresh and served by the chef himself with pride and a lovely smile. Authentic Sicilian dishes and specials, good choice of wine and affordable prices. We will definitely return when back in Brixton.

My partner and I went this evening. Everything tasted like someone cooking with a cold. The singular Arrancina was bland, the serving platter was small (6 tiny olives!) and Sicilian potato cakes were gummy and flavourless. Ultimately, this would not be okay if it was cheap, but for 2 people we didn’t get any change from £80. Cheaper and tastier food across the way in Brixton food market. I really wanted to have a positive experience, as I’ve lived in Brixton over 25 years, but sadly it wasn’t pleasant. The problem started when I returned a seafood special which hadn’t been cleaned properly and was completely full of grit. The management were not happy and after giving me the evil eye they just ignored me. Very childish behaviour. The older female serving me seemed embarrassed by the whole sordid scene. Other than that the food was okay. So I’m really sad that the men working there were not able to be humble and accept their mistake. I’m a very forgiving customer and so I will often return even if it not amazing, but their attitude towards me was so disgusting I just couldn’t go back. The older lady serving was lovely.

Awful customer service. I accidentally booked the wrong day and called up to ask if i could change my booking to the night after and use the £40 they would charge my card towards my bill and they promised that money would be refunded if i turned up that night. I came that night with 2 friends and spent alot of money (thinking i would be refunded for my card charge) and thinking they had great customer service for helping me with that. They have now ignored all my outreach to them and never refunded me for what they promised they would do.

It’s good to see this restaurant that started in Pop Brixton has now relocated and has permanent residence by. I biked a table for four outside for my brothers birthday. From the moment we arrived I felt we had been transported to Sicily. The menu was varied and inventive with ingredients from the areas of Enna and Agrigento. I had octopus which tasted as though it was fresh from the sea with fennel and orange salad. Other delights were small balls of arancini, huge langoustine with a delicious rich bisque sauce and then a pasta with fresh basil from the area of Trapani. The menu was well priced and also had a good wine and beer offering. We travelled from Buckinghamshire to visit this restaurant and was so worth the visit. If you have the opportunity then please go to have a wonderful taste of Sicily.

We came in on a busy Saturday night. We were told we would only have the table for one hour. Not a problem as it was a busy Saturday night. We were seated outside while the waiter hovered around us. I asked the waiter for some help with the menu and proceeded to order our starters for us instead which we didn’t ask for. Feeling rushed as the waiter was standing directly behind my partner she ordered a truffle pasta which was £18 (extortionate for pasta I know). We had less than 5 minutes to look at the menu. We were not offered any drinks by this particular waiter. We needed up ordering 2 arancini balls and some chick pea with bread dish. All dishes lacked seasoning and flavour, the food did come out fast which was good. Our mains came. I had ordered the Ragu which lacked flavour, seasoning and interest. My partners truffle mushroom dish was stodgy and uninteresting. I could cook something much tastier at home for a fraction of the price. Another waiter ( I assume manager ) cleared our table and saw that I had only eaten half of the Ragu, I politely told him it lacked excitement. He apologised and took off the Ragu which I was pleased with. He seemed sincere. The price for the food is ok however considering how tasteless and uninspiring the food is I would much recommend taking your menu and going back o one of the menu other restaurants in Brixton

Very below average. Poor food, poor service. Their epic location means they’ll never be short of business, just avoid and don’t waste your money there.

Came for a gluten free meal and had a good selection of choices with no side effects, but the food itself was pretty average. We shared a mushroom arancina to start, which was actually quite plain. The gluten free pasta in the ammuttunata was very nice but the sauce was underwhelming. The wine was lovely, the service great and the atmosphere very nice and relaxed, but the food just wasn't what I hoped for. The table (outside) was also comically small and not the most comfortable.
