Best chinese in the country! Salted chilli chicken wings are so good, as is the curry and the ribs. Never got a bad feed from here.

Over 90 min for food order that I was told 20 min

Got food on Friday 8th September and have to say this place used to be the go to Chinese now it's the one not to go to I have had food from it two Friday nights previous and just thought it was a bad night so gave it the benefit of the doubt but Friday passed was the final straw will not be back until someone tells me it's picked up. It used to take an age to get through to on the phone but now it's no problem seems I'm not the only one staying away. Disappointed is an understatement 😪

Probably the best Chinese Restaurant that I have visited. The food was delicious - beautifully cooked and promptly served. The service was excellent and we were made to feel special. We will certainly be back.

Used to get takeout out of here every weekend, half hour drive too because it was the best but since the pandemic the food has went down hill. They've either changed cooks or recipe, salted chilli chicken used to be great and they've completely changed the batter and overkilled with pepper. Chips aren't as good either. Unfortunately wouldn't go back

Best chinese in ballynahinch hard to beat the chicken curry 9 times out of 10 order is always right but if it isn't they always do best to rectify it. Only downside if ordering at the weekends is the wait on the delivery but worth it when you get the food. Staff are friendly and everyone loves stevie and Joanne

Have been going here for nearly 30 years, used to be untouchable. Best around but probably in last 6 months has gone down tubes. Used to be best curry and catonise now just plain terrible.... wont be back again. Shame as stevie is a friendly nice guy

Food is mediocre at the best of times, chicken usually dry. Curry is pretty good though

Today was the 21st June 2020. Fathers day and my 16th wedding anniversary. My wife fancied chinese food so we popped down to Foo-Kwai. When I got home I lifted the paper bag out of the plastic and the handle immediately snapped. I phoned them up and told them what had happened and they just asked what needed replaced. Just like that, no questions asked. I was so impressed that Im jumping on now to give them the 5 star review they rightly deserve. Thanks guys.

Both stars are for the service and friendly delivery service. The food was totally bland and the fried rice you could slice with a knife. Virtually inedible. Clearly microwaved. Least authentic food I have ever had.

I haven’t been at this Chinese for a while due to getting rank food and service on my last visit but after reading several good reviews I decided to give it another try. I ordered sweet & sour chicken with fried rice to take away but when I got home with my order I had been given boiled rice instead of fried rice. The sweet & sour sauce was lukewarm and the batter on the chicken balls was over cooked whilst the chicken was dry.

The only chinese takeaway i will go to! Their food is out of this world and the curry is to die for!

Ordered beef in black been sauce last nite... on Tuesday nite I had 2 wait 45 mins... pity but ok... for 7.90 ( delivery) I got next to nothing noodles and beef was over salted... kung food has far better food and the amount of food is unreal for 50 pence extra... no competition... sorry my opinion

Stevies as we know this Chinese has been along time favourite in Ballynahinch. Can be busy. Food portions are good and taste great. Delivered to your door on request.

Dry stringy tasteless chicken. I'd asked for one pot of gravy and got two plus a special fried rice covered in gravy. For £25 for too expensive. The Silk on Saintfield Rd is my local and by heck their salted chilli is far superior

Was here with a friend. What can I say, without being overly offensive? My friend had a chicken dish, the cashew nuts came later in a bowl, novel. The batter concealed, if fortunate a miniscule piece of chicken, Mine was duck with tinned mushrooms. It was gloopy and horrible. We will Never be back

Great tasting Chinese food. Although mistakes can be made I have to say they do their best to correct it for you. Can't Beat the Chicken Curry. Delivery may be slow due to the high demand of orders but still tasty. Eating in is just as good as the takeout. Well priced too.

Very busy, and friendly no frills Chinese, staff bend over backwards to adapt dishes to your taste, nothing too much trouble, very busy at weekends, do be prepared to wait, best curry for miles around!

There are better Chinese takeaways in Ballynahinch, namely Chinas' Finest.

Nice spicy curry. Very popular take away. You will wait awhile for food at the weekend though. You can pay by card on orders over £5.00

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. Has always had issues with delivery and collection times but anyone who is a regular will know this and its down to the restaurants popularity and for me personally it's worth the wait. Any time I've been seated in the restaurant I've had no such issues with waiting on food. The decor is basic and probably could do with a bit of an update but again it wouldn't put me off going as it's very clean and the staff are always pleasant and very professional. I like many of the dishes but if your a fan of Chinese curry, then this place is the best I've ever had anywhere.

We eat from here all the time, last week I had the salted chilli prawn with noodles and it was delicious, staff very friendly.

I've been to the Foo Kwai a few times. Some of their menu is great whilst others are poor. Through time I've learnt what's good. The seated restaurant part is dated and dimly lit, redecorating the place and proper lighting would make this a much nicer place to dine. Nearby parking is very limited, yellow lines directly outside the place as the Fire Station is opposite but this dose not stop some customers from just abandoning their vehicles outside and sometimes blocking access to the the restaurant or Fire Station. The carry out of the business is busy especially at weekends and I normally phone in my order to save speed things up and am told it will be ready in 10 minutes, more than once on arriving I've had to wait for nearly an hour. The staff are pleasant but unable to cope when it's busy.

I have eaten here on several occasions. The staff are friendly but when busy they seem out of their depth with chaotic service. Some of the dishes available are good whilst others are just terrible. The fried rice tastes greasy whilst battered food has a thin batter which causes the chicken and pork to dry out during cooking. The sit-in part of the restaurant appears dimly lit and drab. I have previously phoned in an order and was told it would be ready in approximately 10 minutes but on arriving I've sometimes had over an hour to wait whilst staff just say it will be ready in a few minutes. Nearby parking is very limited as there are double yellow lines outside the restaurant due to the Fire Station opposite but some customers just abandon vehicles at the Fire Station or on the footpath outside which can make it difficult for some customers to enter/exit the restaurant. This could be a far better business if the restaurant was redecorated and they used a different cooking oil.
