Gabriel made our New Year's eve dinner very special! He was fantastic with a great sense of humour and he was extremely helpful. Food was also outstanding!

Everyone had told me to try flatiron and I had to give it a try and for what it is it is pretty great. It’s affordable, the staff are attentive, the food came out so quickly and the complementary ice cream is a plus. My only issue was with the steak. While the flavour was good, it wasn’t evenly cooked and some parts definitely edged more of the well done side. You can give the creamed spinach a miss but the mashed potatoes are fantastic.

I’m so disappointed that this restaurant has prime locations in London but does not adapt to the culture here, There were NO vegetarian options on the menu and even the chips were fried in beef fat. They were rude and unapologetic about their fascist menu. Most steak houses in the USA (even in the Deep South) serve fish and salads. Given that McDonald’s in the UK has adapted their menu to cater for vegetarians the management at Flatiron has no excuse for this behaviour.

Delightful steak establishment. They serve the steaks with these miniature cleavers but which are not really necessary as the steak is already sliced. And that steak is delicious, so tender. At the end of the meal you're presented with these tiny cleavers which look like bracelet charms which you exchange for an ice cream as you depart, lovely touch.

I had such a great experience at Flat Iron Spitalfields! Lovely atmosphere and great interiors, the place looks fancy but it's definitely got a more of a casual vibe to it. The bartenders were super friendly, fast service and great cocktails for the price. We had the famous steak, it was so succulent and perfectly cooked, the fries were to die for too! 🤤 Love also the signature popcorn and caramel ice cream given at the start and end of the meal. The staff was lovely, we had an amazing service from Alina, thank you! I would 100% recommend 💯

Flat Iron is incredibly affordable for the quality you get. I just have to give a big shoutout to our lovely waiter Gabriel! He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and really attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic meal. The sides are also exceptional, with the truffled macaroni cheese and crispy homemade chips standing out. Pair it with one of their recommended wines, and you’re in for a treat. This place has a single menu. There is a special menu, but I ordered the special menu and the basic menu. The meat was so tender and delicious. We recommend adding sides and sauce to eat it together.

Extremely friendly staff Maria constantly checking in on us! Entered with free popcorn while we wait for our meal which didn’t take long! Ordered their steak and wow, for the price was extremely value for money and even exceeded my expectation. Ended the dinner with free ice cream!

My partner and I are Flat Iron regulars, but it was our first time coming to this one. From reception to the good-bye ice-cream, it was one of the best experiences. All the staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Big shout-out to Maria who was our waitress today. Impeccable service and good vibes from the moment we arrived. Fantastic steaks, served on a hot stone plate with great cutlery. Really enjoyed. The atmosphere is superb - relaxed lounge music, quite and not too busy. Exceptional service! (thanks Maria) Not to mention we got courtesy ice creams! Love it and recommend to anyone! Definitely will be back.

Never heard of flat iron before, My boyfriend and I were in the area and found them via a google search. On arrival we were welcomed and told we could have a 40 min wait as we hadn’t booked, we were fine with that. Wait was a little quicker 25 mins, we were seated with some yummy popcorn Wait from order to service was quick we had the wagyu steak off the special menu, mac and cheese, green salad and beef dripping fries. This was hands down one of the best steaks ever, cooked to perfection, melt in mouth and seasoned. Side dishes beautiful, value for money great service will definitely be back!

It was my first time visiting a Flat Iron and I was extremely surprised that you are offered complimentary pop corn when you enter and then complimentary ice cream after your meal! Food tasted amazing and it wasn’t crazy expensive (for London standards). Waitress Maria was extremely kind. Thank you!!! Will definitely come back!

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had (not to mention the actually best “Mac n cheese” of all time). It took a while to get a table but it was definitely worth it! Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Just a must-go in London.

I honestly have never had a better experience ever in any restaurant in the world I have been too. The atmosphere was calm and warm with a sense of happiness all over with the most content customers all round. The team in here was fabulous went above and beyond for me and went they found out it was my 30th birthday they just showed so much excitement, my old fashion they put on the house for me (this was also a perfect old fashion every time I ordered one.) they didn’t have to do that at all showered us all in compliments and just I can’t recommend anyone to visit this restaurant more! I will keep my tiny cleaver my whole life as a keepsake! The food was impeccable! The most delicious mouth watering steak I’ve had in a while, the crispy bone marrow garlic mash is another level! You have to order this if you go! And sooooooo reasonable in price! I wish I had got the girls names but the girls working on 12/12/24 evening shift… please can they get some kind of recognition or something because they are amazing! This is a place I’ve always wanted to go but never imagined myself giving them a 5 star. Note that it is not a perfect restaurant, but in terms of what they offer they do a perfect job for the price. The steak isn’t the most tender steak, but it is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Happy to pay 14 quid for it. The sides are not spectacular, but are decent given the price. I like that you also get ice cream at the end of your meal. The staff are very well trained. For the price, the decor is very fancy (including plating and cutlery).

Food was great. Service was a tad slow ( they were very busy) but overall the staff were great very friendly and so kind. I really recommend the Mac and cheese and the free ice cream alone was 20/10

A very good meat. Wonderful site. And a staff of 10. We were served by Diego and Fernando, two Spaniards who explained the entire menu to us and recommended dishes and accompaniments and it was a success. Everything is delicious. At the end they give you ice cream.

The place is very nice. The steaks are great, but the smashed potatoes and the spinach cream are a must have. Very very good. Service is also really good. Gabriel was kind and very attentive.

Some friends went to eat at FLAT IRON this Saturday and it is a nice place, with very good food and above all with staff of 10, especially Elío who treated us wonderfully... 100% recommended!!

First time at the Spitalfields restaurant, I have eaten in the Covent garden branch and few times before. I had to wait over 5 minutes to be seated for a pre booked table, even though there was no queue. The bar staff just stared at me while cleaning glasses, at least 3 servers walked pass without making eye contact or acknowledging my existence. When I was seated, (my guest had already arrived and been seated and ordered her drink), we had to wait over 10 minutes for a server. I tried to attract the attention of a server 3 times and was ignored. 1 server was actually standing next to me when I said excuse me, and he completely ignored me. When we finally got a server, and I complained about the service, I was told "if you don't like it then leave" and he continued to berate me until I said "can we just order our food" ( for the forth time). As my guest had a drink already, I asked for a margarita to start, then ordered food and drinks to go with the food. The food arrived promptly, the cocktail never arrived. Dear Flatiron, Your food is great but your servers need some training and a lesson in good manners. At least at the Covent Garden branch they are polite and friendly. I only took exception to the fact that one particular server thought is was OK to shout across the restaurant floor. The Spitalfields branch however is next level bad, the service is egregious and I will never step foot in it ever again. Gaucho maybe way more expensive, the the service has always been top notch.

My first visit here. Nice venue but a bit loud. Couldn't hear the conversations I was having with my friends. Steak was nice and sides but portions are small for what you're paying so I wouldn't go back. I did like the ice cream as we were leaving, even though I'm not an ice cream fan, especially in winter.

We had an amazing lunch with my daughter on a Friday. It was our first time at this restaurant, but will come back for more for sure. Food was really tasty, we loved the Flat iron steaks! Really great little place. Went as a walk in and got seated quickly, very friendly and attentive staff. Not a huge choice on the menu but what is there is very well done. Had a melt in the mouth steak with very indulgent beef dripping chips. A busy and buzzing restaurant! Topped off with a cone of soft serve vanilla ice cream that I enjoyed on my walk home. One of the nicest ice creams I’ve had in a long time! Would definitely recommend

Very good address: the burger is excellent and the meat on the board is extremely tender. Perfect homemade fries with beef fat! The prices are very reasonable for London and the service is friendly. Good choice of good quality beers. As a bonus you will be entitled to a small ice cream to take away for dessert. Great!!! 👍

Great spot for a quick steak at lunch, steak is £14 for the standard flat iron which is a bargain for this part of town. Thanks to Elio for the friendly service - really appreciate the staff here.

Out of all the flag irons I have been to this is my favourite so far. Team was really accommodating and friendly. I had a bunch of questions about sides but Adri answered them all and helped to pick a really nice Wagyu, mash and kale salad combo. I loved every minute and bite I had there. Definitely will recommend and come back!

Great venue, good location. Friendly and attentive staff. Won't find a better quality steak for the price an ywhere in London..guaranteed. always go Wagu is my advice (specials board) highly recommend. I went with 1 other person and had 4 steak..hence the price per person. Uou can eat here for as little as 20 per head and still get a good steak
