Great good and fast service for a very reasonable price on the lunch menu. Was very grateful of the air conditioning too on a hot day!

We booked for a special occasion and had the day planned with the meal and evening to finish a the forge having reviewed the website Arrived at 6.00 on Friday evening and when asked about the DJ was told there was a private event I said no mention on the website - no mention when I booked and they took my deposit - no mention on the follow up emails - has friend arriving too Now seated for our meal Totally ignored No one came over - sat there for 25 minutes Asked a member of staff when will they take our order was told to order at the bar Asked about my being returned and left Terrible experience Totally ruined our night had to find somewhere else

Good spot for a group get-together. This place is deceptively large. There's a DJ playing tunes upstairs, a different DJ playing different tunes in the other bar downstairs, and a further room with a big dancefloor with a different DJ there. We had a booth and ordered our bottles and mixers ahead of time to avoid delays in getting drinks from the bar. Good vibes, and good music and is reasonably priced given the location

Worst security ever! We were a group of friends our for a good night. Security checks at the door were fine. At the end of the night they run a one way service, without knowing I from the bathroom gone to our booth to grab our jackets to be grabbed aggressively and hard by a female security guard it shocked me, I said I was going to get my stuff and she responded I don’t care go that way. All which was needed from her was it’s a one way due to cloakroom queue. Instead she grabbed my arm so hard which got me pretty annoyed. Looking at other reviews it seems like the security company used needs to be re-evaluated.

We went out for a smoke, they didn’t inform us there was a smoking area and opened up the gates to tell us smoke outside. After we finished smoking, they didn’t let us back in, and cursed towards us. Fine, we won’t go clubbing inside, but at least let us get our jackets back. We booked a table, so we had our jackets with the table, and not in the cloakroom, yet they accused us of lying and only wanted to go in for the sake of “clubbing”. We had to ask our friends to bring all the coats from our table and bring it outside so we could get them back. While our friend was distributing our coats, they continued to swear at us.Worst clubbing experience ever, I will never come back with my mates.

The bar is stocked up with all the alcohol you could ever wish for. The staff are exceptional and will ensure your experience is a memorable one. They pay extra attention to detail when making their fantastic cocktails using real fruit as garnishes.I would definitely recommend this place for all types of celebrations from birthdays to office parties, Forge is the place to be.

Spent the evening with a few work colleagues in a lovely booth in the cocktail lounge area downstairs and ended up having the best evening I’ve had in a while! Came to Forge last week with a few friends whilst out for a birthday celebration and had such a brilliant evening, it was happy hour on cocktails which was absolutely great. We stayed in the upstairs bar area for a couple of drinks before heading downstairs where they had a DJ and a big circular bar with a dance floor! Great music, my friends and I were dancing all night!

The place is nice and the staff are lovely but I had an horrible experience with a security who tried to fight me and kick me on my face with no reason. I was smoking outside with my colleagues and when we came back we couldn’t find our bags anymore so I asked the security who was next to our table. I asked him gently if he knows where the bags gone but for some reason he started shouting on my face and trying to fight me.Everyone was shocked of his behavior even the manager was quite shocked.The manager tried to convince me to stay but I was feeling not safe anymore as the security was there and he was looking at me in a bad way.The only reason of all this is that I am gay and he is homophobic.I am going to involve the authorities and bring this guy to the court.In 2021 in the UK this should never happen

I used to love this bar and would go here for drinks after work. However the menu is not all good for vegans and for this reason i have stopped going here.

Nice bar, lots of seating downstairs, good atmosphere even early on. Prices are even reasonable for the city.

Service was attentive, polite and efficient. the non-burger menu is a bit dull. <br />i ordered salmon, my friend ordered duck. Both were lacking flavour and freshness. My salmon dish came with a lot of gluteinous mayonnaise-like sauce which totally spoiled it.<br />Decor is nouveau industrial- inoffensive but not pretty.<br />Surprised they do not have to try harder in such a central city location.

The bar is supposed to be top-notch with it's exceptional location in the heart of the City, but I was disappointed. There was a giant queue of waiting people to get inside. The security is tight and strict both outside and inside. Even though, it's full of dancing people, who were definitely not sober. Everyone was seeming to be bumping into each other, because it was overcrowded. The night club itself is located below the ground and is divided into three sections - a pub-like zone, a disco zone and a small area with 5-6 tables. The interior of each one is different and very stylish. The prices are reasonably in the upper range.

My company held its Christmas Party at the Forge yesterday and it is safe to say it was a horrible experience. After a very unsatisfactory lunch, I went outside for 5 minutes with a group of colleagues and as I was trying to go back inside the door staff said I could not get back in because I was "intoxicated" and the management expressly told them I could not be allowed inside.Too bad that I was not intoxicated at all and my company rented the place for the party. Still they would not let me in, while people around me could not even walk straight and were allowed in right away.The difference between me and the others that were alowed back in is that I was the only foreigner.This is not the first time the Forge is known for racial/nationality profiling.The worst thing is that I was not even allowed to get my jacket and my bag so that I could leave and I was left outside with zero degrees and no jacket while my colleagues were looking for mythings inside.I find that places like this should close down immediately.Clearly not up to standard, expecially for work events.

Came here for our Christmas Party but unfortunately not very christmassy. It was very dark and dingy no christmas decorations in the area we were in. Place smelt of damp and it was cold to a point had to put my coat back on. By the time the food came out it was cold. There were no pigs in blankets with the traditional Turkey either! The female toilets were disgusting, floor covered in liquid? and rubbish, cobwebs around walls/ceiling and ceiling had mould. Apparently the mens toilets only had 1 urinal as the others had black bags over them. No Christmas music was played from the DJ even on request with other songs too. All I can say is if you like cold food, eating it in the dark and being cold etc then this is the establishment for you. That has got to be one of the worst places I have been too. But personally I would book somewhere that is warm, well lit and clean!

I just came here with a big group of 12 people for lunch and I think maybe 2 of them actually enjoyed their food. 6 of us ordered beef burgers which came scorched to obvilivion. It was almost as if they had been to the sun and came back and put them on our plates. I asked for mine to be re-cooked and literally the same thing happened. Samething happened to those who ordered chicken burgers as well. Once is bad but twice is horrendous.

A group of us went to the Forge last night for our colleague’s leaving do. We are all friendly and respectful people just out to have a good time. The staff especially one of the Managers were so rude, unwelcoming and unhelpful.We also witnessed the door staff being very aggressive to someone. I will definitely not be coming back here!

It wasn't just slow, it was dismissive and rude service. The waiter seated us with derision when we said we wanted food but not a full meal. He then proceeded to ignore us. He was stood on his phone for ages whilst we waited to order. We kept trying to get his attention. He was a master at avoiding eye contact. Eventually we managed to get a colleague, possibly manager and he came over to take the order. Didn't look at us, smile, was barely polite. We ordered food and drinks. The food arrived ages before the drinks. The calamares was really good, the nackos were basic, bland and cold. Funnily enough you might be able to guess that it took ages to get the waiters attention for the bill. Needless to say the tables were far from full, he was busy on his phone again. I won't rush back. Shame as nice location and pleasant surroundings.

I hate writing bad reviews but this is the second time I have gone to the Forge for afterword drinks and the bar service has been terrible!

Service slightly slapdash. Food was average with my Red Snapper being very over cooked, although my guests steaks were supposedly good.<br />The restaurant needs an upgrade for the area it’s in.<br />Bit disappointing overall.

I recently attended a private party in the dark, dreary and noisy basement of this venue. On arrival I advised I was with my daughter (we had traveled for two hours to the venue) and we were given our wrist bands and told to head downstairs. Wrist bands seemed a little odd and instantly, I realised this was not an up market venue.

Hernrique and Schirin were absolutely amazing what a great duo! Me and my colleagues were truly impressed - recommend this place and thumbs up for my two bartenders!

We had booked a table for 8 people on a Wednesday evening. There was no one at the welcome desk and we spent about 10-15 minutes stood waiting for someone to find time in their busy schedule to seat us.

We were pleased to get a table last minute for an informal lunch. The servers were very friendly and attentive which was welcome as we were limited to 1 hour. I liked the booth seating and the open kitchen. I would recommend for a quick turnaround informal lunch.

I was there twice with my friend for drinks and both times we were disappointed on some blonde lady working as a hostess being so rude. She came to us after one hour and 15 min from the reservation time set on the table and told us on a very demanding and rude tone that the reservation is here and we gotta leave the table. Except the fact that the ladies were late more than an hour and she shouldn’t have asked us to go, her attitude was out of order. Same lady, second time with a 50 min late reservation being late. We might have just been unlucky but she is really disrespectful and arrogant.

Well decorated Hi-End looking Club/Restaurant with reasonable prices. Drinks packages are great for groups and food is excellent. Me and my mates had a lot of fun at Jo's leaving party and service was top. Big Hug to the beautiful Schirin, that took such a good care of us. Also if you need to organize company events take a look, we enquired about it and apparently they have various spaces available and prices again are not bad at all.

Visit on a Friday evening couldn’t be better. Popped in at a happy hour time and got to taste one of the most tastiest Pornstar Martini me and my friend have ever gotten - from two amazing bartenders Henrique and Aurimas! Big thumbs up to them - will definitely be back!

Mi amigo y yo pedimos una botella de champán y una gran ronda de tragos en el bar, el gerente del bar se acercó y comenzó a mover las cosas a un lado diciendo "quién es este" al camarero que nos atendió, muy agresivamente tratando de dejarlo todo el bar. . . Tuve que intervenir y decir "estamos esperando a que se viertan nuestras rondas y luego vamos a tomar todo". Después de haber gastado mucho en la ronda, y su prioridad principal era tener una oportunidad y la camarera que limpiaba el bar, me hizo desear no haber salido corriendo.

Went here on Friday for drinks with friends - we ordered a couple of cocktails but they were all vile and we ended up discarding them and opting for a bottle of wine instead - a safer option. The bartender put his hand over my friends drink whilst mixing it to stop the liquid flying around - so she had his hand all over her glass - super gross. Tried to ask a member of staff about ordering some food - he just shook his head and walked away. Staff were rude, constantly shoving past patrons & generally a poor, if not bitchy, attitude. However the music was great so that was a bonus! Other than that, won’t be going again - the hangover was not worth it!

I have arrived at Forge at 19.30 as we had a booking at 19.15 and the security guy with no reason did not let me in. I think he thought I was a different person and that's the main reason why I did not gain access. Still all my friends managed to get inside and he did not want me to get inside even if it was my first time I was in that place. What an awful place this is! I know we’re old school, but my mate asked for a lager shandy, sorry the server says ‘we don’t do shandy’ seems they don’t do lager either. Twice we had to almost flag down a server even though there were very few people there. Ordered a steak sandwich, which basically was a rump steak, uncut, placed inside 2 pieces of white, thin sliced, bread which had almost dissolved before the plate hit the table. The steak was so tough it could have gone 3 rounds with Anthony Joshua. In conclusion, the ambience at lunch time is miserable, the service is abysmal and the food, well based on the steak sandwich anyway, is awful. Use only as a last resort- don’t say i didn’t warn you.
