Gotta say that these are the best fish and chips I've had in a long time.

the food that we got was lovely we only wanted to snack on something and the chips we got went around four people.

Amazing chippy which is convenient for the beach. Chips are cooked to perfection. Cod is a great size portion.

Fantastic quality, superb service, cannot fault, the kebabs were of a really good quality, succulent, large with a huge salad. There was infact so much food there was food left over for lunch the next day. Would highly recommend this establishment, certainly one of the best kebabs we've had in a long while

WOW! Just had a chicken shush and a lamb donner, omg they tasted amazing** Proper chip shop chips made it great. Only down bit was that I asked for garlic sauce, and got mint. But it tasted nice with it.

Nice fresh fish and chips. It’s unusual to find a fish shop that uses decent salt not the low sodium stuff… also proper vinegar selection. Friendly attentive staff, 100% ild go back been here a few times always decent.

Friendly staff and food was cooked to order meaning still piping hot when walked 15 mins back to the caravan park.

Age 57 After growing up in north london and growing up with kebabs i thought i would never have my craving satisfied Try this shop they have it bang on Brilliant kebabs

If I could give them less stars I would worst service ever. Wouldnt even give us tissue with our food and we had kids. Very rude and will never go back again

Absolutely terrible. They could not run a bath let alone a take away. 2 burgers and chips took an hour. The whole restaurant was full with people waiting over an hour each for food, their staff did not know what they were doing. Food was rubbish as well. Do yourself a favour and don’t bother going there.

Disgusting worst place to eat and the people are rude

We were there on the 7th Sept, bought Large & small Cod and chips, excellent crispy coated fish in butter, fresh and tasty, chips were also excellent, Great value and friendly staff, we also enjoyed sitting by the sea enjoying our take away, Will try their Kebabs next time... will surely visit again..

Here for weekend and 1st time coming here and it was the best fish and chips i’ve ever tasted. Bantered with the staff who were lovely and owner who said he’d been cooking here for last 20 years and it showed .. proper nice Thank you 🙂

Visited this place for the first time and it was a good experience. Food was cooked well, with quality meat and batter was clean. Plenty of seating inside and some outside to enjoy the weather and prices are reasonable vs. Portion sizes! Well worth visiting when in the area.

Awesome food and great prices. Offers a lot of choice for food and drink, with options of sauces. The staff are friendly and helpful and our food was freshly cooked.

Spent the day in Walton with the family, 5 adults and 3 kids (2 older early teens, one younger 6) Spent nearly £100 as we are all big eaters and a few of us to feed. Ordered at 5, the shop seemed quiet which was really nice (but this was probably due to bad weather and the coronation) service was great, the guys were really friendly. Food was all made to order and piping hot. We got large cod, nuggets, a kebab and a whole load of other bits, so between all of us sampled a good variety of the menu. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I had fish and a small chicken kebab (chicken shish) and both were really tasty, chicken tasted lovely and cooked perfect and tender. Fish was really clean, not dripping in oil and batter was crisp and delicious. All in all I'd say it was all really nice and good value too, I'd recommend them as a great place to grab a bite to eat, great value and service with a very tasty outcome. Order was also ready in 15mins which I thought was pretty impressive as only 2 guys were there and was a lot of food to order at once and have ready so fast. Thanks for the great food! See you again next time we visit!

An ok fish and chip shop. Nothing bad but nothing brilliant. Close enough to walk to from Naze Marine park.

Food was nice and hit. Good taste and good quality. Could have done with a bigger portion for the cost but that probably goes for a lot these days with the inflation rocketing.

We were eating fish and chips at this place yesterday, and both were very oily and did not taste good. Since 4am today my wife and both children are very sick with diarrhoea and vomiting. They cannot drink even water without running to toilet. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Went here on a random lunch visit with a few others and it was surprisingly decent.

Although it was edible it was far from the best fish and chips we have had..You could tell both the fish and chips had been sitting in the cabinet for a while and was quite dry..They were fairly busy and perhaps that's why..We ate literally as we were very hungry after a day on the beach .

Cash only, half the customers in the queue were being sent to the cash machine at Co-op! Most people managed to figure out the queue/order/pay at the back and collect at the front though. Chips were good, fish and sausage was fine, Fish had skin on which the kids aren't a fan of. They also charge 10p per tiny sachet of ketchup so you have to estimate usage carefully in advance and packaging volume is high. Finally, fairly unusual these days but they still use polystyrene trays which can't be recycled. Cardboard or compostable would be much better.

Chips and battered sausage was the order and could save the worlds oil crisis, it was flooded with oil and made us feel sick after would not recommend it for fish and chips.

Took a long time to serve. Batter was soggy and the fish didn't seem to me fresh. Chips were OK. There is too much on the menu including kebabs and pizza for this to be able to supply fresh fish and chips. Disappointing.

The staff is not customer friendly specially one man is rude. Food is average for the price. The fish was dripping with loads of oil in the box. If you want better experience do next door to Beach bar & grill. Lovely food and customer service. They won't charge you for sauces either.

Chips were very stale, tasted like they'd been cooked 2 hours ago. Had to wait quite a long time for my food, didn't really understand why as I could see everything I'd ordered sitting there ready and everyone seemed to be standing around not doing much. Found the staff grumpy, the guy who gave me my food didn't believe I'd purchased 2 ketchup sachets, as they had not been written on the order!

Food was amazing, first time here as we came 2.5 hrs away and needed halal food. Definitely recommend these guys my kids really enjoyed it too.

Overcooked dry fish, full of bones. Chips were tough and chewy like they'd been reheated and full of grey bits and black eyes. And that was all after waiting for around 10 mins. Don't bother going there.

Great, Covid-19 organized, friendly service. Absolutely gorgeous food and cold drinks sold. My standard-size Cod and Chips was AmaZinG! And Scampi, Nuggets and Pie were great for the rest of the family. Would go there again next time, for sure. Thoroughly recommend them! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Limited menu, slow service but the food we did have was nice.

Clean fast and efficient on a hot sunny day. Queuing out the door but with a ticket system in place it worked really well. The food was superb and I would definitely recommend.

Two quid for a small bottle of coke.Seriously?You're having a laugh.If I couldn't have been bothered to walk all the way down the High St to the shops then I'd have walked out there & then.This is nothing short of daylight robbery. Go to the Naze Fish & Chips takeaway next door where at least you won't feel you've had your pants pulled down & robbed of your hard earned money.Stay away.

Terrific freshly-cooked cod and genuinely delicious chips - not a ridiculously huge portion, but plenty.

Had battered cod & chips. Cod was a little too greasy for me but great to be able to cross road & sit on the beach to eat.

Ordered this evening the Savaloy was rock hard the chips hard and we didn’t like the gritty kebab wouldn’t order again the delivery was quick though

It was open. It was covid safe and the food was tasty

Had a Special Lamb Shish and it was delicious!! The Chilli Sauce was very nice and had a real kick to it and loved the grilled tomato and onions on the kebab.

Everything is cooked to order (maybe the time of year). We chose it because there were 3 places in a row serving fish and chips but the other 2 were empty. Worth the wait. Fresh and hot.

Huge portions, lovely sea view and tasty fish and chips. You don’t get sauces (ketchup, tartar), you have to buy a small packet for 10p. You have to buy the fish and the chips separately.

Only brought 5 portions of chips today and can honestly say..there the best chips I've ever had, no black bits...fresh and hot ..big portion..tasty.. clean inside and out ,i am in my 60s and have eaten alot of chips in my time..if I go back to WOTNaze I will be definitely go there again . This was our first visit to some of Essex's seaside towns and we ended up in Walton on the Naze looking for somewhere to eat. Fantastic sandy beach and fantastic fish and chips to match. In fact, probably the best fish and chips I've ever had at the seaside. Freshly cooked haddock with a crisp but light batter and double-fried chips (if I'm not mistaken). Nice service as well on a really hot day. Full marks, then, to the team.

Came from London for a nice day out and stumbled across these guys. The staff here were wonderful and very friendly. Food was absolutely perfect even compared to majority places in London. Will definitely recommend everyone to eat here. I hope to eat here again everytime I'm near.
