Fortune Inn in Lewisham

So I sampled a Singapore noodles with a crispy chilli beef dish and they were both very good. The owners work at the establishment and they are very friendly and although they signage on the outside is slightly dated the interior is immaculately clean and very nicely presented. Prices are reasonable for London and I definitely recommend you give them a go if you like Chinese food.

I regularly order take away from Fortune Inn. I walk past 3 Chinese Takeaways on the way because they are the best and I’ve yet to be disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. It’s always piping hot when I collect. I’ll keep coming back for my fix. The staff are always so friendly too!

Been visiting for about 10 years now, and I can always count on them to deliver quick and consistent quality food. A small restaurant, but the service never lacks. My favourite Chinese spot in London!

Good service. Very clean place. Food came fast; it was well cooked and very tasty. Told the lady that my daughter has an allergy to prawns, so no prawn crackers....she offered springrolls instead(6) Will visit again and again.

icl to you i never review places but this was great. i only got two small things as was on my way home from work but it was great. filling, fresh, prawn toast was rlly good. service was good and the lady at the front was kind

Food was terrible. Curry was like water, chicken balls greasy with no flavour, rice was brown. Never again

Really fresh tasty Chinese take away. The bbq sauce is really good quality and portion sizes. Basing this on order of ribs, lemon chicken, satay, chips, fried rice & extra bbq sauce (delicious). One of better ones I’ve tried in area. Food is fresh, service is friendly. Does discounts for collection. Cash only. Has cute tables to sit in. The plants around the shop look really happy and lush which I think is a good sign!

This place is great, food is tasty and portions and large for the prices. And the ower is a very pleasent lady. Its nice to have a reliable chinese resturants you can go to for takeway. I hope it keeps going. 4.5 stars.

I travel an hour on the train from Victoria just to get to this place so often it genuinely crossed my mind to move closer! Gorgeous!

This is my new regular Chinese place. The lady serving me was lovely. The food was fresh and the portions so much better than the other place I used to order from. The chicken fried rice was great and sweet and sour chicken had a good balance of sauce, chicken and veg. No complaints (other than they don't take card payments).

Been ordering from this shop for 10 years plus, but yesterday the food just didn’t taste right, the seaweed was like eating hard rocks it was tough, the two king prawn dishes with noodles and rice didn’t taste fresh and nice at all. The sesame prawn toast was ok and so was chicken balls and egg fried rice which I don’t think you can get wrong. Anyway it’s sad to say that I don’t think you will be getting my money anymore. Thanks anyway!

Small eating area. Last minute place to eat by us. We were made to feel welcome and they were hospitable with their washroom facilities downstairs which didn't have baby changing facilities.

The food is always good every time, I drive past at least 6 Chinese takeaways for this one. I've also tried the others but this one is the best. Great service all round, and the lady who takes the orders is very friendly, well worth checking out,👌👌.

The chips and curry sauce is the best I've ever eaten try it won't be disappointed

Tasteless food. Ordered crispy salt and chilly wings. Bland. Pak choi in garlic sauce. No taste of garlic. Singapore noodles only prawns had to go in the bin as it came with pork & chicken. Bland. Beef chow mein Bland. Portion size good but other than that it was all tasteless no seasoning. Very disappointing

Good food! But VERY VERY VERY poor Service. Please ask them to repeat your order to make sure they have it correct, because they can give you something that you might be allergic too that could potentially kill you and argue blindly instead of taking responsibility.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Waited 1hour30mins for food tried calling and phone was engaged. When I finally got through a whole load of sob story about how the driver couldn’t get through to my number and how it rang then the phone was switched off. Even though my phone never rang then saying my door bell wasn’t working so he left. If I never called them I would still be sitting here waiting for food. Totally appauling! Will certainly go elsewhere next time!!

Love this place. The lady on the counter is always chatty and the food I can't fault. To be fair though I seem to get the satay chicken with rice combo every time.

This is the best restaurant for the best Chinese food fr, I don't go any where else because there is no where else that compares. Along with such great tasting and fresh Chinese food, Chan and her family have great customer service and work so hard. Thank you for your yummy recipes!!!

Food was horrible they pour gravy all over the food without asking if I wanted it or not. Only just realised the other day their food hygiene rating was 1 so I will not be ordering from here again. Be careful of food poisoning people.

I'm quite an asian food fanatic, and I can honestly say I've tasted my fair share of asian meals. But every time I end up coming back to this place. It's just so damn good !

This is one of the best every day Chinese restaurants we've found anywhere in the world including Singapore and Hong Kong. It used to be our local but now we've moved away we still regularly drive to go there - usually at our 13 year old sons insistence. The freshness and value for money always amazes anyone we take there. I'd recommend I'm confused about the 1 star review above because this place is incredibly consistent - can't explain it.
