Didn't stay so can't comment on rooms. Food is superb - but not cheap.

Cannot comment on the rooms as we were guests at a wedding. The atmosphere, service, and quality of food and portions were absolutely spot on. It was a really great day

We booked a night away (dinner bed and breakfast) as a base for visiting Whalley. The booking was made using a buyagift voucher and we know hotels usually do these deals to attract guest due to the condition or improvements being made. So we were nicely surprised to find the hotel is very well looked after and even though you can see that it is being "done up" we couldn't fault our accommodation. The room was huge, clean and fresh. Yes the TV could be more modern and the cabinet handles replaced but it was a very nice room. We booked a meal in the Artisan restaurant which is part of the hotel and the atmosphere was so good that we scrapped our plans to head out after dinner and stayed until the closed. The meal was lovely and the service was excellent. The only gripe we had and to be fair it's clutching at straws but when walking through the section between the hotel and restaurant, there is a smell of stale beer. I am sure the management are aware of this though and will have it sorted soon. All in all, we had a very nice night away and will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and family.

Second time stayed at the hotel. Had a lovely experience with great quality/price balance. Highly recommend the restaurant. There are indoor swimming pool and sauna free to use during your stay.

I've been to Foxfields many times in the past and I cannot fault the service, the food, the location and the friendly staff! Been today for afternoon tea and spa access for my step daughter's 21st birthday. I cannot thank the staff at the Foxfields more if I tried!! They made this special occasion AMAZING!! The food was excellent! Service and staff were outstanding! A HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU TO LOUIE!! What a star!! He went above and beyond to make this celebration so wonderful!! Thank you to you all!!

The service was very friendly,helpful and professional and gotta say the breakfast was lovely and plenty full. My room was ok but, felt needed an update as defo had an 80's feel going on and room did not smell fresh as felt a bit musky. Mega parking outside and hotel easy to find - great location.

95 quid for a suite with a huge sitting room, big bed and separate bath and shower cubicle! Really nice breakfast to, absolute bargain!

Just has a 2 night stay with evening meal and breakfast. The food was excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious with a separate lounge area as well as a patio area. I loved the fact that their was a separate shower and bath. Would definitely stay here again

Came back today having spent 2 nights the hotel is lovely the rooms are looking very tired which is a shame wouldn't cost much to put right the staff absolutely were first class Christine in the morning breakfast nothing was too much trouble for her checking did you need anything 👏 the grounds and the views are beautiful Would I return YES

Lovely quiet setting, Rooms are a little dated, but we were upgraded free of charge to a suite. Living room with TV and a separate bedroom, with a huge bathroom with separate bath and shower cubicle. Only let down was the bed mattress which we found to be really hard. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Great base to visit nearby towns like Clitheroe, Skipton, Settle etc.

We really enjoyed the afternoon tea, we had a nice seat by the window, there was a lovely warm fire and the food served was good. However the music (which we thought was more suitable played at a pool foam party in Ibiza ) was not really the relaxed ambiance suitable for a chat over afternoon tea. They kindly boxed up some of the lovely cakes served and we took them home to have with a quiet cuppa.

Excellent, this was a great find and exactly what we needed. Great staff and facilities. Breakfast was good, and the food the previous night looked good, although we were dining elsewhere. Why the four star, just little bits that were tired, but it looks like the owner is investing a lot in refurbishment.

I had heard about the low pricing if you went between 4pm-6pm and it true, though the menu is limited to pizza's and pasta dishes, don't let that put you off I had one of the best pizza's I;ve ever had a seafood pizza with plenty of tuna, anchovies and prawns and all for only £4.75p!! this was roughly the time I went in to the restaurant. I've never been to this restaurant and I am going again for a Sunday lunch soon with two restaurants nearby(one a Michelin 2*) Foxfield have some competition but I 'd try this before the other two.

We went to enjoy a meal after having been given a £50 voucher for Foxfields. After spending £25 we were told that we couldn't get change or another voucher for the £25 credit left. We were quite shocked, £25 is a lot of money to waste! In the end the manager said he would give us £5 towards the money we had lost, again we were shocked at the £20 shortfall. This felt like the restaurant was only interested in money and not at all in us as customers. We ended up paying £25 in cash and went back another time to use the voucher. I would urge people not to buy vouchers for Foxfields and this attitude to customer service means I would not return to Foxfields or recommend it. In these challenging financial times, we should be spending our money with companies and organisations that see the value in customers, and not just see as £ signs.

We visited a lot last year, both for afternoon tea and for lunch - we even had a wedding breakfast her. The staff were very polite and helpful - couldn't fault the service at all. We've had the afternoon tea twice now, and actually found it was a bit to much for us at lunchtime - but excellent all the same - and lovely bubbly! The menu is a little selective but we found the portions quite large, but certainly tasty. Lovely area outside to sit on a sunny day.

Hard working polite staff ....food fantastic but £40 for the afternoon tea for two is ridiculous....the photo on the website I feel is very misleading....nowhere near you get that much.....a couple of sarnies each...a scone each....a mouthful of soup and a couple of other small things with jam butter......£20 for two may have been about right.....shame really as everything else was fantastic.

Stayed here one night in July 22. Was lovely, staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely large room and view of water feature. Food was the best we had tasted in a long time. We had a three course meal and it was delicious. Animal friendly and there was a wedding taking place the next day; which had no effect on our stay it was beautiful. Would highly recommend a stay here. Special mention to the staff who went above and beyond their duties to ensure a lovely night.

Two of us enjoyed a pleasant afternoon tea here, we were met by helpful staff and quickly served. The tea was a selection of freshly prepared and nicely presented sandwiches and wraps which included a small cup of hot soup and a hot sausage roll. A selection of cakes and scones with cream and jam completed the offerings. A choice of tea or coffee were the beverages. The hotel itself is a well maintained and modernised building in well tended grounds with ample parking.

Our son had bought us a ‘Red Letter Day’ voucher for afternoon tea for two and we selected Foxfields as it had good reviews and was about 45 mins drive away. An excellent choice! As sandwiches & cakes don’t really fit with my diet I rang to & asked if we could change it to ‘Tea for one’ and then a selection from the menu. The lady dealing with couldn’t have been more helpful and we made a reservation .We understood she was one of the owners.When we actually attended several days later the staff were very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. My wife’s ‘Afternoon tea’ was really nice according to her and plenty of it . My choice of the Cod Fish Cake on Thai Green curry sauce starter which was the best I’d ever had and the main of Sea Bass on wilted lettuce heart was absolutely fabulous with lots of additional flavours ( olives, olive crumbs, battered anchovies etc) Considering ours was not the biggest order of the day and a ‘bargain priced’ voucher deal the attitude of all the staff was excellent and a great advert for the restaurant not to mention the really good food .It will certainly bring me (and probably my friends) back there.

Booked a Groupon for the afternoon tea at fox fields. I’m vegan, husband eats anything. I was expecting the usual shop bought bland, and was pleasantly surprised 😀 the husbands selection looked lovely all baked on site, mine was far more superior, all baked on site delicious and I even got clotted’not’ cream with my scone 🙌🏽 staff was attentive and friendly. We will be booking another soon 🌱

We used the restaurant on a couple of occasions whilst we stayed at the hotel. Food was absolutely terrific. Really great selection on the menu and some things I had not tried before, but always wanted too - ie Salt Marsh Lamb. We even had a Sunday Roast here which was also really nice. The bar is another treat - James got me into Bath Tub Gin - I can't leave it alone now! We were the first to test their new Christmas cocktails. Loved them. The afternoon tea was also one of the best. Very pleasant restaurant area and great service. Beautiful clean loos. The deal included use of the small swimming pool and sauna. This was nothing outstanding but perfectly serviceable and a pleasant time was had by us all. We all said we would return.

Lovely afternoon tea. Friendly staff. Used a groupon. Had a swim first and sauna and steam room. Pool is small but fine. Afternoon tea was much better than anticipated for price paid. Included soup, pasty, 4 sandwich fingers, scone and 4 cakes. Definitely recommend.

I have enjoyed spa and afternoon tea sessions here on many occasions, with both friends and family. The restaurant has been completely refurbished for almost a year now and is a great place to eat. Both hotel and restaurant staff are very friendly, efficient and nothing is too much trouble. The afternoon tea is delightful....and filling! It's always freshly made, sandwiches fully loaded with filling and with a good selection of cakes and desserts. I think it is one of the best in the area and definitely my favourite.

First of all we received such a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They responded superbly to our dietary needs. The food was delicious and, that which we couldn't eat, was wrapped up for a late tea - not that we would be hungry. There was a great selection. Well done to all for making us feel so welcome.

Staff welcoming, extensive menu to choose from. This is our third visit & on each occasion there has been 5 people who enjoyed all different choices on these occasions. We will certainly return. David the manager is extremely pleasant & welcoming.

I took my friend for Aft Tea and we were amazed by the lovely ambience of the newly renovated restaurant and area. Beautifully served and the best chocolate brownie ever!!

The main meals have a good selection, well presented although currently under some renovation it did not spoil the event

Tuve el paté, pollo y pegajosa pizcas, habiendo elegido de budín un menú algunas semanas antes. Todos los cursos eran buenas y el servicio excelente. La cena fue seguida por un cantante de los años sesenta con música para bailar. Si fue la enorme comida que había consumido o no, me pareció que las mujeres 'loos un poco apretado para acceder. Sin embargo, volveremos al sitio de antes y yo pensamos que comer un poco menos!

meal was terrible was cold and tasteless the entertainer could have done better for adult party style rather the kids disco style of music was very let down with the whole experiance i would not like to recomend this venue to anyone was looking to book this for my wedding but it has put me off the idea of coming back

There are not enough stars to say how much I love the food here. For the main course of wedding breakfast we had Bowland Lamb which was incredibly juicy and tender and fell off the bone.

We only had a late snack but the next morning was one of the best breakfasts I have had at any hotel. Freshly cooked and hot plus size wise more than enough to set me up for the day

Menu has appetizers, Starters, Main and Dessert. Good choices of Fish, Poultry, Grill, Vegetarian, Pasta etc.. I had Olives, Mussels with hit bread roll and then Duck Salad. Glass of Merlot with Ice Water. All dishes were superb and hot. Mussels came with warm water...

Been down staying with ma partner while he works away can't beat the food here it's very hot plenty of choice and service is second 2 none a male staff member called matt took really good care of us definitely be back soon thanx guys for such a good lunch!!!

Superb hot and cold buffet breakfast as well as excellent dinner menu at good prices . Very comfortable dining room with plenty of room and also manyserving staff

Attended wedding evening reception with very few in attendance about 60 guests.Had run out of small glasses for ladies soft during and bar staff advised young waiter to serve in pint glass.No shorts glasses available,this is 10pm,not enough chairs in function room had to request one met with surely attitude by waitress from bar area.Food was cold with Luke warm chips,catering supervisor tall male serving barm cakes with bare hands piling up on serving platter,no ketchups,cold bacon and sausage barns.Just hope the happy couple had a better day.Not going to return here or recommend.

Having spent 3 days here with my wife as a birthday treat I can only say what a lovely time we had. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them .The room was large and spacious with en-suite facilities, a separate sitting room, and a balcony overlooking the gardens. the food was excellent ,,well presented ,and hot. Eric serves a very tasty breakfast .A visit to the leisure centre is a must .This hotel is on our list as on we must visit again after its current refurbishment

The food at the Foxfields restaurant was lovely and used locally sourced produce, like the Lancashire lamb, which was delicious.It is reasonably priced and well presented. The restaurant itself lacks ambience but is nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious, again using locally sourced produce, and there was a choice of continental or full English, including smoked haddock and kippers. The bacon and sausage were good quality and not the bargain basement stuff that some hotels serve.

This hotel has been recently taken over (around December I believe) so please be aware of this when looking at the many bad reviews prior to this date!!We decided to eat here for Valentine's Day after being EXTREMELY impressed with the menu - I would go so far as to say it is the best set menu I have ever seen for the price where I would have been happy being surprised with any dish they all sounded so good! When we arrived a new sign had been put up out front that day which looked wonderful, everywhere was very clean and all the staff attentive and friendly. We were shown to the bar area for pre drinks (which weren't badly priced for a hotel) and canapes. After placing our food order we were shown to our table which was very well presented (lovely chairs!) and not too near other tables giving us plenty of space. The food was just unreal especially considering the price, I had lobster and scallops to start, lamb rump with dauphinoise potato followed by sticky toffee pudding. I absolutely cannot fault the food or the service, they even held my main back to keep it warm as I had nipped to the ladies after my starter!Management were extremely visible, they did a full loop of the dining room to ensure everybody was happy with their food and evening which I thought was nice. The hotel is absolutely huge, I have passed loads of times without really noticing it as you can't really see it too well from the road. The grounds are also enormous and we saw some rabbits and chickens wandering about which was lovely! Some parts of the hotel do need improving cosmetically though it appears the new owners have already made plenty of headway with that and have lots in the pipeline.I highly recommend visiting, we will certainly be back!

I ordered a fish pie. It was well presented with accompanying vegetables, carrots and Brussels sprouts. More than enough. It tasted very nice.

This Hotel is looking tired and needs maintenance. No flexibility with regards to early dinner or breakfast. Wifi is bad. Bathroom dirty. I wont come back.

Everything I had was fantastic, the lunchtime specials were even good I feel I have been spoilt because I have been dinning at one of the best restaurants in Lancashire If not the north west

We attended a friends wedding on this occasion, overall the staff were great, even provided confetti for the outside photos, nothing was to much trouble, the recetion was lovely, food tasty, hot & plenty of it. The evening reception was good too & again a agreat buffet, the only negative was the DJ, there were no interaction with the guest & he spoke very few words.

Fantastic hotel, management `David ` is a legend! Staff tried everything to make our overnight stay wonderful, and it was. Pool and facilities awesome! Grounds amazing! Family room was very spacious and well maintained. Value for money,5 star rated! Breakfast and dinner both faultless! We can't wait to return.

It says the chips are twice cooked, only if the manufacturers of frozen chips cook them before they freeze them they are !!

Excellent food with varied menu - kids chose from adult menu or chef made whatever they wanted. Breakfast excellent, cooked to order. Furniture is a bit tired, could do with updating
