Absolutely fantastic food and service. Taken off one star because you feel like you are sat in the pizza oven! Please sort out the heat situation as it makes for a very unpleasant experience. Didn’t want dessert or coffee after my dinner because I couldn’t wait for some cool air!!

just came back from Franco Manca (Didsbury branch) and can i just say: i was really impressed! from the lively atmosphere, to the outstanding service and to the really tasty and light pizza dough/flavours!! as an italian it definitely hit home with the nostalgic flavours. even the coffee and ice cream tasted really authentic! we got the number 2,3,5 and 10 pizzas (halal friendly options) and we really enjoyed them. we ate so quick because it was so good, that we barely managed to take any pictures before we had to leave. they were really accomodating and the wait times weren't bad at all considering that the place was packed compliments to the chef, and warm regards to michele for making our visit even more pleasant. will be back again! grazie mille michele ✌️

I had plenty of pizza around the UK these past 8 years - without avail. It was either that the dough was too heavy, or the ingredients weren't fresh enough However, Franco Manca really changed that: Their pizza dough is light and fresh, the mozzarella, alici and vegetables were all high quality and authentic, the coffee and gelato were delicious! As someone who lived in italy - this is the type of flavours you're looking for in pizza! Really positively surprised. Atmosphere and service were impeccable too I will definitely be back again! Special thanks to Michele for making our visit amazing! A presto bello!

The pizza was excellent and service was perfect. Pizza’s arrived at our table in 10-15 minutes. Our waiter Tom was fantastic with getting us what we wanted and recommending us great choices from the menu. The manager was also brilliant! Would give the experience a 11/10!

Goodness gracious me! The service was impeccable and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Clearly the staff know what they’re doing. The two severs were phenomenal and I really couldn’t ask for any more!

The restaurant was bright and clean, and the staff were very friendly. I ordered No. 1, No. 7, and No. 8 of the pizzas. The pizza dough was one of the best I've had in the UK. The toppings were normal, but the chewiness and crunchiness of the dough covered everything and improved the quality of the pizza. I ordered garlic dip together, but the scent of herbs was so strong in the dip that I didn't feel the original taste of garlic. If you look at just pizza itself, it's one of the best restaurant that you can eat the pizza in England. I highly recommend it as one of the top restaurants in the UK.

First time visiting today and we can’t wait to go back. A good menu, also a specials board that we were made aware of, lots of choice! The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and was spacious. Service was fantastic, we were greeted on arrival by Connie who looked after us from walking through the door to us leaving. She was really attentive, friendly and super helpful. Good menu for dietary requirements too. We were given some QR voucher codes for a Jan offer. Looking forward to going back again soon, the pizzas were amazing! Sadly too full to go for afters, gutted as the home made tiramisu on the specials board sounded amazing! Thanks again Connie for a lovely visit! See you again soon!

Exceptional pizza. We had the Spicy Salami and Franco's Favourite. Spicy Salami would have put this place on the map but Franco's Favourite is an absolute experience beyond description. Very curious to try the whole menu. Will be back.

Tried this place for the first time tonight. Ordered a Pizza from the specials menu, plus added some extra toppings. It was exquisite. Best pizza I've had in Manchester hands down. Fresh and tasty. Generous toppings and size, evenly spread around the whole pizza, not just the centre like other restaurants ( I've eaten at 10 or more Italian Restaurants in Manchester City Centre in the last 6 months). The Manager was very accommodating and hospitable. Highly recommend this place.

Came in and had the 4 courses for £25 with my partner - all were delicious and we left having had a lovely evening sat in the big windows Staff so lovely and attentive! Can't fault the service at all - big thanks to Courtney and everyone at the didsbury site, I will be dreaming of that delicious pillow-y tiramisu until I come again!!

Absolutely amazing! I recently dined at Franco Manca and had an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and a warm atmosphere. The decor is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions. Now, let's talk about the pizza – it was simply divine! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully chewy on the inside. I tried the Margherita and the Pesto, Stilton, Potato Special, and both were bursting with flavor. The fresh, high-quality organic ingredients made all the difference. The mozzarella was creamy, the tomato sauce had just the right amount of tang, and the toppings were generous and well-balanced. The service was top-notch as well. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure we had a great dining experience. Our waiter made excellent recommendations and was always available to answer any questions. Overall, Franco Manca exceeded my expectations in every way. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings. If you're a pizza lover, this place should be at the top of your list!

It's decent, worth a look for a pizza

The most delicious pizza I’ve had! The specials on the board are great - I highly recommend trying them. We also got a standard mozzarella and that was great too. Only downside is that a service charge is added by default and it feels awkward to remove it, this seems to be the norm at most places now and is very uncomfortable (it was only 2 of us, in and out very quickly at lunch time, didn’t ask/request anything extra). Nonetheless, we will be back.

Fantastic owner or manager, very welcoming—he’s Italian himself. Kids get free pizzas as a rule, and the dough is very tasty. My husband wished for a bit better selection of beers, but we’re definitely coming back.

Great pizza, lovely tiramisu, tasty lemonade. My daughter loves it I wanted to add to this review, tonight was a little different, it’s always had good pizza but tonight the atmospheres was much nicer, the staff seemed relaxed, and happy. It was really nice to be served by Connie. Staff seem to change a lot in the restaurant. Connie was lovely. Very professional and made us feel very welcome. The place needs consistency, a familiar and friendly staff member that customers get to know., we hope Connie stays.

Very good pizzas, excellent dough, and children eat for free! Service was a bit slow but friendly, and one of the three pizzas arrived cold. This would have been understandable if the restaurant had been packed, but it was only about half-full. There was a constant stream of Uber Eats drivers coming in, which is fine, but it should not compromise the experience of sit-down patrons. We also occasionally felt a less-than-pleasant odour, probably due to unfortunate table location. The restaurant adds an (optional) 10% service charge by default, but this was not stated to us, so we ended up giving a double tip. To end on a high note, there is an open kitchen, which was very amusing to my 4-year old, and the chef was quite friendly.

Connie was a fantastic waitress. She made us feel at home. As for the food, its more than brilliant. We were a big group for a birthday party, connie and the team made us feel at home with wonderful service and delicious pizza. The dough is sublime. 100% recommend. Will be back again soon. Visited franco manca didsbury yesterday , 3rd time visiting , we had the new number 3 with potatoes and stilton , great combination! Quite filling and the vegan special from the specials board , great food. Amazing service by connie <3 who is very welcoming and always help us with the menu and wine suggesgions.overall great experience again. Atmosphere has always been amazing in our visit

Ordered to collect 2 pizzas and 2 deserts. All top notch. Cool vibe while waiting. Was offered a lemonade on the house because the kitchen was running a few minutes behind. I could see the 2 chefs going as fast as they could slinging dough into the rotating oven. Would strongly recommend, just don't be in a rush when ordering at a peak time.

Went in on Sunday late afternoon for a quick bite, although quite busy at the time, the manager came to greet me at the door in no time. I had a margherita with buffalo mozzarella that was deliscious: the dough was light and tasty, the mozzarella topping was super abundant! Service was friendly and quick: exactly what I needed as I was starving and needed to head off. Ordered their homemade lamonade which I found very tasty and refreshing. Staff very welcoming, attentive and accomodating.

Coldest pizza I've ever eaten, congratulations. However, the dough was good, and it had been cooked well... hours before i ate it presumably. Bit too much sauce. Shame, i bet it would have been nice if hot, or warm, or even room temperature.... but it was COLD.

Very good food, slightly overpriced. We had a group of 14 including 6 young kids. The waitress Courtney was very helpful and attentive and patient!

Nice pizzas, but slightly overpriced. Moreover, my advice to you guys is not to assume that every single brown individual that enter the restaurant is a delivery driver! After entering, not a single staff member greeted me. I was standing there at the reception when a waitress from a distance said to me “is gonna be ready in 5 minutes okay?” At first I didn’t understand. Then the pizza chef added “is going to take 2 minutes my friend” at that moment I realised they assumed I was a delivery driver. Embarrassed, I responded “I’m not here to pick up orders but I would like to make one”. Please do not do that again, it’s quite offensive.

We came in a little early before food, and the staff were still happy to serve us coffee before food, Courtney was very helpful and super 👌 would deffo come back 😋

Visiting Manchester for a few days and I really wanted a proper Italian Pizza. Lovely place and atmosphere. I had nice time here and had the best Pizza. I ordered Franco Manca on Uber eats and there was a mix up with the drivers so there was a bit of a wait, these guys however were so apologetic and gave me exceptional service and were absolutely lovely about it

We had a lovely time, the pizza was amazing, the crust was really crunchy and just as you'd want it. Courtney was an amazing waitress and we were surprised to learn she was new to the job. The Italian wine selection was pretty good, so try the Montepulciano. All in all I can really recommend this place! They also do student discounts:)

I ordered through Uber, so I can’t rate the atmosphere. However the dough was hard and chewy, not presented great. The ingredients were not added with great presentation (it wasn’t a delivery issue) it definitely’MANCA’ (misses) the Italian touch as per brand states. It’s quiet disappointing

ordered off just eat, every pizza was STONE COLD, one of them was completely stuck to the box, all three freezing cold. i live 2 miles away i dont think theres any excuse for it at 1pm on a monday.

Disappointed with the service me and friend received. We were waiting for a salad and two starters for more than 45' even though we were the only table in the restaurant. My salad had different ingredients from the dish description and my friend received wrong order as well. We had to ask for the rest of the ingredients of the dish as they were omitted!! Very bad impression overall, the waiter was really friendly but that didn't change the issue. Truly bad that the place looked so abandoned. That was probably my last visit to this chain restaurant!

Ordered the pizza bundle for lunch. Called with a request and Niamh helped me out. She was super friendly and lovely to speak to.

We ordered a garlic bread and 2 pizzas on UberEats. The order came and was inedible as the dough was so under done. As well as this, the toppings had just been chucked on and it was clear very little care had gone into the pizza, despite it taking a long time to arrive. The UberEats driver apologised for the delay and explained that he had had to wait at the restaurant for ages whilst they made the food, which is just not fair on him. We called up the restaurant and they sent us a new order but again it was so under done. I think they need to extend the cooking time as you could actually see raw dough, it wasn't just a soggy pizza! It is a shame as Franco Manca used to be good but the food has gone down hill.
