Ordering the food over the phone was very difficult could hardly here them & food quality is absolutely shocking rice wasn’t egg fried rice & I didn’t spring rolls & chips was very soggy & sauce was dead thick won’t be ordering again

I have been going here for a very longtime, chicken in black bean sauce, Vermachelli Singapore style, fillet steak Cantonese style, king prawn chow mein these are just a few dishes that I have always ordered. Cooking is a fine art I have never had a complaint about any food I have had from this takeaway, I have been to restaurants in Manchester China that have not been as good as this takeaway. The couple running this takeaway are very good people. Food always prepared perfectly, order on the phone always very polite and Pleasant. I will never go another Chinese takeaway why would I when this is to the highest standard.

Chine food is ok. Every time we get chips, they're just a soggy mess and not cooked. As white as when they were peeled, never cook them thoroughly. Ignore recommendations because you can't review unless you pick a dish... ridiculous

Always very freshly cooked food….speedy delivery and always hot when delivered….the lady and staff are all lovely and polite too…highly recommend this little gem of a takeaway

I’m very predictable with my order, but it’s the best Singapore vermicelli and sweet and sour chicken around. My opinion of course.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, great service, quality food.

First time experience of the Fortuna was very good. Meal consisted of barbecue/salt & pepper ribs . Main- Sweet & Sour Chicken. Singapore Vermicelli. All excellent . Service was friendly and helpful. I would most certainly recommend the Fortuna and will return.

Very nice service, very happy people with a friendly approach. Now about the food! The food here is amazing, I can honestly say I'm into my Chinese food, however, I am also very picky when it comes to it, but when I ordered food I have only ever had once previously before and it was beautiful from somewhere else then it's hard to find that dish again! I ordered Crispy Duck, which they told me for 2 people only order a quarter as it is a very good portion and will be enough! (Fair to say she wasn't lying) I also ordered Kum Po beef which I said I have only had once and really enjoyed it, everywhere else I've tried it hasnt been nice at all and put me off. This place, did not fail to amaze me one bit, this dish certainly was and is the best one I've had by far and I've now had this dish several times since. Dim sums are also spot on very tasty cooked to perfection and reasonably priced too. Sweet and sour again, is beautifully cooked and very tasty too with a reasonable portion size for 2 again with a decent price also. Beef and tomato is another dish hard to find for you to like but least to say Fortuna never failed to make this dish beautifully and very tasty indeed. Overall 10/10 and if this was a restaurant then I would highly recommend this and say it would be the best Chinese restaurant in Manchester, but it's not it's the best takeaway by far 👌

This is my favourite restaurant in the world hands down. Don’t know if it’s because I grew up on the stuff or what but I’ve been to some high end restaurants and nothing has ever topped it. I tell everyone about it I’ve nearly convinced people to come up from London to try this food. My biggest fear is that I will outlive this place. Thank you

Friendly lady making everything possible to make her customers happy. Good food, nice price. The spring roll is so delicious. Full of ingredients inside. It's only take away for those are in doubt, but there's place to park the cars and a bus stop only few steps away.

The food was good and got here fast. Excellent phone manner, the driver was kind and friendly. The portions were surprisingly generous, and hot on arrival.

I've had a lot of orders from this place both takeaway and delivered and only had minor problems. However, tonight I had BBQ ribs which were fine and Fillet Steak Cantonese style which was awful. I pride myself on being able to eat / put up with food that's not quite right but this was inedible, it tasted of some kind of chemical (as though some part of the process had been cleaned with a strong detergent and not rinsed properly. Not being a connoisseur of cleaning products / chemicals, I couldn't place it) Motivated to return this to (a) complain and (b) highlight the issue to minimise the risk to others I was not impressed with the response "there's not much left" / "you've eaten most of it" were their main concerns. No, I've eaten very little, not returned the portion I had in my rice bowl and chucked it in the bin. First response should have been an apology, refund, further apology. As another user has described - poor customer relations. I won't be rushing back.

Ordered from this place for years. Last night ordered sweet and sour pork which one piece had a bone in and my boyfriends food had hair in it. Phoned them to let them know so incredibly rude telling me i was lying. Turned up at my house to try and prove me wrong. Then practically threw the money for the sweet and sour pork at me. Horrible customer service. Absolutely disgusting.
