Frankie & Benny's in Stoke-on-Trent

AWFUL EXPERIENCE !! Disgusting food. Terrible service. Will not be returning. Put me off for life. Arrived and took 20 minutes before offered drinks which then took about 30 minutes to come. Ordered mozzarella sticks but no cheese was visible inside. When food finally arrived after an hour of waiting even though the restaurant was not busy, we were shocked. The food was cold , the bacon was raw , the pizza base was not cooked thoroughly and the cheese looked out of date. We were put in an awful seat even though the rest of the restaurant was available. Smell of fish surrounded us. Unwelcoming staff. Worst meal of my life. Paid £50 for an appalling meal. I have enjoyed Frankie’s and Benny’s before but this experience of poor food and service will stop me from ever going again.

Not the greatest of visits. Booked for 10 people only to be split over two booths table next to us would have fitted all of us comfortably but apparently it was reserved. We were there two hours and no one turned up within the time we were there. We had to push the two round tables together and ‘make do.’ Ordered cups of tea and they were tiny for £2.30. When we ordered a second one we got a bigger cup for the same price. Felt ripped off. Milk came in an espresso cup as well not a milk jug. Toast well that was more like warm bread, had to send it back as it was only toasted on one side, still no better when it came back. Bacon on the pancakes was cold, the extra eggs we ordered were cold. By this point we had given up so didn’t say anything. Wasn’t even busy at all. Usually very good as well.

Came out for a meal with a friend for a meal and the meal was cooked to our satisfaction and the server was wonderful. She made sure the order was correct as I have a food allergy so she made sure it was cooked and prepared separately from other food.

Great server Aura. Quick service and good food (though slightly average premade pancakes). Would come again as something for everyone.

We had walked in to try the breakfast as my partner really wanted to try it. Our waitress took us to our seat and asked that we use the QR code on the menu. After scanning the QR code, we realised it was displaying on both our phones that it had expired. So my partner tried waving to the waitress (with the red hair) who seemed too busy staring into space in the corner. After she was walking to give someone their food, she saw us waving to her for some assistance, but she decided to ignore us and looked like she was starting to take a break. After 15 minutes of waiting, we decided to walk out and not eat here again. Not a pleasant experience.

Amazing value for money. Party of 13 as a class trip for lunch. Charlotte our waitress was so welcoming and attentive. We have already booked for next Wednesday for lunch again. Charlotte is a real asset to the Frankie and Bennys team.

On arrival we were greeted by Charlotte. Polite, engaging and very helpful. Prompt service even with a large group of 14. Charlotte took the time to chat to us and find out further information with regards to booking a pizza experience lunch. Great service and with a smile. Thank you for a lovely experience.

It was the first time (and last time) we went to this chain restaurant. It’s nice restaurants but… The table was filthy although the staff wiped it with bleach which was smelled as soon as we sat down. We ordered the beef and chicken steak and salmon. The food was just okay, nothing special on it, small portion and not warm enough. We waited 25 minutes which would be okay if other customers who came later,didn’t get their order before us. Waitress said they needed to prepare steak and salmon from fresh, hence the delay. But … the steaks are done in 15 minutes including lie down. Sides and sauces are pre-made. I don’t understand why food in this restaurant is so overpriced if you will wait long and food is lukewarm. Paid £80 .
