Flaming Sweet in Sunderland

Fantástico pequeño restaurante, nunca tuvo una mala comida allí. Tenía un amigo que se quedaría este fin de semana, así que decidí salir a tomar el té. Quedaron enormemente impresionados. 3 de nosotros comimos parmo picante y uno tenía pinchos de pollo, pan de ajo para empezar, porciones eran masivas, patatas fritas caseras, absolutamente increíble. El personal es muy amable, tenemos suerte ya que está en nuestra puerta!

Last minute decision to pop in for tea on Friday night. The restaurant was quiet. The staff are always friendly, we’ve been a few times. We ordered a garlic bread to start, absolutely lovely, they’ve clearly kept the pizza oven in, which is good. I got the chicken shawarma wrap, my god it was unreal, couldn’t believe how cheap it was, my partner got the lamb chops with potatoes & veg, he really enjoyed them. Great restaurant, a most for anyone to try

Great service. Food was unbelievable. Burgers were massive and well worth the price. Such a lovely atmosphere and the kids got free chocolate eggs for Easter.

Went for fish and chips they had on for Easter. Portions were absolutely massive, couldn’t finish it all, absolutely beautiful. Got some to takeway for my family and they loved it aswell, said it was the best they have had in a while. Proper hand cut chips too which I loved since I hate fish shop chips. Beautiful restaurant and lovely staff, we’re so attentive!

A Hidden Gem. Beautiful food. I have been here lots of times and the food never disappoints. My favorite is the parmo and the chicken burger is delicious too. You can tell everything is prepared fresh down to the breadcrumb on the mushroom starter. I'm picky with my food and nothing is ever a problem when customising a dish. The staff are friendly, well mannered and attentative, girls ( which is rare these days). Give it a try , it's definitely worth it .

Avoid, worst food I’ve had. Looks good on photos advertised but not like that at all. Asked for a refund in return of the awful food but was denied.

First time here and we weren't disappointed. Food was delicious and fresh and very filling. Service was great, and the prices were reasonable. They now just need more customers!

Have been to Flaming Sweet 3 times now since it opened in October. Have no photos as food didn't last long enough. First meal was chicken parmo and the portion was absolutely huge. Home made chips too, totally delicious 😋 Next visit, I needed to leave room for dessert, so ordered a child's burger with fries. Had to ask when it came if it was actually a small meal, as this was also big! This time I had an ice cream sundae, it was perfect. Yesterday was my birthday, so we decided to give Sunday lunch a try. I opted for beef, as did my son (who is coeliac and needed gluten free puddings) this was not a problem, they will accommodate if you ask ahead of dining. My daughter and hubby had chicken and my daughters fiancée had lamb. Every meal was 100% delicious and we all ate the lot. Can't wait to try something else on the menu!
