Foyleside Mcdonalds in Derry

Place was messy and the floor slippery. Staff was really unfriendly throughout. We didn't expect for a McDonalds in the town center to close early, so we ordered at 6.30, nothing was mentioned of the time frame, we had to wait a bit for the order as it was busy. Then we were unexpectedly kicked out rudly at 7.08. We were with kids, so it was a rush then to eat up and leave quickly. Burger was ridiculous, bacon half raw, ingredients missing. Never experienced a McD like that.

The waterside McDonald’s, is quite poor service wise at the drive-through. But today (15 mins ago) I went with my kids. There was no hello. Just what is your order. Then I asked for happy meal with milkshake. Of course there was no milkshake. Then I asked for a Big Mac meal. Very sarcastically she shouted “it that large”. Then I asked for a Italian stack meal and emphasised it was the beef burger that I wanted and not the chicken burger, as every time I ask for a Italian stack meal they give me the chicken burger version , then I asked for a sharing box of mozzarella dippers. Then she came out with it , the big sigh. I could not believe it. Of course they didn’t have those either. Then I went to pick up the food and of course, they didn’t have the box for the happy meal. Happy meal that’s an oxymoron if I ever heard it. Much like the people who serve there. For balance, the guy who handed me the food was very nice and apologetic. So kudos to him. McDonald’s get you act together and get your staff customer service trained !!!!!!!!

I use Mcdonalds a lot especially for their coffee (Latte) but I have to say this has to be the worst coffee ever from a Mcdonalds to make matters even worse the staff are glum and unable or unwilling to be part of the friendly atmosphere that Mcdonalds loves to promote. I thought at first that I was in the wrong store I should have complained but I will vote with my feet so never again for this store.

most of the times I come in for food, it is before I go to work, the branch is always busy but I never had a problem with the food or service I got from here.

Asked what specials were available. They only mentioned the big tasty and didnt tell me about any of the several other specials. Probably because they had a load of cold burgers sitting there. Big it was but not at all tasty. It was cold and wet and so were the fries. The mcflurry was a joke LESS than half a portion of icecream with a handful of sprinkles thrown on top no whipping or mcflurry just bang on the lid and blame the missing half on sugar tax. Rude ignorant serving staff on the till coupled with mad crowded scramble for slow service makes for a less than pleasant experience.

the food is nice well don and very nice love the cold drinks they put loads ice in there been there number times be back to day for more yes love it gave it 100/out 100 score

Staff were really rude and really didn't want to be there, were awful !! Open 24 hours but to cars only..Worst one i have ever went to to date. Go go kfc..Or anywhere else!! Or just starve!! Avoid!! Will never be back!!

Our morning coffee stop nearly every day, reading some of the terrible reviews I wonder if its the same place we go to, yes it can get very busy but surely that is a good sign. Many of the staff have become friends that we feel very comfortable with that.

Myself and my family visited this McDonald’s. The place was completely mental and it was terribly ran. The place was completely filthy and the staff were disgusting. I have no idea how this place is still open as it is the dirtiest food place I have ever been in. I would rather eat of my bathroom floor.

We have got into the habit of visiting Foylesides Mc Donalds almost daily, good coffee at a cheap price. The staff here are exceptional always smiling and cheerful thanks for that.

there seemed to be some sort of activity happening in the foyleside mall yesterday and there was numerous characters walking around in large costumes, one very young girl, about 6/7 was clearly very frightened by this and was crying by herself, with no sign of her parents, a member of staff from mcdonalds approached her and calmed her down and asked where her parents were, i then continued to watch as the young lady took the girl to find her parents, re assuring the girl that it was going to be okay, your worker handled this situation amazingly, sadly i did not catch her name but she did have brown hair with a full fringe, this happened around half 12, i hope this worker gets the praise she desserves.

I'm not a regular McDonold's fan but always bring my grandchildren here , it's regular McDonold's food but the standout difference is the friendly staff, place is always clean.

The staff here are just brilliant very efficient friendly and cheerful and pleasant all the things that matter. We usually only come in for a cup of tea and an occasional treat, we always feel welcome here.

A nice McDonald's, true to the franchise. The place is kept clean and the staff are friendly. In a good location.

Most mornings you will find us here with a coffee and muffin, we are creatures of habit and have got to know most of the staff who are all very friendly it suits us very well to have a place we feel comfortable with.

Great place to meet up on a cold sunny day as you get the sunshine coming through the glass ceiling but not the cold. This is a regular meeting place for me most mornings (if and when I'm here) Great staff, friendly

Mostly good, usual McDonnalds food. There is an issue with milk for drinks. The do not seem to have normal milk containers and sometime you have to fill up from a pouring jug. Can get very busy do to its location. Mostly it is very clean and tables cleared quickly. Some table in remoter parts are not cleans as quick and you are often left cleaning it up to get a table. Usual problem in placed like this.

A morning coffee and muffin is the usual start to our Foyleside visit always smiling staff even to old grumpies like us.This café is kept in very good and clean condition all thanks to the attention of the staff

Was in here after my Londonderry trip finished for lunch. It's quite a small McDonald's and waiting in line can be quite claustrophobic. But I have to say the staff here are spot on and food is got out quite fast! I got my usual here and it was cooked to perfection. Same anywhere else and I would list this McDonald's as another one of my favourites!

Average McDonalds but it has a nice seating area out in the foyer in Foyleside good for people watching

Not being a huge Mc Donalds fan this one has become our regular coffee and muffin stop mainly due to the friendly helpful staff and convenient location

The staff in this Mc Donalds have become great friends, we seem to have a competition going as they try to second guess my order.Always a place where the staff make it the kind of place you feel at home in and that is rare these days.The young members of staff deserve credit for the way they react with customers, well done

Usually we go here in the morning for tea, because we are trying to loose weight we do not order food very often but on the rare occasion we do it is always fine.The staff have figured us out and it is not unknown for my tea to appear before I have even ordered it.All the staff are very pleasant and helpful, I hope to get back to ordering big macs soon if I can reach my target weight.

Love McDonald's but find the Foyleside one a bit hectic and not well organised when queuing to place an order. Staff not as friendly as most McD's

This place is terrible . I got a big tasty burger yesterday the taste wasn't great an it looked like it was laying for days. But wait here it is I got FOOD POISONING from this terrible place . I will never step foot in one of these restaurants again.

Handy if you don't want to visit some of the great restaurants around the shopping centre or the Food hall. Pretty much what you'd expect but the staff are friendly and efficient.

It's McDonalds, what more can one say? It's fast food at the end of the day. And it's something I don't mind, once in a blue moon. Although, despite being usually quite busy, the staff remain very focused, polite, and friendly. Food was served quickly, hot and filled my tummy.
