Frankie & Benny's in Dacorum

My partner and I went out to frankies and bennies, Hemel, last night and were disappointed by how expensive the food was for a two burgers, two portions of chips and two drinks (£40+). The waiter was very polite and very helpful. Unfortunately, the following day my partner and I have become ill with extremely upset stomachs.

Good service but I should stop there. Food was basic and uninspiring. Advertised an Italian place but chicken parmesan was just a piece of breaded chicken fried and pasta was just noodles with minimal sauce. Price was high for what was delivered.

I really enjoyed friday evening in Frankies Hemel Hempstead. Very good food served quick and was hot, I could see from my table as it was freshly grilled for me. Definitely will be coming back

Was a really busy night but the staff were really friendly and polite. They have a really good selection on the vegan menu.

Went in Saturday night for a meal boyfriend meal was ok mine I had steak was full of fat and gristle which I could not eat which was a shame will not be going back agen

We walked into a lovely enviroment, and were greeted by Kyle. Great service led to great food and a wonderful experience! Would reccomend to all and certainly return.

We had to evacuate Tesco's because of methane alarm went off we took refuge there laura the waitress was serving she was rushed off her feet with lots of tesco staff deserves special praise for looking after us well done to all involved

just wanted to thank frankie and Benny's hemel hempstead and staff member laura, I work for tesco who unfortunately our store was evacuated this morning due to a gas leak and we got put up in the frankie and Benny's across the road and was given tea and coffee

Food was good had black and blue burger service was good and fast portion sizes are not that big otherwise I would have give another star

Kyle was very professional, had great manners and timely service- great food also, highly recommend

Just had a wicked meal for my sons birthday and Kyle the waiter made it a wonderful night for all of us cheers mate

Had a very good experience here. Firstly I am someone who suffers from nut allergy’s and when you come into a restaurant sometimes it’s not a good feeling. But as soon as we walked in we were asked if we have any allergies, I knew from this moment my experience was going to be good here. We was served by James, he sat down with us going through the different options available on his mobile, this made me feel very welcoming and that nothing was too much of a problem for him. We had starters, mains and deserts in which all were very tasty. If I could of given this place 10 stars I would of!!!! Very very good!!!! Thanks to you James and thank you F&B Hemel.

Had a very lovely evening with my husband. Our waitress Natalia was amazing. She had no trouble finding dish that best suited my husband who has nut allergy.

Standard Frankie & Benny's - good value food in an American diner-style setting

I been there and the service was service was very very good, all the waitresses was very friendly, the food was very delicious, I really want to say thanks to Dany and Tanaka for the service, see you soon.

Had a pretty bad time here tonight. To set the scene the restaurant was completely dead. My table and another table of maybe 6 or 7 people. We ordered our drinks and waited. And waited and waited. 15 minutes later 4 drinks come back, not sure what took so long seeking as two of the drinks were bottled and the other two were on tap. We then ordered two burgers and a dessert. We were kept waiting for 45 minutes, bearing in mind there was only one other table who had already eaten. Kitchen staff only had to make 2 burgers and a dessert. The kitchen is opened into the restaurant area so you can see in. I didn't see any staff in there until maybe half an hour after we ordered our food. Eventually our food came. One of the burgers was burnt and the other was very gritty. The dessert was ok though. After we had finished we were forgotten about. We could have walked right out and not one member of staff would have noticed as they werent to be seen. We had to go and find someone to get the bill, even so we were left waiting yet again do we decided to find another member of staff to pay and even though they did apologise for the wait, we believe we should have gotten at least 20% off due to terrible service from the team. A real let down in general. Might I also add this wasn't the first time this has happened at this resturant!

James was Fantastic, quick easy service. Jordan also made a nice cocktail.

Went for a meal about 2 days ago and I must say the service was amazing our waiter was great ‘Natalia’ made sure everything was okay was very polite and amazing.I must say food was GREAT!! I will definitely be coming back

Great music and atmosphere. Came here to enjoy a meal before going to the cinema. We were served by cherpy lad who’s name is Olaf like snowman from Frozen :) thanks for great service you’re a credit to the company!

Would not recommend this restaurant as when we went everything we wanted was not available. In the end we gave up and went somewhere else.

Coke zero was the worse taste ever, but lady was kinda and replaced them without question, food was great and staff were friendly

Very helpful staff. Allergy aware. Enormous 15" pizza very tasty. Lemon Chicken n chips [dairy free] was a lovely sauce - could do with even more sauce. Different version of Chicken parmigiana; 2 chicken breast, fries and spaghetti.

Went to Frankie & Benny's to celebrate my granddaughters 7th birthday the staff was excellent couldn't do enough for us even joined in with the birthday song for her food and atmosphere was great. parking not an issue will definitely go back

Young boy with black hair and beard sorry I can't remember his name but always provides great service, the rest are ok but he's really attentive.

Food was very average. Long wait for service even longer for the bill. Staff seemed very pressured.

Once again disappointed with the restaurant as turned up for breakfast and they are not ready to be open yet there opening times is 9 am Would just like to add this is the 3rd time happening in the last 3 months Maybe should consider changing your opening times.

Great service. Fantastic management! I'm convinced they had changed their management around as now service is just phenomenal. Staff will fly to the moon and back concerning customer care. I'm really impressed with the kid friendly service. Well done Frankies and Bennys Hemel and keep up the hard work.

Understaffed and food is absolutely s**t

Simply Amazing. Lovely and friendly staff who were very helpful and understood wen my little one was having tantrums. Management seems to make sure they made every customer feel comfy by say hi and checking on us after d massive tantrum lol

Been here a few times service hasn't impressed me in the slightest, went with a mate who has allergens/food specific diet needs ect. I asked for a gluten free menu took ages to come also the portions were much smaller on my friends plate than mine.. bit odd considering he paid more to my knowledge. Drinks were flat coke tasted like mildly sugared water with a faint colour of disappointment. Looking around people also seemed displeased with food drinks waiters weren't there to help not even sure where they went I had to walk to the bar to ask for a second drink. Overall please prove me wrong in future I'd be willing to come try the same foods again and re-write my review but not at my own expense. I would recommend having key staff in more ideal places and making sure people check on tables to see if they can do anything to improve the quality of a meal. Chefs work had to please customers however they aren't the ones serving it so they cant change or improve what they can see or hear.

Food could be better and it's a bit noisy

A surprisingly good experience, fast and efficient service with a smile, good food and atmosphere. We will be returning!

Excellent night for a Birthday Celebration!

Most of the time a brilliant restaurant with brilliant service and very family friendly. Good for vegetarians too.

Despite booking in advance, we still had to wait 20 mins for our table. Had to ask for sugar, cutlery and butter. Two meals were wrong: one had to be sent back and additional food brought out for the other. Scrambled eggs had been fried and were dripping in grease. No compensation or discount offered for the wait or wrong items. Won't be returning anytime soon or recommending it. That said, service was surprisingly quick and efficient and the coffee was nice.

Loved the food and service. Laura was amazing!

A very warm welcome, followed by excellent service. My husband is profoundly deaf and Laura was extremely patient. She and the others who came to check on us whilst we were eating, made a concerted effort to ensure that we were enjoying our meal as well as the general Frankie's experience. Nothing else to say other than that it was awesome. Thank you!

Been here many times but I'm always disappointed. There never seem to be enough staff so you are waiting forever for your order to be taken and for the food to arrive. When you want to pay wait at least 20 minutes to get someone's attention as they seem to ignore you. The food I want never seems to be available. Total disappointment. Wouldn't recommend.

The place was full, however we've been served very quickly. The food was amazing, waiters and waitress was helpful and kind. The atmosphere was vibrant and entertaining.

A nice cold pale ale and a new York giant pizza. A great way to ponder over a morning cinema visit.

Main meal was great but then the kids deserts were awful, the children's brownie was smaller than an apple cut in half! Then when we ordered a tropical ice lolly it tasted like plain ice with absolutely no flavour what so ever! Last time was great but we won't be ordering desert again! My dad had the bbq pulled pork hot dog and it was not bbq pulled pork it was pulled pork with a DRIZZLE! of bbq sauce... 😔

Dreadful, left things off the order & the chips were like rubber. The pickup service was used

Place was quiet with a few customers, so no excuse for missing cheese off philly steak, for hot dog to be cold or bun to be hard at the end! Sadly, the spaghetti we ordered was also cold. Next time we go to cinema will go to Mcdonalds!

We enjoyed the food but service was poor. I feel that they cared more about the take away service more than the table service.

Poor customer service this time. Waited 15 mins for service when it was empty. Food was very good though.

We go for the vegan menu, with which we are spoilt for choice. However, every time we go there is a problem. First time, we had a long wait, burnt food and errors with our order (the table next to us were waiting 1.5 hours for their food, the manager was f’ing and b’ing audibly from the kitchen - lots of people left without paying that night. The second time, we ordered a take out and were told on the phone that it would be ready to collect when we got there, when we arrived they hadn’t started cooking it, the manager eventually brought it out to my husband and shoved it into his hands without a word and walked off. Most recently, a waitress there rolled her eyes and tutted at me because I dared to question her about the meerkat 2 for 1 offer! The only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is the vegan menu, it’s the only reason we keep going back and putting ourselves through the ordeal of the terrible service.

Pizza, pasta, burgers. Nice family restaurant often quiet during the day but gets livelier in the evenings. The accept Meerkat meals as well so definitely worth a visit.

Standard f & b restsurant. Good that they serve food late. But chilly, even my othet half was cold. The onion rings were the best I'd had in a long time. Pina colada very disapointing. More like a slush puppy with coconut flavouring. Food good, loos clean, parking easy & free

Food was on point, veggie options reasonable. Very very busy when peak, ensure you book if you plan to visit at these times.

Ribs advertised as SMOTHERED in bbq sauce! I can barely see any! Had to ask for additional side of sauce. The venue is always great, especially for kids, but the menu is so old and tired it should have been retired on a pension years ago. Ribs were tender though, so no complaints. Coleslaw was terrible mess. Onions rings nice. Kids big eater meals are SMALL. Kids older than 10 need to be on adults menu, which is a bit of a joke. Steak nicely done. Its not that F&B is bad, its just that the food is consistently average at best, and all at full london restaurant prices, for what, at best, is takeaway food. The venue and decor will, reluctantly, draw us back, because kids love it, but this is meant to be a serious restaurant, not a childrens play area. Need to up both the menu and the game generally. About £70 for two adults and two children with soft drinks only
