Very kind and helpful staff! They also have great vegetarian & even vegan options and prices are more than fair. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Brighton!

Very welcoming, great food and service

The pizza is great but £2.75 extra for a gluten free base is excessive. It is time that pizza places stop abusing with this. Specially in the case when they cook it in the same oven and the rest of the pizza, so there is no extra work involved.

Lovely food at reasonable prices. Staff are always nice. They're also pretty flexible to various dietary requirements too! This is also the place where I learned that buffalo mozzarella comes from actual buffalos???? I won't be forgetting that any time soon.

Was OK. Pizzas came to 3 of our party of 4 while the 4th remained mysteriously absent for some minutes. It turned up eventually, though it was cool, having been put to one side while ham and cheese were sliced/crumbled to adorn the top. The tomato topping was thinnish and watery with little flavour, and had the unfortunate additional disadvantage of preventing the dough in the central part of the pizza from cooking properly. So, a cool, soggy and pretty flavourless pizza. A meat special, but not in the way that I had hoped.

I went for dinner knowing I only had less than 1h to order and eat as I had somewhere to be. Who I believe was the restaurant manager was very accommodating, helped us order fast and kept an eye on the clock for us. Came to get the bill before we finished so we could leave fast! She was very kind and helpful! Will be back for sure to this branch.

What a great meal out with family at Franco Manca with Maria’s team. We jointly celebrated the arrival of Juno (2 weeks’ old) and a Diamond Wedding Anniversary! Super food and lovely wine. Awesome service. We’ll be back!

Went to this place for lunch in March this year (2024). It was really pretty awful. The waiters ignored us for the most of the time. The food was OK, but only OK. It's such basic food - pasta, pizza and salads - you'd think it would be easy to get right. Sadly not at this place. Drinks in children's drinking glasses not that attractive either. If I have a glass of wine, I'd like it in a wine glass. The only reason I didn't complain and refuse to pay the added service charge is because I didn't want to embarras the people I was this. Funnily enough, the woman at the table next to me complained so it wasn't just me. Avoid.

Me and the better half were wandering the Brighton Lanes, trying to agree on somewhere to lunch. It was reminiscent of searching through Netflix, although this time we didn’t land on some rubbish reality show, we hit the jackpot! We ventured into this restaurant and were immediately greeted by Mikael. He offered a first class service throughout our time there. Catered to our every need and offered polite conversation. The food was spectacular. You know it’s good when the other half encourages you to try it, but isn’t very generous with the portion on the fork. All cooked perfectly, and incredibly tasty. If you’re a fan of pizza and Italian, definitely pay this place a visit.

We come here often for pizza and it’s always absolutely delicious. (They do GF bases and vegan toppings too.) The staff are delightful, service is fast and tables/toilets always clean. Great children’s menu and staff are always happy to have our son peeking in through the kitchen glass to see his pizza being cooked. The staff were especially kind to us this lunchtime when we had an ice cream emergency - they made a 4-year old very happy. Thank you 💛.

The worst pizza shop in Brighton. Unbelievably slow service and the waitress is horrible and rude !!!! The man taking the order tried to be cool posh and funny but he was not ! The girl who brought in the food thought she was a diva bigger than the greatest Hollywood star! The rudest waitress I have ever seen !!!!! Just stay away from this pizza restaurant. !!!!!!!

Been a long time visitor of the Brighton restaurant and have tried various outlets across London. We have Maria to thank, for retaining our interest in coming back. She makes you feel like you are at home, whilst juggling a very busy and popular establishment. Keep it up Brighton.

I visited Franco Manca five times now the best 3 pizzas I had were from the chef with a short beard, and the other 2 from different chefs were burned a little bit. (I will be grateful if someone tells me his name) The staff are amazing and friendly, especially Maria and the Italian guy with glasses.

We came as a family for a birthday celebration. After a fairly long wait, two pizzas arrived but one was whisked away as it was another customer's order. We then waited for another 20 minutes...but no food!! However, the manager (the lovely Maria) enquired how long we had been waiting and IMMEDIATELY sorted the problem and requested that our order should be freshly prepared. We were ginen a free pizza and complimentary desserts. This was a great example by Maria,of someone who cared about the service the restaurant was providing and was proactive in sorting the issues. Thank you Maria!!

This pizza place is amazing all staff are inclusive welcoming and great, one of the best services I ever received especially with the place being busy and barely any waiting time. I highly recommend this pizza place with family and friends or just going by yourself.

Ate here for the first time recently. The waitress was relatively new, extremely friendly and efficient and made a point of asking another member of staff when she didn't know the answer to my question. Bruschetta tasty but small, garlic cheese bread was tasty as were the pizzas. Tiramisu wasn't up to much, was a bit watery and tasteless. Rustico do a much better one. More enjoyable atmosphere once the noisy irritating child left with its equally annoying parents. I'd definitely eat there again as the food was tasty and well priced. 😊

Came here for a date night, short wait times for a table even when busy. We were served by Ed who was a gem and provided excellent service. The pizzas were good, not the best dough however that did not distract from the flavours. Overall, good vibes and friendly staff, would definitely visit again :)

Please note, I've eaten pizza everywhere in Brighton. NOONE HAS BETTER DOUGH. simple margarita is my most often choice as this pizza is so delicious it doesn't even need toppings. Everytime I go there staff is absolutely lovely and genuinely happy (I'd be happy too if I had that pizza everyday) honestly this is a must go in Brighton, check it out, you won't go back.

not as good as wimbledon franco manca - the pizza was cold and staff wasn’t as attentive as it could’ve been. (i do reccommend the rosemary break starter tho it’s so good)

Not a massive vegan menu but the menu isn't extensive. They do offer vegan cheese as an upgrade. Marvellous service, able to get the servers' attention quickly. Wasn't sure about the atmosphere... easy to chat with friends but wasn't party time

I recently booked a large celebration at Franco Manca and it was a perfect evening. Maria, Ruby and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food was great and came out in good time for such a large group, and everyone enjoyed themselves. Recommended!

Food was decent however one of the servers were very rude to my friend and I, making snarky comments and dirty looks. Despite this, the food was enjoyable and it was pretty empty.

I love this place. It maybe a chain but the quality of the food is consistently good and the staff are great. I have knocked stars off for atmosphere as the toilets are damp and have unhygienic mould all over the walls which was off-putting I suspect it could be remedied with a dehumidifier.

Top notch pizza that's consistently good. I was served by Mikael today who was super friendly and smiley which made the whole experience really nice. Pizza came out so fast it was genuinely impressive.

Finally get to dine in after my third times here. Last two times, they told me they lacking of staff and ask me to get back later. There were plenty of empty seat inside. Excited to try it, and curious on how good it. Disappointed, is really normal. Ordered the margarita pizza and they gave me two basil only. I was like what????? Other ones is with anchovies. Thought is gonna be good since is the third times here and finally get to taste it. Price is considered cheap as I got the UNiDAYS discount for student. At last cheese got hardened so it is quite hard to eat. Lacking of flavour too but the chilli oil and pepper on the table enhance it.

They accepted us with open arms 30 mins before close on 1st January, and we had lovely pizzas within 15-20 mins of arriving. Totally recommend and the manager Maria is a legend!!

We walked sheepishly in here knowing we were near their closing time but, if what we received is them at their worst, then Maria and the rest of the staff put most businesses to shame. The food was excellent, and arrived promptly, and the specials really lived up to their name. Whenever I hear Ghost Town or a Message To You, Rudy I'll now think about Franco Manca and not a two-tone band. Serve their food at my funeral, please.

Came in last minute on New Year’s Day just before closing. These guys were the most hospitable and lovely on the worst day of the year to be working. They got us seated and served efficiently but never made us feel rushed. Maria was especially delightful and though franco manca is a chain she gave us such a nuanced experience it makes me want to eat there every day. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Really suggest going whether you’re a Brighton resident or visitor!

This may have been the best pizza any human has ever consumed. Couldn't be happier with the service, especially considering we entered the facility so close to close. The manager Maria was extremely helpful to our desires. If you haven't been to Franco Manca before, then what are you waiting for? Get on down and have a Stella night 🫡

Terrible experience. We love Franco Manca but this place is a disgrace to the brand. After being given a bottle of wine had then to wait another 15 minutes minutes before our food order was taken. Note that this was at 3pm, the place was not busy. Other people arrived and were served while we waited for ours. 45 minutes passes after ordering.. only to be served two pizzas with the main ingredient missing! They took those away and brought back the SAME pizzas 10 minutes later, cold, with the missing ingredients dolloped in the middle, as if we wouldn't notice! the waiters were half asleep and then rude when we complained. Manager offered a re-cook but we decided not to risk it. What an utter shambles!

Omg it was like being back in glorious Italy the good was amazing and I loved watching the pizza being made right next to us the staff were friendly and attentive it was a perfect meal to lovely day out I would highly recommend going to this little treasure which iv probably walked pass a billion times thank you team x

Been visiting this restaurant since it first opened. We have seen a lot of changes with this place. However the food quality has remained very good. On our last two visits we had the pleasure of being looked after by Maria. She genuinely knows how to run this place and because of stand out people like Maria, there is a reason for us to return. Never leave feeling hungry, great place

Having been let down miserably by the ‘just eat’ group, Maria of Franco Manca saved the day by replacing the cold food left behind by the delivery driver in full! In addition, showed me to a table where she provided me with a delicious coffee to make my wait more enjoyable. Maria thank you so much for your help this evening and of course to the chef who kindly remade the whole order! Your customer service skills has absolutely ensured my family and I will return very soon. ‘Just Eat’ - Shame on YOU!

Deeply disappointed! The service was slow at first & manageress flustered by mid day rush but certainly improved once seated. My pizza was really not very good! It was soggy despite being nicely brown on the edge & the topping quite scant! The dough was raw in the centre & the crust stuck to itself when cut! Not at all good. Happy Christmas treat, not really

I had a pizza delivered by Uber Eats to the Premier Inn which is just a couple of hundred yards away. It was disgusting undercooked slop.

Great traditional pizzas at a good price

Waited for 40 minutes for our 2 starters and 2 pizzas and mixed salad. Waiter did not place the order. Only the salad was served. If I had not asked what was happening, I probably would still sitting there.A polite apology from the manager. We were seated by a droughty window at the front. All in all= Very bad experience. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Very stingy on the pizza toppings. One of our pizzas did not have any tomato base. Shame as the base was delicious. Service was slow on a Sunday lunchtime. The venue has great potential if feedback is taken constructively.

It's ok... If you really want pizza!

Visited late lunchtime on a Tuesday. Service was great, food fantastic (as always). The reason for 4 stars for atmosphere, is due to the fact the restaurant was very quiet (only 2 other tables were occupied during our visit), hence not much atmosphere, but this suited us fine as we were able to talk without shouting. We have been to this s restaurant before and once again we had a great meal. We would definitely consider returning next time we are in Brighton and fancy a quick/easy meal.

I used to love this place. It always felt like an authentic, buzzing and friendly Italian experience and we have been coming for years. This month when we visited as a family, it was completely different. New ownership maybe? They seemed annoyed just to seat us. The restaurant wasn’t busy but they still forgot someone’s order, which then took a very long time to arrive which is awkward for everyone. The poor young waitress was apologetic but obviously not her fault, but it wasn’t even acknowledged by the manager.

Best pizza in town. The dough is so light that you can easily eat a second one! Fresh ingredients and you just feel it. They have their own lemonade and beer, worth a taste! Great service and quick!

Forty minutes to get a drink 75 minutes for a starter over 2 hours to get part of a small family’s meals Raw, burnt pizzas Absolutely rubbish manager and not great server No apologies Never again will I use a restaurant that cannot pause the delivery side of business to accommodate diners dining in. Tried 3 different pizza , the dough was to chewy not sure what went wrong there , focaccia taste like simple bread , otherwise tasteful quality ingredients on it , could be a big improvement if they change dough process and slightly more ingredients on pizza . Garlic sauce was nice 🤌🏻

I've been so many times because the food is great and the service is excellent. They are also flexible so you can have items or toppings removed as required. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed in the service. I’ve brought my 2 littles ones twice in2 weeks and service went from bad to worse. Everything so slow, even though not busy, staff unhelpful and looked bored. Food not as good as before. This used to our favourite pizza place but definitely won’t be back again. Pity as we did love it.

Mikael was super and attentive and went out of his way to make our experience better, despite the restaurant being extremely busy.

I ordered my food through the just eat app, the delivery guy marked my order as delivered, but I didn't received any of my food. When I contacted the restaurant they told me there is nothing they could do and that I had to sort it out through Just Eat,and possibly place a second order, so I did. In the second order the food was completely cold, the corners and bottom were burnt,the pizza wasn't even cut into pieces (but I marked on the order to do so).

My partner and I always come here, but this time the service really stood out! Mikael was incredibly friendly and speedy with our meal. We sat down, ate and paid within an hour which is perfect as we were in a rush! Had a lovely evening and excited to come back!

I came to Franco Manca with my partner on Monday night and whilst I was fairly certain she was going to break up with me, I think she changed her mind when we were greeted by Mikael and his big smile. He continued to provide us with an excellent dining experience and because of this, we are planning a beautiful wedding in the new year! Thank you mikael and the FM Brighton team!! Xx

My friend and I went over to Franco's for dinner and had a great time. Our server Mikael was super attentive and kept checking back in, he even went the extra mile and offered me an espresso.

Lovely restaurant in a prime location within walking distance of our hotel. My daughter and I visited early Sunday evening for dinner. Excellent service from a lovely lady ( who came from Nottingham?) sour dough pizza garlic and mozzarella with mixed salad and olives were lovelyx great price would highly recommend!
