Firestone Artisan New York Pizza Slices in Newcastle upon Tyne

I’m a bit of a pain as I ask for a custom calzone whenever I come in. Not only are the guys really accommodating with me, I’ve also noticed the chef is particularly pleasant with anyone who may be struggling. I’m not sure who the owner is but they should be very proud of their product and their staff. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in Newcastle and I’ve lived here for 14 years. Keep up the good work and I’ll see you soon! I’m sorry I didn’t get any names but I’m sure you know who you are. Excellent first day btw 😂

Always go here for pizza if in Newcastle. I already thought this was the best place but the last time we went the boss went the extra mile to make us feel extra welcome. Thank you for taking care of my son, he loved the cookie too. A true gentleman running a great pizzeria!

Really good price and you get a lot for your money, we had the £2 pizza slice and the hot honey is my favourite. My friends and I have returned twice this week!!

I never leave reviews on anything, but this place was simply too good not to. I was recommended to go by a friend and it didn't disappoint. As a student, it's is a great spot that serves tasty pizza for a good price. The music and friendly staff set a great atmosphere. Safe to say I will be going again.

Very disappointing to receive uncooked pizza with raw dough. Especially given it took over an hour to arrive. Shame as it’s been good here on the past. Seemed like totally different pizza to previous.

Our first time and certainly we be back 😉 the staff made us feel welcome and very relaxed 👌, we got the meal deal 4 quid one, the fries were absolutely lovely,the garlic dip very nice, and the 🍕 (hot honey, pizza plus the Madison's square pizza both beautiful, perfectly cooked highly recommended 😋 delicious thanks

Superb food atmosphere and service.

Urgh, £6+ for 2 slices of stone cold pizza, they were put in the deck oven for about 30 seconds to warm up, but no way were they above 65 degrees C, wont be going back

Hubby wanted pizza after a night out, these lovely people made him the pizza he requested and went out their way to make a vegan one for me which I was very grateful for. Staff were absolutely lovely and a good laugh which was great as other half was rather drunk and a bit on the overly chatty side.

Awful cold pizza base was like reheated a million times and was extremely crispy but not in the usual fire oven way in a reheated way. Fries some were nice some had texture of carboard

Can't rate the food as I've been unable to try it and that's exactly the issue. I've attempted to visit Firestone twice. Well without their opening hours and both times I've been unable to for differing reasons. I understand things crop up that may cause a business to close early however I did check Firestones social media before visiting on both occasions and found no indication that they would be closed early on those days. I have no issue with the early closure, I have issue with their failure to announce that they're closing early.

Place good atmosphere and clean. Served quickly but food hot and tasty. Pizza crust thin and crispy and plenty toppings added. Will be back

Food was great, prices are really convenient and the chefs a sound bloke would recommend to anyone who is near by

Honestly, the best New York pizza (Nostalgic), the vibes are amazing and the staff are so lovely. They even gave us skin-on fries- they’re freshly cut! Not frozen, wow!! My son was thrilled to get an early birthday treat! Please don’t close ever!

Said the pizza would be ready in 10 minutes so that I had time to get my bus. I missed my bus because it took almost 20 minutes for the pizza to be ready so despite running I still missed the bus. When I ate the pizza (in the bus station) it was bang average - would not recommend

I got the £3.50 deal - slice, fries & dip. The fry portion was quite small although very inexpensive so can’t complain. The pizza was alright. The main issue is that the guys making the pizza aren’t hygienic at all. No aprons, hairnets/hair coverings. Just wearing their everyday chav gear. One of them pulled out his phone in between kneading the dough which felt pretty grim. The establishment itself is very small and it’s not clear where you queue to order food and where you stand to collect your order. It felt like a large gathering of loud obnoxious students waiting to be served and waiting to collect food.

Found this by accident. Nice place and nice food. Great place for something to eat before going to Newcastle City Hall to see Dexys

Thought me and a few family members would give it a go but we were soon disappointed. Pizza dough was very hard and not much topping on them and the dougballs were aswell. At 20 a pizza and 9 pound for doughballs was expecting better. Was very busy aswell and not much room when seated. Won't be going back!

Disappointing pizza for the price. We had a slice each for £4.50 a pop. Toppings were scant and the base was a bit anaemic-looking. The dough was nice and light, but overall a bit over-priced.

Just been in the shop late on tonight, staff were lovely, polite and friendly even though getting ready to close up. Food was lush and a proper bargain £8 deal for drink dip dough balls pizza slice and a cookie, can’t go wrong! We will deffo be back. :)

I got the Plus Meal Deal and was very impressed with how generous the offer was. Very tasty pizza too!

Worst slice place in Newcastle. Really inconsistent. Raw dough and greasy. Plus I saw them opening packs of M and S cookies to sell on their counter. Go to Scream for Pizza or the one in Grainger Market!

I loved the pizza! The crust was perfectly crispy, and the toppings were so flavorful. We all agreed on the barbecue one but the white pizza had different votes. The service was really good. I ordered it online and they called me to inform me that it will be late as the delivery guy will be late, so i offered to come and they return the delivery fees. Very professional indeed. Definitely coming back for more! 🍕😋

Food arrived this evening, it was cold greasy undercooked and had a few hairs on it, disgusting we had to throw it in the bin. 🤢🤢🤢🤢 Very bad do not recommend

Ordered a 20” pepperoni Pizza (£20) Place is in a nice small location with a really good vibe to it, you can see into where they prep and cook the pizzas so you can watch that if you fancy. Music playing and the lads who work there were canny. The pizza was perfectly cooked, slightly crispy base but still foldable. Toppings well distributed throughout the pizza and a good amount of sauce in my opinion. Base: 9.2 Sauce: 7.9 Toppings: 8.5 Overall: 8.53 I would highly recommend going to Firestone, the value is amazing and such good quality. Really happy with the place and I will be coming back 100%

Just stumbled upon this place, never heard of it before but me and my mate went in. Split a 20” pizza between us. £20 so that’s a tenner each to have some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in Newcastle. Easy recommend.

I love the chips the pizza is nice I'm not a big fan of the dough though it's to crispy and I prefer chewy but the prices are fair everything is flavourful and worth it

£10 for one large slice of pizza, 8 dough balls, a can of drink, and a small amount of dip. really really tasty pizza, but a lot of the dough balls were too hard to eat. incorrect signage out, leaflets advertising £8 meal deal but was told at the till they don’t do that one and they only have the £10 one. staff member was really nice but does seem a bit disorganised overall. recommend just getting a slice!

Huge 20” New York style pizzas. Everything you’d want and more. A sweet edge to the sauce, crisp and chew to the dough. Colour me impressed.

Not really a high quality pizza, if you want to get a true Italian pizza avoid this place at all costs

Cracking place right in the middle of town. Fantastic pizza - generous slices packed with toppings, freshly cooked, all delicious. Eyes bigger than my belly but no regrets. Staff all very friendly, efficient. Dining area was well appointed, clean and tidy. My new favourite place to get a quick bite to eat!

I saw reviews on instagram and needed to try so on our way back from the airport home we decided to pop in and finally try, wasn’t disappointed! There was so much choice of pizza, something for everyone. I got a slice of Madison square garden veggie pizza and it was so full of toppings and the base and crust was crunchy in all the right places but chewy and soft at the same time.

Ordered Firestone today and couldn’t have been more impressed, called me back to confirm a question I had, after I had called them first - remembering my mobile and being sure to confirm with me. So impressed! Food was unreal and they even sent a chocolate chip cookie- get one! It’s a must!

Inconsistent, I've had slices here that have been great and others that are more like crisp flat bread. The tables were dirty and the bin filled to the top but the staff were too busy talking to notice.

Great pizza, thin base and tasty toppings. Good lunch time prices to. Service was a little bit of a let down, left to stand at counter and not acknowledged for some time, felt like we we're putting the staff out being there.

Pizza is excellent, warm fresh and good for money. Just witnessed the employee, grey beard pay for a man struggling to have pizza and drinks himself. Me and my friend watched in awe, very heart warming. Lovely company. 100/10.

This is such a gem on the food circuit of Newcastle. Pizza slices are almost instantly available, 15 minutes for a whole fresh pizza, fantastic staff, and a diner-style counter to munch from. Great selection of options to boot.

Went last night just before closing time, although there wasn't much choice left, they offered to make us a full pizza but we just picked 2 slices that were already made, will defo be back for a different slice!!

Yeah this place is class. Ordered 2x 20" pizzas the other week to share between 4 - so roughly £10 each - money well spent.

Absolutely gorgeous pizza and very friendly staff. If you get there just before close they sometimes offer discounted pizza.

and the first time I order pizza from Firestone ! overpriced and low quality pizza! the pizza was not cooked properly, salty tomato and the mozzarella was burnt! “pizza pie-NY cheese” a Coca Cola £24.99!! I will not buy from them again! I don't recommend it to anyone!!

Lovely pizza, can't fault it. Lovely sauce, dough and toppings something just about everyone else in town can't get right. Get yourself down there or get a delivery in you won't be disappointed. (20 inch pepperoni, chilli and onions delivered very quickly)

Popped in here on the way home. I had never noticed it before. I ordered 2 slices of pizza for £8. The slices were thin and crispy and were warmed through in the oven. It tasted absolutely delicious and had a lovely crunch. Would highly recommend this place.

Ordered through Uber eats last Thursday to the RVI, although there were issues with the Uber eats system the staff/boss were all lovely and had sorted out the miscommunication swiftly. The pizza was lovely and all the staff enjoyed it, will be ordering again very soon :)

I don’t normally leave reviews but I was shocked at the level of abuse I witnessed today from a staff member towards a paying customer before. I ended up leaving shortly after the altercation and many other customers commented how shocked they were, some even requesting refunds. Completely unacceptable

Best pizza I ever had Meatfeast is to die for

Would love to say the food was lovely however the staff were too busy arguing with one another to notice me waiting 5 min to place my order, I can appreciate it was a busy time of the day and a stressful environment, however, It would have been greatly appreciated to have been acknowledged by the staff instead of forcing me to leave the premises due to a tense atmosphere created between the manager and staff.

They won't deliver your order and they'll ignore your calls so avoid this place!!

Fantastic pizza, great place for a quick slice. Very friendly staff and it's 2-4-1 every night 9-11pm which is an absolute bargain.

Arrive 1 hour later than it should have. Pizza was ice cold on arrival. The 3 people in the van delivering clearly been else where before delivering our pizza. Would have been a lush pizza tbf if it was hot

Went this afternoon, seemed right quiet, we probably picked a good time in the evening. The staff were nice, only ordered a slice to go as I was eating my way through Newcastle city on our holidays and I thought for £3.90 or so why not. The lad behind the counter was eating a few slices of his own while he made mine 🤣 not used to that but I think it's a geordie thing as a lot of the places are just picking up food with their bare hands etc. We ain't bothered anyway as you guys need to eat too! Anyway the pizza was great. We really enjoyed it. Great dough nice and airy but crispy and flavoursome. 9/10 would go back.

As close to an actual piece of New York pizza as you can get! Delicious. Good portion size (nearly the size of my head). I had the Brooklyn BBQ chicken and the vegetarian pizza and washed it down with an authentic Italian blood orange drink. Both pizzas tasted good and the crust was just right (not super thick and doughy but not paper thin either). The chicken loaded Mac 'n cheese was pretty tasty too. I was surprised that the price wasn't more as I know that gourmet Mac n cheese these days can cost a small fortune. The staff were pretty friendly too. Definitely worth a visit...they even do delivery.

Such a great place to get a quick bite in town for a really good price. All slices of pizza are under £4 and also get put into the oven on order so you get that fresh slice everytime. Small takeout boxes and cutlery available depending on eating needs. Definitely reccomend to anyone craving a quick and affordable snack while in town.

Honestly I love this place, best takeout food I’ve had yet everything is freshly made and outstanding customer service food always tastes top notch not one thing I could fault this place for! Ordered takeaway last night. Very disappointed with the quality, the Ham & Pineapple being the worst. The ham looked cheap, it was cold and uncooked so clearly put on afterwards. Visibly the pizza’s looked very unpleasant. I wouldn’t go back.

Absolutely fantastic. This is what I may call ‘casual pizzeria’, where you have your pizza on the go. People here are so friendly. I took margarita and chicken BBQ; both are nice. They, in particular, serve a delicious orange fizzy drink (see photo attached). I recommend it.
