Fish Chips in Leicester

I only buy chips, these are better than most round here

I like to eat in this chip shop once a week. Not many in Leicester where you can eat in. The food is lovely, fish is always cooked from fresh. The two ladies are very nice and polite they try to guess what I'm going to order because I'm a regular Lol! If i can't get in for any reason they say they've been worried about me, bless them. Thoroughly recommend.

Chips were fine but portions are tiny, for £3 at other chippies, you'll get double the amount

Served up hot and fresh. We all enjoyed our food.. just under £20 for 3 meals, no drinks inc. The venue was ok, pretty basic. It has a lot of room for improvement on the decoration. I scored my food at a 7/10. It came out slow, and the staff seemed laid back in general. I'd return.

Really nice hot cooked to perfection chips Can recommend a Chip Cob for £3 and the kids meal Sausage and Chips with Mushy Peas/ Baked Beans had mine with a blue cup drink for £2.20 with variations. Clean, Polite service.

The woman that served us was so unhygienic, she picked up the raw chicken, didn’t wash her hands and then without washing her hands gave us change from the cash register. we had to pay with cash. This put us off so much, that we didn’t even eat, we left without eating, didn’t get a refund of £17. Which went down the drain. Why is there no health and safety, there is no hygiene, it’s revolting. Waste of money and No food as nobody wants to see that happen. I was so shocked I just walked out didn’t even ask for my money.

Excellent traditional chip shop. One of the few places I've been able to find a pineapple fritter!

Visit about every other month to catch up with a friend. Lovely chippy lunch and a mug of tea.

These were delicious especially as they are cooked fresh to order.

The lady that serves, (she has strawberry blonde hair) is lovely and polite to her customers. Shop floor is reasonably clean customer side of the counter. This is a large fish and a small chips. (Pics added) £8.70 I found to be a really good portion sizes. However the fish was in need of draining better before wrapping up to take away, as it was quite greasy when I got home. But the fish inside was perfectly cooked, and as you can see the batter was perfect. Chips are lovely too.

Went in for a kebab and chip meal I ordered was microwaved both of the meats were... in the plastic container. Never seen that before. I asked for garlic mayo and chilli sauce... got back to eat and there was only garlic mayo... seemed like the one girl serving was taking on too many orders without sorting the immediate orders. And with the salad there wasn't any chilli... what chip shop doesn't give you a little yellow chilli with the salad lol. Its a no from me. Ill stick to mcdonalds or subway. Thanks

I went in at lunch time and, needless to say, it was a busy one! However that did not stop the staff from working hard to give great service! I ordered a small fish and chips to go, which was cooked to order (so as fresh as you like), and took minimal time to fry. The whole experience took less than 6 minutes. The staff member on counter was friendly and helpful with letting my know choice and prices. She seemed to be able to handle pressure well too, as it was busy with it being lunch time. The prices are fair considering the rising fish prices which are crazy at the moment! The cleanliness of the shop itself was spot on even with it being a decent size, so hats off for keeping it clean even with how busy it seemed to get. All in all I'm not disappointed! 5 stars, no less! Thanks, will be back for sure 👍🏻

Me and my dad try to go here once a week, we live in Anstey village with 2 chip shops but they are rank! the fish & chips here are fresh, perfectly cooked, delicious and plentiful! the girls serving are very jolly, polite and helpful. In mine and my father's opinion this is the best chip shop for miles!

Went back here after 15 years of Leaving Leicester and its still amazing

Do not go here! The food is extremely poor quality. 1. Fresh cooked fish tasted of nothing 2. The batter was an anaemic yellow 3. mushy peas tasted like eating baking flour 4. vinegar tasted like it was watered down 5. Staff were lovely food was poor Feedback from - 4th Jan 2022

Been many times chips hot ,been twice on two different accations, chips warm and dry fish cake burnt won't go gain

I wish I could give 0 stars, the staff member is extremely rude and in one word racist! Made me wait around 30 minutes and two people ordered after us they’ve been served right away. I was at the edge to leave before being served. Disgusting

Decent chippy, would go again. Have a great selection to choose from, also have the room for eating in which is a great option. Sits right on the edge of a big free carpark. This chippy is part of a large shopping centre, and sits next to a mcdonalds and a subway so choice for everyone.

Good friendly staff and nice food and good prices

Good quality chip shop. Variety of items available from traditional fish and chips to kebabs and wraps. Decently priced and decent service. Would recommend if you're after a quick bite to take out.

Seen these reuse the piece of fish a customer just brought bk due to being to greasy just put bk in for resale in the top of the fryer an that put me off I asked for a refund an walked away.dont even deserve a 1 star

BML Chippy is a steady Eddie for me. Today's food was lovely. Portion sizes right. I dare say the rent in the shop is expensive which means it's not the cheapest chippy around. But for a sit in meal it's always nice and the girl behind the counter is always pleasant. We go alot and I don't ever recall having a bad meal. At least it's proper food. Not the healthiest I grant you. But better than its neighbours.

One of the good fish and chips in my area. Took a takeaway. Service is good and really enjoyed the fish and chips and also Scampi. Remember it is cash only here and there is an ATM very close by

Food tastes OK, it's just not all served at once, very expensive to eat in, cheaper to go McDonald's next door. The place is very dirty, the salt and vinegar bottles are covered in dirt, the tables are dirty and nobody can be bothered to clear the tables which is incouraging flies. There are not many customers coming in, it's empty.

Staff are nice but they dont accept card.
