Excellent pizzeria in the center of Exeter. Italian pizza chef, excellent pizzas, not too British but still quite Italian. The ingredients (tomato, mozzarella, anchovies, olives) and the dough are excellent. Great for a break after visiting the beautiful cathedral.

I ordered two pizzas tonight and it was the first time in my life that I saw pizza without any tomato sauce base. Completely dry and weird because the lack of the tomato sauce and also very cold. Not eatable at all. I have tried to call many times and they didn't picked it. Deliveroo offered me a refund of £7, but both pizza together cost over £27. Additionally, the foccatia is exactly the same dough than the pizza? Are you sure you selling foccatia and not plain pizza? And the 'wild garlic dip' is absolutely awful, very bitter leaves badly mixed with olive oil. Really disappointed as I already had very good pizzas in person in this restaurant. Did you don't mind of ruining your reputation with this poor quality of pizza delivery? I'll never again eat from this place and deleted my deliveroo account.

A very nice and comfortable place, with friendly staff, and a very good gluten-free pizza.

Pizza was nice. We ordered a beer which on the menu was 330mls. They served us and charged for a pint which was not on the menu which was a bit cheeky as we didnt ask for it. Sneaky upsale tactics like this puts me off returning as its just dishonest and makes me think what other things they might be doing with the food etc that i am not aware of.

Great pizza, avoid the no label cider though.

Popped back to this restaurant for nostalgic reasons. Staff were lovely - the pizzas are great but I think the menu is less varied since we went last time. I would come back if we are passing again.

The pizza was amazing.. first time I've ever been here. However the waitress needed people skills, her attitude was unpleasant and she wasn't friendly at all. No tip left for her, just the obvious SMILE, BE POLITE OR DON'T WORK IN HOSPITALITY...

The pizza was one of the best I ever ate. Unfortunately the service was a bit slow, we were done eating for almost 20 minutes and wanted to order a tiramisu. Luckily the waitress came some minutes later and we were able to order. All in all it was very delicious and I would recommend it to everyone 🫶🏻

What a great place to go for lunch! We didn't book ahead and the place was busy but the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Super friendly, relaxed atmosphere, service with a smile and nothing too much trouble. We had the No3 & No5 pizzas which arrived to our table in good time and were cooked to perfection! The venue was clean and staff were attentive. If you are in Exeter and looking for somewhere to go for food, we highly recommend Franco Manca!

Such good food and our waitress Anna was lovely!

Both the food and the service was lush, we had Anna serving us and despite it being so busy she was so friendly and the food arrived quickly, it was great.

We ordered a vegan pizza, which wasn’t marked. After we called to ask how we could recognise the vegan pizza, they told us that only half of the cheese on our vegan pizza - which we were ultimately unable to discern - was in fact vegan. The manager was extremely rude on the phone and refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. Absolutely shameful. The pizza, by the way, is terrible. Far better options in Exeter!

WOW...Simply the best 2 pizzas we have EVER had....Spicy pepperoni. and Roasted cured ham ricotta, mushroom pizza and a side of pesto garlic dip. The dough of the pizza was super tasty, cooked to perfection! Served by a friendly, proffesional staff. What a team. Thanks to Chef,Alishia, Jake and Ailsa. Much Respect to you all. THANK YOU.

Had a lovely time with my parents and brother - the food was delicious. The starters were first and then enough time until the pizzas came out. The dips are big so plenty so to share between 4! Despite being short staffed today two ladies made us feel welcome and managed to run the all restaurant with the smile on their face and the service was impeccable. I keep ordering from here hoping that the pizza will be better the next time, unfortunately not. I’ve ordered about 6 pizzas now over the time and each time the dough is under proved, so dense and not prepared correctly, the cheese is always hard and cold because staff take ages to get it from the oven to the plate as they stand around talking instead of serving.. the topping every time taste stale, particularly this new chicken one I tried today. I’m just not impressed by this restaurant in Exeter , especially when last week I had Franko Manca in London and it was amazing! I think the staff need more training and enthusiasm here in Exeter, it’s not good quality pizza.

Food is good, sometimes pizzas get cold waiting for service. I enjoy the salad and homemade lemonade. Useful that you don't have to book and they serve all day

The meal was delicious, service was unbelievable. I think our waiter was called Jake and he did an unbelievable job! Made my friends birthday feel very special and happily talked through the menu and ordering process to us. What a sexy man as well, if I was single I’d be after him!

Ordered a delivery from Franco Manca Exeter. Arrived with all the topping fallen off. I phoned the restaurant, and the person who answered told me there was 'nothing they could do'. I did suggest sending out another pizza which apparently is impossible. They blamed the delivery company. Now, if it were me, and I were using a delivery company to sell my food (and receive the money for that food) I would take some actual responsibility for using that service, and if things aren't right I would make them right. But I guess big businesses like this have no standards. Will not order from them again.

Everytime I order from them they make the most horrific pizza ever. 15 pounds for this rubbish. Look at the sauce spread, what a joke 3rd and last time I order from them

Really good food, really nice service. The man jake was very good at his job. My severely autistic friend is usually very picky with his food but thoroughly enjoyed all that this place had to offer.

Never been to Exeter before went with my friend (we from wales) so we wanted to do something different so after shopping all morning we wanted to get something and couldn’t pick walked past franco manca and saw outside a sign with a lunchtime deal pizza and drink for £10 so thought why not thought it would be a light lunch before the drive home but we was wrong our server Sagar was fantastic explaining what pizza was on the offer we had 4 to choose from then a drink and was a option of £2.50 more for a alcoholic beverage he provided great service the pizza was large for a pizza and a drink for £10 i was shocked and pleased was really nice thanks to Sagar again for making it such a pleasant experience

Me and my family visited for the first time at the weekend. Very impressed! The restaurant was lovely and clean with a cool vibe and the service was quick, professional and very friendly. I would reccomend number 3, the Halloumi Pizza. Delicious! Will definitely go again.

I've come to this Franco a couple of times and have never had a bad experience. Service is amazing, the food is amazing, the ice cream is amazing. It was really busy last night and I saw that there was only one person in the kitchen making the pizzas, she absolutely smashed them out. We were notified that we might be waiting a little bit longer than normal because of how busy it was which was completely fine. Any reasonable person would have seen that they were understaffed and respected that they were doing their best to get food out in a timely manner. The girls serving were an absolute dream, they were really apologetic about the waiting time which I could completely understand. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a pizza place in Exeter.

The pizzas at Franco Manca are really good. Two of our party had the gluten free pizzas and they both really enjoyed them. I would also like to give a special thank you to our server (called Ti) who went above and beyond to make our meal here enjoyable. A great experience and would definitely recommend you give Franco Manca in Exeter a try 🥰

Waitress really knew the menu well, quick attentive service but relaxed. Quality food ingredients, we added some toppings from the special board. Manager chatted with us as we left, not hiding in the back like so many chains....

Came in with my little one who adores Franco Manca and it did not disappoint. Service was swift and friendly, drinks were on the table within minutes and we had a menu question which the server was able to answer knowledgeably. The food arrived quickly, really hot and cooked perfectly, the extra cured ham that I ordered was generous and made for a delicious pizza. We don’t normally get desserts when we come as the pizzas fill us up, but we did on this occasion and the cheesecake was “the best ever” according to my little one!

Exeter‘s nicest Pizza restaurant, especially when considering value for money - the pizzas and starters are always great - the interior of the restaurant is nice, although it can get a bit noisy - staff are often struggling to keep up with demand, so it may take some time for orders to be taken and food to be served

The food came out extremely quickly and was absolutely delicious. The service from Ellie was excellent as she was understanding and very kind. We even got given complimentary limoncello at the end which was very thoughtful!

Terrible, this was a Deliveroo order, 0.1 miles away and still late and cold, only leaving a 1 STAR review all because Deliveroo would not do anything about food that was not enjoyable and completely cold and late. Do not use either company if you want nice pizza

Ailsa served us this evening and was so unbelievably friendly! The food and atmosphere were both incredible, made even better by such lovely staff.

What can I say apart from how fantastic Lucy is! The food was great as always but the service was incredible. Lucy made a real effort with us and made our date night extremely special. Lucy was polite, happy and unique, always engaging with us and making our eveing feel really special! Lucy is an absoloute asset to Franco Manca. I have eaten in many many places ranging from your normal cafe to boutique restaurants and Michelin Starred establishements and I just wish there were more Lucy's at all of those places! Please don't change. Thank you Lucy! :)

The service was poor. First there was a misunderstanding with my order and then I clearly asked for my mint tea with pizza. My tea arrived first and not long after I got my pizza I was asked to pay the bill whilst eating and when asked for more hot water the Manager, Lucy said "I will get you some but I'll give you 5 more minutes!" The time was 2130 and there was a couple that only left 5 mins before me and weren't rushed. When I mentioned i dont appreciate being rushed by staff upon leaving, - Lucy and her colleague said "we did WARN YOU and you were 11 minutes over and we will get in trouble with our boss!" They made me feel guilty. Firstly, they never "Warned me!" They said if it was OK if they cleaned the tables. Secondly, that's quite disrespectful to a customer by blaming me. I've always been a loyal customer of Franco Manca. It was 21:30 when I had paid the bill including the small service charge, keep in mind they got my order wrong due to confusion and could have allowed extra time. I felt unwelcome . When Flavia, and Abi, even Mihaela etc was around, I felt welcomed. I won't be returning there again. I'll mention to Iain the Head because this is unacceptable the way I was treated, esp given I have spent a lot on Franco Manca over the past 5 or so years. I hope staff will reflect back on this!!
