Five Guys Manchester University Green in Manchester

It’s Five Guys, you know what you’re getting!! We were visiting Manchester for a gig and this one was on way to the venue so we popped in. Some reviews seemed to suggest it wasn’t up to scratch but we had no issues at all. It was relatively quiet (6pm on a Tuesday) and the food was made to order and with us as quickly as any other FG, and most importantly was excellent too. Absolutely class bacon cheeseburger all the way with an extra (3rd) patty for me; get in my belly. The fries are tasty too; I’m not a big fries person but the FG fries are good. Massive portions too (small one shared by two people is plenty). And if you’re feeling like going all in, then the milkshakes are also canny nice like. Yeah it can seem expensive BUT it’s so tasty!

Visited today for the first time & not only was the food extremely fresh but the customer service is the best by far. We have visited the branches all over the uk & USA & this branch wins hands down for the best customer service.

Veggie burger is just veggie no patty . Ridiculous. Never again. Horrid . Thanks for nothing

Nothing to say about the food (which is really tasty), however considering it should be a fast food I didn't expect to spend that much. Nice but overpriced

Truly aweful. The patty was stone cold, the bun was soggy and collapsed and the cheese was congealed. How on earth can they charge £45 for this rubbish. Service was based on thumping a reluctant order machine, then we had to fight through the aweful muzak to try to hear the agent casually mention our order number to his mate. If the tables were a little less greasy it would have been easier to write this review. I suggest you never, ever come here.

Well that was horrid compared to the liverpool branch.hotdog was not worth a pound let alone over 6 pound.fries were ridiculously salty. Don't recommend this branch

Granted we came at 11pm but this is genuinely the worst five guys I’ve ever visited & I’ve been to 7 different locations. Took some friends after a gig after bigging the burgers up & the food was so undercooked the cheese hadn’t even melted on the burger! If you like the taste of raw potato & cold cheese burgers head on in!

Buns were cold, just out of the fridge.

I love five guys as much as the next person, but for some reason, this place in particular, insists on overloading their fries with salt. The fry quality can vary from one of the best to simply tasting of salt. Please relax with the salt. Everything else is great though. I just had to come back and add that the fries were £6. I'm actually very sad about this.

Fantastic! It was my first time in five guys and it was superb. The food was really nice and workers are so kind, Thomas helped us and made our experience much easier, it was great!

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger. I found after taking 2 bites that the second pattie was raw.

First time today. Excellent service. Lady on the tills very very friendly and nice when serving me and my 7 year old daughter. Spacious sitting area. Our order came fast. Surprisingly it was very good. The only downside I found a little pink bit in my burger, but it didn't spoil the experience. Burgers were very good, chips a bit over salted. Portions are good sized. Toilets clean and so are the dining room area, which is a plus.

They strait up just forgot most of my order. I ordered a burger, fries and drink and only received the burger. My delivery driver when arriving asked why everything was missing and they said it wasn't on the order & refused to check for him. I will never be going to a 5 guys again. For the price, the least you can do is get an order correct.

Just had a latte, it was excellent !

not crowded. good value, spacious, gave us. a. free unlimited refill drink. clean and quiet. no hot drinks though but they said we could get one from next door Starbucks and drink it there. not many vegetarian options

Been to visit a few times, been great every time! I highly recommend a cheeseburger with fries and bacon milkshake. Burger is so much better than other fast food places

I like burgers so gave it a try. The meat & filling was better than main fastfood joints but I think it is too expensive for what it is. £4 for fries?

Good burgers and choice if free additional toppings. Good choice on drinks with unlimited refills on softdrinks. And good sekection on drinks machine. Skin on chips are good too.

Great service, first time visiting but will be back. Fries were super fresh and having peanuts to snack on as we waited was a nice touch!

Yeah i visit last night on 07/09/2023 but the manager was to rude and so racist so that why i do not prefer the place otherwise the food is good😊.

Extremely expensive!! Very small portions. The only thing people compliment the portion on is the fries, which have skin on. The staff were professional the food is stupidly expensive. £9.95 for a small burger. Burger King is approx £7 for a huge double whopper, and tastes so much better. Will NEVER use five guys again

I visit this branch regularly, the food and service is completely perfect as of other branches in the US. The seating area is spacious and not busy usually.

Price is really REALLY high for burger place.

Ich würde fast sagen typisch Fast Food aber da würde ich ein Fehler machen. Die Jungs machen BURGER! Es gibt nur 2 Burger aber nicht falsch verstehen man kann sie mit Toppings zu seinem Burger machen. Cooles Konzept , war lecker. Selbst der Hot Dog obwohl es in England keine richtige Wurst gibt.

five guys is a rarity for me as I don't live near one and it's expensive but it's tasty! and the chip portion is so big it's so worth the money, I love the freestyle machine but when I visited it wasn't working and the only drinks available were bottles of Dr pepper (freestyle machines are both amazing and the worst, I work with them so I understand the troubles they can cause aha) but staff were friendly !!!

Absolutely shocking. Our first time experience and last. The burgers weren't nice, the fries not the best. Messed both our burger orders up with what we wanted on them, the relish, salad etc. A cheese burger served with no cheese!! . Shocked really because of the amount of money you have to pay for the food. Burger king is far better to be honest.

I sat in here to kill some time, not wanting to sit out in a storm. It felt, as most 5 guys do, like a particularly greasy public bathroom. Just get a burger and fries somewhere else. 5 guys is nothing special.

Visiting Manchester at the moment, and thought I would go somewhere familiar. The staff were friendly and patient with me even though I was having some card troubles (international card) and the service was quick. Clean and plenty of places to sit.

Great place good food and service. Precautions are in place during this time and it looks safe.

Food was very disappointing for the price. It was my first visit to a Five Guys. Tables were messy so difficult to find somewhere clean to sit. Don't think I will be in a rush to visit one again.

The staff is unfriendly, and the bacon milkshake is horrible, there are all big piece of bacon which is not blended into the milkshake.

Bit expensive but very tasty and always greeted with a smile. Staff are genuine and polite

Generic burger affair. Limited menu. Burger + cheese + bacon [small/regular]. Plus choice of various toppings. Peanut allergy warning. Roasted Peanuts available for free at serving counter and chips fried in peanut oil. Little thought in presentation as burger served squashed in aluminium foil. Chips excellent value as single large portion enough for 3 adults.

The chips here are just the best I can imagine chips being. 10/10 big portion, perfectly salted. I can imagine a better burger than what I had however maybe I just had the wrong toppings. Overall not bad, tasty patty, soft bun good taste. VERY filling. 8/10 Milkshake (again) is peak. I can't imagine a milkshake being much better. Soft and sweet, but not sickly. 10/10 (could have done with less whipped cream and more milkshake tho) Service from staff was great, very friendly, especially if you haven't been to 5 guys, they did give good and relevant recommendations. 10/10

Best fries ever big portions as well

The food is average. Portions too small for the price they charge, over £5 for this tiny milkshake!! Almost £10 for this burger!! I was very disappointed when it arrived. Will not be ordering again.

Mixed performance. I had best chips ever here. Crispy, peanut notes, but few times bad ones. Soft and not much taste. Burgers are fine
