Breakfast was burnt took ages to come the man was quite rude when I complained about the burnt food and it smells very greasy if you sit inside you will smell like grease all day maybe another day might be better but my experience was terrible never going back

Food not even edible, this was supposed to be a jacket potato with grilled cheese and mushrooms.... Not !

Met my wife from Work to go to FJ‘s in Runcorn shopping city for lunch. we ordered sausage on toast, bacon on toast with no fat on the bacon when the bacon on toast arrived, there was still a load of fat on it So I couldn’t eat it when I mentioned this when we was paying The cook/owner said he wasn’t told but my wife and I clearly heard the waitress tell him no fat on the bacon The way the cook/owner talks to his staff and his customers is completely unacceptable. Has he just dismissed it and blamed the waitress? I’m very surprised he’s got staff with the attitude he’s got

Amazing place!! The older lady with grey/blonde hair has amazing customer service and always smiley welcoming face! Tip her every time I come to this restaurant she really is a credit to the team! A pay rise is needed for this lady !🩵

I went with my mum on saturday the 29th June 2024. My mum is very ill, and is in a wheelchair. We decided to sit outside so it was easier for her so she would have some quality room. I don't know if any staff members saw us arrive, but I had to go out of my own way and move furniture around so I could get a space to put my mum so she was comfortable, this should be the staff not any customers. When we sat down there wasn't any sign saying it was table service so you don't know whether to sit and wait or go up to the counter. An older lady who worked there was okay, not great but just okay, she told me its table service so i happily went and took a seat. I ordered a bender in a bun, and my mum ordered a toasted tea cake, my mum said "do you not want chips with it?" So I said oh yes chips aswel please, i shouldn't of said that as clearly it almost sent the staff member over the edge having to add chips to the order. Soon after her cup of tea arrived, she enjoyed it, my milkshake didn't. About 5 minutes later one of the girls shouted "strawberry milkshake anyone" So i said "oh yes that would be me please love" to her surprise she came over with her face almost tripping her up. She put it down and me and my mum both grinned. My mum later said "im still hungry would you be able to grab the nice waitress which was our sarcasm because none of the waitresses were nice at all. I said to one of the Girls "hi love sorry, her reply was.. YES. Hi is it possible for my mum to get another toasted tea cake please" i really shouldnt of asked because she huffed grabbed the cheque and wrote down another tea cake. She later brought the other tea cake out and instead of removing the old plate she just placed the new onto the older plate. My mum is very ill she has a brain tumour, and all we ever want to do is go out and have a lovely time. We don't want very rude staff who dont want to be there pulling faces having attitude. Ive worked in hospitality and you can either make it the best job in the world or the worst it depends how your mind is. I understand they always have to deal with disabled people but disabled people never asked to be in a wheelchair, my mum never asked for a brain tumour which has crippled her. So my honest advice. IF YOU TRULY DONT WANT TO BE A WAITRESS THEN DO NOT WORK THERE. Its a shame because the food is always lovely, and when it used to be the wimpy it was absolutely amazing it was fun, the staff were amazing and it felt like a proper day out. Now it just feels like when we go to FJS, we cant wait to leave. We will come back one more time, but if nothing changes next time we will find someplace else.

Looking for an ideal cafe this isn’t the place. Food was diabolical honestly haven’t ate worst food in my life best part about the mega breakfast is the beans and to top it off fresh orange juice was cordial £20 for 2 plates off rubbish I wouldn’t leave a review if it wasn’t as bad as it was.

Love the breakfast in here and staff are lovely. Just been again to take fella for birthday breakfast 18/2/2024 was delicious and the staff so friendly and attentive,, highly recommended

Wow what an experience it brought back memories of an old restaurant experience, the Wimpy experience, and to find that these do various meals and breakfasts. The menu is actually on the tabletop so it's just basically look at the table and decide on what you would like, they then cook your desired meal and drink that you have selected and then give you a Pink slip which you then provide to the Cashier at the end to settle up, well its either that or get ready to do a lot of dishes lol 😆. Wow amazing staff who are happy and friendly and are willing to help with any unique requirements you may have. Thanks guys I will be back.

For my experience at FJs. A good service. Food is lovely. Cost is reasonable. My only one thought is the please could be bigger.

FJ's is a cracking cafe/restaurant and they do a very good full English breakfast at reasonable prices .

Really chill place. For anyone new that wants to eat in: Sit down and they'll take your order, it's not a counter sort of thing =). Really nice basic cafe food and lovely staff. The food came out super quick and fresh despite being a bit busy. Definitely my new regular!

Just been in to restraunt,staff where miserable and unhelpful. Friend has allergy to egg they put that on the plate when they where specifically asked not over all very poor.

Staff are always very friendly and the food is always excellent quality also a bonus that they play music whilst you eat.

Such lovely and friendly people run this cafe the food was delicious they made you feel welcome and don't Rush you the staff are friendly polite and I would highly recommend this company to all my friends and family

Chips were very greasy and very small portions for a adult meal nothing like it was when we went a few months back was very filling and tasty last time we went definitely not the same 🤦‍♀️

Sat waiting 2 b served for 10 minutes people coming in after us getting served and then went on cleaning tables despite say in I'm b wiv u now then went 2 clean another table even tho other staff was doing nothing

Food was ok, they got the order wrong, and missed food off, plus forgot one of the drinks, but what we did get was ok

Went in fjs in city and this cup they gave me to drink my tea out off took it back she said does she want it in carry out cup me head nearly fell off I said no gets till I said not paying for tea she said why so told her so she goes to original lady she says just don't charge her for it then manager old fella says why didn't you just put it in a paper cup nearly said eh look if I wanted carry out I'd have said tea to go then she says none other cups like that well why didn't you offer me a tea in clean cup or better still put it in clean cup in first place scruffy of a place serving to public like that and think it's okay won't let me post picture

Great place ... Been going for years ... burgers are best in Runcorn

Had my reservations before I went in but I was really surprised the breakfast was lovely everything was fresh and hot ! The coffee wasn't the best but it wasn't Costa prices so no complaints really ! Well done keep up the hard work 😁

Fjs used to be a wimpy and they still use almost the same menu. If you want some of that wimpy sauce goodness then get down fjs

Very friendly staff not miserable like some cafes in s city I cud mention. Very clean. Most food realy good. Lattes no good. Scrambled egg too dry and too small a portion considering it was supposed to be made with 2 eggs. But breakfast lovely.

If you are looking for a Cheap and Cheerful cafe where you can dine on a budget this is the place. Clean and tidy l had a double cheese burger meal deal which included fries and fresh orange in a large glass. Very nice it was too and the waitress was friendly and helpful.

Staff aren't very professional but food is good but again being in runcorn, its what I expect from a cafe
