Amazing Chippy always enjoy the consistent smiles and quality food. I pass 2 chippys on the way to Philips because they are not the real deal. Hope business continues to go well. Today I grabbed a Milkshake with my haddock, scampi and chips order, which was really tasty, really rich and full of flavour.

Phillip’s Chippy helped show their appreciation for the carers at Kenton Lodge and helped the residents celebrate the 75th VE Day by providing them all with a very a British dish of fish and chips. All because he wanted to help. I will be showing my support for this chippy’s amazing gesture by telling everyone I know what he did. Oh and going and buying some when I can 👍🏻

Phil's Chippy, a great fish and chip shop. Now run by Phil's son Andrew. A very clean well run chip shop serving a multiplicity of meals, pies of all descriptions, fish, black pudding, haggis chicken, sausage, specials, several curry or other sauces. along with peas or beans.Also caters for children by serving Children's Meals in a box. Well recommended.

Yeah. This is well worth a visit. It is take away only and be prepared to wait. Everything is fresh and the cleanliness and hygiene is outstanding as is the food. On a par with Walkden Fish Bar but not quite but it would be unfair not to rate it 5*. Had some good meals from here and a chip barm is a must if you are passing in the afternoon. Recommended, highly. People come from all over to get food here. And once you have been you will know what all the fuss is about.

Great food...always freshly made and high quality ingredients. just wished you stayed open a bit later during the week.

This is the best chip shop in the area, and my regular. The fish is really good and they do winter or summer offers which is a small fish and chip barm with optional peas all for £2.50. looking forward to my next visit

Loved their Fish & Chips. Then it went Wrong, Went for Fish & Chips Thursday. really looking forward to eating at home. Then I opened the box to find, well just check the picture I put on. I messaged which they read and I never got a reply back. I used to think it was the Best, Not sure what went wrong. Check my pictures out

Phil's Chippy is certainly one of, if not the best in the area. Run mainly by Andrew as Phil is now at retirement age. Staff are very courteous to all concerned. Fish and chips are a delightful meal cooked with care and attention so as to be perfect, and are complemented by a good selection of pies, chicken, etc. along with curries and gravy. Definitely needs to be visited.

Proper decent english chippy. Excellent value for money too. Such a shame there decent parking around here.

What can i say, Phillip's English chippy is Clean, fresh, well priced. Good variety of foods. Staff friendly. Never had a bad meal from here.

On the whole the food is very good except the chips they need to be left in the friar a bit longer to crisp them up they end up a pile of mash and not the golden crisp they should be the staff are clean and very polite the shop is spotless it's just the chips lets it down
