Marco,s Chipper in Aberdeenshire

Wow! I've eaten food from hundreds of chippies over the decades but it's fair to say this place takes the biscuit. The pizza crunch supper - a staple in the Central belt - is NOT popular in Peterhead. Visit Marcos' and you'll see why. This was truly awful. I'd guess it's a mini frozen pizza from Morrisons across the road which is bad enough but the batter was truly vile, very orange and tasting as though it was burnt. To cap it off the chips were awful too. If Marcos' was the last place on earth I'd eat my own toes. Avoid!

Horrible service, if i could rate it any lower i would, this place makes wakefield prison look like a 5 star hotel, i had snot in my burger and there was a bite out of it absolutely rancid and awful.

Chips had been reheated and weren’t fresh , pie was over done, scampi was over cooked and hardly any

Portion size is beyond tiny. A large chips shouldn't be this small

First time using this chippy and was pleasantly surprised , food was warm and tasty and delivered 20 minutes early. Will use again.

Ordered the battered haddock and scampi. Battered barely cooked and could count the pieces of scampi. Wouldn't return unfortunately

Really nice food from here which we ordered for delivery. Arrived really quickly. The only slight change u would make is putting a piece of paper under the fish to stop it sticking to the cardboard.

Turned up to get my supper and sadly it wasn’t great. Girls didn’t ask if I wanted salt and vinegar on any of my food just wrapped it up without asking and handed me it. The wrap wasn’t upto much either I’m told and was very soggy. I’m really sad as we enjoy coming to marcos but this just put me off.

Absolute shocking fish & chips especially in the biggest fishing port on the UK! The fish was cremated & swimming in oil, the chips tasted like they were fried yesterday! I wouldn't recommend this chippy to anyone! Can't fault the delivery service though!

This really was a pleasant surprise. We decided to give Marco's another try after a disappointing visit, this was great, food was delicious and very hot.

Chips were rock hard black hardely no batter on black putting and that was rock hard tryed cut with nife no joy put in bin waste of money

Disappointed to learn that what you order isn’t actually what you get! Apparently you have to add everything on yourself! When we rang up about it, they were all too aware of the problem! Come on guys, it’s an easy fix to get it sorted!

Best chipper and staff in toon! Ever since this place opened zanres n ah the rest have went straight down hill. Chicken rolls are amazing like bennies used to do. Can never fault em. 5 stars all around

Normally I am nae fussy but when you buy fish and chips and the fish has batter that is soggy, Then it is unappealing at best and at worst, it puts yi clean aff. Also pricey. Had better like.

I ordered a lightly battered fish and waited 15 minutes for it to be cooked. When i got home I had more batter than fish. One of the worst I've ever had.

I always make a point in ordering from here if I'm in Peterhead. It's such great value for money. The fish & chips are always cooked fresh and the portion sizes are great.

Was absolutely terrible cold curry sauce, soggy batter disgusting will definitely not be back.

We ordered a sharing box and a portion of fish as a treat for 2 adults and 2 young boys. It was ready for collection and the varied selection freshly cooked. A feast indeed. Well done Marco's Staff

We had been told good fish supper with crispy batter but when we got home hardly any batter and soggy. Believe Marco sold to Dolphin owner where we also had the same lousy meal

Amazing! Come here at least twice a week and foods always to top standard, staff are very friendly and have a good chat to you. By far the best chipper in peterhead.
