Been here many times before. Its a decent pub with good ale.

Ideal for afternoon early evening meal and drinks

Always get a great friendly service at the eight towers whether we are in for a drink or a slap up Sunday roast it’s always a pleasure!

I have never been in this pub, passed by many times & always meant to, but what a lovely evening. Met with friends, we sat in the conservatory, which is a really large, airy room. It was nicely warm in the early evening sunshine. We had pre-booked a table, which I recommend doing as it got rather busy in there around 6 pm. The food was so good. My friend & I chose lasagne, which came with small, fresh salad & garlic bread slices. We both agreed it was very yummy. Our other friend had a flat bread pizza thing (sorry, such technical descriptions lol) with side salad & she also said how tasty it was. There was a good choice of food on the menu: curries, burgers, platters, pastas vegetarian etc. They catered for all dietary needs, too. You just need to let them know at the time of ordering. A member of staff came & checked dietary requirements with us again to ensure they understood what was needed. A nice touch, we thought. I never realised how large The Eight Towers is inside. There were different size tables seating 2/4/6 & family tables everywhere. Huge bar area serving all kinds of beverages, must say it was the most colourful array of drinks I've seen for a long time. Staff were helpful, polite & friendly too. The venue was lean & tidy & has a food hygiene rating of 5. It has a large car park, with a couple of disabled bays. Inside is all on one level & wheelchair friendly. Can't comment on the toilets, though. Prices are ok. I would definitely recommend a visit & we plan a return visit too.

Went for a family meal with daughter and partner they had tomato soup starters one with lasagne which she said was OK partner had a 80z steak which looked OK and I had a mixed grill which was not to a good standard as the chicken was dry gammon to over cooked and the 4oz steak was full of fat and was like leather ended up taking it home for the dog 🐕. I dont think I'll be in a rush to return unfortunately. Expected a better meal all round for £58 🙄🙄

From my veiw I enjoy the food here, but the guys I go with have said its a tad hit and miss...overall a nice little slice of Liverpool

Horrible boss who works here thinks he owns the place as me and my family came here for a few drinks tonight and we get told that by the staff they are not allowed to serve us as apparently we were drunk but we weren't being aggressive to any off the staff or anyone my mum has never ever been aggressive and my sister was tipsy she has aspergers and I have autism so I think we got discriminated by the boss

Not the pub to go to if you want to do posh, but value for money, and I can't fault the food.

Staff are friendly. Food is decent for the price. Its worth dropping in if your passing for a quick drink / bite to eat but I wouldn't plan an evening there. Edit : four meals during the summer months. All excellent,the price very reasonable. The food has really improved in recent months. Staff are great as always. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Have to update on this local pub. Had a late lunch today in here. Brilliant service food excellent. Just had fish , chips and peas as I fancied that. Hot, well cooked, good quality food. Fish absolutely tasty, beautiful white fish ,not greasy, in fact the whole meal was excellent. Such reasonable prices too. Can definitely recommend it x Local pub, friendly, good service , not a bad atmosphere and food really good, hot served well and reasonably priced. Can't go wrong for pub grub. Would definitely go back.

Another lovely visit. Meal and drinks for 6 all served with a smile, nothing was too much trouble.... recently had a birthday meal for 12 and that was the same. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Me and my work mate in pub. And 3 other people, including two bar staff . This was 8.45pm at night . Will not be going there again.

Amazing venue catered for everybody, the staff was absolutely amazing the girl that served us Liv I think it was she was brilliant with us, checked through our order throughly was excellent couldn’t of asked for better, she is an aspect to the business. You can tell she put customer service as her top priority . The food was delicious come out absolutely perfect, was one of best meals we have had in awhile. I will definitely be coming back. I couldn’t have asked for better this pub could be bring Widnes back to life with the entertainment they are doing.

Absolutely sick after Sunday dinner we just got, aunt Bessie's roast potatoes and the worst roast beef ever, chewy and with a big piece of gristle or something that put me off eating, YUK

Great atmosphere, good selection of drinks and a fantastic new menu which is really comprehensive and reasonably priced.

Looking forward to Sunday Lunch ordered Turkey......over cooked veg, turkey tough and dry, packet mash it seemed, roast pots just about eatable, gravy tasteless. Two other meals also not eaten meat pie pastry hard all taken back to kitchen. Explained our complaint to management and they did offer refund....but would have preferred a pleasant lunch time with good quality food ...did not happen.

Went on a Saturday afternoon with my family, service was brilliant bar staff and waitresses where very pleasant. Love that it's dog friendly, don't find many places that allow dogs too. But also have a option to be away from the dogs on the other side of the pub. Ordered steaks which where cooked perfectly with all the trimmings, kids food was spot on even with awkward fussy eaters, nothing was to much to ask of the staff in there. Thank you and see you again soon

Nice pint, great staff and good price

We had booked a table for 6.30pm, in the end the event that we were at finished earlier than expected so we headed there at 5.30pm, hoping they might be able to seat us but also happy to just wait in the bar if they didn’t have a table free yet. Fortunately someone was just leaving when we arrived so they cleaned the table for us and we were able to be seated. The menu looked lovely, and it was a relief that all the things we ordered was available, as some places seem to have half their menu unavailable. The food was lovely and the prices were really reasonable, especially with a 30% voucher for the food. Portion sizes are quite small, but we weren’t hungry. There was an issue with the kitchen system that meant an order for desserts didn’t go through so there was quite a wait, but once we’d spoken to the staff it came out quickly. I’ve not been since I was a child, but I’d definitely come back.

Nice staff, good food, good value

Service is absolutely terrible.. tried to order a mega mixed grill to be told you can’t have one as they don’t have any whole chicken breasts.. so I highlighted the normal mixed grill comes with a half breast.. 2 half’s make a whole dont they? Apparently they couldn’t do that.. so I said can’t I have it with a half chicken breast instead? Apparently not.. so I tried a 3rd time “with no chicken” also was met with a “computer says no” which I feel is absolutely ridiculous especially when the items to make one are there. So I proceeded to order something which I didn’t originally want..So starters arrived.. but side plates didnt! I had to wait 5mins at the bar to ask for side plates and sauce as we had got a grazer platter which arrived in 3 bowls and nothing to eat it off. Food was mediocre.. max a cheese seemed like it was out of a tin and all sloppy normally it’s baked under a grill and has a bit of a crisp to the top. Staff working were all young and didn’t seem to be on the ball, we heard a few other complaints from other tables! I’m appalled with the service received today. We have been many times and always had a good service, after this we are reluctant to return.

A fantastic pub with a great selection of classic pub food. The food tasted great and the staff were all super friendly and helpful.

We went there for a family meal and had two courses I had the Gamon steak with chips followed by the blond brownie with salted caramel and chocolate sauce it comes with icecream I was disappointed that was cold you expect it to be hot. But I really enjoyed my mains which I asked for an extra fried egg no problem. The pub it's self was very comfortable with a nice atmosphere. It was decorated nicely I think it's been recently done. The prices were reasonable I would definitely go again .

Most miserable barmaid tonight. Very argumentative about me ordering vegan pizza told me it’s not what I wasn’t possible on a vegan pizza. Usually a welcoming pub. Blondie needs to read the menu and not be so rude!

Can't belive the level of service at this place! Was looking to meet up here but as soon as we realised that it's dog friendly we stayed and the dogs were all so friendly and happy! Staff were so attentive to us and our pet friends. The quality of food and drink is second to none. Will be putting much more money behind the bar here

Service good, food average, the roast beef was as tough as an old boot. Pub interior could do with refreshing as it looks scruffy. Outside areas of the pub desperately needs overhauling.

Friendly atmosphere, Staff happy to help with any extra requirements for dietary needs. Food cooked as requested and good quality, nice menu selection. Drinks good value for money and a good variety of beers, wines and spirits.

Food was good and the servers were nice. Had a few mix ups but they were friendly and got them sorted. Was surprised to see the sexist bathroom art 😂 I thought after online slander, those types of decals would be taken down.

First time visiting and was very dissappointed. Spent around £70 to have 2/3 steaks cooked incorrecrly one being for a pregnant lady and items missing from one plate that wanted everything included in the meal. Very young staff didn’t feel the best when bringing the issues up.

Just went I for a quick drink, barman was very nice and chatty. Spacious..just nice

We were a large party for my mums birthday. We were made to feel very welcome. All drinks and food orders were correct and food was double checked with us at the point of ordering and before making it. Even though we were a big party all food was brought out together and members of staff were helpful when checking if everything was ok.

This is the 3rd year in a row weve been for xmas lunch to the 8 Towers and the food and service was excellent as per usual and very reasonably priced

The Eight Towers food is excellent, we have been here about 6 times in the last 3 mths ,the food is always piping hot and a great choice for the price ,staff are always friendly, well worth 10 out of 10 .

We had our annual Christmas Dinner, food was wonderful, staff very organised, service brought hot food, can't complain only thank them they made us all very happy. Well done from Halton Fibromyalgia Support Group. Happy 🎄🎁 Christmas.

Had a roast here a while ago not that good seams to be a pub for locals so you kinda get a stare when you walk in lol

Came here for food with my partner. The food was average. Partner ordered a medium rare steak, came out rare. The waitress who brought our food over, was extremely rude with an attitude just throwing the plates down and sliding them across the table.

steak was warm but not very good and nobody asked if I was happy with the meal, don't think I be going there again

Got a chicken and turkey roast my chicken was lovely my partners turkey on the other hand wasn't The mash Tasted like Smash The seasonal veg was two different types of peas and carrot and swede mash Probably won't come back again

this is my husband favourite restaurant so when he was 60 yesterday 27 of us had meal there the staff where fantastic and everthink they did was amazing drink where done very fast food all come out on the same time no one was sat waiting I've worked for restaurants and to do what they did was good leadership ever meal that come out was really good excellent and price is so good thank you eight towers for amazing night

Me and my Dad went to the eight towers for the first time after hearing good reviews. We waited at the bar for a good 20 minutes but the ONE bar maid served other customers first which came to bar after us because she know them. Totally disgusting we left and went somewhere else... ZERO stars if I could......

They catered well for a large group of 13 of us at lunchtime in the conservatory. Brought all food out together which was nice. A good variety available at meal prices below £10.

Food was ok nothing special, service was non existent you have to go to bar to order food, definitely had better

Your brewery practices blatant false advertising. This site states that you show premier league football when the pub clearly doesn't. We went in to watch the Chelsea v Liverpool game only to be told (after we had paid for drinks) that they don't subscrbe to sports channels. The pub was absolutely empty apart from a couple of people eating. No atmosphere whatsoever. We ended up in another local pub that did have the game on (The Crows Nest) this pub served us delicious Pizzas and burgers and was a brilliant atmosphere. In the current climate I cant see the Eight Towers being open much longer unless changes are made. We certainly wont be visiing until then.

My local, been going here for 30 years. Place has rapidly gone down hill over recent months. There is a clique atmosphere and some of the staff aren't very pleasant. Nail in the coffin for me is cancelling the sky sports subscription. No rush to go here.

Took my 2 children in for lunch and literally can't fault anything. The service and the food were outstanding, will definitely go again.

Great pub serving quality food and drink. Large outside beer garden and cosy and friendly inside. Highly recommend this pub!

Friendly and helpful, lady even made a point of coming out to find me, with a bowl of water for my dog. Always nice when people make an effort.

Great internal space, easy to find and food was really good, at a very competitive price. Think an outdoor play area of sorts would have been fantastic for little ones but on the whole a very good experience and will definitely stop again when in the area.

Meal for family of 7 all had different meals and everyone enjoyed them

The food was good, the delivery was very quick, the server was very good and caring. The only small complaint I would have is that when I tried to order, two people came to the bar after me and were served before me, then a bar person walked towards me, saw me waiting but asked two other people did they want serving before serving me. That made me think that regulars took priority over anyone else.

Friendly staff and customers, only popped in for a swift one ended up staying for a few more.
