Always great service consistent food

We were looking for Halal restaurant near our Nikah venue. We booked dinner for our wedding party of 19. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They made sure any requests were taken care off promptly. Everyone loved the food and the service on the night. Marin, especially, went above and beyond our expectations making sure we were happy with the table arrangement and decoration on the table before our special day. Thank you for having us. We would highly recommend Fora!

Had a great lunch.. Tried Spicy chicken wings and Calamari starters and then the lamb shank.. All was delicately spiced and perfectly cooked.. Service was friendly and despite venue being packed attentive and respectful. I will have to come back to try more options.. Update.. went back and tried falafel, garlic mushrooms and mixed grill.. flavour as above.. awesome

Yum food, great service and desserts to die for. The Kulbasti was so full of flavour, I was even tempted to eat the plate!... 😉 Update: Ok, so come back after a long time and this is really dangerous, because you will eat much, much more than you should. The food was so damn tasty, that my stomach was saying no, but my taste-buds kept wanting more... 😋🤤

An overall great dining experience. Started with Kalamar and beef sausage. The Kalamar was a bit rubbery and the sausage was a tad salty but on the whole pretty good. The Adana Kofte main, however was incredible and beautifully tender. Highly recommended! Even the complimentary bread was a great starting point. The staff were also kind enough to allow us to stick around a little while after we'd finished in order to feed our baby which was much appreciated.

Great food, great portion sizes and great service

Restaurant was very nice, with classy service. I enjoyed the traditional Turkish dish. Falafel was a bit different than usual and didn’t really enjoy it but everything else was very nice. 5 stars if you improve the falafel.

I've been here a few times over the years and it is always good quality and good value. The food is beautifully cooked and flavoured, the service is prompt and friendly and the prices are reasonable.

C'était Impeccable! L'endroit parfait pour un anniversaire en famille ou entre amis. Nous avons fêter l'anniversaire de ma mère en mai avec la famille. C'était Excellent. Les serveurs,l'ambiance, les plats ont été sans faute. Ils nous ont même aidés à décorer le restaurant. J'y retournerai sans doute à une prochaine passage à Londres!

Fora has been our favourite neighbourhood restaurant for years. We have celebrated many happy occasions at Fora. And the food and service today are as good if not better than ten years ago. Very good selection with fresh ingredients, superbly prepared and served, wonderful atmosphere. Great place for business meals and date nights.

I had such a great time at Fora! The restaurant was busy, which gave it a lively vibe, but the staff still took great care of us. I tried the meatballs, and it was absolutely delicious, juicy and full of flavour. The service was top-notch and made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a great meal with a warm, welcoming vibe, Fora is the place to be!

Went to eat in this place after a long day in London and was really looking forward to some good Turkish food however, the food was very average and reminded me of a kebab house after a Friday night out. Some of the staff (man with white shirt and black trousers) was very rude. When coming to pay the bill he said nothing and just put the machine in my face and the whole evening he seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Also not a huge variety of Turkish dishes and not great value for what you get. Won’t go there again or to any of the chains.

My wife and I went to Fora recently for lunch. We love Turkish food and live in Shoreditch so it is great to have close place with such quality food. Restaurant was quiet on Saturday for lunch so had very attentive service. We had the city lunch menu which was starter and main for 26GBP. Started with hummus and cacik and both were quite tasty. Then had chicken skewer and adana kofte. The food was outstanding. Very clean restaurant with good wine list. Highly recommend and we will be back.

We ordered 8 platters it was supposed come to in one plate that's makes Four plates but we got Three plates One plate less and they charged us £33 for service without telling us for Eight platters we were charged £300

I was very disappointed with my visit yesterday, I ordered lamb cutlet and the first two pieces were very nice, however the last two slices were just terribly awful in quality and texture, please do not cheat by trying to mix and match left over poor quality and fresh meat on the same plate, customer may not say anything but they surely will not return. Very disappointing experience.

Ristorante turco greco eccellente. In famiglia amiamo la cucina greca perché nostra nonna era di Rodi e cucinava spesso pietanze tipiche. Qui ho ritrovato quei sapori. In particolare nello tsatziki (qui indicato credo con il nome turco ma era comunque lui) e poi nei dolmades e nella moussakà. Dolce conclusione con un delizioso baklavà, che era il suo sfizio preferito. Complimenti e grazie per questo viaggio nel tempo....olyre che per il servizio veloce e cortese e per l'ambiente curato.

Very nice food, fun service and REAL Turkish coffee. We enjoy our lunch visit.on a Friday and it was very quiet. The service was attentive and knowledgeable. Food prepared nicely. (Sorry, forgot to take pics). The roast lamb shank was a standout!

Food was good service ok until we asked for a taxi , we were told we don’t do that . We explained I was disabled and couldn’t walk we were told to go to Aldgate station 450 metre away , I said I can’t walk 30 metres. We were told they couldn’t help it was not there policy. We didn’t know how to get Uber eventually we got a taxi after 40 minutes with no help from the restaurant. It was tonight valentines night the restaurant was 10% full, I think they need to re evaluate their policy of being un helpful. Try somewhere else.

Like Haz, but cheaper. It's a pretty soulless room and location on the edge of the City. Service is good, food is good. A safe bet for a functional meal.

My family and I came here for our Saturday night meal. It was a lovely quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was hot and delicious, it was a great location too!

Dropped into the Fora at 5 on a rainy February afternoon- the service and food was second to none we will definitely to visiting again when we’re in London Photos attached but apologise for the quality they don’t do the beautiful food justice!!

Went with work colleagues in December for our Team Christmas meal. Food was lovely, very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and return.

We dropped by on a quiet Monday night (and I mean really quiet - we were the only patrons) but we left pretty happy. Being a business type meal we didn't mess about with starters and dessert but our waiter was kind enough to bring us houmous dip and some freshly baked bread while we waited. On the main course front I went for chicken kebab with apricots and I have to say that it was excellent. The chunks of meat were large and tender while the apricots added a delightful touch of sweetness. The other dishes also looked rather tasty and we were all pleasantly surprised by our meal. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

The environment is perhaps a little dated, but the service is excellent (kind, attentive, thoughtful, smiling) and the cuisine delicious. I have eaten here several times over the years and it remains a staple. Any grilled meat dish is tender and tasty, but there are also great options for vegetarians. The portions are very generous, the bread (which is brought back to the table as soon as it finishes) truly superb. Excellent quality/satisfaction/price ratio.

Loved the food here. Had the lentil soup with lemon, was excellent and warm. The apetitzer with fresh bread and yougurt with olive oil was very refreshing and tasty. The lamb shank was my main course and came with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, and a side of medium spiced pickles. Excellent combo and compliments to the chef and service of the owner. Dont forget the desserts.

***RECOMMENDED*** Based on the first visit. Excellent service and food. Starter: Lamb on Hummus with some warm bread. It tastes lovely, and it was a good portion size as well. Main: Lamb Shank with vegetables, flavoursome but not spicey, and the texture was excellent, Lamb was cooked perfectly, falling off the bone. Would go again if in town and try something else and see if the food is the same quality. If it is, I would give them 5 stars 🌟

Not sure if all these reviews are fake. I’ve been to thousands of Turkish Restaurants and thought the food here was far from authentic, too plain and barely satisfactory. Service was brilliant though.

What a great find in the heart of the City. Seven of us there for a leaving dinner and all agreed we'd seek it out gain. Turkish cuisine with a mix of wider Mediterranean.

Lovely Turkish restaurant with a good selection of vegetarian food. Loved everything starting with their bread to the desert. Tiramisu is a must try. Good portions served for the price.

Love this restaurant. Its my go to place when I need a quick or long lunch and its proper comfort food. Ingredients fresh, cooked well, presented well and very tasty. I usually go for the mixed grill but most things are great. Been going for years. Opted for the Turkish Red wine which always surprises me. Bravo guys.

Fora is a delightful restaurant and our party of 5 were not disappointed. It is situated in the City just a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station. We had chosen a Tuesday evening to dine it was not busy. We plumped for a variety of starters including falafel, Halloumi and Turkish sausage all with bread and dips. Was delicious. Chose chicken shish with rice again excellent very large portions. Service very good this was an ideal location. Would eat here again.

Excellent venue that you will not leave feeling hungry. Food lovely with plenty of choice. Service attentive and impeccable, especially considering we were a large party (10+)

I was looking for a healthy option in the neighborhood for a quick, early dinner and I’m thankful I found Fora. My only regret is that I didn’t come at a time when I’ll order a more full menu. I had a simple Caesar Salad with chicken and it was fantastic. It had the most flavorful and tender chicken I have had in memory. The dressing and salad were really good. Lots of flavor without a heavy dressing. Even the Turkish delight they served with the check was great. The staff and atmosphere are great too. I highly recommend it.

Simply delicious! 1 x Halloumi and 1 x Liver for starters and both were delicious For mains 1 x special meat mixed grill and 1 x special seafood mixed grill. Both served with rice and salad. We both really enjoyed the complete meal and next time we are in London will definitely visit again.

Great tasting Turkish food in East London. Found this place as I was looking for Halal food and this more than lived up to all the positive reviews by providing good value for money. Portion sizes could be slightly larger for the amount they charge though.

The food at Fora was delicious and the Vegetable Moussaka was one of the best I've eaten. To our surprise at the end of our meal the lovely staff brought out a big portion of tiramisu with a candle on it for my husband! Apparently they had overheard us mentioning the word 'birthday'. It was such a nice gesture! Thank you.

Fora is a bustling restaurant, and it's easy to see why it's busy. The food was great, with a lovely selection to choose from. I had chicken with chilli and apricot sauce. The sweetness of the apricot went really well with the chicken, and was set off with a little fresh chilli. Not too much, but just enough to set off the sweetness of the apricot. Although it was busy, the staff were attentive, and yet we never felt as if we were being rushed from our table. I'll definitely be back for more.
