Jo and Andy are a fabulous landlady and landlord. The food and service is great and nothing is too much trouble for them! Brilliant pub!

Best local. Always a good meal. Salad. Scampi. Pizza. Roasts. Everything I've eaten has been top notch. Always our first choice.

Food brilliant never disappointed. Landlord, landlady are great and welcoming. The facilities are brilliant, they have playground and the bouncy castle for children also when weather is good. Child friendly

Went to the fox & goose today for lunch to celebrate my girlfriend’s mums birthday. The food was excellent, really good quality & great value for money. The atmosphere was really friendly. I had the beef burger which was amazing.

Been a long time since I've been there as I used to work in Lancaster and was my regular pub of choice for a meal at lunchtime. The food was always absolutely perfect huge portions, great price and absolutely excellent. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough it's fantastic. I miss being there as I now work and live a long way away if I ever come to Lancaster again I will definitely be there again. Was 2015 when I was last there so on Trip Advisor did ask when my last visit was and it wouldn't let me choose that as an option just wanted to leave a review as I think this is one of the best pubs in the whole of the North West without doubt.

Wanted a single pint and found a vacant, unreserved table which was suitably socially distanced from other people. Despite this we were refused service - despite the fact that another couple were drinking at a nearby table and had not reserved their table. I contacted the Boots and Shoe previously who had assured me that they would find us a table without issue and we would be welcome to come down immediately. Very inferior service by the Fox and Goose - and I will not be attending again. One rule for one !!!

Called in after lockdown to have just one pint with my friend. Found a vacant unreserved table. Sat next to another friend who had also called in an hour earlier and was on his second pint. We had the pick of the Boot and Shoe but thought the Fox and Goose looked very pleasant as we drove past. Despite finding an unoccupied table and only wanting one pint we were refused service because we hadn’t booked and they were too busy. Meanwhile they were serving others including our friend who also hadn’t booked. One rule for one and one rule for others. Very cliquey. Don’t bother. We went to the Boot and Shoe where we were welcomed. Much superior public house.

Had a excellent Sunday lunch with my family today. Fresh food , service friendly and the meal also included a bonus of a free pudding. Warm and very clean. Will visit again soon . Thank you x

Lovely pub with a great roast beef for a great price. Come here regularly with my Mother and Grandma, a good cosy, family feel.

This is a local to me but not eaten here for a while. Well the food is top notch and extremely reasonable. Pizzas are new on the menu and they knock the socks off any dominos we've had! Highly recommended and we'll be eating there again soon. Many thanks Jo & Andy!

Absolutely love this pub. A great selection of beers, the food is proper traditional pub food and is great value. A searing area outside with a bouncy castle and play area for the kids to play. Can drink and eat in relative peace without having to worry about the kids. Love it!

Frozen, 'instant' cooked food. Grease bound. I'd have hoped for better from a roadside fast food trailer. No idea where the 5 star reviews have come from. The only positive thing I can say is that the food was hot. If only it was edible!

Called into the Fox and Goose early evening with my 80 year old aunt who was visiting to see if they served food. The staff were very friendly and with us both being vegetarians we had the cheese and onion pie (although there were other vegetarian options on the menu too including veggie burgers) and chips. The quality of the food was superb and we really enjoyed our visit...a very friendly and welcoming pub indeed...super place in a lovely location. 10 out of 10

We recently celebrated my mother in laws 93rd birthday. Easy access for people with walking aids. Food arrived quickly for all our party of 10. Everyone enjoyed theirs meals. The baguettes are to die for. Great service and good value for money.

I went into the pub to eat a nice meal with the people I live with that I am related to. The food was hot when it arrived, and we knew it would be because we all heard the ping of the cooking machine. There was a play park outside too, but it was winter.

This pub is a fabulous place to eat. Excellent food, great service and very reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone.

My friend and I recently went to The Fox and goose pub for our tea. What a treat! Lovely atmosphere,great service and really tasty food which was extremely well presented. There was plenty of choice on the menu and we were soon enjoying a delicious sharing platter with a glass of wine which was really nice. We are looking forward to a return visit!

Superb local serving great ales and fabulous food at prices that won’t break the bank. Always happy to put whatever sport you fancy on the tv if available. And there’s always entertainment on a Saturday evening. And bingo nights through the week .

We come for our dinner with work every Friday and the food is excellent. The pub is run by very friendly staff who always make everyone feel welcome. Try the quiche it’s brilliant.

The food and experience I have experienced when eating out at the fox and goose pub in Lancaster was to very high quality and the atmosphere of the pub it suitable for everyone.The staff at the fox and goose are extremely socialable. I covet this pub every Friday with wolf wood staff and the meal provided are outstanding and come at a fast rate.

Lancasters fox and goose has VERY yummy food, brilliant staff and management, well priced food and drinks! Definitely worth a visit. Come here every Friday for my dinner and it's the best part of the week 10/10 would recommend

Warn sincere welcome.Small but very adequate menu, traditional good old fashioned pub grub. Children welcome till 8pm.Childrens play area outside.

Popped in today with family. Great location,great for kids. Wonderful beer Garden. Friendly welcoming landlady,nothing is too much trouble. I have lived near this pub over 10 years but never been until now. I will be back again!

We received a friendly warm welcome and excellent service. The menu caters for a number of tastes and is very reasonably priced.

Just had Beef Stroganoff new to the menu. Excellent !! one of the best I've tasted in a long while. For a pub they do outstanding food. Well worth a visit. Beers not bad either !!!

Esto puede haber sido mi primera visita a aquí como parte de una llamada. Definitivamente puedo decir que la comida que estaba hecho era excelente y de muy buen nivel. El personal es amable y educado. Qué comilona fabulosa, así que incluso si quieres cenar aquí como una familia o un grupo de personas no te puedes equivocar.

This is a lovely pub offering fab food. Lots of meals are 2 for £10 which is amazing value (the all day breakfast is my favourite), and the portion sizes are good. The staff are friendly and there's a laid back atmosphere.

El tiempo era genial y Este pub tiene una zona fabulosa fuera en la parte delantera. Poco más se puede hacer por la zona lateral (al lado del parque de coche) para que sea mejor, pero estar, está todo bien y no es el típico bancos de madera.

Visitamos con una familia de 14, de edades entre 73 a 22 meses. La casera era encantados de organizar una mesa a sentarnos todos juntos.

Tenemos sobresaliente con todos los detalles aquí para asado los domingos. Amable, relajado, no lujoso, pero cómodo. Nos sentarse y jugar a las cartas y tener un buen tiempo. Hay televisores, una mesa de billar, su tipo estándar, pero el ambiente de pub habitación principal es espacioso, y nunca hay una terrible "din" ya que en muchos pubs. El menú tiene otros buenos valores semanales, que para los estudiantes y las familias sería un bombazo. Definitivamente es un lugar local y principalmente la atrae a las familias.

We moved to Lancaster inDecember 2016. The food is really good. I recommend the xxl burger. Licensee and staff are really friendly. We have been here regularly over the last three months. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Food great. Staff great. Drinks great.

Recently visited for lunch, and was very pleasantly surprised at the choice on offer, though especially the prices! The 2 for £10 offer is exceptional value - both excellent quality and generous portions. Will definitely visit again... Well done!

Been going here for 2 years now and I can not rate this pub high enough, the menu choice is great, and the 2 for £10 deal is excellent. We have just been for our tea and had the Deli board which is £20 with a bottle of wine, superb value, all the food served is fresh and well presented.Jo and Andy who run the Fox & Goose are fabulous, they are so friendly and welcoming, and always serve an excellent pint.So if you are in the area, give it a visit , you will not be disappointed.

The family turned up here in June with children and a film crew which was pre-arranged with the owner and a thirst, we were not disappointed, a buffet which had been provided for our quite large group was excellent fare both for the adults and children, the children had fun in the play area, swings, climbing frames etc, (so did I) the bar staff were most helpful and the day went well,I returned on Saturday 06/08 with a smaller group and the service was just as friendly, in my opinion and the opinion of my fellow travellers a nice place to spend some time.

As usual a warm and friendly greeting even though we haven't been for a while. The four of us shared Andys deli board which was absolutely amazing. We have never seen anything like it .It was so reasonably priced and we even received a free bottle of wine with it . We will certainly be going back very soon as it was so good . Excellent variety of cheeses, ham, chorizo, dish of mixed olives, pate and a mixed salad with every salad garnish you could hope for. There were even dishes of stuffed garlic tomatoes and pickles. Not to mention a superb variety of breads and crackers ! Well done fox and goose. It puts other places we have visited lately to shame xx

I only went in for a drink, but it seemed like a really nice pub, and the landlady was pleasant and friendly. I'll definitely go back.

We were looking for a little pub to enjoy a nice meal and that was exactly what we got. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owners and locals and immediately got chatting to them. It was very quick service and everyone was so polite. Our food was outstanding, by far one of the best all day breakfasts I've had! My Dad got the sharing platter and couldn't complain about any of it. If you're looking for amazing service and wonderful food I'd definitely recommend this pub. We will be sure to visit again.

Well kept ale, fantastic staff, this is a great pub. Lunchtime menu is great, and second to none for families in the summertime.

Started a night out here having grown up in the area, the pub has changed very little in the past 20 years..still friendly staff with half decent cheap food, the locals are welcoming and the beer is good....a safe haven in the town from those 'wacky students' that over run the rest of the town!

Pretty good pub food with children welcome till 8pm. The only issue is it is very dated inside, has the feel of a workmans pub (maybe not an issue depending on what you want) and that the last order for food is 7pm.

Has some great beers and at a very reasonable prices. The best bit are the 2 for 10 pound meals I highly recommend the lasagne

The Fox and Goose is a quaint but spacious establishment. Plenty of parking. Always a warm welcome on arrival. The Vegan breakfast is delicious complimented by the Vegan cider. Thanks Joanne and Andy , we will be back!

After a long flight home we immediately went straight to the fox and goose for tea as in previous visits we were not disappointed . Welcome great food great couldn't fault it good home cooking andservice excellently steak pie was really good

First this is pub food not a pub trying to be a restaurant. Good food. Spotless clean and great value for money. Great cheese board. Good all day breakfast over all every thing on the menu is good with huge portion Great atmosphere and a good pint

My friend and I went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and service we received. We had a prawn sandwich and a tuna baguette. Both were extremely fresh and tasted amazing. Both came with a delicious fresh salad and chips. The food was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked and more! We waited no more than 15 minutes and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch which we enjoyed with a glass of wine and a latte to follow.

When it's quiet, its very good for larger groups since there is a plenty of seating. Also, there are a couple of real ales on tap which is a bonus.

Had the fish and chips and scampi and chips. Service was excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Excellent service

Recently had lunch at Fox and Goose. The tuna sandwich was lovely, made with very fresh soft bread and served with crisp fresh salad. Chips included which were delicious. Would definitely eat there again and recommend to anyone.

After finishing work late after a hard day, I was starving, but I didn't feel much like cooking, and I fancied a change from the usual takeaways. I stopped off at the Fox and Goose on my way home and ordered the breakfast, and although it was busy at the time, I did not have to wait long. I was worried that there might not have been enough to sate me, however, the dish arrived promptly and was loaded! The food was delicious, the ale was delicious... the barmaid was delicious! ;) The price was superb for the quality and quantity I received, and it was very warm and welcoming. It has a great atmosphere with a family feel. Definitely going back for more! :)

Was recommended the Fox and Goose by a friend. Had tea out with my husband (had the Fox and Goose special xxxl burger, wow!) and have to say the atmosphere, food and drink was excellent. Did not have to wait long for the food and the staff, Joanne and Andy could not do enough. Would certainly recommend to anyone a visit and give the menu a try. We will be going back shortly and will be trying out the Deli boards they look amazing.

Visited the Fox and Goose last week with my wife and found the staff very welcoming.The food was the best we have tasted in a pub for along time and the Beer was excellent. (Next time we will nominate a driver)WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE PASSING OR IN THE AREA TO TRY THIS PUB OUT.

Have visited the fox and goose a couple of times now and the food is fantastic. Best pub food around by miles. Extensive menu to choose from which combined with the great friendly atmosphere makes this pub a great visit. Highly recommend the food here. Will be back again!

After a very warm welcome from the landlady we had great food . Although I only had a prawn sandwich which was out of this world so full of prawns and the salad was so fresh with so much on it and chips it was very filling .the curry was excellent my husband said. The hot pot and lasagne were very good to. Can't wait to go back and try the breakfast and the Sunday dinner. Lovely atmosphere and the garden area is lovely ideal if you have children excellent value for money .

this really is one of the nicest friendliest pubs around has great garden and play area for kids. brilliant welcoming atmosphere and the food is brill fresh home cooked food.andy does the best salads around and extremely reasonable priced. the Deli board is a MUST

Went for Sunday lunch with my wife, daughter and grandchildren only one other couple in the bar. Food was average and was okay until my daughter found her lamb shank stone cold in the middle, obviously not microwaved properly.The manager handled the complaint badly, we would not recommend a visit.

We got the deli board which had a bit of everything on it which included prosecco, all for £20! It was fab. Everything fresh and there was loads on it! Lovely atmosphere and staff and landlord/landlady brilliant!!
