Franco Manca Bath in Bath and North East Somerset

First time visiting this week, and will be returning! Our server Grace made sure we were happy at all times and the food was great. Thank you!

Came while it was a little slower in the afternoon. Had an absolutely amazing talk with the amazing hostess, Grace, (very charming and super knowledgeable) and the vibes were just for me. I’ve enjoyed their Nutella pizza in the past and it’s to die for guys, love the stuff. Will definitely be coming again.

Food and service was great. Grace was very kind and efficient and was very atttentive.

My order was totally inedible. I'm not exagerating, it was burning raw garlic througout the pizza, the garlic bread and the dip, ansoluley horrible, like chewing on pure garlic cloves. My breath is going to smell for the next 10 years. Awful. I can't express enough how bad it was.

Had todays special and it was special! Dough is nice but if you do not take spicy food, beware of the special spice! Overall best food!

We were craving pizza on our first day and stumbled upon Franco Manca, and we’re so glad we did! The restaurant wasn’t packed, making for a relaxed dining experience. The space is spacious and comfortable, with a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly, polite, and efficient, ensuring fast service. Watching the pizzas being made was a nice touch, and most importantly, our orders were absolutely delicious. We even discovered the concept of a “sweetzza” – a must-try! Highly recommend for anyone in the mood for fantastic pizza.

Where do I start! Firstly my dog was provided with a dog bowl, which he was very grateful for. I then had a lovely no logo lager which quenched my thirst. I ordered the number 7 which was incredible, couldn’t recommend more. Waiter was excellent. 5*

We ate there for our first night in Bath and it didn’t disappoint. Both of us were VERY pleased with our pizza. Great service. Gladly recommend.

I've eaten a lot of pizza, and this was the best pizza I have ever had. Specifically, the Traditional Halloumi D.O.P with cheese, organic tomato, mozzarella, roasted peppers cooked with garlic and capers, carmelized red onions & watercress pesto. The service and atmosphere were great - we just wouldn't recommend the garlic bread.

We didn't have a reservation but they fitted us in, chicken salad was divine as was pizza, great service.

Absolutely incredible sourdough pizza, was served by an exquisite gentlemen whose name is Zeb who was appropriately in incredible attire, upheld incredible service and satisfaction for the meal. 10/10 will come again.

I had a meal her the other night and both mine and my girlfriends pizzas were fantastic and perfectly cooked! Our server was named Agata and was lovely and extremely attentive! I cannot recommend this place enough both the food and service were excellent, and if anyone was ever in bath I would 100% recommend they visit :)

Great music, really good quality pizza. The kitchen being in view added massively to the experience. My expectations were quite low but my worries tapered away when our order was taken. My hunger faded away crazily. The service staff were swift like ninja

Ordered for a birthday treat, first time they delivered the wrong order, the second time it was stone cold when it arrived an hour later. Average pizza and one of the worst tiramisus I have eaten.

We shared two delicious pizzas with the most amazing service, super quick, with massive smiles from Kasia, Maria, Nikil and Zeb. They were all amazing as a team, friendly to us and each other, they recommended me a pizza that I have never had before and I was genuinely gobsmacked. I have been to other Franco Manca's before and this was by far the best quality, service, food and experience. Thank you, Franco Manca Bath.

Update 14/11/24 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still really great food here. We had booked but showed up early. Great service, great food and a great time. Thanks to all the staff. Used "The Fork" app, as well, to save a bit of money! Really good food today. Just walked in. On the off chance, and were seated and eating within about 20 minutes, which is great considering every pizza is made from scratch in front of you. Had a couple of really nice pizzas, potato on a pizza is a new one to me and it will be a favourite from now on. Service was excellent, helpful but not in your face. Really good no alcohol beer, as well. Highly recommended.

Pizza was ok, although I have had better. But the choice of drinks was appalling. The service ok. All in all, it is more of a fast food than a proper restaurant.

Had a lovely dinner at Franco Manca Bath this evening. Pizza was delicious, the staff were great - we were served by Alessandro who was so helpful and recommended me the number 7 which was just what I wanted. The restaurant was so cozy and the wine in tumblers reminded me of being back in Italy with my family - very authentic! We will be back!

Never in my life have I ever had a pizza I couldn’t even finish halfway. I mean…even bad pizza is supposed to be good, right? We ordered on the 31st of Oct at lunchtime and got 3 completely cold pies. I had a suspicion these were not made fresh at all. The dough was very chewy and toppings not that great either. Although I asked chili sauce for one of the pies, it got put in the garlic bread box where it spilled all over, making the garlic bread too spicy for others. Safe to say I will never order again from this place. Just stick to Bath pizza, they do a great job!

I was on holiday and visited this place because I was craving a good pizza being Italian. I went in and first of all I was amazed by the kindness of the pizzaiolo vincenzo who recommended me and made me feel at home. Fantastic pizza!

I had a fantastic time at Franco Manca Bath. The staff were attentive, and Nikhil, in particular, made sure everything ran smoothly. The Number 2 and 6 pizzas were real winners—flavors were spot on. I highly recommend giving it a try!

The pizza is amazing, the ingredients very fresh and the chocolate and salt icecream delicious. Nikhil looked after us with so much care and attention, definitely a must-eat in Bath.

Franco Manca, despite being a chain, still remains my favourite pizza spot in Bath. This could be a subjective or objective opinion depending on your standpoint. However, given their reviews, I might suggest it's an objective opinion. I won't comment on the service as this was absolutely fine and other reviews cover this . I will however comment on the important thing, the pizza. I have been to this branch of their chain a number of times over the past year. By far, I think they do the best pizza in Bath. Having tried other places like Dough, Italian Pizza Co, and Bath Pizza Co, I can say with some confidence that Franco Manca offers the best quality pizza for a reasonable price. When compared to more expensive places, like Dough for example, Franco Manca still manages to deliver really great-tasting pizza at a good price. This could be due to their keen focus on ethical farming for their flour, which goes into their dough that is so fluffy and full of flavour, or perhaps it's just a good recipe. For a chain, you wouldn't think it was going to be that good, but it certainly is. The cheese is creamy and tasty, the sauce is rich with tomato flavour and a hint of herbs, while still maintaining a nice, simple structure and flavour. The dough is a lovely, flavoursome base that's super fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. The little burnt bits on the top and bottom from their amazing wood-fired oven really complement the whole pizza. My personal favourite is the ham and mushroom pizza. Typically served on a white base at Franco Manca, but I opt for a tomato base. There's plenty of mushroom on the pizza with that nice flavour you'd expect. The ham itself is thinly sliced but still has a nice, not overpowering, salty hit. Everything comes together on the pizza for what is a really wholesome meal. The added dips are a must-have in my opinion, especially the Nduja. Overall, I'd say that Franco Manca represents some of Bath's best pizza without compromising on quality or flavour for the sake of being fancy. It's an extremely tasty pizza. In my opinion, it's exactly what pizza should be. Id highly recommend a Margherita and their homemade lemonade for any first timers.

We ordered two pizzas. When the server brought both pizzas over to our table we asked her politely if they could be cut into slices. Her response was (in an accusatory tone) ‘Did you ask for them to be sliced when ordering?’ Our response: ‘No, sorry.’ Her response: ‘Our pizzas aren’t sliced, they’re served the authentic Italian way.’ Our response: ‘Ok, can you slice them please?’ Waitress: *huge sigh* ‘Sure.’ She was then seen laughing and joking with other staff members, not really doing a lot of work. She wasn’t particularly busy. This level of service was incredibly poor, which is such a shame, as the food was great. There was really no need for us to apologise, but she was trying to make us feel like an inconvenient, uncultured pair of diners. We felt annoyed to have to pay at the end and haven’t returned since. A server with this attitude should really not be working in a customer facing role. Plenty of other people eat sliced pizzas at this establishment, there’s even photos of them on the reviews, so there’s no need for this kind of behaviour. The restaurant was also really noisy - something to consider if you’re noise sensitive. Maybe bring your own pizza wheel if you want to avoid confrontation?!

Compact yet all ads to the buzz of the atmosphere. Food superb, team Franco Manco attentive, genuinely kind and efficient. Can get busy so be prepared to wait ( a few minutes or so) for table.

Lovely setting and nicely spaced out tables, the service was great but food wasn't the best. Pizza was nice but the starter was inedible.

We really enjoy these pizzas everywhere around the UK. But at Bath the service is really poor. Our mains arrived with the starter and hence the pizzas were stone cold. They are just interested in getting grid of us as fast as possible. Please respect your customers!

Fabulous restaurant. Sourdough Pizza and salads constitute mains but there is a lovely choice of small bites and appetisers. Friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Inside and outdoor seating. Background jazz(?) music a little too loud but we were sat under a speaker.

The pizzas here are a little different to the norm but still very good. There are some smaller bites and salads as well as pizza but, personally, I would like the option of a pasta dish. The homemade lemon juice was lovely. Service is fine.
