Flat Iron in Tower Hamlets

So disappointed, reviews looked great. I ordered wayagu beef steak and it was less than mediocre meat with knives that could not even cut.

The food was quite good, and the staff were very friendly.

steak was very bland, the little sprinkle of salt didn’t do nish, and chewy. the peppercorn sauce had a bit too much salt and was quite overpowering for my liking but it wasn’t too bad. however the mashed potatoes were very nice and tasty, would definitely recommend. overall it’s not too bad for the price but i wouldn’t go back.

Great food, lovely ambience but most of all what made dining here so special was Elio our server he was so friendly, attentive, mindful with my shellfish allergy, he recommended the best drinks to go with our meals. Will definitely return 💯

It was my first time ever eating alone at a restaurant and I had a great time! The food was delicious, I had the best mashed potatoes and the steak was really good. The staff were really nice, specially Elio who made sure that everything was ok! I’ll definitely come back again next time i’m in London!

This is actually my first time to try flat iron and I was really impressed of how amazing the service it was First the restaurant is beautiful inside. The service was beyond fantastic. Mariia welcomed us and ensure we were well taken care of. From explaining the menu to offering her suggestions, ending with the birthday Prosecco offering which I have never expected that. I had absolutely great time!!!

Visited Flat iron yesterday. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Maria our server). Service was fast and attentive. Food came out hot, quick, very tasty, and cooked perfectly. Got a free ice cream as well, which was really nice.

Ok, basically went in for the steak as it came recommended. The menu is simple but ideal. Beer option again is minimal in options but fair play easy to take a pick. Meat cooked as requested, rare, and the fries were sufficient. Service was prompt and the chef got those steaks out in quick time (2pm on a Friday).

Great food, loved the whole thing. Looking forward to going again soon.

Lovely food, in my opinion very reasonable for steak in London (not a massive cut in fairness) cooker very nicely. We had a 50min wait but well worth it in my opinion. Service was good with popcorn whilst waiting and ice cream on the way out. Good bear and fast service once seated. Spot on meal. Will return!

Had a lovely meal yesterday afternoon. The food was absolutely lovely. The steak was cooked to perfection! The mac & cheese & spinach were lovely. The restaurant was very busy but the staff never skimped on the service very happy!

Reasonable prices and excellent service! And delicious popcorn at the table and free ice cream on the way out - amazing! I had the special picanha 23 pounds, and kale Caesar 4.50 pounds, not bad. I am sure the flat iron steak 14 pounds would equally have been as good. Food came out quickly, and sea salt and pepper grinder at the table if you need a little more flavor.

First time visiting but not sure what the hype is. Steak was okay but not the best and the chips tasted like the oil they had been cooked in was dirty. The mac & cheese had way too much garlic in it, and the spinach lacked a pinch of garlic. Had no flavour. 3 stars for service only as the waiter was very nice but won't return. Far better steak restaurants around.

Absolutely perfect!! We thoroughly enjoyed our diner at Flat Iron! When we first entered the place was completely full, however we were told that we could return within 40 minutes. Which surprised me since we didn’t have a reservation at all! After 40 minutes of exploring London a little more we returned and were immediately welcomed inside. We sat down and after less than 5 minutes of eating the free pop corn and drinking the free water, we ordered our food: fries with a hamburger for me and the flat iron steak and a truffle mac’n cheese. We were asked for allergies and I told the waiter for my allergy for apples, but said it probably wouldn’t conflict with the food. After a short while the waiter returned to say that the truffle dressing on my hamburger contains apples and asked if it was okay to leave it off, which was a very good show of how dedicated and enthusiastic the staff here is! We waited for a bit in the cozy, but loud atmosphere. The loudness being the product of having a lot of guests. Within what felt like less than 5 minutes our food was served. We were both completely blown away by the quality of the food. What amazed us was that after we were done eating and payee the check, we got a free ice cream. Can’t recommend enough!!!

An incredibly cost-effective store in London. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good, but I wonder how they can operate at this price. I ordered 2 steaks, 4 beers, and 1 side, and it cost almost 50,000 won per person. I think I'll definitely visit again next time I go to London. The steak itself seems to have a slight smell, but considering the price, it's enough to make you dance around eating it. The truffle macaroni is really delicious, so be sure to try it haha.

I had a meal here with my family. The food was amazing, steak was superb as were the beef dripping chips. The ice cream on the way out way also a nice touch and very tasty. What let it down was the service. We waited way too long to both get served, and then get our drinks, which arrived at the same time as the meal. After the meal was served we seemed to lose all service. We could not get anyone's attention, I fancied another drink but gave up on the idea. Even getting the bill was difficult, once we had the bill you'd expect someone would follow with a card machine, but we had to get another staff members attention to pay. Plus a long delay at the end to get the ice cream on the way out. Considering a 12.5% service charge is automatically added on every bill, you'd think the serving staff may be a little more attentive or even happy. Maybe automatically adding the service charge makes for unbothered staff. Great food, poor service.

The steak's great, really good quality. They have Wagyu, but honestly, I couldn't tell much difference between it and the regular steak. The sides are awesome. .

This is a really delicious steak house. I visited at opening time at 12 o'clock. Within 15 minutes, all the tables I was sitting at were filled with customers. Spinach cream is a great side dish to relieve greasiness. I had today's recommended steak, Wagyu sirloin, and it was really delicious. This is a perfect restaurant right down to the last serving of ice cream.

We went to Flet Iron the other night with a group of friends. It was a happy, friendly vibe and our waitress Bambi was fantastic. She was patient and knowledgeable as one of our group had loads of questions. Food was tasty.

All the reviews we have seen for this place were so good and i can understand why!! We cannot say anything bad about this place. We went for my birthday and had a nice table out the way. Staff were all great, all the food was so full of flavour. Wow the mash!! We shared a flat iron, i tried the scottish bavette and my husband had the wagyu bavette and all just melted in your mouth. Free water, free popcorn and free ice cream too. Bonus. So good this place we are going back!!

I went this week after years of not coming back for dining and it was the best meal I’d had in a long time - the steak was amazing and such good quality food for very good prices.
