First time user of Gingers, we haven't been here long. Had been to Churchills a few times as it was recommended by a local.. Very underwhelmed. Gingers however was perfect, lovely chunky white cod, crispy light batter and great chips. They've found a new regular!

It's alright fish and chips but nothing special. Quite expensive (as are all fish and chip chops nowadays) and "Large" cod was really more like regular despite being £9.80. The lady serving was friendly but the man dealing with the food, who I believe is the boss, doesn't seem like a very nice person.

Chips were clumped and soggy, the portion a size of a fist. I threw all 3 portions away after seeing them. Makes me appreciate my normal chippy so much more. This was awful. People not that friendly either. Never again.

Don't understand how this place gets any 5* reviews. The manager replaced the fish but one piece was still not up to scratch as it was so thin it had more batter than fish. Won't be going there again.

Must admit I don't use this chippy often, I was buying for myself and mum and decided to try it out. It was lovely, fish was great, not to greasy and the chips done perfectly. Shop is spotless and spacious, I would recommend this chippy

This place has changed name but the food is still rubbish... hard chips that were stodgy so cant work out how they were hard!! The fish was dry, the batter in the fish was the best bit of the whole meal.... oh and for the vegetarians out there i witnessed the cook putting fish and sausages together in one bowl with the fish on top of the sausages!!!! Save your money and go elsewhere!! If I could score zero I would!!!!

Am a regular here usually when late off work! staff always friendly and food tasty and hot.Lovely surprise a few weeks back when given order free of charge because the of gentleman knew I worked for NHS, , much appreciated and many thanks again

Chips were well seasoned. Fish was ok, just a bit oily. Staff members could really be more friendly. It is almoat as if they doing you a favour, take it or leave it attitude.

It’s disgusting the way young staff and customers are treated in this place. Staff are bullied and insulted in front of customers and customers are spoken to like cr*p. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere!

AVOID, dirty place. Man behind the counter was handling coins and notes then picking up raw fish and then sticking his grubby fingers in the chip trays, and no sanitiser anywhere behind counter... Perfect way to catch CORONAVIRUS.

Disgusted at what I witnessed tonight. A poor young lad was being bullied at work being called a f'ing idiot numerous times and slow, asked if something was wrong with him, threatened not to be paid tonight all whilst I waited for my chips in front of customers, the young lad was quiet and looked a bit sad tbh. I gave the young lad a £2 tip and descretly said this is for you as noone deserves to be spoken to like that at work. Owner kicked off said he would take the tip, told me they are his staff he will talk to him how he likes and if I don't like it I can f off and find somehwere else 😳😳😳 (which I will FYI) I do not wish to support a business that talks to and treats there staff like that let alone in front of customers or talks to me like that. If anyone knows this young lad please put him my way so I can buy him a box of chocolates for putting up with that man as a boss!!!! Left this place crying in anger at how this has happened just going to get fish and chips. I'm Not usually the confrontational type or the review type but I have staff, and kids and if either were treated like that I'd want to know. Will not return

I could not believe the bad reviews from this amazing chip shop. So I went along to check it out. And I was 100% right. This is the best fish & chip shop in Bracknell. The chips were crispy and the battered haddock cooked to perfection. Would revisit any time!

Ordered one Haddock and large chips. The so called Haddock fish wasn't a haddock rather a Cod (FYI, I can tell it from its shape, taste and the skin). Chips were mostly broken end pieces and few remaining were all stuck with one another. Very low quality of food. Even being a local; I won't be recommending this place. Absolute rip-off. As a proof, I've even uploaded a snapshot of my receipt showing the amount I paid for one time. Never going back again.

Brought take-away Cod and Chips here on 4 different occasions - always good quality fish - good thickness so not dried out by the frying process - standard chips more than enough for 2 people - would recommend

Awful fish shop. Extremly Rude and nasty cook/manager. Food burnt and hard. Dont get what you pay for. Doesnt like giving to many chips away! Hygiene poor. Sweeping dusty mats while serving food!! Had to put a star up to send the post but dont want to!

Great staff, nice clean location. Threw my dinner in the bin though tonight which is a shame after a really hard days work. Sausage was just wet, chips all clumped together just A low quality meal today.

We live in Bracknell and it’s by far the best chippy. We do go early in the evening when the fish is often being cooked to order so it’s lovely and crispy and fresh. Good chips. Nice range of other choices. Not the cheapest but worth it! Closed Sunday evening which is sometimes an issue for us!

Decent portion of chips but expensive. The "jumbo" cod was like the normal one at our usual chippy. Nothing to write home about.

We have had food from this takeaway many tines, and had so far been very happy. Satisfied with the quality and quantity of food. Everything we ordered eg Fish and chips were fresh and delicious. Definitely will go back. Well done and please keep up with the excellence.

Good fresh fish and crispy batter. The last time we went for a take away the fish was lovely but the chips had more eyes than anything. I kept picking them off before I could put in my mouth. Maybe a cheap batch of potatoes. Not good.

Visited on a quiet Wednesday evening, paid way over the average price for fish and chips, only to get home and realise they hadn’t packed the fish. So spent over £10 for a portion of chips that were hard, undercooked and covered in black bits. What made the situation worse was when I called to inform them of the situation, I was rudely told “Oh well there’s nothing I can do about that unless you come and get it”. Unbelievable. Absolute rip off and waste of money.

Always enjoy our fish supper. Usually freshly cooked, so may have to wait a while. Fish is lovely quality. Many other choices on menu board, but I cannot comment on these, as I always have the cod.

I have been using this fish and chip shop for a number of years. I can honestly say I haven't had any cause to complain about the quality of food the fish has always been cooked well though a large cod does vary in size as does a small. Staff have always been polite and though there has been mention of the owner being grumpy I can honestly say he has a very dry sense of humour and he cooks good food and his shop is always kept clean and hygenic.

I use the Flying Fish a number of times every year when I'm in England on holiday. It regularly produces delicious cod and chips which is my favourite dish.

Great crispy haddock air hole in box so it stays perfect absolutely perfectly cooked chips chunky soft and crunchy and the curry sauce and cod roe great too I just can’t fault it and I’m not easily pleased .

This is a traditional fish and chip shop and I find it worth going a bit out of my way to get well prepared fish and chips.

We use the flying fish around once a month and we always have a good size piece of cod and the meat is always moist and tasty. Chips are also good, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Would definitely recommend.

Buy fish and chips here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed. Fish is always well cooked as are the chips (crisp on the outside and fluffy inside)

The guy who runs it, is always walking around swearing about things and this is not good at the best of times but worse when you have kids in there.

I often try to have fish and chips from the flying fish but have often gone in and they have been sold out of large fish. I find the service poor at times which I realise they are busy but still their customer relationships is not good at times. Not the cheapest place I've been to but the value for money is on par with most places. Buy from here each week though and one week you would not go anywhere else and another week you would not go in that chippy again. W

foods ok, but service is appalling, the staff don't know how to smile and the guy that cooks the food it just plain rude, my last visit the gave me the wrong order, which i didn't realise until i got home, so had to go all the way back, the response i got was i took the wrong food, that they handed to me, i'll never good back there for sure

I loved it. The inside of the sausage was very nice and the outside was nice and crispy. I would definitely recommend this for a lovely meal in the Easter Holidays 👍🏻

Went at 7.30pm on Friday night to be told they have run out of jumbo cod and can have regular cod. As I was leaving, heard a customer order jumbo cod and the order taken. The cashier had a guilty face as I looked back while leaving the shop. I wonder what was wrong with my order for jumbo cod!! I certainly won't be going back.

This is a really decent fish and chip shop. The chips are particularly good, really chunky chip shop chips. The cod was good quality too with crispy batter. Portions were of a good size.

We get our fish and chips here most Fridays. The chips are very good and the fish is always fresh. Would recommend this to anyone.

Bought fish and chips for twelve people, including Dutch visitors. Although it was busy I didn't have to wait too long for my order. There is a small waiting area where one can sit down.Staff seemed very efficient and were also polite. Everyone very much enjoyed the meal which was well wrapped, lots of it and still hot.

not a particulary good chippy, Very overpriced when compared with Kentucky or Mc Donalds. Small cod portions with excessive batter to make them look bigger. Massive amounts of chips which is totally unneccasary and probably causes all the other prices to be very high.Only worth a punt if you can't be bothered about price or quality.

Without doubt the best cooked fish and chips for many miles, with light and crispy batter, non-fatty and non-soggy chips, and served with an old -fashioned smile.
