Forthview Cafe in Edinburgh, City of

Lovely views, even in wet weather. The food was super, perfectly cooked and hot. Very nice a tasty. Would have been 5 out of 5 if staff were a little more attentive/friendly and there wasn’t random stuff piled in the corner.

Maxine's cafe is a great place to visit for breakfast or lunch. Food is cooked to order & homemade. Maxine is very pleasant & welcoming. Cafe is clean & bright with amazing views.

Just visited this place and the service was so so poor. The person serving had no charisma whatsoever and the service and response was extremely slow. The coffees we ordered was awful and we were given black coffee when asked for flat white …. Plus then by the time we found the server to retrieve the milk we had requested the coffee was cold! Lovely venue but poor from start to finish … we left the coffee and walked off after paying

Bastante caro Tenía un bollo que no pude comer. El café está bien. Está en una buena situación, pero es una pena que la comida no haya sido mejor.

Very nice lunch. Fantastic views. Food was lovely. Reasonable choice on menu. Coffee tasted like instant, although reasonably priced, may have been worth paying slightly more for a 'freshly ground coffee'. This would not put me off, but would certainly improve the dining experience. Overall, a nice welcoming, friendly place to eat. All adults on my visit, but there were lots of toys and a couple of high chairs around which made it appear to be ideal for people with children.

Lovely friendly service with a beautiful view over the Firth of Forth to Fife. Food is freshly made and home cooked, I love this place in the winter also for a nice hot bowl of homemade soup or even a chicken curry highly recommended.

All welcome at silverknowes golf course . Upstairs from starter. Open Monday to Friday 9am till 2.30pm . Free parking and vest view across the Firth of Forth.
