Flying Dragon in East Riding of Yorkshire

After numerous meals from the Flying Dragon, this remains our favourite and the best Chinese takeaway in the area. The shrimp fried rice has plenty of fresh tasting prawns, sweet and sour pork Cantonese style is full of flavour, king prawns with ginger, chow mein, satay vegetable dish and tofu were all of high quality and enjoyable. I certainly recommend the Flying Dragon and they deserve full FIVE stars.

Honestly has got to be one of the worst curry’s I ever had, the curry taste was ok but the chicken and beef was tough as old boots, the pork had a funny smell to it and looked quite green, says a lot when my greedy dog turned his nose up at it. Never again I’d rather starve than have anything else from there.

Fantastic food, very friendly owners, we have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant takeaway for around 6 years, as our closed down. only now have we found one to beat our original one which was very hard to beat. Well worth a visit. Definitely recommend.

In hindsight the minute I saw the doormat in the entrance I should have walked away! It was pitted! We ordered chicken curry, egg fried rice and chips, king prawn chow mein and salt and pepper squid. Where do I start!!! The whole lot went in the bin! The curry was congealed and the chicken……well that was not chicken! The chow mein just tasted burnt and the 5 king prawns didn’t look appetising. The rice also tasted burnt and I searched within the batter for the squid and found one bit that was more like elastic……the chips were okay and you get prawn crackers!!!! Vile, honestly avoid

Excellent quality food, great value and prompt service. Our first visit to the Flying Dragon and the food was delicious, hot and without the unwelcome taste of salt which prevails from other establishments. We had beef, sweet & sour pork, chicken chow mein, tofu with veg and shrimp fried rice. Certainly would recommend and will return soon.

Friendly girl on front desk we had beef fried rice prawn toast chips portions very large could have got one to feed two delicious 😋

After reading some reviews we were a little torn, however the food was very nice, fresh snd reasonably priced. The special chow mein main was not what we are used to back home, but none the less it was really nice. Would order again for sure.

We had a fabulous meal the food was great. This was the second time we've ordered from flying dragon and will always do so when on holiday in bridlington. Extra praise for the man on the phone taking the order, so efficient!

After a disaster trying to find vegetarian food, we found the menu for Flying Dragon in our holiday chalet and thought we'd give it a go. After so confusion about whether they could deliver to our holiday park, we decided to go and collect. It was cash only and not on any of the ordering apps. When we went in we could tell we'd made a good decision...it was a small place and the smell was delicious. The food was fantastic. The Sweet and Sour Mushroom Balls were some of the best veggie Chinese food we'd had, the chow main and tofu dishes were also very good as were the mini veg spring rolls and the mixed veg rice. What was particularly stunning was that it took less than 20 mins from call to collection and came to under £25. A great find that we'll use again if we're in the area.

To end a weekend break in Bridlington, the wife fancied Chinese. A quick search found this not 5 minutes from where we were staying. Placed an order over the phone and told it’d be ready in 15 minutes. Picked up on time and got back to where I was staying. The food was still piping hot and very tasty. My King Prawn with bamboo shoots and water chestnuts was beautiful, not greasy at all. The wife had beef satay which she raves about, especially the beer that she said was cooked perfectly, especially as it can often be chewy. Anyone staying in Bridlington with this within reach needs to pay a visit to Flying Dragon.

Oh and did I mention fast service? The usual range of Chinese food can be found here and the staff seem pleasant and responsive.

This is without doubt the best Chinese take away in Bridlington very popular/busy both chicken curry and chicken in batter with curry sauce absolutely delicious

Tried this takeaway tonight. Got a set meal for 2 delivered for myself and my grand-daughter. It took just under an hour to arrive, but was piping hot, and tasty. There was absolutely loads of food - it would easily have fed 3 people. Would definitely use again!

First visit here. Good menu and not too expensive. Food was good and hot. Curry sauce wasn’t the best though

I'm a creature of habit at times and when I find something I like I tend to gravitate towards it a lot, that said, ethnic food is a fairly personal thing as in if you try it from one source a couple of times, is there a realisation that it is 'generally' too spicy, not hot enough, too many cheap ingredients in the dish to pad it out or bland? I can honestly say this takeaway has never served me a bad meal and I've been eating the food for three years now since I discovered this tucked away in the mean back streets of Bridlington. Not only are the recipes familiarly exotic, they are pretty much spot on in taste, content and value for money and they even delivered it to my flat on the first floor when I had a broken leg (I threw the guy a key, he brought the meal up, re-locked the door and posted the key back, is that service or what?) The food alone is worth it, the service is fast, efficient and usually cheerful (you can tell if the guy has loads of deliveries but that only means its popular and he's always polite) so my advice - make these guys your own go to for takeaway delivery.

We are on holiday for a week and have used this place previously without issue. Tonight I had to take our order back. Barbecue spare ribs..sauce tasted like liquorice. Sweet and sour chicken pieces were a mushy tasteless affair (tried two pieces). I didn't even try the 'chicken' curry as I have never seen 'chicken' that looks like this did.To their credit got a refund without hassle.Felt sorry for the four other customers waiting for their orders though.

We ordered beef, bamboo shoots main: special rice, chips. For delivery: it arrived and after opening the Beef our entire apartment stank of raw garlic, the rice was hotter then a hot curry and cold chips.We have been eating Chinese food including a trip to china for 25 years but tonight never again. The most disgusting food we have ever smelt : we had to throw everything away and our apartment still smells terrible. Fortunately only 1 mouthful but it's still repeating on us. Avoid at all costs

Generally use this Chinese maybe once a month as a family treat and it's been the best we have tried here in brid. Always great with delivery and phone service and pricing fair too. All round a good takeaway with delicious prawn toast and the curry sauce is devine.

Ordered mixed vegetable curry , received mixed meat curry, I'm a vegetarian , person on the telephone said my husband said meat. Very rude and not obliging. Never again .

Looked good tasted ok then I found small pieces of i carnt say meat cos it wasn't not ham the only way I could describe it is bland rubber type prossed meat rang back to find out what it was and they didn't know AHH

We had a take away delivered to our caravan park, it took quite a while to arrive (over 1 hour) but was nice and tasty in the end. Would use again.

We use Flying Dragon often and every time our meal is delivered in quick time, nice and hot and always tasty 5 years and can't recall a bad one. Good value good food and fast service that's all you need.

Very good value for money. Especially the mixed platter starters The special chow mein was a bit rubbery and felt like it had been warmed up The duck in plum sauce was nice though
