It's five guys, what else do you want to know??? It's a chain and so it does as chains do. P.s they give you way less fries now, but a meal still costs the best part of 20 quid...

Pretty good. Not busy. The burgers are great.

Food is generally amazing bar the fries. The beef is quality in both taste & flavour the oil used is perfect for the meat. The hotdog is very tasty I expected something like Jolliebees hotdogs which tasted like gone off corned beef but no I was pleasantly surprised. Cheese slices were sensational you could really taste the creamy cheese with the burger I’ve never had cheese that good at least in a long time. My only negative is the fries partly because they tasted great & are fresh. While I can understand the “boardwalk” style is something Five Guys does I was pretty surprised by the fact you couldn’t choose regular fries with all the skin off. For me the taste of skin on wasn’t bad but it’s far better without & the parts of the fries that had no skin were delicious & some of the best so you can imagine my annoyance at how you have one of the tastiest & softest fries out there & one simple decision has effectively limited or cut off a portion of your customers. It’s made more difficult by the fact five guys only does beef burgers, hot dogs & some grilled cheese or veggie burgers all of which aren’t really substitutes for regular skin off fries. That’s my only gripe & it’s a semi big negative because of how good the fries are if the fries were awful it wouldn’t have even been a big negative.

Managed to stay on my keto way of eating by ordering a tray of cheese and bacon burger. It came on a bed of lettuce and requested veg. Good food

35 minute wait time for food, no apology from staff, wasn’t particularly busy. Better off going to Burger King which is 200 metres away and much cheaper.

Fácilmente la peor hamburguesa que he probado en mucho tiempo. Era una hamburguesa de queso con tocino, al menos el tocino estaba crujiente pero el queso era insípido y la hamburguesa sabía a grasa insípida que goteaba. La presentación es pobre, envuelto en papel plateado y el ambiente era como una lavandería - sin alma. El precio era demasiado alto para lo que era una oferta muy pobre.

Amazing food and really tasty. It's expensive for what it is. I would go back but unfortunately it wouldn't be regularly because of the price.

Driver was lovely, would tip if that were on option post order. Food was wrong though as my burger contained cheese when it shouldn't have.

The burger had no taste to it and the chips were cold

Food, service and staff were 1st class, can't fault it. The eating area was very cold to the point of being uncomfortable.

The hotdog was missing from the order. Was for my kid so had to reorder again.

Was told would be 30 mins then went to 45 mins then 1 hr and then 2 hrs it took to process the order and deliver the food. Chips were lukewarm had to be reheated.

Waited a little while for food when there was a nearly empty restaurant, more than I would expect for a fast food restaurant and definitely much longer than I have experienced in other five guys chain restaurants. The atmosphere at the Newport road branch isn't of the same standard elsewhere, the table and chairs are a little tatty and it is quite a small restaurant. The food however is very tasty, the same standard as other five guys restaurants, although on the pricier side - priced more at a restaurant meal rather than fast food. Recommend the cheeseburger with bacon and the chips are very tasty, cooked in peanut oil.

My god its expensive but it was excellent - £34 with shared regular chips and drink. The cajun fries were banging! Don't bother adding bacon as its rock hard crispy streaky bacon which is unsmoked and tasteless.

Good quality food but at a price way higher than Burger King which also offers good quality. Drinks are expensive but refillable. Chips are way overpriced. For the price you pay you get an order number shouted at and you have to get your food. Be nice to have food delivered on a tray to your table for over £20 food. Music way too loud.

Favourite place to go, the hot dogs are my favourite. Wish they had one closer to where I live! It is on the more expensive side but the taste and quality is worth it. Milkshakes are real thick and perfect, chips taste homemade. Highly recommend.

Can't fault it. Nice burgers, fresh ingredients. Loads of fries. One regular is more than enough for two people.

Visit here every 2 weeks or so. Absolutely fantastic food. The Beefy Boys & Five Guys are the only burger joints I eat at now, no comparison.

Bit pricing but the food is great

Missing item, rung the restaurant who simply blamed the driver which they have done before. This service is so flawed, five guys customer service was awful and justeat only refund a small portion and never offer any compensation.

Very surprised that five guys dropped the ball. Burnt taste of chips- must have been the oil.

I ordered, amongst several items, three hotdogs with different toppings and received three plain hotdogs. I tried to call the restaurant and courier back immediately, neither answered. I complained to just eat who won’t do anything about it. Extremely poor customer service and very disappointed.

Hardly any fries, totally unlike Five Guys where they usually scoop another load in the bag. Got seven straws for - 2 drinks! And 3 sachets of ketchup I didn’t ask for - but only 2 mayos that I did ask for?!

Food is very good, especially the french fries

Our order never turned up at all! We gave the driver our address 4-5 times, he told us he was outside and was not. By this time food was already 2 hours late. I then tried to call him and it went straight to voicemail. I tried to call him a further 3 times and only getting voice mails. In the end we gave up and just decided to wait. Now it the app it says food was delivered and it never was. I have proof of the map “not working”, but actually I think the driver turned his phone off!

Sub par burger. Dry and lacking in taste

I tried FG for the 1st time. Newport Road branch was clean, staff was very friendly and professional. Burgers were really good, but fries overcooked and burned slightly.

The cleanliness of tables and the floor were not good at all. I wouldn't eat in again. This aside the food was great, the staff were working very hard behind the line and turning out great food and till service.

Stopped in after climbing, had a cheese dog and shared a large fries. The portion sizes on the fries are massive so I’d highly recommend sharing them if possible. The drinks are refillable (apart from milkshakes), but the milkshakes are well worth the extra. You can choose as many toppings as you like for food and as many ingredients as you like for the milkshakes. There’s lots of seating and a good-sized car park too. It can be expensive, but don’t fall into the trap of thinking it’s ‘just like McDonald’s’, it’s more like a restaurant than fast food like McDonald’s.

Wrong food delivered. Second time this has happened from this five guys. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be ordering from here again. Get refunded my one food that is wrong but no delivery every refund even though the order is completely wrong

Missing the milkshake I ordered

Despite the driver being at the store early, my order was late. The fries were soggy even though they were hot (and the portion wasn't on par with previous orders either). Although the burger was good, I had asked for sauce which wasn't included.

This place is actually a joke! 9 out of 10 times they do not put the sauces in the burgers, milkshakes very often not mixed. I ordered delivery and for the milionth time no sauces in the burgers. Thats extremely irritating. Have went to their contact us page to raise this, because honestly this happens all the time and it is stating for delivery orders they wont even respond 😂 Yeah, its not a problem with the delivery tho, but with your staff!

Visited Five Guys for a cheeseburger and fries, and I was really pleased with my meal. The cheeseburger was great—juicy beef patties, fresh toppings, and melted cheese that tasted fresh and full of flavour. The fries were just as good. They were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a nice amount of seasoning. Plus, they give you a really generous portion, which is always a nice bonus!! The staff were super friendly and quick and I'll definitely be back for more!

Not up to usual five guys standard where the food comes in. The burgers were thicker than normal five guys, the chips were over cooked ( to the point of some were burnt ), the drinks were watery. That being said the service was excellent.

Very friendly staff and the food always tastes amazing. We've been here around 6 times now and every time has been great. We have never had an issue with this store. It is always clean, always lovely food and the staff are always incredibly friendly and happy to help

Good burgers, fries etc., but very expensive compared to the competition.

We like Five Guys very much. They have by far the best burgers out of the fast food chains. However, my opinion of Five Guys has been tarnished by Just Eat. Three of us in the office fancied a burger. I ordered and paid for three burgers through Just Eat. I specified the toppings on my order, and Just Eat sent an order confirmation. We received an order an hour later, but it must have been someone else's order, as it included only two burgers, and neither of them were what we ordered. Furthermore, as they were 40 minutes late (and 40 minutes after they had been made), they were stone cold, and pretty sad burgers without any of the toppings we ordered. I called Five Guys, who said this was due to Just Eat, so I don't really blame Five Guys. However, Just Eat has refused to help, even if missing items should be pretty simple to refund. Just Eat have acted unfairly and illegally, and the whole experience has damaged the reputation of Five Guys through no fault of their own. Meanwhile, Just Eat is refusing to do anything, which I cannot understand, when Five Guys have admitted that my order is not what was delivered. It is wrong that three of us have all paid for burgers, and one of us received nothing, and Just Eat does not care. This damages the sales of Five Guys too. Completely Unacceptable.

delivery bag was so greasy that all the food fell through it whilst taking delivery! burgers salvageable but chips are a a write off and the mess on the floor is really taking the edge off the convenience of having food delivered!

Forgot a burger & chips, so had to drive to the restaurant to pick them up. So what is the point of just eat?

The restaurant is quite expensive and the food was not well-cooked. However, it boasts spacious hall and parking is readily available. Additionally, they offer free refills.

Always amazing fresh food from five guys. First time I've been to the Newport road store and didn't disappoint. Great service, food and nice and clean.. love the drinks selection as always.. extra cheese and onions on the burger always goes down well too 👌👌👌👌👌

Ordered a collection for 2 people. When we arrived it wasn’t ready so I got given a cup for a drink while I waited - and that amounted to a free one, given we hadn’t included one on our order. Burgers were great as ever: juicy, a good size, well dressed according to our preferences. We had one large chips to share, and as usually it was more than enough, even after sharing a few with the dog too. I’d like to prefer independent burger places in Cardiff, like Got Beef, but I just don’t. Five Guys is perhaps my favourite chain restaurant.

I have not received part of my order! This has happened multiple times and Im unhappy with the service!!!! I would like my money back!!

I always enjoy eating at Five Guys and this branch didn't disappoint. Visited with friends who had never eaten at a Five Guys before. Once they got over the cost (it's not a cheap burger), then the amount of fries (order less than you think) they moved on to how good the food was. My burger was amazing as was the banana milkshake. Just be careful ordering the fries, they give you loads.

I think this is now the best 5 guys in Cardiff. Burgers are well made and constructed, it’s not overcrowded and clean here.

My family dine in today at evening, delicious food. I ask one staff to refill the ketchup and she(think she is an asian staff) immediately bring to back and refill that. Exvellent service.

I had never been to this place. Wow 😳😳 it was lovely. I loved the food, the peanuts, the drinks!.Everything was perfect. It wasn't busy yet so we had the best of everything. Superb!!
