I usually get Salt and Pepper Chips (so not the biggest order) but they're really well made. The gravy tub is really large, would recommend. Staff are sound also.

Very disappointed. Ordered a takeaway last night. Firstly, the prices had increased by quite a bit. It took an hour and a half to arrive and when it did arrive it was cold and part of the order was missing. They said they would send the missing item, but it never arrived. When we phoned today to complain, they really did not seem bothered at all. Our orders are usually in the region of £40 every time, but we will now be taking our custom elsewhere!!

Chorlton based resident who orders a variety of cuisine. I try to support all local business and chorlton doesn't offer any Chinese option's. Neither does Didsbury, here we are again, a simple order and delivery plus one hour.

Not a Chinese takeaway fan usually, prefer to sit in a restaurant. But we had a delivery last weekend. The service was brilliant and came early. We had various dishes , squid, har kau , three types of spring roll, salt n pepper wings and chips, fillet steak Cantonese, sweet and sour chicken. Have to say it was really good and loads for 4 of us, we ended up having leftovers next day.

Si se hubiera utilizado el protocolo de distanciamiento social, donde se colocó la caja en el umbral de la puerta, esto no habría sucedido. First Wok nunca deja de ser sorprendente. La comida siempre es excelente y la entrega llega rápido. Un cliente habitual feliz.

Este chino es el mejor chino en chorlton. No es muy auténtico, pero para algunos platos es realmente agradable. ¿Pero pedirías una comida china para llevar si quisieras comida realmente auténtica? Solíamos usar The Chus en Northenden, pero luego obtuvieron nuevos propietarios, así que pensamos en probar Chorlton. Habíamos probado el primer wok hace años, creo que ahora es mucho mejor. I use this place standard for Chinese takeaways best one after trying several on just eat, the foods good portions are large and delivery fast maybe it has different owners since the old reviews as the food is nice or I wouldn't take the time to review it.

Damn good this had a fab mixed starter then char sui with peppers and black bean sauce. Top class.

Nice food, good selection prices are decent as are the portion sizes. I haven't been to another chinese since trying this one and it's got a 5 star hygiene rating.

We ordered a takeaway from there because the one over the road was closed (golden star). It was the worst food I've ever had from a takeaway, the rice was like mashed potatoes and the chips were frozen and the soup was disgusting, I've lived in chorlton all my life and that chippy has never been great. Don't waste your money

Ordered food at 6:20pm & it didn't come til gone 10 at night. Tried to ring the restaurant at least 40 times to see where my order was & the phone line was dead. Appalling service, avoid this place.

Food quality was appalling and it took 80 minutes to be delivered. First and last time I will try first wok.

So after having waited an extra 15 minutes I decided to ring, sufficed to say they didn't really know how long it would be, when I asked for an avarage time he said and extra 20 mins, so I waited an extra 20 minutes and to no surprise nothing, in the end the food was 50 minutes late, some barely warm and with no apology or some compansation for having to wait for so long.

Beef dish was inedible. Odd texture and red in the middle. Didn't dare eat it.

This is the worst take away I have ever had. Delivery time took 1 hour and 30 minutes (I live up the road). The food quality was disgusting. Not only did I have to wait and hour and a half for food when I got it, I couldn't eat it due to the quality of the food. Would highly recommend no one to ever order from here.

Also while I'm at it may as well mention the fact the chips were rubbish could've done a better job myself waited 2 hours to eat something I didn't like fab

Usual high standard of delicious food, although, on this occasion the beef was slightly tough and the seaweed was slightly over cooked. Otherwise perfection.

I'm a mug for going back to this place. Dishonest people. I keep demanding for the crispy beef to be made fresh...I get home to the usual...yes sir, ''always fresh''. It's about as fresh as grotbags' clack. Avoid.

Still the best Chinese food in Manchester. I tried the Peking Hot & Sour soup for the first time and it will now be on my favourites list. All food was piping hot, not greasy and really tasty. Salt and Pepper tofu a bit too salty but still delicious.

Delivery was almost an hour late (it was a Friday in all fairness) and when I called he did tell me they were really busy and apologised repeatedly. I've been ordering from here for three years and that was a first. I'll let them off for that reason. The fried rice, as always, was spot on.

the crispy 'duck' was actually chicken. duck meat is not white. I'm never ordering from this place again and they should be shut down for illegally selling different meat to what has been advertised

Been ordering here for 3yrs. My fiancé's chicken fried rice was nice, as usual. Decided to try beef chow mein with dry noodles. Yuck.. noodles were rock hard, not cooked. Slimy thick sauce, meat pieces were just huge.. Called to complain, man very rude, told me that's how it's made?!?! After much deliberation, agreed to swap it for another chicken fried rice (telling me nine times that he wants the ENTIRE dish back, uneaten) he can have all of his nasty dish back. My tip, don't try anything new, stick to what you know. I'll order again, only rice dishes

I did not enjoy the salt and pepper ribs....more like some sort of crunchy coated rib....very fatty and very little meat ....delivery time was quick but not good quality ribs for the money.

Honestly, give it a miss. Food has gone downhill. Nothing seems fresh. Owners don't speak any English.

Nice Valentines treat for the Mrs, Chicken and Sweetcorn soup is a meal on its own, nice and full of flavour. We order regular from here and I think it's gone up about £5 in ten years, so 50p a year is nothing. 10/10

This was a disaster! The duck was over cooked to the extent it was hard, with no flavour. The spring rolls were just floppy and the noodles didn't last right, we put it in the bin. I also put very specific delivery instructions as my flat is hard to find but that was ignored, like it was last time. I won't be ordering from here again. And the hoisin sauce was missing from the aromatic duck!!

I got told that my takeaway was being delivered at 11:55pm, I put on the delivery note for the driver to call me when he was outside as I live in student halls so will have to come down for it and I haven't had a phone call and my phone was not delivered. I called the shop and they assured me that my food was on the way but it now says that it has been delivered but it hasn't and now the shop is closed and I cannot get into contact with them.

As always the food is beautifully cooked and full of flavour. This is the best Chinese takeaway in South Manchester which is why return time after time.

Ordered for a 7pm delivery about an hour before hand. I was still travelling home. Thankfurlly I got home quicker than I had anticipated, as they were waiting at my door half an hour before I had asked for delivery! All the same, the food was excellently prepared, and tasting. Would certainly recommend this take away and specifically this dish!

food tasted pretty bad, veg was old and chicken was chewy, ordered here for many years but this time has been the last straw. It has steadily declined over the last year and unfortunately I will not be ordering again. The person I spoke to on the phone about my bad order was very rude and unhelpful, hanging up the phone when i told him my order wasn't good.

THE SPICY CHILLI CHICKEN NOODLE DISH WAS VERY NICE AND TASTY. THE HOUSE SPECIAL WITH MUSHROOM (I HAD NO FISH AS REQUESTED) WAS OK BUT HAD MOSTLY BEEF WHICH TO BE HONEST I DID NOT LIKE..TOO CHEWY AND STRINGY NOT VERY GOOD. CHIPS WERE SOME SEEMED OK THE REST DRY AND STALE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER FOR HOME MADE HAND CUT CHIPS AND WELL THE GRAVY..GUYS YOU CANNOT MAKE GRAVY IT WAS DISGUSTING SORRY

THE nicest takeaway I've ever ordered, let alone chinese. This was my second time ordering and I'm ordering again tonight. Love it! Wow I can not rate this place enough. Got crispy shredded beef, THE BEST I have ever tried. I don't usually leave reviews but this place is my new chinese. Wow. The Salt n pepper chips are lovely to, like chippy chips and not soggy, the delivery was great, wow, really blown away by a five star service I have been waiting for.
