chips terrible. should have gone in the bin and not sold to anyone. pie clearly microwaved. definitely would not recommend to anyone. No care given so no care shown. avoid.

Recently moved to the area and tried out a few English Chippy's. This one is by far the best. I can recommend the puddings, sausages, meat & potato pies, cheese & onion pies, scallops and the chips too 😋

The restaurant were wonderful and I have no issues with them, they waited past close for a delivery driver to bother showing up, props to them, however I’m not happy with the delivery service from just eat there was NO communication from just eat and the chippy and I were left waiting forever with no answers. Because of this the food arrived Luke warm. I’m really disappointed and I don’t wish to use just eat again, however I would gladly order from the chippy again!

Food arrived hot and fresh. Really pleasant driver. Chips and gravy portion huge. Very tasty gravy and perfectly cooked chips. Pies and puddings good too.

Have been here 3 times as my auntie and uncle live nearby and her hairdresser recommended it. Was definitely not disappointed chips were so tasty crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Fish was massive and the batter not too greasy and cooked really well. I was given a pot of Irish curry to try and that was delicious so ordered it next time we went. Staff are so nice and friendly and prices are very reasonable compared to others. If you're looking for proper chippy chips give this place a try!!

I went in after closing (didn’t realise as the lights were on and door open). The staff member was extremely rude. Manners cost nothing. However upon our previous visits the other staff have been friendly and food good.

OK. everything stone cold. took nearly 25 minutes to deliver. this was a first and last order

Ordered on Uber eats food came over 1 hour later fair enough may not be there fault , food got here freezing cold there rice was that microwaved packet stuff it tastes rotten was very hard almost crunchy plz invest in a rice machine hardly any curry on anything all the food was bland and soggy muffing is only 50% buttered will never order again disgusting & disappointed

I really hate leaving this review we always love this place but the chips were old and cold the fish was half the size like it had been chopped in half and lumpy gravy 🤦‍♀️

Ordered once before, food was good. So ordered again tonight for them to miss of an item off so had to order as part of an elderly person's tea. It's cost me an additional 7.00. Got told it will be here 6.20, and arrived at 7pm an hour after ordering. Will not be going back

Food is lovely but been in twice over the last 2 weeks and had to walk out. Only me in queue yet the staff ignored me to busy looking at what a shop lifter brought in for sale! Shame because my family love the food and I don't live local but always drove there. Not anymore after walking out 2 times!!

What an absolutley lovely chippy all the staff are top and so friendly. The charity food give away was amazing today. Loads of people got the chance to eat for free thanks to the owner and Sacha, local counselor Olu and of course all the staff. Thansk so much for bringing this to our community at a time when wr are all struggling. No expense was spared. Quality if food was great even tho it was so so busy. Thank u so very much. Hope u all rest well tonight after a very long and busy shift.

Fish again terrible, little fish, more flour and batter than fish. Shame, everything else was ok.

Great Chippy to order from, used them quite often. Had the special today (Friday so Chilli) It was great but unfortunately they forgot my can of coke. Paid for 3 and should’ve got a 4th with my special meal; but one was missing.

We Love Frankies fish bar but the fish last night was terrible, all batter with little fish, not what we normally get from Frankies. The sausage, chips and gravy great, fish not so good.

went in as working close by today got chilli rice and chips and the chilli is the nicest i’ve ever had i don’t ever leave reviews for places but it was 10/10 homemade aswell i believe very friendly in there also

The food from here is amazing. Larger than average portions, fish cooked perfectly as well and the service from all of the staff is so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend Frankie's Fish Bar to everyone!

My dinner was lovely thank you everyone.

Lovely chippy took my grandkids we sat inside for our meal. My grandson had the chicken nugget kids meal & my granddaughter had the sausage kids meal. I had pudding chips & The really nice Chinese curry. The food was piping hot the kids liked as it felt like a treat and then the kids had the Tango slushy each. I will go again.

Very disappointing fish and chips, the batter was two thick resulting in the inside being very doughy also this portion of chips was mainly the scrapings which were also full of odd fry bits . I won’t be going back in a hurry

Chips burnt food dry not good went in the bin waist of money

My son popped in for the first time the other day and said how friendly everyone was to him and he felt really welcomed. I called earlier today to ask about allergens and they were super helpful!!

A little bit more expensive than my usual place, but worth it will order again

I've had the chicken curry special and the chilli special- both are gorgeous! (The curry is my favourite and I would pay good money for their recipe😉) The price is more than reasonable at £5 for the special including chips, rice and a can of your choice. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I always look forward to enjoying your food. P.S please never stop doing the chicken curry😆
