Booked a table with family to celebrate a special occasion, dissapointed with what we got. The choice's on the menu was adequate for what we wanted, unfortunately when it arrived the quality and presentation was poor. The food reminded me of fast food van quality, not what I expected from a restaurant. The drinks options, beer and wine, was not great either. The staff were pleasant but I will not be back, not value for money.

Can't fault Findlays Hotel, no its not the Hilton, nor the Grosvenor. But what it is is a small very friendly hotel in the North of Scotland. The Staff are amazing ,helpful beyond belief, the food has portions that would choke a horse. Myself and my colleagues have been staying while working in the area two weeks at a time, and it's the most homely place we've stayed. So if your looking for somewhere in the area get booked up. But not to many of you because I don't want to have to stay somewhere else because their full.

I stayed here for three nights while visiting family in the Broch. Findlay’s is a bar and restaurant that also has rooms. I was given single room number 8 which is at the front and overlooks the car park and has a lovely view out the window of the bins (see photo). I did learn that they don’t usually let this room because it’s susceptible to noise from the bar, which it was, but the bar was instructed to lock their side door so customers didn’t congregate there late at night which helped. I also asked if the bar staff could avoid emptying bottles into the bin after 10pm which they did accommodate. It’s a very rowdy pub so the noise level is what you’d expect. A pair of ear plugs did help. However I’m not sure if most guests were workers but every morning I was woken from 5.50am on by a succession of people leaving their rooms, locking the door and leaving by the emergency door exit which needed a slam to close it properly. And why do people who are awake and up pay no consideration to those who might still be trying to sleep? Conversations can surely wait until you’re outside in the car. 3 nights away and did not sleep later than 7am every day. I think the rooms would benefit from some kind of sound proofing. The room - basic furnishings, tea & coffee making, hairdryer, good radiator, plug socket by the bed and just about near enough to the mirror for hair drying, ample hangers and space for clothes (including drawers), good, firm bed and nice pillows and nice towels are all the positives. I’d say it was evident that the room isn’t used regularly. It felt a bit grubby. The carpet didn’t feel clean, there was dust on skirting boards and in the top of the radiator grill and the kettle needed a good clean (on the outside) before I used it. The breakfast offered was just continental and my sister who stayed the week before was told it cost £10 which seems exorbitant so I didn’t bother. And maybe that was the intention. There’s a Spar next door and a Tesco just up the road so I got pastries for my room. Other negatives are there was no full length mirror and the shower had a tempermental temperature (but good water pressure) There’s not a whole lot of choice for accommodation in Fraserburgh but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Arrived today for lunch - two couples. We were not asked for contact details on arrival as per COVID requirements.although there was a hand sanitiser station at the entrance. Staff were not wearing face coverings. The table was dirty and my wife asked for a cloth and had to clean the table herself although we were offered another table. Her chair was also covered in crumbs and there were peas on the carpets. Thank goodness the food was good as per usual, but the cleaning standards are well below requirements.

I ate here last night just after 5pm. The food was very good. I went for the Beef Steak Pie which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was delicious. I also went for a Sticky Toffee Pudding which was really nice. The service was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. The restaurant was fairly busy so I would recommend booking ahead. There is free WIFI and there is also lots of parking out the front beside the conservatory dining area. It was also nice and clean inside. The bill came to £16 in total (before discount) which was good value for two courses and a drink. I would definitely visit here again.

Dog Friendly Bar Restaurant with lovely food. Stop in past the bar for lunch while walking the dog. Dog was made at home with his own bowl and a few scraps off my plate.... but to be honest there wasn’t much scraps as the food was delicious and we finished everything. Coffee and bar lunch was great and nice way to break up the walk with the dog around the Fraserburgh Bypass and beach. Bar menu good choice, quality and excellent value. Large portions as you can see by the photos.

I booked 2 rooms at Findlay’s Hotel for 18th & 19th August. One for my 79 year old parents and one for myself and 9 year old son. The rooms are dated and not so nice as some hotels I have stayed in but we all agreed they were clean and comfortable. The only complaint (although not really a complaint more of an observation) is that a bath mat should be provided for safety reasons both my dad & son slipped in the shower (thankfully no harm done). We ate both nights in the restaurant and have no complaints about our food quality and the service provided. We also sat as a family after our meal and had a few glasses of wine (A bigger lounge area would have been nice). Breakfast was nice, plenty choice and we were happy with our service and the quality of food. I would also say that 9am start on a weekend is just a little late maybe 8am would be more appropriate. My parents we up and just waiting around. What stood out for us was the service and friendliness of all the staff we met. All happy to take time to stop for a chat which I know my parents being from the area many years ago appreciated.

We travel all over the world for our jobs and there are several key things for us when it comes to hotels: • Value for money • Cleanliness • Comfort Findlays Hotel has none of these! Check-In: When we arrived to check in on Saturday, mid-afternoon, the place was dead and the attendant had obviously been doing some clothes shopping online. I had booked online through a popular booking website thinking that there would be no issue, I had done this many times before. Apparently Findlays records stated I had booked a twin room for 2 nights, when in fact, I had booked a double for 1 night, how could this be so wrong?! I was taken aback by this and very quickly became annoyed when I was told that unless I could find the confirmation email in my phone (which I did) I would have to pay for the 2 nights as per their booking record, even if I only stayed for the 1! As soon as I found the confirmation there was no problem and I was hastily handed a key (odd that it was so quickly not an issue any more, I think the place was nearly empty). There was no explanation about the keys (1 for room, 1 for outside door if back late at night), no direction to the room and I had to ask about breakfast times. Room (7) When we arrived in the room there was only 1 set of towels and no bath mat. So, I had to go out and ask for more, not a good start. To say the room needed updated would be an understatement. Mismatching furniture and fittings, a strange corner wardrobe with no doors and chest of drawers shoved inside, an old piece of kitchen worktop stuck in an alcove to serve as the desk/tea tray/tv/makeup area, a picture on the alcove wall that wasn’t even in the middle, a mirror beside the kitchen worktop for doing makeup etc I think but no lights beside it so totally useless, an old leather chair (looked like a dining room chair?) for under the worktop, mismatching carpet, curtains, bedding, wall colours, chipped wall paint, dado rail and 2 tone colours, old telephone that didn’t appear to even be working, dirty tea cups, horrible coffee, didn’t even see an information book, old aqua panelling in the bathroom, old fashioned sanitary ware, a silver pedal bin with a mashed pedal that didn’t work and it was filthy and bashed, no bath mat or ribbing on the bath floor to prevent slipping (it was very smooth), as a rule I detest shower curtains. The room felt chucked together and dated. It was dusty and not to a level of cleanliness I would expect. The bed looked thrown together, not tucked in etc. Sticking a pathetic blue runner on the end of the bed does not make it any fancier, it’s just laughable. The bed itself was horrendous, lumpy, sunken and creaky (luckily I brought earplugs). Evening meal: We were seated in the conservatory. This had the same feel as the room – dated and tired. Putting black blinds, black leather chairs, sparkly menu cover on and a few modern highland cow pictures does not modernise inherently dated building fabric and furniture. Having said that, you could do a lot more without complete renovation to modernise this place. When I saw the dining area – it was a dining chair we had in the room! The food itself was terrible. Prawn cocktail had brown/old lettuce, bunch of frozen prawns sprinkled on top and what looked like sauce from a jar poured on top. Beef olives – couldn’t believe the mashed potatoes tasted like the old instant Smash you used to get from a packet. The haddock was tasteless and appeared to have come from frozen. Plate too cluttered and the minute you tried to cut anything up it spilled over. From a seaside town with direct access to fishing fleets and fish markets I would have expected fresh, local food. Breakfast: Surprised that it started so late and only lasted for an house (9-10am). We’re normally early risers, even more so this time because we hadn’t slept a wink and just got up! I never been somewhere that didn’t start breakfast until 9am, even though it was Sunday, it’s normally 7.30-8am. So we waited and eventually went through at 8.45. They were still setting up but our order was taken. Full breakfast was inedible, the majority of it was left on the plate. Again, it appeared to be wholesale rubbish with no taste and the sausages weren’t even cooked properly. The scrambled eggs were overdone, dry and tasteless, didn’t appear to even be any seasoning. When it comes to hotel butter I normally love it because it’s proper good butter, but here it was very odd, almost like sections of horrible marg slapped on a saucer. Staff: Generally appeared to be inexperienced, although friendly enough. A standard dress code or branded clothing and name tags would go a long way here in terms of looking more professional and some proper service training. General comments: This hotel is in a good, quiet location with parking and could be so much more with a little effort and modest investment. As it stands, it is the most expensive place to stay in Fraserburgh and I cannot see where my £120 b+b went, yes, £120!!!! Absolutely ridiculous and a downright cheek. Compared to other hotels in the town that look much more up to date (£80 approx) this is nonsense. We are telling everyone I know to avoid this place, even the taxi driver that picked us up in the evening! Until this place gets an injection of common sense, professionalism and some modernisation I wouldn’t touch it with a bargepole.

Staff friendly, but service a bit on the slow side considering there wasn't many people in. Food good, plain fayre & very reasonably priced. Very good fish but wouldn't expect anything else in Fraserburgh, but must say the batter on the fish & chicken dishes was amongst the best we have had.

Myself and three family members had a meal here last week. The prawns were very poor quality and the lasagne which I had for the main was very dry and stodgy, the white sauce was uncooked and the pasta was slimy. After a long day of driving we reached Findlay’s and found a very warm and friendly welcome. Our room was large with all one could need, extra easy chair and bed settee too. We ate in the restaurant, the food was really good, well presented after a reasonable time for freshly cooked food.

Visited tonight with family and have to say was bitterly disappointed from start to finish. Three of us had dirty cutlery, the soup roll had been overheated in micro and was like a rock, piece of plastic found in fruit salad, and beef stroganoff inedible. Meal was being paid with vouchers which had to be used by next month so did not see any point in asking for money off the bill. The only positive thing I can say about Findlays is that the waitresses were very nice and polite but will not be going back. We paid the bill and left hungry.

Went there for a meal to celebrate a birthday and had the strange feeling that someone had booked the entire restaurant for ourselves! However this idea was quickly laid to rest by the staff who seemed to resent even our intrusion into their personal little fiefdom. Anyway, they did seem to come round to the fact that their wages are in part funded by customers so they presented the menus to us, but alas no wine list, maybe the NE of Scotland its frowned upon? Deliberations where made regarding the wonders of the fayre offered to us and eventually we decided on each of our desired choices. Now I cannot speak for anyone else so my journey must at this point focus on the delicacies served to me. To start I selected the Lentil Soup (Soup de jour), build them up and then knock them down seems to be the watch words from this point onwards! The soup was, in all ways, delicious and filling and may have lead me to believe that the main would be equally as enticing? Alas it was not to be, a Medium Rare sirloin steak was what was ordered but what transpired was an insipid chunk of flesh that neither tasted, nor looked like it brought forwards feelings of delight. It was overdone, and had the taste of something that you'd eaten but wanted to forget. There was absolutely no atmosphere, save what we made ourselves and even this was sorely tempered by the sullenness of the staff. As a night to remember it would be more akin to a night to forget! A dose of culinary indifference served, luke warm, on a bed of apathy. perhaps it was a bad night and the chef had been unduly delayed in retaking their qualifications, whatever the reason it was certainly nothing to write home, or away, about. As much a take it or leave it experience as I have had the misfortune to encounter. So It is up to you if you decide to sally forth and taste the wares on offer, but for me it was once bitten twice shy.

The main course was average and the waitress managed to spill gravy down a colleagues back. The desert was just as bad, there is no way it was home made trifle, it looked like a victoria sponge with a blob of custard on top. No offer of a discount for almost giving 3 of us food poisioning with the soup, and no tea or coffee afterwards. I took my daughter, her children and a friend here for a meal. We were welcomed and seated immediately and each given a menu. All except one chose from the high tea menu and I can't praise it enough. Apart from high teas there is a children's menu and an extensive choice on the main menu, at reasonable prices. We were seated in the dining room. The restaurant was busy as the conservatory was full to capacity, but we did not have long to wait for our drinks, toast, and then food. All our portions were really large, hot and very tasty. We were then served tea or coffee, pancakes, jam, butter and a lovely selection of beautifully made sweet treats. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly and the price was really good. I've read a few of the reviews on here and think we must have been at a different restaurant from some of these people. We look forward to our next visit. We were also there on mothers' day and I read someone complaining about the three different sweets on one plate with hot sauce. We were absolutely delighted with this as all the flavours went well and the portion was huge.

Was at the Mothers' Day carvery - had to wait 15 mins for roast potatoes, no Yorkshire Puds and meat was dry as it had been out for ages. Dessert was a trio - meringue, cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding but they were all served together on a small circular round plate so the STP sauce (hot) was all through the cheesecake base and meringue. A shame really. Not bad as such, but not great either.

We had the misfortune to stumble across this place while looking for somewhere to have lunch in Fraserburgh. The brown tourist signs pointing us towards Findlay's seemed like a good sign. When we arrived, there were a few other tables of people eating and the waitress was welcoming. There stops the good news.We decided that there was nothing on the lunch menu we really fancied, so decided to opt for a light lunch and keep ourselves for dinner later. I ordered a chicken mayonnaise sandwich and my wife ordered a jacket potato with prawns Marie Rose. Our food duly arrived and, at first glance, looked OK. However, one bite of the sandwich revealed the bread to be stale. The chicken was the cheapest tasteless stuff imaginable and the "mayonnaise" was equally tasteless. I left it and ate the salad with the cheap coleslaw. My wife's jacket potato came with a pile of tiny cheap prawns which were watery and tasteless. The red substance they were smothered in bore no resemblance to Marie Rose sauce. The person who prepared this fare with the belief that it was acceptable to be served up in a restaurant has no right to call themselves a chef. Take my advice, if you want decent food in this area, go to the cafe in the Asda along the road. At least there you are served fresh coffee, unlike here where they seem to think that serving instant coffee in a pot is acceptable.Probably my worst restaurant experience ever!

Thoroughly enjoyed our high tea, main course good portion size, toast came with butter and jam in pots rather than the usual portions, good selection of bite sized pieces and two bite sized pancakes. If I were to be critical then it would be that main course food went cold quickly, maybe if plates had been hotter then this might not have happened to same the extent.Waitresses efficient and friendly/helpful. Very good value for money. Reasonable choice on high tea menu and I would assume that they vary it from time to time to give any regulars who visit a change of choice. We did not feel rushed at all although we did not sit down till 5.45pm last sitting for high tea, but was glad to make a move as was absolutely stuffed full, not sure though if we had been sitting down earlier if table would have been required for next booking.

To be honest i was a little unsure about going for the carvery this week as it was there 1st ever carvery but we were all very pleased with both the service and the food. The staff were all very welcoming and nothing seemed to be a problem. The carvery menu was a standard carvery menu but at £13.50 for 2 courses and £16.00 for 3 courses it was a good price. The starters were lovely but the best was the main course. The beef and the turkey were cooked to perfection and the chef gave generous portions! There was also a good selection of vegetables and potatoes. Sadly we did not leave room for dessert but I’m fairly sure that they too would have been fantastic. All four of us would highly recommend to others.

I visited today with my mother and daughter for lunch and we worried we wouldn't get a table as it looked full and we hadn't booked. The two waitresses could not have been more helpful-they set up an extra table for us and made us feel welcome. My mother and I had battered haddock and my daughter had chicken fillets. We thought we might have a while to wait as it was very busy but our food came quickly and it was delicious! It was great value for money and we will certainly be going back!! Thank you to all the staff!

First time here since new owners took over and a massive improvement from the last time I dined here. The food we ordered was absolutely first class, very well presented and extremely tasty. The young waiter seemed to struggle with my order however, he continually got things wrong and was very forgetful but apart from that minor detail I look forward to returning soon. No complaints either with the cleanliness of the restaurant it looked fine to me.

We came across Findlay's Hotel by chance whilst out for a drive in the area. A quick check of trip advisor from the car park didn't fill me with much hope and regrettably I can only agree with everything people have already mentioned. Might I add that reviews dating back as far as June highlight issues which haven't yet been addressed by management, or lack of, as the case may be.The restaurant itself was, at a glance, clean however closer inspection of chairs was a 'no go' area. Stains older than me were visible and clearly had been receiving as much attention as the customers - none!Starter of soup came along with bread and butter. The soup was good, I'm told, but the butter was so cold it couldn't be spread on anything. For main I had ordered a cheese panini and curly fries. A waitress came and said they "don't have curly fries" so I had to settle for chips. When it came, my panini was colder than my soft drink (which had ice!) and the chips weren't much warmer. Others in the party had coronation chicken paninis which came with salad and crips. Mine came missing the crisps and was clearly cut with the same knife, leaving residue of their filling on the side of my panini - not happy!Others in my party had ordered tea and asked for it to come with the meal, rather than immediately after being seated. Half way through the main and we had to remind the chatting waitresses of their error to which I then heard "they never ordered tea" once they'd left our table. The staff serving had no motivation; Customer Service was non existent and the place had more of a funeral ambience to it than 'restaurant'!All in all, not a good meal and most certainly not a place I'll be returning to. Some big issues which need addressing before it's worth the money they're charging.

Live about 500 yards from Findlays Hotel but hadn't approached the place for food for about a year as the previous owner had ran the palce to the ground. As the place is under new ownership myself and my partner decided to go and have a pub lunch and see if there have been any significant improvements. Fortunately there have been some improvements with regards to the look of the place as the decor has been freshened up a bit. Unfortunately the food has not been improved. We ordered chicken fillets and chips, what could go wrong with that? Well, what we were given was pretty much a plate of grease. Maybe the bar menu isn't given much attention compared to the restaurant menu but is this an excuse for poor quality when the palce was virtualy empty? I was going to try and discuss this with the owner as it wasn't a cheap bar lunch for what we had received but after having heard numerous rumours about the attitude given towards disgruntled customers i decided that it was maybe best to just choose another palce to eat next time.

Having dined here a for both lunch and dinner since the new management took over. Findlays is finally back to the standard it was before. Polite, attentive and friendly staff. Great value. Superb food and presentation with a few extra little touches that make all the difference. Would highly recommend this restaurant you wont be disappointed.

Went to Findlay's for lunch. The food was ok, but nothing special. The staff were very nice and attentive. With a vegetarian in the group - there weren't many options. The meat-eaters found that the food was nice enough. Wouldn't go back, simply for the lack of veggie options.

I recently went for a meal at Findlays. For a Saturday night it was quite quiet wasn't much atmosphere about the place. I was put off from the very start as rather than come take our order the waiting staff were stood chatting, so loudly I knew where the were all going after work. When we eventually got to order I cut into my fish and it looked a funny colour def not like it should have. There was a strange smell as well from the food. My friend ordered the curry which was served like warm and veg which was bland and unseasoned we were going to raise this with staff but they were still to busy with their sat night plans and we really just wanted to leave and enjoy our own Saturday. Will certainly not be returning. Big disappointment all round

We visited Findlays Restaurant on Monday for a high tea. I ordered battered fish and chips and my friend chose the breaded fish. When our meals arrived, we were aware of an ammonia smell becoming stronger as we cut into the fish. Knowing this is a sign of decomposing fish, we returned our meals to the kitchen. A few minutes later a young waitress had been given the onerous task of passing on a message from the chef to us to say that the fish was fine. The owner had been present in the kitchen when our meals were sent back and she, nor the chef had the decency to come and discuss the matter with us. Having thought about our visit I decided to speak to the owner, Emma, and what a waste of time that was! Her chef was right and she was not interested in any points I raised. She informed me that she had been in the restaurant business for 15 years. Pity she hadn't learned how to deal with customers then!

We were a group of 4 eating out on Saturday night who had not eaten at Findlays for a long time, after a dreadful meal previously. We'd heard that there were new owners so thought we'd give it a try. Our food and presentation was good, it was the service that needs attention. The problem wasn't that the girls weren't nice, but they were clearing the table before we'd finished our meal properly. Our table was totally cleared before we'd even asked for the bill, our water glasses were lifted and still water in them. We thought as it was Saturday night they were desperate to get finished. Would give it another try but if we got the same treatment I would certainly make it clear to the staff.

We had a high tea at Findlays this week. This had been recommended by friends following a recent change of management. We very much enjoyed the experience. It was also good value for money at £10. We were in separate dining room from the front bistro which was good for a family group. We started with toast and butter. There was a good choice of main course. The most popular in our group was chicken maryland. This consisted of fried chicken, sausage, bacon, pineapple fritter, banana fritter, mushrooms, tomato and coleslaw. It was a very good, substantial meal. There were side platters of chips which were more than enough. We then had tea or coffee with stands with a fine selection of cakes, etc. Service was very polite and efficient. We certainly intend returning.

We come to the Broch and surrounding areas at least twice a month, and regularly eat out in Fraserburgh, Gamrie, Banff, Macduff and Turriff. Last Sunday we took a wee run to Peterhead, and on the way back we stopped off at the Ban-Car for lunch. The place was absolutely packed out of the door, not a seat left and sadly we had to think of somewhere else. Off to Findlay's then. Arrived, and the car park was completely empty - not a good sign, when five minutes along the road you could not get in the door! In we went, one other couple in the conservatory. The waitress was rather bored looking and didn't even smile! Food was pretty average. Tomato soup which looked and tasted like a plain tin of chopped tomatoes had been plopped in the bowl. No bread came or was offered. Haddock in cheese sauce with a skin on it, lukewarm, with overdone slimy green peas and only ONE boiled potato! When I mentioned it to the waitress she just said she would mention it to the chef. No extra potatoes brought to the table or apology. i had the stroganoff which was tasty enough. We thought about dessert, then decided they had got two courses wrong - they were not getting another chance so we went to Jonny Biccochi. management - a few years ago this was one of THE places to eat. You have a captive audience on a Sunday, with no where else to go...(and they are all flocking to the Ban-Car! Speaks volumes!!) Change your chef, change your menu, get the lovely lassies to smile and keep an eye on their customers and you might get it back.

Have heard a lot of mixed reviews about findlays but decided we would go back as it was over a year since we last went. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 children. 3 had starters which all said was lovely, everybody enjoyed they're main meal. Plenty food on the plate and great service. Everybody was full and had no room for dessert. We will all go back . This is not a fancy place but it serves delicious food at very reasonable prices.

After visiting the Heritage Centre and being told they were not serving any fish, (the heritage of Fraserburgh) we decided to visit Finalys knowing there would be fish on the menu. The food presentation was good, see photos, and it tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. There was only one other couple there at lunchtime, but not being in the centre that is to be expected. The view across the carpark from the conservatory was therefore uncluttered. Having visited many years ago, it is cosy in the evening.

We live local and for the last few years findlays has been a place of disgrace, the food is horrible, the interior needs a good clean the staff need to be trained, but how can they be trained correctly when the owner does not care about what standard of food is served or how its actually served, drive by any night and you will see a lone couple, who no doubt regret sitting down to dinner, Fraserburgh needs a good restraunt, so if your looking for it dont go to findlays hotel, go to findlays fish and chip shop, in the middle of town, the original findlays, not someone who took a name and abused the reputation. The owner does not deserve any trade, and by the looks of it most of the customers are leaving .

We went for lunch on a snowy day and we were the only diners. There was a surprising amount of menus to choose from, a specials board, a fixed price express menu and an enormous wooden vintage a la carte.....the soup of the day was good thick lentil and gammon, the battered haddock was huge and very well cooked with peas ,tomato and decent chips. The Chinese chicken curry was ethnic, with large chunks of chicken.Salmon and cod on leeks and mash was evidently tasty. The staff were nice but we wouldn't rush back.

Room was ok and comfortable. Could use some net curtains for privacy as rooms were at street level. Internet/ mobile phone reception was poor in room. No one in restaurant at all when I visited which is always a poor sign of the food standard.

Dropped in for supper last night, wish I went to McDonalds instead! My girlfriends chicken was like rubber and overcooked, my gammon steak was burned to a crisp, also only had about 20chips on my plate. 2 kids meals arrived same time as our meals but had to wait 10 minutes for 3rd kids meal to appear. Also arrived at 19.15 and orders placed at 19.25- Still waiting for food at 19.55. Was going to have sweet but decided we didnt want to wait 30 mins or so for a few scoops of ice cream and a slice or 2 of banofee pie. The worst meal I have had in a long time, I will not be back. My husband and I recieved a voucher for Findlays at Christmas time from friends. We decided to go this Saturday past. We had mentioned to a few folk that we would be going and the feedback we recieved from most people was " oh its not good, you'l be disappointed". HOWEVER, we were NOT disappointed with our meal, it was nice, because we had heard not so positive reviews we only ordered a main course and no starter. I had a chow mein dish and my husband had a chicken dish, we had about 20minutes to wait before our food was served but that wasn't a problem. Neither of us ordered dessert, the main course was enough. I did order a french coffee, I put the first one back because the cream sank to the bottom then the manager came over with a fresh one but the same had happened again, he tried to tell me that it was the cream they used and it couldn't be helped, which I know is not true. This would not stop me from going back for an evening meal. I would recommend Findlays but not as my first choice.

Went to the place with work mates for Christmas Lunch, food was terrible, roast tatties were par boiled and bunged in the deep fat fryer, hard and uncooked, the turkey was grey in colour would not cut, uneatable, the brussel sprouts were hard, I was hardly able to cut through, mushrooms were without the cream cheese as described, the vegetable stroganoff was a chicken stroganoff and the Owners reply was "well nobody else has complained", a work mate was sick following the meal. Not even a cracker in sight, watch out for the chairs as they are liable to fall apart under you, DON,t Go There.
