There is so much to love about Flora Indica, the welcoming staff, the menu, choice of drinks and the wonderful taste of the food. I went for a solo dinner and chose the Jerusalem Artichoke Papdi Chaat, lentil and kidney bean makhani and the basmati rice. Together these three provided an exquisite range of textures and tastes, with various spices popping. The crispness of the Chaat complemented the makhani perfectly. And the rice is enhanced with flavours including pistachio nuts - adding colour and texture. A gin and tonic accompanied the meal. Altogether the cost was 42 pounds. The staff were attentive. The meal arrived promptly. Definitely recommended.

Flora Indica is located close to Earl’s Court tube. It’s a great little restaurant and the presentation of the food is excellent. Nice decor and the service is good as is the food.

I booked a table for 2 on Saturday night at 6 pm. when we arrived, the restaurant was empty and they didn't seem to care (or know) that we had booked. In fact the booking process that I attempted via email resulted in nothing after 2 attempts, so I booked by phone, but wasn't terribly confident that the staff member paid much attention to my details. We ordered some small plates (broccoli, salmon and short rib of beef), the chicken Biryani and a side dish of Kale and cabbage. With tap water and service, the bill was nearly £72... The food quality was good, but we would not have the beef again as it was tough and fatty. The best dish was the broccoli actually.. but the rest was very tasty. I was told the chef was from Nepal and the cuisine was a mix of Indian and Nepalese. Nice decor, our waitress was new but very inexperienced, presentation of the food was good. Would we go back? Unlikely, unless I was in the area - I just felt that the price was too high along with 12.5% service charge for mediocre service. There are many up market Indian restaurants in the UK now and Flora Indica was good, but not stand-out.

Dropped in based on the tripadvisor reviews and glad I did. The ambiance is quite funky, which adds to the experience. I had the monkfish and king prawn curry which was creamy and full of flavour. The chilli and garlic naan was thin and tasty. Everything felt fresh and quality. Service was good and I will return

Best Indian we've ever had, best cocktails we've ever had, amazing blends of ingredients, we had the venison kebabs and pulled duck for starters, the chicken and lemon tikka and monkfish and prawn curry, this was mind blowing, chilli and garlic naan and the cheddar naan and rice, definitely fit to burst, iam totally baffled why some reviews stated portions are small, definitely not, extremely full filling and we couldn't complete our delicious meal. A mention also has to go to the gorgeous thoughtful decor, how spotless everything was. Delightful attentive staff, very sincere and humble, thank you so very much, highly recommend just under £130 including service charge, I'd say it was a bargain considering just how much we enjoyed our evening

Incredible. On par with Brigadiers and Benhares (with a slight edge, owing to a friendlier and less pompous service). Faultless, elegant, creative but not out-of-tradition Indian cuisine. We loved every minute of it and shall return.

Overall, it was a really lovely meal, albeit with relatively slow service (considering the restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived I'm surprised it was as slow as it was). This is definitely a more modern take on classic Indian dishes than some of the other Indian food we had in London. I really enjoyed the creativity, and the food overall was excellent. The Jerusalem artichoke papdi chaat was definitely my favorite of the small plates. It uses crispy thinly sliced fried sunchokes in place of the typical fried crackers. I enjoyed the bergamot lemon chicken tikka and makhani sauce, however I thought it was a bit more mild and less impactful (flavor-wise, not just spice-wise) than similar dishes I had at other Indian restaurants in London. I still enjoyed it and thought it was tasty. I also loved the dessert I tried, which was a shahi brioche tukda tandoor pineapple. The decor was really funky with a bit of steampunk influence thrown in. This was a great option that was already in the neighborhood where we were staying. It was a nice change from the more traditional Indian menus at other restaurants. I would recommend a meal here, especially if you want to try Indian food with a more modern and unique twist, however just beware that the service can be a bit slow.

In London on holiday from States. Party of 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Between us we had multiple starters, 5 varied main courses and drinks. Food, drinks, service and ambiance were all outstanding To this point, even my wife who ordinarily does not favor Indian cuisine really enjoyed the meals. Back home in States have dined at multiple Indian food establishments and Flora Indica surpassed all. Next time back in town would certainly dine here again.

We are from the USA but have enjoyed our time here in London. We have eaten Indian food 5 times now on our trip and this place is HANDS DOWN OUR FAVORITE! The chicken byrani with the tandoor chicken POPPED in your mouth and made the chicken mouth watering. We also had the chicken tikka/Mikahni and it had a great flavor! To put the cherry on top, the service was amazing as well!

One of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Staff were fantastic & very attentive, food was delicious and well worth a visit. The slow cooked duck leg on the bone in a coconut sauce was really good but the highlight (weirdly!) for us all was the poppy seed & red Leicester naan. Best naan we've all ever had!

Flora Indica is near to Earls Court. The food is not typical Indian and well presented and very tasty. The restaurant let’s itself down on the service. It’s just way too slow.

We've happily dined here in years past whilst living in London and made our first visit back last evening in nearly five years. This neighborhood gem was even better than our fond memories, and nuanced, rich flavors were paired with impeccable service. We started our meal with a specialty gimlet each (and tasty enough to compel a second round with dinner), along with a starter of okra fries, chaat masala and lemon. The crunchy strips of okra, battered and seasoned, were "finger food" and one order was adequate for sharing. Our mains included slow-braised Suffolk lamb shoulder rogan josh, deliciously tender and seasoned accordingly. While not a large portion, we shared that as well, along with our second main, corn-fed bergamot chicken tikka. The latter was one of the best tasting, rich and deeply flavored "chicken tikka" meals we have ever tasted, and well worth a visit for anyone who likes Indian flavors but eschews the "run of the mill". We include the red Leicester cheese naan, and spicy creamed spinach, along with an order of rice. Dessert was a kulfi semifredo, a nice finale to a great meal. dinner was a modest 146 GPB with an included 12.5% service.

My wife and I really enjoy spicy food and by London standards IMO this was an inexpensive meal. I enjoyed the lamb shank -the bone was infused with the. Olour of the spice.

"Asian" seems a bit misleading, this is, as far as I understand, solely Indian restaurant. But a good one, definitely. Butter chicken was excellent.
