We have just visited Francos and can say, hand on heart, that we will be back. The ambience was perfect, it was bright enough to see and it wasn't too loud either. The food was delicious and hot, very clearly prepared with love. The waiting staff were all lovely and had a nice joke with us, one even picked up that I speak another language which was a really nice touch. Everybody was very attentive and I don't have a single negative thing to say. Loved it, thank you!

Our first time here and wow it did not disappoint!! Every table was taken in the restaurant which I think speaks volumes about how great it is. The service was quick & efficient, a special mention to Franco Junior who was so pleasant. We got chatting to him and he told us the history of the business. The food was delicious, very hot & so tasty. All 3 of us very much enjoyed our meal & we will be back very soon!

Really good Italian food. Everything is clearly made with fresh ingredients. I often get the fillet steak or beef stroganoff and it's absolutely top notch. I went to Hawksmoor in Manchester recently which is a high end steakhouse and even their steak was no match for Franco's. Side note. Franco has incredible pork ribs, they are so tender and the secret sauce is unreal.

Fantastic food as always at Francos, excellent customer service from Davide the manager, he always makes everyone feel special, very professional at his job,a great asset to Francos.

Came here for lunch with office staff to treat them overall good , but not brilliant ,two of us got pizzas plenty of toppings but base was mushy and not cooked enough won’t be back in hurry much better at picolinos over road

This place never fails to deliver! Lovely atmosphere & excellent quality food. Nowhere like this locally. We had mackerel starter & calamari. Delicious! Americans pizza & mushroom risotto mains. Faultless. All washed down with a fruity wine & a couple of grappa to finish. Great service & good value. If you haven’t been, you do not know what you’re missing.

We came for a business lunch with a client on the nearby industrial park. They said it was a regular for them, and for the food I can see why. I had their special of aged venison ragu, which was lovely. However, it would be remiss to not mention that awkward conversation we had with the owner. I’m all for a familiar environment, and when he came over unannounced and sat down at our table for a chat, it was quite charming. That said, his rather racist opinions that he proceeded to air with us were unwelcome and made the situation quite uncomfortable. If they can keep the friendly atmosphere but perhaps some less controversial topics of conversation then it would have been perfect.

Simply the best! Real traditional Italian food using the right ingredients, full of flavour and good menu choice with excellent service. If Franco is there have a chat, lovely friendly guy knows the business inside out. I highly recommend Francos, never had a bad meal.

Great food and pleasant service. Went in for lunch as I was in the local office for the day and very thankful that I did! The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful but having ordered the lasagna it was the start of the show!! I struggled to pick my meal as there was so much on offer but as I am in a local hotel tonight I might come back! The bread, paste and olives are so tasty to start with! Great job guys see you again soon!

Ordered 2 pizzas and garlic bread!! Really tasty lovely pizzas cooked perfectly! All enjoyed will definitely return! Staff friendly and efficient a great experience and reasonably priced.

Wonderful venue, sensational authentic food, simple yet delicious.I visited recently for an outdoor lunch and had a great experience. The team were friendly, helpful and all service was provided in a Covid-safe environment.I scanned my app when I came in, was directed to my seat outside and given the choices.We went for the ribs and pizzabread starter with the lobster ravioli and pasta mains. Simply delicious, great flavours, tastes authentic and well presented.10/10 for this wonderful hidden gem.

We have had several take away meals from Francos during lockdown and they have always been fabulous. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff is second to none. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Our last take away was on 14th April for a family birthday and the food was divine.

We were having a birthday bash takeaway meal this week and one of our party ordered a lasagna.We have ordered this numerous times before and it's been tasty and substantial. Not on this occasion though. It was just a tasteless slop.Never again.

We've always loved Francos but not been for a while with lockdown etc but our visit today was still as lovely as ever. The food was amazing and the staff friendly too thank you.

Comimos aquí en el último minuto después de un largo día ajetreado en nuestra estancia. Si no ha reservado con antelación, no podrá entrar a ningún sitio durante el programa Eat out Help Out. Lucikly llamamos y dijeron que viniera. El lugar estaba super ocupado. Sentí que estaba abarrotado y había un mínimo distanciamiento social con las mesas. El servicio era bueno, la comida era buena y no tuvimos que esperar mucho. Con el esquema, la factura de la comida era excelente, pero al salir la cola dentro del lugar era larga y se sentía un poco claustrofóbica. Durante estos tiempos inciertos, los lugares deben tener en cuenta la cantidad de personas en el establecimiento, pero este no fue el caso. El restaurante no tomó ningún detalle para realizar un seguimiento. Considere la seguridad de sus clientes antes que las ganancias.

Esta fue nuestra primera visita a Franco's y nuestra primera comida desde el cierre. Nos sentamos afuera y las mesas estaban bien espaciadas para sentirnos seguros. El personal fue muy amable y nos hizo sentir bienvenidos.Tuve el filete y fue increíble, totalmente derretido en la boca. Lo único malo es que se acabaron o tiramisú, ¡así que tendré que volver a probar eso la próxima vez!

Llevo años viniendo a Franco's, excelente comida y hospitalidad como siempre, y es bueno ver que tienen desinfectante de manos por todo el restaurante y han sacado muchas mesas para darles a todos mucho espacio. El anciano todavía está trabajando duro, aunque un poco mayor y un poco más gruñón que la última vez que vinimos, ¡el lugar no sería el mismo sin él! Sí, puede morder un poco. . . . . pero es porque le importa! Si a todos les importara como a él, el mundo sería un lugar mejor.

Quiero comenzar esta reseña diciendo que he comido aquí más de 30 veces en los últimos 10 a 15 años y siempre lo he disfrutado. Sin embargo, mi experiencia de hoy asegura que nunca volveré a comer allí. Pedí mejillones, algo que no comía desde hace tiempo, cuando llegaron no los disfruté especialmente, como antes, así que los dejé. No me quejé, simplemente no me los comí. El dueño se acercó y cuestionó la comida.Le expliqué que no los estaba disfrutando, pero que podría ser solo yo. Luego se acercó y tomó 2 del plato comiéndolos, lo que me parece muy poco profesional antes de decir con severidad que solo eres tú. Luego me quitó el plato con suficiente fuerza, lo derramó por todo el piso y se alejó sin decir una palabra más. El gerente se acercó y se disculpó por las acciones vergonzosas, ofreciendo comida diferente. Arruinó completamente mi comida y me entristece un poco decir que será mi última visita allí.

During these trying times, it's important to support local business and eat well and look after your mental health.Franco's ticks all the boxes with ease. Simple slot booking service, great menu. The food quality and service is still top notch. No slip in standards just because it's takeout.The only thing that is missing is the Franco's special family atmosphere from the Boss and his team. The Kiev calzone was truly amazing. Had the calbrese pizza last weekend, literally keeping us happy and content at the end of each week in lockdown 10/10

Living just a few minutes from Franco’s we pop in regularly We always begin with the calamari - a fabulous sized helping for two after the complimentary bread and olives Franco had a crab pasta dish on the special menu - served with chilli garlic and cherry tomatoes which was out of this world And the best creme brûlée around. Great night as always

I called up to ask if they did a vegan option as my niece can’t have dairy as it will make her ill, they said yes, got there and went to order her pizza and I asked for the vegan cheese to which I was told they didn’t do it. The manager came over and I informed him of what he had told me on the phone. He responded with “I said we did vegan but you didn’t say dairy free” ... I took this as assuming that the manager did not know that ‘vegan’ means no animal bi-products, so therefore this would include dairy as milk is from a cow! When I asked what she could have then as she would be ill if she had dairy I was told that she could have dry pasta or plain chicken. The manager then left us and I re asked the waiter what she could have and he pointed out of the options with a ‘V’ next to them, to which I said these meant ‘vegetarian’. Food then came and my pizza had about 8 slices of salami on and the equivalent of one mushroom sliced and placed on it, one of my niece’s fungi pizza looked nice and had lots of topping on and my other niece had to opt for a pesto pasta with no cheese. No check back was provided or the offer of more drinks, I had to ask for a jug of water for the table by catching a passing waitress. Staff were friendly and polite but not very knowledgeable or attentive. Very poor to say there were literally us and 2 other people in the restaurant when we ordered. Staff really need to up their knowledge, they claim all over the menu to meet any dietary requirements but it appears this is not the case and being offered dry pasta is really not an option for a paying customer!!

My first visit and it won't be my last. A business lunch on Valentine's day! The food and hospitality were excellent. I had seafood pizza, the prawns were enormous. Franco sat with us for a few minutes after we had eaten, very interesting guy. I will return with my partner as soon as we can arrange it.

It’s pains me to write this review. I have been coming to franco’s for many years & have always been impressed with the ambiance, the service & the food. However on my last visit things weren’t the usual standard. The food itself was beautiful but the service was very poor. We had to remind the staff to bring our starters. We waited a long while for the main. We then asked for some more drinks that never appeared. There seems to be some animosity amongst the staff & they’re not working together as a team. It all seemed very disjointed. Can’t work out quite what has changed but I wish it would go back to how it was before!!

We had a wonderful evening out to this amazing Italian restaurant. We were welcomed by Franco and his staff which was so nice. The meal was very enjoyable, with a selection of deliciously prepared meals. The linguine Frutti di Mare was incredibly tasty and the prawns were large but perfectly cooked. If in the Leeds area this restaurant needs to be visited but suggest you book ahead.

If you want to find a great Italian with outstanding food then you need to visit Franco’s. It’s in a bit of a strange place but now the shops, cinema and gym have opened at the Springs more people should see it. The staff are really friendly and attentive, the owner chats to all his clients and makes sure you’re ok, having a good evening etc. I would highly recommend

Busy, noisey but great atmospher. Food very good, slightly expensive but worth it. Menu is varied and anyone can find something they wish to eat. Too full to eat a dessert although they did look extremely tasty. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I went there with a friend for a pre cinema meal. It’s been a couple of years since I had been to Franco’s and I was shocked by the price increases. Main courses were between £18 and £22, pasta dishes were between £12 and £14. This is expensive compared to many similar restaurants in the area.

Went for a very leisurely lunch, six of us. A very chatty group, taking too long to order. Waitresess allowed us plenty of time to relax and enjoy the afternoon. All food of very good standard, large portions and well priced. Franco was very friendly and we are looking forward to returning.

Delicious authentic, fresh Italian food. A hidden gem in a slightly random location (appears to be at the side of a business park). Probably the best Italian food I’ve had for 15 years. The nationwide, chain Italian restaurants have nothing on this independent business

El restaurante está escondido en la parte trasera de un parque comercial y comercial, pero se compensa con una recepción increíble, excelente comida y un personal muy amable. Los propietarios han estado en el negocio por varios años y ciertamente saben cómo brindar un excelente servicio al cliente. Estábamos en una gran fiesta para una fiesta de cumpleaños. number 1 Italian great food well cooked , great service polite and friendly , great value, without doubt on a par with anywhere in uk

if you like quality. The food is constantly good and service is good. I take the family there often. Even the lunchtime sarnies outshine Greggs next door.

Visited on a busy Saturday evening. Was greeted and told to wait in the bar, fair enough we were 10 mins early. Bar staff weren’t eager to serve they were more interested in tidying & cleaning behind the bar. When we did get seated, & throughout the whole of the meal/visit, service was very slow and poor. Had to wait and catch a waiter for drinks, cutlery etc.

Visiting for the day locally, my husband chose this restaurant based on its reviews.

Having eaten at most of the Italian restaurants in and around the Leeds area, It's my honest and humble opinion that without doubt, Franco's is simply the best because it's better than all the rest.

22 of us went for a 50th Birthday Surprise. The menu is quite extensive with pasta, pizza, spicy sausage, paella, lobster, etc. Although the food didn’t come out all at once (which with 22 of us would have been near impossible) it was one meal after another. The waiting staff were efficient and I think without exception all 22 of us enjoyed the meal. It’s my first visit here but I’d definitely go back. They had massive issues with the fire alarm when we were there that didn’t help but when the fire brigade turned up several of our female guests strained their necks! Ha!

Visited whilst staying at Thorpe Park hotel and spa. Hidden little place, 5 minutes away from the hotel.. Menu had plenty of choices and good selection of specials dishes too. The owner and staff were all very accommodating and lovely. Very busy restaurant so I would suggest booking a table although there is a separate bar area where you can wait for tables. Really happy with our meal and the service, will return

It was my daughters 20th birthday and we had a a table of 14 . This place is excellent! The atmosphere , food and drinks are really good. It’s not cheap but you know the saying ‘you get what you pay for’ . Big recommend.

Visited after a recent cinema trip, didn’t fancy the usual chain of restaurants or a celebrity named restaurant, so decided to check this place out. From first arriving to see if there were any free tables to leaving, the service was spot on. The food was of excellent quality and tasted amazing. All the staff were polite and friendly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back, also looking forward to sampling the lunchtime and deli menus too.

I had an evening meal here with a group of friends. We all chose different things from the extensive menu and we were all very happy with our choices. The food was excellent and plentiful. Service was also excellent. The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant. For what we had the price was very reasonable. I would certainly recommend this restaurant

We choose francos as our family love Italian food. I found this restaurant to be on the expensive side and the quality of the food not brilliant. They had no alcoholic cocktails so I was drinking coke which was not on draft but bottles, they had no sauces such as tomato ketchup. Tables were basic and cutlery was only set for the starters and not the main meal which we had to ask for. Some of the severs came across Inpatient.

Food is lovely. Staff are all excellent. Small patio area outside. Plenty of parking just remember to give staff your registration number. Really enjoyed it here

A very friendly place to eat offering really lovely food. The menu is very extensive so choosing what to eat is the most difficult thing. The restaurant is nice and relaxed and the owner and staff are very helpful and not to obtrusive.

Called into the deli for lunch and we weren’t disappointed. Excellent sandwiches made to order with your choice of fillings, same again with salad box. Would definitely go back and try the restaurant as well. Lovely friendly staff.

Visted Francos for my Dads birthday. All the staff are friendly. All our food was perfect. I had a pizza which was very good. The do put bread on the table and the portions are big so could only fit in a main.

Hope it improves since it's a lovly restaurant.pasta was a bit hard for my liking.not keen on the dessert menu needs something like a cheesecake that's light and fruity. Food took longer than usual.come on Franco

Asistimos a este restaurante nuevamente el fin de semana para un grupo de amigos número 50 de alrededor de 30 personas. La fiesta consistió de niños y adultos y todos disfrutaron de sus comidas. El servicio es excelente y muy servicial. Este es definitivamente uno de los mejores restaurantes de la zona.

A party of 4 and we all ordered differently. Everyone enthused about the food quality and the portions are very generous. All my courses were fantastic but I must mention the chocolate fudge cake - light, strong on flavours with generous helping of smooth, very tasty chocolate sauce. One of the very best desserts I've ever enjoyed.

Birthday meal, am a fan of lobster so obviously ordered lobster ravioli. In my opinion could not taste lobster just crab. Also ordered home made chips and they were definitely not home made positively frozen and at nearly £4 a portion. On a positive note service was good and all staff very polite.

Came here for a meal for my 24th birthday this evening and absolutely loved the food - without a doubt the best meal I have ever eaten in my life! brilliant service, lovely atmosphere and franco made sure he spoke to each table in the restaurant himself, could not recommend this more to anyone!! absolutely amazing! x

Sunday evening birthday meal for 9 people. Beautifully presented food freshly prepared and wonderfully attentive staff most helpful. Franco and his son have service in their blood...great time, chilled relaxed atmosphere....

Good menu choices and also a specials menu too. I felt the starters were price; I had the king scallops (3) with black pudding and pea puree which were very nice. For my main I had linguine fruiti de mare which was tasty and packed with sea food and a huge portion. We were given olives, pitta bread and a lovely anchovy pesto prior to the starters - - nice touch.

Fantastic food, tasty and decent portions with a good range of cuisine including many Italian staples and some surprising ones. The puddings are always great. Plenty of choice for vegetarians too. Waiting staff always crack jokes and make us laugh and the owner always comes to say hi even though we're not regulars.

Four of us went for a meal to Franco's early this year. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and courteous. A really good evening.

Franco and his team never fail to deliver. Warmly welcomed by attentive, kind and considerate staff that really engage and care about their customers. Food is consistently wonderful, atmosphere is as if you were Italy itself. Don’t let the fact that this restaurant is tucked away on an office park put you off, it’s well worth a visit.

The food is always great no where around to beat it. Staff always friendly . Only one complained on this visit felt rushed towards the end of the meal could be people waiting for tables . We only had the desert menu 2 minutes and at least 3 different members of staff asked for are order. Everyone seems to work hard well done . One final note I don't think the owner should shout at a meme ber of his staff when the restaurant is full very embarrassing for the poor man. Moving the napkins around when setting up a table is not the worst crime in the world

Easy to book a table online. The staff are very tentative and friendly.The food was absolutely divine,good choice on the menu.My son has a nut allergy and the staff knew exactly what he could and couldn't have. Overall a lovely experience and would definitely recommend.my favourite starter in the picture is goat's cheese parcel with caremolised beetroot and pine kernels to die for.

We had a works lunch at the restaurant, a party of 19 ! Food and service were excellent, I had the Beef Carpaccio with Rocket which was beautiful followed by Venison which was cooked to perfection followed by Tiramisu. Can’t fault the food or the service.

I have been going to Franco's occasionally for years, it is an odd location, surrounded by office blocks and inside the lay out lack a cosy feel. However the food is good. I went with some friends recently and had the goats cheese parcel, with poached pear salad, it was lovely. Reliably good food, the restaurant also has a take way section, which does great boxed salads.

My family and I have been coming here for years ( we followed them when they moved from the light) . This place is our Christmas Eve tradition. We literally wouldn't go anywhere else. The family are amazing and always sit down for a chat. A really friendly place. The food is fantastic every single time without fail. Italian food at its best. My little boy loves going up to choose his ice cream after dinner. Wonderful.

Called for lunch on Sunday meeting friends on way back to Bristol so picked Francos because it was just off the A1. Doesn't look great from the outside but the food was excellent and house wine really good. All staff were very friendly and Franco came over after the meal for a chat. If you are in the area then this is the place to go. Freshly cooked authentic Italian food.

As always, a great time at Francos. Four fussy eaters were all happy with our meals - we had garlic mushrooms (creamy and fresh), warm goats cheese in pastry (dad ate every single scrap), bruschetta (very generous portion), a house salad (nice and cheap), rack of lamb (aunt said best lamb she's had for ages), verdure pizza (my mum's fave), fungi pizza (always great) and carbonara (so creamy and good, massive portion, a little salty for me) And creme brulee (amazing), tiramisu (even I liked it and I don't like tiramisu!) And ice cream for dessert and even though my aunt said it was too big of a portion she ate it all! Our main waiter was hilarious, the woman who took the dessert order was lovely and funny too. The owner was as usual around telling jokes, chatting, bossing the waiters around and teasing me about how slow I eat and making it feel exactly like an Italian restaurant should. Plus the service was fast despite it being utterly rammed. The prices reflect the quality and portion size.

Have visited Francos on a few occasions and the food never disappoints. Good quality, fresh, great selection and always happy to oblige if they can put something together that is not on menu. As good a quality as your 'San Carlo' and Ginos does not compare. The only downside is the surroundings. If you are impressed with glitz and glamour, this isn't then place for you. But a small sacrifice to pay if you enjoy excellent food. Suitable for all, young and old.

Never expected to find such an authentic Italian restaurant just near motorway..it turned out to be a nice surprise. the service is very friendly and food is just tasty!! I have to say this is the best Italian restaurant I have been to in UK or maybe even in Italy..seriously given all the price/portion/service/taste factors.

Once again I find myself endorsing all the best reviews that Franco's restaurant have been given and that's why it's still "NUMERO UNO" but not only for the truly magnificent authentic Italian dishes which are all made from the finest ingredients but also for having one of the finest teams of waiters & waitresses in the country, who all provide a service that deserves no less than a certificate of excellence!!!

I always enjoy visits here wether family, couples or friends.

Visitamos anoche por nuestro aniversario de boda. El personal es muy grosero y poco acogedor. Ambos teníamos champiñones para comenzar. Los míos estaban muy bien cocinados y la salsa espesa, mis maridos estaban duros con la salsa acuosa. Nuestros platos principales llegaron. Mi marido era Rissoto de pollo, que estaba muy seco y sin sabor, y solo tenía 4 trozos de pollo. Mi marido dijo que el rissoto de microondas de M&S; era de mejor sabor. El mío era un plato de pasta picante y picante que tampoco lo era, era suave y muy seco y sabía que se había hecho con puré de tomate y cebolla roja. Decepcionada no fue la palabra comida horrible. Toda la conducta del lugar era terrible. Personal grosero, pisos sucios, mesas sucias rayadas que teníamos que comer. ¡Mi esposo dijo que se sentía como si estuviera comiendo en una vieja cantina del Trabajo! ¡Simplemente desagradable! No volveremos a visitarlo.

Si no has conocido a Franco, debes detenerte. Franco es el dueño, pero solo el jefe cuando su esposa no está allí, sus palabras. Todo el personal de Franco fue maravilloso. Esto es tan auténtico italiano como obtiene. Ocupado, ocupado, ocupado pero siempre hay espacio para uno más. La comida era maravillosa, el consejo sobre la selección de vinos era perfecto. Y no se sorprenda cuando Franco se siente con usted para charlar, y le dé un abrazo y un beso de despedida. Muy contentos de estar lo suficientemente cerca para visitar este maravilloso restaurante.
