Amazing Food and Outstanding Service We had a fantastic experience at Flat Iron Spitalfields. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh — you can really taste the quality. A special mention goes to Elio, our waiter, who was not only very friendly but also extremely attentive to my girlfriend’s allergy concerns. What truly stood out was how Elio went above and beyond his role, taking the time to share great tips about the city and recommend some lesser-known tourist spots we hadn’t heard of. It really made our visit even more memorable. Also, we loved the restaurant’s knives — they were unique and added a nice touch to the dining experience. Highly recommend this place! We will be back soon!! :)

My partner and I were there at the beginning of May and we were served by a very friendly Spanish waiter who treated us very well. His name was Elio and the food and the place were very cool.

I had to send back my steak as I asked for medium well, and it came rare , When they bought back my steak, it seemed as if they just threw it on the plate, no presentation ... very disappointed 😞

Very decent food - and not too expensive compared to other restaurants in London. I was impressed by the hospitality of the staff. Especially Maria - our waitress. I also really liked that you get free popcorn at the beginning, and ice cream at the end!

What i love about this place the most is they've caught on to what the world really wants. Salted AND buttered popcorn. This is your table snack and after your meal you get an icecream and its actually pretty good! Steak and sides were great with the mac and cheese being the highlight Burger was alright too.

Everything was perfect and couldn’t ask for better. The atmosphere and food were amazing, their steak taste great for the price and creamy spinach is really recommended as a side. But the best thing ever was the service, the friendly staff made my day. Upon entrance without booking, the staff did the best to find us a table even though the busy hour. We’ve been served by Maria. She was amazing and literally made us feel like home. Great customer service and will be sure to go again :).

Amazing place! The food and service was on another level! The waiter was really nice and calmly explained our menu. Had a great time there and will definitely come back!

A place in East London near the old Spitalfields market. You need to book because it is always very crowded, especially on weekends. There is a nice bar, a few tables outside, a room on the ground floor and a fairly large one going down the internal stairs. They welcome you with a cup of popcorn and then you can order different types of meat with sauces and various sides. The waiters are helpful and professional and upon asking they bring you the table with the allergens present in the various dishes. At the end of the dinner they give you a small knife to hand over before leaving to receive the free ice cream, delicious. Upon asking they can put the ice cream in a paper cup instead of a cone.

We’ve been here many times and it’s always a great experience. Hannah served us today and was really accommodating to our requests. Would recommend everyone to try this place

Lovely place. Always difficult to get a seat as a walk in but the steak is worth it. The portion is not huge but the delicious sides make up for it. It can add up though so I would considering sharing and mixing sides.

There can some negative connotations when it comes to restaurant chains but as a total noob I was really impressed with flat iron Spitalfields. Food was beautiful and great value. The free ice cream was gorgeous and an unexpected treat. I will be planning on trying other branches in future

A fantastic experience at Flat Iron in Spitalfields! The steak was an absolute triumph, perfectly cooked to a sublime medium-rare that was both tender and full of flavour. The mash was a revelation – truly amazing and a perfect accompaniment. Service throughout the meal was great; the staff were friendly, attentive, and really added to the positive atmosphere. A definite recommendation for a top-notch steak dinner in a lively setting.

The first time I went to Flat Iron was a few years ago, and I’ve always remembered it as a great experience. During a recent visit to London, my friends and I decided to go to the Flat Iron in Spitalfields—and it was just as good as I remembered. We felt really welcome from the moment we arrived. Our table was ready, and our waiter, Elio, was super helpful. He took the time to explain the menu and helped us choose the right cuts of meat. We ordered flat iron steaks and all the sides to share—Elio made sure everything was taken care of. Drinks and food came quickly, everything was correct, and it all tasted great. At the end, we got ice cream and make us even more happy. These days, it’s not always easy to find both good food and good service, but this place really delivers. We left very happy and would definitely come back again.

Was amazing our main waiter was ash I’m coeliac and he was so understanding so careful with allergens to make sure I was okay would definitely come again the rest of the staff were incredible too absolutely loved it!

I walked in with my sister on Monday bank holiday, we weren’t sure if they had a table because we didn’t book but they said 20 minutes and we’re very kind. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail and we were seated so much sooner it was great! Ash was a wonderful server to us he went above and beyond for my celiac sister explaining everything and being extra cautious to make sure nothing contaminated her food. Helped us out when my sister didn’t really like her cocktail and swapping for us, he was so kind and helpful and everyone working Monday night was wicked and awesome. Would recommend to absolutely everyone! Loved it! The steaks were to absolutely die for! See you guys again soon! :)

Great discovery in London, thanks to a very good recommendation. We tried the three types of steak on the menu, and all three were delicious. At the end they offered us a free ice cream. Regarding the service, it should be noted that we found a very friendly and attentive Catalan waiter who gave us very good explanations about the food and the beer, and the rest of the staff were also very friendly.

One of the best special cuts I ever had: the Hanger ( described very beautifully by Ash). Piotr was very kind to sort out my booking, make sure he is on his shift when you come in, I never seen a hoast move so quick with a full house! Oliver at the bar gave us a very nice chat and refreshing drinks! You are lucky to have such a strong team guys, remember the venue is nothing without people smiling everywhere and genuinely enjoying their work! I do hope everyone everyone mentioned in the review, will get the rightful appreciation! Thank you so much for an amazing experience! By the way do not forget to get your ice-cream on the way out!

Fantastic. Service was brilliant from the drinks at the bar, to being seated and served, top class. Food, if you are going to do something do it right and they do at flatiron. Steak was perfectly cooked, truffle mac and cheese was super tasty and the baked aubergine was delicious. If you are looking for a nice meal, good value and with service and atmosphere then you will be hard pushed to beat this. Keep doing what you are doing, loved it.

Visited Flat Iron yesterday. The staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Maria our server). Service was fast and attentive. Food came out hot, quick, very tasty, and cooked perfectly. Got a free ice cream as well, which was really nice.

My partner and I absolutely adore this place. The staff are so nice and welcoming and the food is fast and yummy. The Aubergine side is to die for. Their stakes are always cooked correctly without a miss . They give you free ice cream at the end too. The prices are reasonable and it’s open till late . We love this place. Thank you

The food was gorgeous but what was stellar was the customer service. Just absolutely lovely staff that made the food and experience all the more better! The free ice cream after the meal was already a great bonus but the fact that it was divine and is still replaying in my mind rn is the cherry on top.

This is my first time trying on flat iron. I’d recommend anyone to come and try their food. The food was great and the waitress who looked after me and my friend were amazing, Sonia. She was very patient and in to the details. Sonia advised me and my friend how we should have the steak. I was going to order the steak well-done but she advised me to get in medium and if I don’t like it, She said that she will take it back and make it well done for me if I’m not happy with my steak. But thank you Sonia, I did love my steak very much. She was even recommend all the side dishes and everything she did recommend, we loved it. Thank you again Sonia for the amazing time. One of my favorite steakhouses I’ve been to for an extremely reasonable price. Worth the wait if they’re busy + make sure to get the truffle macaroni and cheese.

We came for the Flat Iron steak and we added the Wagyu Picanha to make it even better. The steaks are very affordable, all between 15 and 25 GBP. They arrive at the table perfectly cooked and well seasoned (salt). Their sides were surprisingly good, fries nice and crispy, spinach super creamy, and the truffle mac and cheese was tasty. As a great finisher you get offered a free soft serve ice cream which was delicious. We are coming back!

30 min wait for a table. An 'Old Fahsioned' here is around 50/60ml of liquid, not good... Our steaks were stone cold, but the sides were amazing. Good service.

A great place for a quick and enjoyable work lunch over a good steak. Food was excellent, service attentive. It can get a bit loud during a busy lunch service and definitely recommend booking in advance.
