Waited over 40 minutes for a dessert.

Like Nandos but cheaper (and better) and the portions are outrageous! This is what the server told us when we sat down and I'd say he described it perfectly. Lovely meal and the kids eat for £1 deal kept the price down!

Firehouse Grill is a really lovely place to eat. The staff are lovely & friendly and the food is great. I had the 1/2 chicken in lemon and herb, really lovely. It was so good we went twice on our 7 day holiday

Food was served quickly, salad in the wraps was fresh, the coleslaw seemed old (likely from a tub), the chicken and gravy quite salty. Bottomless soft drink and soft serve ice cream a winner with the kids. Reasonable price. It was quiet, despite children at every table, decent spacing between, and while worn it was clean. The service was good, friendly, helpful, and to the point.

Poor quality over priced food. Staff were friendly but you are better off eating somewhere else

We enjoyed the food here appart from the childrens pasta, I do NOT recommend this. It had clearly been sat there a while and was dry and congealed together,I do think the food could have been hotter as was only warm when it arrived at our table. The staff are lovely

It was ok, quite expensive for what you get.

The food was very disappointing and very over priced . Both of my childrens pasta was cold and stuck together so you could tell it had been left for ages. My and my partner were surprised by the lack of food on the sharing platters especially as they are £30. Plus it was pretty flavourless. My chicken didn't look fully cooked but I'm not sure if it just looks that way because it's chicken thigh. We couldn't get any staff attention. No staff asked us how our meals were. Would not recommend and we won't be returning.

Very good, farely priced and tasty as. Had the buttermilk chicken burger. Staff went over and beyond.

During our stay this year we only ate here once, we were not disappointed. We were advised of an hours wait for food on arrival, however our orders were taken within ten minutes of seating and our food was with us within half an hour. The gentleman serving was very professional an friendly. Will be popping in here next year.

Staff rude and not helpful, service an hour and a half for 2 kids meals and the whole restaurant waiting over an hour as takeout food comes first by the looks of it. Didn’t have time to eat the desert as missing the last show of the day and we only had day tickets so was given a frozen desert to take away. Not impressed and would not recommend

Great place with lovely and professional staff, they were helpful and they helped us get great deals and delicious food , a drinks and ice cream. Strongly recommended for anyone who wants to get great food.

Food wasn’t great… the chicken wings were very dry & when I mentioned it to the waitress she wasn’t bothered & just said “sorry for that “ wouldn’t eat here again.

My family and I ate here last night. Excellent food. Very delicious and came very quickly. Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and great atmosphere. We all loved the music and would highly recommend. Our children had teh 3 course children's meal, which was a good size. My husband and I shared the sharing chicken with 3 side orders. Highly recommend the spicy fries. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend.

Lovely place to eat, it was fairly quiet when we went at 7:30 in the mid week and so they happily moved some tables so that our large party could sit together. Service good and food delicious! Lots of different chicken dishes, some charred on the bone, some in bbq sauce, popcorn, wings, fries with some delicious salty seasoning, sweet potato fries, rice, salad, corn, garlic bread, it was excellent.

The chicken is just the prepacked chicken that you can get in supermarkets, that is reheated and given some grill lines, it has a very funky smell and looked grey and dry, However the servers are very nice and offered a refund with no hesitation.

Was told to sit and wait 5 minutes to be seated, then got a seat. Service a little slow (short staffed) but food came out hot and tasted nice! The drink took a while to come and there was a few people arrived after us that was waiting a while as it started getting busy- but all in all our experience was 5/5 thankyou!

WORST FOOD & MANAGERS RESPONSE WAS SHOCKING !! Came in as a family for our last meal, all I wanted was a buttermilk chicken burger. First of all They got my daughters order wrong but told us “we must’ve orders this” they brought me out a tiny and cheap looking bun filled with 3 dry chicken strips from the kids menu in a cheap warburtons bun but just grilled it to try and make it look fancy!!! I told them I have the wrong order as I ordered a chicken burger and not 3 strips from kids menu, was told this is what the burger is, they told me they’ve spoken to head office about it and not willing to change it! I spoke to the manager who was mega rude and said “there is no refund option but I can get you another meal, 100’s of people have eaten the same thing today and not complained!!!” I did not want to wait for another meal when all my family had finished so I asked him if he could put a dessert or something quick on as I haven’t been given a burgers he said no!!!!! Food was small, burnt, dry and over priced which is a shame as all the other restaurants in butlins offers great value for money. They make you pay for the food before you enter and now I know why. Disgraceful service and food, Would advise anyone to think twice before wasting money here!!

Food was relatively nice but a little overpriced. Would recommend. We had a little error from the kitchen staff but our waiter Richard was very attentive and fixed it right away. 4 stars.

Easy accessible place , staff are polite and nice . Nice design of the place comfortable tables. When you come to the food it’s the worst grilled chicken I have eaten in my life . Boiled chicken then they put it in the grill, over cooked, but they sell it as it’s grilled chicken , small portions for the side dishes . Horrible taste , delay in the order , the restaurant was almost empty and it takes around 30 mins for our food to be served . They try to fake Nandos but there is no comparison, prices are higher as food quality it poor . The only good staff was canned beans and a bottle of beer even they did not give me a glass to drink , they served it as showed in the picture.

Delicious food again. Buttermilk chicken and spicy popcorn chicken with rice / chips best meal had all week. Buttermilk chicken burger also lovely , large portion sizes and great value for money. Staff all friendly too

Cold food taste less rubbish rip of of Nando’s a star for good service star for nice staff but now need to find something edible and pay more money

Been here lots over the years and the food has always been amazing better than Nando’s !!! BUT after returning I can honestly say it was the worst food I have I eaten at butlins !! I mean if grilled chicken is dry cold chicken breast smothered in cold bbq baste then they need to take grilled out the description !!! The service , the waitress and manager very polite but as for the kitchen staff and the chef , horrendous !!! I have never such rudeness in a restaurant, a chef telling the manager not to let anymore people in half hour before service ends and then when he did , shaking her head staring at the customers in disgust as well as telling the manager off !! As for the cous chef lent over the counter facing customers picking his face and touching food with his hands , DISGUSTING!! The manager was very helpful and certainly wasn’t happy and told the staff it was unacceptable and he couldn’t of done more ! Such a shame because it used to be such a lovely place to eat now it’s been ruined by rude , arrogant staff who cannot cook .

Went last night, we both enjoyed our chicken burgers tasted alot like somewhere that rhymes with andos! Our 18 month old enjoyed his dinner too he had pasta and chocolate ice cream after.

Not impressed long wait,meal not hot,and quite expensive for what you got.Staff pleasent.

Disappointed to find alot of great things missing from the menu. Same price charged as previously on platter yet 2 items less. Also you don't get a full chicken only 2 breasts. Bring back the ribs and sharing breads.

Over an hour wait on food without telling us there was a wait. Toilet covered in cobwebs. The food wasn't worth the wait. Over fried. Nothing home made. Vegetarian options lazy only quorn option. Very flavourless. Wouldn't waste your money. Don't recommend.

No,no ,no,no.... chicken burger made from poached on morning chicken breast and then just slightly grilled on order.... no brioche bap or even floured bap... ciabatta roll instead..... burger reheated to temperature just above room temperature!!!! No busy at all, maybe 4 table with customers. 4 chefs behind hot pass lights.... NO EXCUSES FOR THAT!!!!!

Superb service, our waitress Rach couldn't do more for us. As it was my birthday we took a cake & they happily supplied candles & somewhat embarrasingly sang happy birthday, even though they were very busy. Food was spot on for us & very reasonably priced. Will return at some point.

Firehouse Grill is essentially an attempt to replicate Nandos. The food was OK, but really nothing special. The service however was on a level rarely witnessed! We waited 10 min to be seated, so seated ourselves - which clearly upset the Maitre D‘ to the extent she refused my 5yr old a second packet of crayons to colour with! 😂 20 minutes later I asked a random waitress if we could order food. She apologised and said she would arrange it. We then watched her continue to walk over to a large booth and clear it of dishes, wipe it down and lay it! Luckily I had flagged down what turned out to be our actual waiter in the meantime and placed our order. (Albeit the only non chicken option of a rack of ribs had run out - which ruled out the sharing platter we wanted.) During our meal we were entertained by a lady having a stand up argument with the manager, another couple being offered free drinks for the wait, a family of four querying why some of their order was missing and another couple simply walking out before their drinks had arrived! Fair to say we won’t be going back!

Excellent food and service but the only thing that left a bed taste in our mouths was on Wednesday 14/10/20. Even though thee closing time was 9pm. They decided to close an hour early, people queued up and the staff noticed this and did not give us a reason for why they closed early. In my opinion this is extremely poor.

Decent food, overpriced for what it is, though. The chicken is okay and the sides aren't great. Will probably go elsewhere next time.

Like Nandos, but not. Enjoyable food for usual restaurant prices. The smokey garlic sauce needs a bit more garlic!!!

We had the rack of ribs the chicken nuggets and chips the chicken burger and the salmon it was incredible we really loved it we had the dip and stix and garlic bread starter amazing but a bit too much on the dip and stix for a starter we also had the chocolate brownie and double scoop ice cream fantastic It was super incredible service from Josef and Rach thankyou guys so much 100% recommended

For being on a resort the prices are alright and quite enjoyed the food! The service could have been a bit better considering it was nearly empty when I went, but overly worth going to and in my opinion one of the better if not best places on the resort.

We went here a few times to eat during our stay at Butlins in Minehead. The staff were always great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food was nice and although slightly overpriced nothing too extortionate.

Terrible I thought the name grill gave it away but clearly not !? Ordered chicken wrap but it wasn't grilled it was heated up pre boiled meat which was dry and had no grilled taste. Kids pasta was microwaved and dry even my 7yr old couldn't eat it as it was tough as old boots terrible food pffft

Ive been here quite a few times and the food has always been lovely, but not this time. I ordered chicken breast with a BBQ sauce and wedges and both were really dry and not very enjoyable. Very disappointing

I cannot fault the speed of service here however, when a full rack of ribs touch down to the table less than 5 minutes after the order is completed at the bar I question whether they are still attached to the cow as they leave the kitchen. If you want quality go somewhere else on the resort or skip a meal.

Ribs were superb, chicken wings were nice too. Chicken caesar was a major let down, just putting bottled caesar dressing on lettuce doesn't make it a caesar salad, especially for the price you charge (also no egg, anchovies or croutons!)

Bloody awful. Staff have no idea what they're doing. Took our order 3 times and still brought the wrong food. One employee actually lectured me for not ordering what she brought out. Manager was hiding at the back "cleaning" instead of helping his under trained staff. Avoid.

Food is OK. Comparible prices with similar types of restaurant. We all finished it all. Service a little slow at the start but once ordered the food came nice and quick. A few checks during the meal that all was ok but took a while once we finished to get the deserts and then the bill. Came at midday and it wasn't busy. Nice environment to eat.

Was a bit uncertain on what this would be like but the food was great - we had the sharing platter (whole chicken, ribs, sides) which was excellent value for money, especially on a holiday park. Severs were very attentive without being over bearing. A nice meal and I'd recommend giving it a try if your staying at Butlins.

Worst experience with service.. rude staff.. totally negative customer service.. asked something on the menu I did not understand, the statement made was “look properly it’s option 3, select the base”. chicken wrap, chicken burger was blunt. Ordered kids chicken burger meal but they bought beef burger.. when mentioned we ordered chicken one.. waitress started arguing this is what u order. Just needed to confirm her that we don’t eat beef atall, so there is no chance we could have ordered. Then she took it back to get a worst blunt chicken burger.. I think Butlin's need to address this.. except spicy chunky chips .. all other food was blunt..

Shocking place to eat.. avoid at all cost! Chicken very dry and the ribs were heated in the microwave.. I asked if the ribs comes with sides and I was told yes! Only to be charged for sides!.. We ordered a child meal that turned up once adults had Eaton most of there's! Out of all the places to eat on the resort I would avoid this 100%.. the American diner has great food and great service!

Great service, ribs very nice, but 1/4 chicken a bit dry. But overall a good family meal out.

Very disappointing, smell outside was better than the taste. Daughters pasta was under cooked and hard , side salad was missing, eldest daughter had a Cesar salad which consisted of a lettuce finely chopped covered in oil nothing else. Last night at Butlin’s Minehead so thought we’d have a final good last meal but it was awful. Service was ok a little slow . Won’t go back there again.
