Another Sunday lunch at our local We had a voucher for a free drink, and took up the offer, as always I went for a beef roast dinner, and my partner had the special signature Burger, both meals piping hot and plentiful, I had a side order of pigs in blankets, just a small grip they didn't have horseradish sauce, so I went for mint sauce, but in July was the other way round, maybe have stock of both as I love both on my beef roast :) Will always book here as its local and I like the cosy atmosphere food is always lovely and very reasonable as is the wine, full bellies and one happy couple as always.

Service was amazing and food outstanding. Gail especially was attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend this place

We visited on the 29th April Omg we absolutely loved the food, It gets better each time we eat their. The young lady behind the bar with the long blonde hair was 100% with the service, She was so polite and asked if we needed anything else and if we did just ask. We ordered 2 steaks and a mixed grill, Each steak was cooked to perfection 2 medium rare and a medium, It was hot which is how food should be. I didn’t have a pudding but my gf and mum had apple pie and custard which was nice. Everything was perfect thank you😊🌈

We visit the Amington Inn regularly, can safely say we have never had a bad experience. Food is well priced and very tasty. Staff always helpful and polite. Great for the kids when the sun is out. Can't fault this pub and staff.

We came here last night for a meal and drink and was looked after as soon as we walked in. The new menu is amazing! So many options to choose from. Laney had Nachos with Junkstar cheese (vegan) and it tasted so good! I opted for the boneless wings with the Bullseye Carolina Reaper sauce, It was insanely hot! Loved it! For Mains we had the Southern Fried Chicken and Southern State Spice Burgers, Amazing! The staff were checking in on us regularly and couldn't do enough for us! The manager and staff were very friendly and great to talk to them, We will be back again!

Tonight my fife and daughter and I had dinner at this restaurant, service at bar was great staff really nice and helpful, food came out to us in 20 minutes so all very good staff asked if all ok and did we need anything or more drinks! Very nice girl Danny, she kept an eye on our table and came over to remove empty plates quickly of which was appreciated. Great food and great service, enjoyable night, Thank you

This was my our first time visiting and this review is a bit of a mixed bag but I felt like they deserved our honest opinion. First off we were pleasantly surprised to find out you could take dogs into the pub, not in all areas but half of the bar. Which we found great, not enough places are dog friendly and so this really impressed us and we will definitely be coming back to give the place a second chance with our boy. Next is the fact that there is a pool table, we didn’t play but again this seems to be a rarity in pubs nowadays so was nice to see somewhere with a table. Onto the food, which was nice enough but portions could definitely be bigger, who don’t serve peas with a pub burger and only a small handful of chips?! But they are about average on pricing and the food was nice enough especially considering how busy they were (we’ll get onto that!) Drinks were good, nice choice of cocktails and mocktails for the kids/none drinkers and a selection of delicious milkshakes too! But the biggest saving grace of our visit and the reason for this review not being a more negative one was our waitress, Chloe, she’s a tiny young girl but by lord does she earn her wage!! So this part of the review is where it gets muddy, the night we visited it was absolutely manic, full to bursting, a 45 minute wait on food, glasses piling up on the bar. The place was chaos, mostly because their dishwasher was out of action so staff were having to wash the glasses by hand in a tiny basin. But what suprised us was the fact that there were often multiple members of staff on the bar, admittedly one was washing up, and mostly from what we saw, only one person running the whole floor for food. The whole time we were there Chloe was running round juggling the floor by herself, yet her service still always came with a smile, politeness and manners. She was apologising for the delays and taking flack from annoyed customers, yet kept a professional head. When she served our food she was very sweet (albeit a little flustered) and couldn’t do enough for us. Hence this review, we just felt she deserved a shout out for the way she handled what looked like a very stressful evening, because if that’s what she’s like on a bad night we look forward to seeing her again when we return on (hopefully) a good night! As I said we will definitely return and give the place a second chance as I assume the chaos was down to the dishwasher and sheer number of customers on that particular night. I’m hoping portion sizes are a bit better too and maybe the rush meant they were spreading the chips a little thinly to make them go further? But I’d definitely say give the place a try, take your dog along and give Chloe a tip because that girl knows what customer service is all about!!

Came for my nephews birthday staff attentive and friendly couldn’t do more for us. Mixed grill lovely chicken strips sauce lovely.

We come here a couple times a month as it is one of our locals. Food is always good, portions are very generous, staff are very helpful, and food is decently priced. On our latest visit Chloe was very friendly and helpful.

Friendly atmosphere. We were a large group with a large food order, the food came out quickly. The staff welcoming and friendly.

No glass washing machine. All glasses are being washed by hand in a small hand washing basin. Not sure if there clean as returned a pint of Stella as it was flat also lipstick on my wife’s wine glass before she even had a drink. Staff running around there was a 45 minute wait on food when it came to our table there were things missing on it. We use the Amington quite a bit whilst visiting parents in Tamworth but never had an experience quite like this one. Didn’t see any manager around to take control of a real bad situation. Let’s hope they fix the machine soon so we can enjoy our drink there again. At one stage both bar areas were full of dirty glasses surely this could be a safety issue especially in a pub.

Excellent service, attentive too with asking us if meal was okay etc. Nice food too. Steak was cooked nice too. Not too long to wait Have to say that I’ve seen sone positive charges in regards to wait time and definitely more positive customer service too since Amy has taken over as Manager. Any provides a great service at all times with a smile on her face too and it’s nice to see that the rest of the team are following her example.

Came to try the new menu and wasn’t disappointed! Really enjoyed barbecue meat sharer and my husband loved the tikka tandoori. As always staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning.

Yet again another first class meal at the Amington Inn. Great service from Amy the new manager and served our drinks by A J and Gail again first class customer service Greene King are lucky to have this team working for them as they are a credit to the Greene King name. Food always good as they have great chefs there as pub chains go highly recommend the Amington Inn good pub grub at reasonable prices. Well done all of the staff

This is the 2nd time we have visited recently. This time did not disappoint also. It was my sons 19th birthday and we requested a table where we could watch the football!. Food was lovely although 1 of the steaks was a little fatty but overall the food was lovely. The bar staff were fabulous. They were happy to bring my son birthday cake at the end of our meal with a smile and a song!. Great food atmosphere and football for the family!.thanks

First time of visiting The Amington, it was really nice inside very cosy. Plenty of tables to choose from as it was early. Once we were seated we chose what we wanted to eat, ordered our food at the bar. Food was bought to our table and looked lovely. We had steak which was cooked to perfection and the steak and ale pie. All the food was hot and we enjoyed it all. We all had a dessert and that was great. All the staff was very friendly, especially a lady called Amy, she was very helpful and she looked after us all the time we were there. We will definitely be going back

We were a table of 9 all of whom ordered various steaks and mixed grills with different cooking requirements in addition to a member of our party being a coeliac. Lucy ensured every order was not only correct but cooked to our specifications and all our meals were hot. Exceeded expectations and again Lucy was incredible. Well worth a visit if you enjoy a grill!

Visited the Amington Inn this evening, ordered 2 sirloin steaks, one medium and one medium rare. The pub was busy, we didn't have to wait long to be served. Food came about 20mins after ordering. Both steaks were cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Price was excellent, there was a special price on steaks mon -weds. We didn't know this when we booked, so was a very nice suprise. Definately worth a visit, but don't forget to book your table.

Very disappointed going by the recommendation from my cousin, most of the food we wanted was off the menu, we wanted a quiet table, was stuck in a thoroughfare table despite asking to be moved, will be be back next time we travel down from Scotland, I don’t think so
