We were the only 2 diners in the restaurant for a midweek pre-theatre meal. The food took a very long time to arrive (burger and salad took half and hour for some reason). When my daughter's vegan burger came it was completely rock hard and burnt right through. It must have been noticed when it was put on the plate. They did replace it and she was provided with complimentary olives by way of apology, but when we came to pay, that too took a very long time. The card machine had an apparent fault and declined repeated attempts to pay on multiple cards. Eventually this was rectified, but it was a real shame because the food (when a fresh burger was served) was absolutely superb. We wouldn't go here again unfortunately, which is a shame as it's so close to the theatres.

The food was absolutely disgusting, basically inedible. Nothing was fresh and it was all cooked badly. The service was slow and generally terrible. They didn’t have what I ordered in stock and brought me a totally different item without telling me first.

We arrived to be told there was a Christmas party going on and we had not got a table of which we had a booking for. They said that they didn’t recognise or use open table for bookings. We were then sat in the lobby bar where all of the party guests were gathering and given a menu. When the food arrived it was cold and the steaks were just full of fat. Probably one of the worst experiences ever. Will never be setting foot in there again. Advise to anyone. DONT GO THERE.

When my party arrived at Collage we were told we didn’t have a table. We had booked with open table weeks in advance. It completely spoiled the evening. We had booked to give my mother a nice night out near to the anniversary of my fathers death. I am devastated and will never use this site again. Customer service not worth anything either

A tasty meal post theatre visit. Good choices on menu and close to theatre. Ideal as we wanted something a bit quieter than restaurants near to the Hippodrome so we could chat easily. Very relaxed first floor hotel restaurant, service was a little slow and lacked attention to detail e.g. had to ask for drinks after starter arrived and needed to request a steak knife. We ate from theatre set menu as much better value but we were charged full price on bill (pointed out and corrected) so make sure you check.

Compré un bono de groupon especialmente para mis maridos bday. Reservé para 1 pm el sábado por adelantado. Cuando llegamos, el lugar estaba vacío y el aspirador estaba aspirando. No creo que se dieran cuenta de que veníamos ya que el hombre que lo saludó parecía extremadamente molesto. La aspiradora continuó durante aproximadamente 20 minutos. Our open table reservation never made it to the restaurant - hostesses made it quite uncomfortable and had me pull it up on their wifi. We were the second couple to enter the tiny place and put at the entry table so we could greet everyone as the door open. No privacy. Flies were all over us. Hostess tried to redeem herself with complimentary dessert at the end. We were already embarrassed and uncomfortable- just wanted to go.

Mi amigo y yo decidimos tratar a su madre para el té de la tarde en el restaurante, qué decepción - esperé para correos electrónicos de confirmación como había prometido por la persona que reserva con más de una semana, finalmente mi amigo llamó por teléfono y nos dieron la confirmación enviada. A nuestra llegada nos dijeron que por el chef que él no sabía que estábamos yendo y si podíamos esperar 40 minutos que nos harían el té. Éramos las únicas personas en todo el restaurante y no sorprende, las sillas en la sala de espera eran asquerosamente sucio y el inodoro estaban aún peor. Las mesas son sencillas y aburrido y se hizo ningún esfuerzo para hacerlo mejor. Todo el lugar es decepcionante y necesitan una renovación - Venga Raddison Blu Birmingham es el segundo de la ciudad se puede hacer mejor.

I am appalled that after booking weeks in advance via Open Table for a reservation at the Filini Restaurant my wife and I arrived to find the venue pre-booked for an organised corporate event - so that we then had to find an alternative restaurant on a cold night in Birmingham to celebrate my wife's birthday. I find the Open Table service highly disappointing when we had booked far in advance - Open Table even sent me a reminder of the booking on the day! - to then trek out somewhere and find another restaurant (at additional expense because you will realise choice would have been limited on a Saturday night). I am loath to recommend the Open Table service to anyone else and would like to share my disappointment at this unreliable service - I would have thought that the whole point of using a service such as Open Table would be the ability to rely on any arrangements and it is Open Table'a responsibility to inform people when things go awry - as it happened we were under the impression that we had a table booked up to the point we arrived at the restaurant....!

No sé de donde tengo que empezar a expresar mi decepción. Cuando empezamos a pedir la comida además de las bebidas, el camarero no quiso escuchar y él parecía no notar el orden interesado pero sólo escapar. Pedimos entrantes que llegó después de 20 minutos y después de 30 minutos que tuvimos nuestro vino finalmente. Tengo que decir que el único aspecto positivo fue la comida, era delicioso y fresco pero aún así que no puedo recomendar en todo este lugar. Pagamos un montón de dinero para la cena y que no valía la pena. Este restaurante que está dentro de un hotel de 4 estrellas, no dar ninguna estrella. La gerencia del restaurante deberían enseñar a sus empleados cómo servir las mesas, cómo dar la bienvenida a las clientes y también enseñarles sobre la comida. El camarero no sabía qué horno de madera es y él no sabe la diferencia entre espaguetis y Lasaña, creo que es ridículo. Así que no venga aquí, por favor, gente no tiren su dinero.

I was quite impressed with the food in Filini when staying in the Radisson - having found the chains on-site restaurants often quite bland. Only went for a starter and a pizza but both were done to a very high quality and the price wasn't huge either. Not sure if I'd make a special trip for the restaurant but I've little experience of similar in Birmingham.

I booked Filini for my husbands birthday, it's a lovely restaurant with a relaxing and intimate ambiance. The tables are nicely spaced out so it's quite private. I had the corn fed chicken and my husband had the steak. Both dishes were very nice and had a lot of flavour. The waiter bought out a birthday cake with candles which was a nice thought. I would certainly recommend Filini for a special occasion.Mrs Walid

Booked this restaurant six weeks ago for my sister's 65th birthday. Received a phone call this Monday evening saying that my booking for this Thursday 17/12 was cancelled due to a computer error at the time of my reservation. This is interesting as at the time of booking I was offered a range of booking times. The truth,I believe,is that there has been a rush of late bookings involving a degree of mass catering as the restaurant is next to the Alex Theatre whose current production is Hairspray. Factor in this,plus Christmas,then our small family celebration is 'small potatoes' indeed. Now I have to scramble around trying to find an alternative venue.To be honest I would feel less angry if I had been told that my booking had become valueless,due to greater profitable numbers,rather than a computer glitch that has taken six weeks to pick up.I have been lied to by the Filini company.

Bear in mind that this restaurant is in a Raddison hotel so the prices are slightly higher than a high street Italian restaurant. that said the meal was very good and the atmosphere nice and relaxed. Good service.

We wanted to take our daughter somewhere special for her 21st birthday. We decided to go to Filini restaurant in Birmingham. Our daughter was really excited. A party of 6 of us went. I had booked the table well in advance and explained that it was for her 21st birthday.We were very disappointed that the hotel did nothing special at all and frankly did not seem in the least bit interested. The waiting staff were attentive enough but there was not the care and attention that we have experienced at other places for a special occasion. My daughter was not made to feel special at all. Most of the party enjoyed their meal, although myself and one other member of our party had pizza which was extremely salty.My conclusion is that Filini is probably fine for business people staying overnight but is not really for local families who are non residents looking to celebrate something. I think there are better alternatives.

Very attentive and impressive staff.Cooked breakfast on first 2 mornings was luke warm. Third morning it was hot.Specials were available eg porridge, omelette, and cooked to order. Self juicing the oranges was fun and really tasty.Various spreads were available but not labelled, so being colour blind I couldnt tell which was which.Free newspaper and fruit to take out is a nice touch.

A nice clean restaurant and very convenient if you are staying at the Radisson hotel as it is in the building and part of this hotel.Simple but nice choice of food suitable for all. A bit quiet but actually this was nice as the service was great. Would eat here again as easy to do if staying in the hotel, mid range prices and you can make its as cheap or expensive as you like.

The Felini Bar And Restaurant is a piece of Italian charm in the heart of Birmingham. The surroundings are contemporary yet warm and very comfortable. I visited the restaurant whilst staying at the Radison Blu. I walked in at about 7.30 and there was only one other table with guests, although it started to get busier through my meal.The setting is most pleasant and you certainly don't feel as though you are in a hotel.I ordered the tuna (£18) and while I waited I was served with some complimentary bread and olives.When the tuna arrived it was well presented and tasted every bit as good as it looked.Portion size was fairly small, but just enough.I would certainly visit again.

My husband booked Filinis for our wedding anniversary and was very excited with his choice. Although we knew the restaurant was not on a high level floor, it was still the prestigious Beetham Tower, Birminghams tallest. We arrived The hotel and took the elevator to the first floor, on stepping out the little corridor we was straight in to the bar/restaurant. It's an average size restaurant with nothing interior wise to write home about, Infact the decor was hard. It was not overly busy and seamed to be occupied by hotel guests. The majority of people were very casual in jeans. But then again the restaurant did not warrant nice clothing. The menu seamed very small and both my husband and I were disappointed with the selection. We chose the pork popcorn and prawn fritto for starters. The prawn fritto was tasteless. For mains we had the Seabass and the cornfed chicken, these were both devine, however small portions. We had a very nice bottle of Merlot with our meal and we asked for a window seat to watch the bustle of the city. The waiting staff were attentive and very friendly. I was just so disappointed with the actual restaurant and food served, my expectations were very high and imagined something a lot grander to suit the tallest tower. Iv been once, seen it done, won't rush back.

Popped in for a pizza and was amazed that a pizza could be so wrong. The meager topping had to be chipped off and the base we could not hack through, crack or bite. We were not the only ones with problems. Shame. Did complain with little reaction given...the reaction of the staff appeared to show it was not a one off.

Four of us stopped off here for a meal prior to a show at the Alex theatre. We went in on spec and found the restaurant fairly empty (there were about 4 or five other tables being used). The restaurant is clean and designed well.There was good choice with the food and each of our choices was excellent. The only thing that stopped this getting five stars is the relatively slow service. Whilst polite and friendly, the drinks took a little longer that expected, and the staff weren't quick getting our order taken, bringing our drink order over and giving us the bill. That said we were probably more anxious over the time taken given that we had a show to catch.I'd recommend the restaurant but if you're having a pre-theatre meal then I'd suggest giving yourself slightly longer than you would normally. That said, with starters and main course, we were there about an hour and quarter.

Pre-theatre menu appears to be OK but that is only on up to 7 p.m. I arrive on own at 7.10 p.m. and was given the a la carte menu. Staff very pleasant. Menu was extremely limited for a 4 star hotel. The starters 1/2 I could not eat owing them having either fish or crustaceans - have allergies. The rest - sorry not for me. The main courses - again were very limited - and the charges - over the top. I have stayed in other 4* hotels and never been charged £13.50 for a Margharita Pizza (choice of two) - the charge for a sirloin steak was £26.00! There was also a 10% charge added to the bill. To be honest there was nothing on the menu that I would pay what they were asking for it - so I ate in the bar downstairs. [I ordered a burger (can't go wrong - oh no????) - bun was burned and very greasy. Burger was way over cooked - could hardly get the knife through it. Chips were fine.] I had breakfast in this restaurant (was staying in hotel) - bacon was very very undercooked and too fatty - it was lukewarm even though under "heat" lamps - saw a lady's egg-white omlette - she left most of it (about 3/4) looked insipid and inedible. Made my own toast - that was fine. All in all I would not eat in this restaurant or in the hotel bar. Very overpriced.

Service poor, had to call waitress to order first drinks after 15 minutes sitting/waiting and same in all other drinks, no offer of peppers or cheese for pasta really poor and food average at best.<br /><br />Restaurant empty and two waitresses seemed more interested laying knives and forks than wait and serve guests.<br /><br />Deserts were nasty, starters and mains were ok but expected to be blown away.<br /><br />Asked fir orange juice, was told run out, tesco express is around the corner, just an idea for them...<br /><br />We noticed they added 10% service charge and if we had noticed i would have said no. Wish we went to a walk in curry house.<br /><br />For a hotel of this so called standard with a promoted high class restaurant and cost as you expect great service and food that is exceptional and its not, i'd rather eat at premier inn pubs.

The food here was excellent. I chose tuna which was cooked to perfection with some interesting vegetable purees to accompany. Excellent flavours. For desert I had ice cream which was home made and the chocolate flavour was superb. Slightly pricey but certainly worth a try.

Italian cuisine is my absolute favourite so I was hoping for some yummy loveliness. I was disappointed. The food was as bland as the menu. Risotto, limited pasta dishes (spaghetti or ravioli), lots of pizza (I can go to Pizza Hut for that) and one choice each of fish, veal, chicken, octopus or sirloin. I ate half of mine. Won't be back.

My husband and I went here for a date night. We enjoyed cocktails at the bar first, and then sat down to eat.The food was very good, and staff friendly. They asked if we were celebrating anything, and my husband told them it was our 'three week and one day anniversary', thinking nothing of it. They bought out a complimentary 'congratulations' sharing dessert plate, which was a lovely touch.Only thing wrong with this place is that it was freezing! Apparently there was a problem with the air con... I've only been once so unsure about the usual temperature.We'll be back!

My partner and I visited during our stay at the Radisson Blu and all though our stay was disappointing we were not disappointed with the food. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We received a complimentary starter which was great because we were very hungry. We ordered beef and it's very easy to overcook or undercook it which we have experienced at a few places but here it was cooked perfectly. I couldn't fault the meal or the staff.. We will definitely be coming back.

On a recent trip to Birmingham, me and my boyfriend decided we would go out for something a little different. So therefore we reserved a table at Filini. First impressions were that it was lovely, very nice interior and extremely clean. We were shown to a table near the windows, lovely view although absolutely freezing. Our drinks and food order were taken promptly and a bread & olive board brought out within 5 minutes. We did not wait long for our starters to arrive which were delicious. We then waited for around 10 minutes for our plates to be cleaned (a little ridiculous when there were only people sitting on 5 tables. Maximum of 12 people). Our main meals arrived around 10 minutes later, this again was delicious tasting. Unfortunately it took almost half an hour for someone to clear our plates & this was only the case because I purposely visited the bathroom to ask one of the waitresses if we could order desserts and if our table could be cleared. If it wasn't for the food I would have been extremely disappointed. We will not be returning due to awful service.

Me and my girlfriend frequently dine in Birmingham and I particularly was looking forward to this restaurant as Italian cuisine is my favourite, the restaurant itself was extremely well put together in terms of looks, it has a touch of elegance and class. The food itself was not worth the price, very simple and basic. The service of the restaurant was shockingly poor. Having to ask for the same thing 3 or 4 times and then having been told she forgot is not good service in my book.They also have a bar as part of the restaurant but I only recommend it if you don't mind waiting 45 minutes for drinks. As well as forgetting to give you your changeI recommend taking good company to this restaurant because that is the only thing you will enjoy about it

Dined here during the Christmas period. The oxtail starter was delicious something I would not normally try however I was glad I did. Service was very personal and intimate without been too in your face. The atmosphere was really relaxed but jolly in a Christmassy sort of way. The decor was understated but classy and stylish. The sea as really did melt in my mouth, I ordered the mozzarella fries to go with my meal however it was disappointing a tiny bowl with several fries and a teaspoon of grated cheese on top. I'm not sure what I expected but not that from this class of restaurant.Overall I would recommend this restaurant and I will be returning.

We turned up and were immediately asked if we had booked, which didn't sound good, we got a table outside and took our beers and menus ourselves to the table,We waited over 20 mins for any service, bread arrived but no asking about drinks for our wives.I was so annoyed I went to find the manager and asked what was going on where is your staff outside, this was not good enough.Then the waitress came over and said they were missing two staff, which really annoyed me as I don't really want to hear that.Next no order of food , but staff assistance helped.But then they took my empty glass never asking if I wanted a anymore, so that really wound me up!Also tying to take our plates although someone was still eating.Our bill then arrived with x5 extra beers, x2 sprite, X1 coke, any they said are you sure? It was eventually taken off, but s 10% service charge was added and we agreed to not pay it as there was no service.The waiter then chased us down saying there was money missing! We said the reasons why, but all of us agreed that this was not good enough and went to see the manager again,The manageress then said again they were two staff down and I said please do not tell me that I don't want to here it and I said you never came to table during main course and said is everything ok? I was staying in the hotel and as I'm not familiar with the area I decided to use the on site Restaurant. I was a little disappointed in the amount of choice on the menu, I would have liked a fillet steak but the only steak I saw was sirloin, which was good but was as expensive as a fillet steak. I didn't have a starter as I have a sweet tooth and prefer desert, but complimentary bread-sticks, olives etc were provided. With desert and a glass of wine, complete with an added on 10% I thought that it was a little bit expensive for an on site hotel restaurant, but then I don't know the prices of other similar facilities in the area. Hence the rating of average rather than very good!!

We went for an evening meal at Filini for our 4th wedding anniversary, and I am happy to say we were not disappointed. From start to finish, we were made to feel special and were given extra attention as they were aware that it was our anniversary. Katie who served us during the evening was excellent and went out of her way to answer our questions about the menu and make any changes that we required.The food was of exceptional standard and I would recommend this restaurant to others for a special evening out.The evening ended with us being presented with a lovely anniversary dessert, which we were not expecting at all.All in all we had a pleasant evening, lovely food and impressive staff.

I have dined here previously but I was told the menu had been changed and I found the choice quite limited. The pumpkin soup was excellent. My friend and I had the sea bass which was served with a crust of cheese that did not complement the fish. The sauce was much too sweet (maybe honey) and I did not finish my meal. A generous amount of vegetables accompanied the meal and had I known I would not have ordered a side order of mixed vegetables (it would be helpful if the waiter pointed this out). The carrots were to hard to cut but the peas were nice. Although this venue is extremely convenient for the theatre I am unsure whether I would return.

Took my cousin there yesterday for lunch before the matinee at the Alexandra Theatre. I wanted somewhere near to the theatre, and my cousin likes Italian food. I do but only if it's a change from thick creamy tomatoey/mincey goo on dull pasta. I was prepared for an average meal. It was REALLY good - creative, innovative and tasty served by enthusiastic staff proud of their new autumn menu. The wine was good too if a little pricey by the glass. However, there's no problem with that if the meal is good. Go on, try it. I intend to go back as it's one of the best Italian meals I have had outside Italy.

Filini Birmingham is a stunning venue with excellent service and the food is truly delicious. I had the risotto cakes for starter which were crunchy on the outside and soft and cheesy in the middle. For main the swordfish with anchovies, capers, rocket was sublime. The side of Garlic butter potatoes was a perfect accompaniment. I should add that the service provided by Katie was attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely be going back to try more of the menu. Only downside the menu is a little pricey and the Restaurant does close relatively early.

I reviewed this restaurant last month, and was contacted by Pedro the restaurant manager who invited us back, explaining that Filini's pride themselves on customer service offering good quality food and our previous experience is not the normal.We arrived and from the moment we were seated and for the next 2 hours we were treated to fantastic service, with an attentive waitress who knew her job, Expertly de-corking a bottle of wine.Our food was exceptional, The Prawn starter was amazing, My Rib Eye steak cooked to perfection, My wifes Lamb dish superb.The whole evening was perfect. Pedro asked if we were enjoying our evening. We told him that we could not fault service or food.He thanked us personally for pointing out the previous issues on our earlier visit. and was happy that we were convinced that it was a one off.I would definitely recommend this for nice food.

We booked a meal at this restaurant from the reviews for a good Italian restaurant in Birmingham, and as it was in the Radisson thought the reviews were bound to be right.How wrong can you be. It was a glorified Prezzo, or Zizzi or Ask. The ONLY thing Italian is the name Felini. The place is dreary, dull curtains very dirty, NO ambience at all. We ordered two Dry Martini's without looking at the drinks menu only to find out they were £5.60 EACH.We ordered or meals they were average nothing spectacular tasteless bland no flavour NOTHING resembling Italian cooking. Ordered a £26 plus bottle of wine, it came with a screw top. Just as well as other diners on another table ordered a bottle with a cork in it and sat and watched a totally inexperienced young waitress struggle for ten minutes to remove the cork, eventually the diner himself took it off her to remove it himself. My wife asked for a side salad with her main course it came dry, so she asked for oil and vinegar for dressing the waitress brought over a bottle of olive oil and a bottle of SARSON'S vinegar. I kid you not.The service was appalling the ambience very bland, the waiters were obviously not trained to high quality dining standards they lacked knowledge and expertise.We were looking for a lovely celebratory meal prior to departing for our holiday in the sun the following day Were we disappointed That is an understatement. We were appalled as Italians to see this establishment advertise themselves as Italian cuisine truthfully we've had better meals in the local Wetherspoons.To add insult to injury they added 10% service charge, So Basically a TWO course meal and a Three course meal, (we did not have the dearest on the menu) Plus wine and two aperitifs cost us over £92. We could have had exactly the same in Prezzo for £42.Appalling I urge you all to stay away until they get the act in order.

Initially only two people in whole restaurant. When we left only 5 other tables booked and it was a Friday night! Food boringly average. Over salted - even salt on the salad!!! The music was elelevator style and not Italian which would have improved the atmosphere. Waitresses very helpful and attentive but then they were not exactly rushed off their feet!!! Overall a very disappointing experience and not one I will ever repeat.

Stopped for cocktails with overseas visitors on a Saturday afternoon and it was dreadful! I think the regular bar man may have been at break but even so we were greeted by the person behind the bar in a very surly and dismissive way. The cocktails took 25 minutes to arrive and then 2 of them were not what we ordered. This gave us time to look around at the litter on the floor and uncleaned tables. Our cocktails ranged from £7.50 to £11.95 and although they tasted good it was a very disappointing visit which would not encourage us to return.

I have stayed in many Radisson hotels but this one sticks out to me.Had a business meeting one morning and we wanted breakfast 3 minutes after breakfast had been closed.The staff at the restaurant where polite and told us breakfast was no longer available. Craig (the chef) came out and insisted he would make us whatever we wanted. What we wanted was not on the breakfast menu but he said it was fine.A girl called Katie served us in the morning, she was so friendly and funny as well!So far so good, we where now just waiting on the food. The eggs benedict arrived in good time and was made to perfection. To summarise: food is great, classy atmosphere, great staff (chefs and waiters) and awesome customer service too!Will be coming back here for sure and would advise anybody to stay/eat here.

We have eaten at Filini previously and had a good experience then. We chose the restaurant because of its close proximity to the Alexandra Theatre for a pre-show meal. The restaurant was quite busy given ot was early evening, but we found the service was friendly and prompt which is what we look for when we are going to the theatre. The food was excellent in particular the mushroom starter and Sea Bass main were fresh and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was a bit subdued and the other diners seemed to be mainly hotel guests, maybe it was because we were in the early part of the evening. The restaurant met our expectations and we will happily go back next time we are at the theatre.

We popped into this gem just before going to the Theatre and it was lovely. We didn't know what to expect and were greeted by friendly staff, the chef seemed lovely.The food was amazingly fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the restaurant was not the busiest and I personally feel the atmosphere would have been better if there had been more people. However this may have been because of the time we went.The food took a little longer than we had expected to come out so despite ordering desserts we had to leave before they arrived. The staff happily refunded us the cost of the dessert to our card.Very pleased with the food and we will most certainly return.

They have a excellent selection of Italian food and wines. It is the hotel restaurant and is far above the quality you would expect from a in house restaurant. The dining space however is not cosy at all. With some clever interior decorating they might get more out of it.

I dined here a couple of weeks ago, solo, with a view of the Circus. My experience was nothing short of excellent. The atmosphere subdued, warm, inviting, but not too pretentious. I'm a traveler, not a local out clubbing, and I felt very comfortable. The service was spot on, and management checked in with me a couple of times. Fantastic wine selection. I noticed a little note on the menu that said the chef would be happy to combine two entrees together, and after the server double checked this fact, I had an absolutely delicious meal topped off with a dessert made to order - completely worth the wait. Based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again and only wished I had had the time to do so twice during my stay.

I made a reservation in Jan 2014 for a table for 2 here at the restaurant using my hi-life diners club card which allows me to have a 3 course meal complimentary when I order 3 courses. I rang up and stated that I had a card and the female voice on the other end said that there was no problem and that I had to bring my card when I visit.Well we were looking forward to our reservation and when the evening finally came we made the effort and dressed up. We were showed to our table and we chose from the menu. Again upon ordering I told the waitress that I had a hi-life diners card. She went off to check with her supervision and upon her return stated to me that the restaurant doesn't accept the cards anymore. Even though the restaurant was still showing on the cards website.I asked to speak to the manager and he said the same and his excuse was that it was too complicated to calculate the discount. I had it in my head that I would pay for the most expensive and get the cheapest complimentary....simples for me.......not for him. I didn't want to eat here after the waitress told me anyway as the special occassion had already been spoiled. The manager couldn't even be bothered to talk to me first and sent a waitress down to tell us the news....what a joker. Anyway after reading other restaurant reviews I would recommend looking elsewhere to have that special occasion. Disappointing ..very....pluck your ideas up filini. I now know why the restaurant was empty when we walked in.

My wife and I were looking for a pre theatre restaurant serving non Chinese food which was difficult given that we were in the middle of the Chinese quarter. Noticing an inticing menu outside of the Radison we took the plunge and we were pleasantly suprised by the stylish entry foyer and restaurant itselfThe Fixed menu was simple but provided a very attractive choice of Italian cuisine.unfortunately the Chianti was unavailable but the Cab Sauv was of an acceptable qualityChris, the waiter was very efficient and provided great service with a smile and with a sense of humourI certainty enjoyed the home made bread which had obviously just been baked and my starter chillied calamari was just what I needed to make my mouth water, the capers adding an extra zing to the dish.The king prawn linguini I think had some truffle added to the oil and the The king prawn linguini was served with a wondeful sauce - I coulnt have had enough!The dessert choice was perhaps rather limited but I opted for the chocolate tart with pistachio ice creamthe tart was ever so rich in chocolate and the ice cream complimented it really well.All in all a perfect choice and we were so glad that we found it. Food and service were superb.only criticism was that perhaps we could have been offered more bread and maybe some olives ? .

I ate at the restaurant when staying at the Radisson hotel, but was disappointed the restaurant didn't live up to the hotel. I had a pizza and diet Coke which cost £14. The diet Coke was a mere 200ml, less than a can full, yet they charge £2 for it! The pizza was also disappointing - a decent size but the taste was majorly lacking. The only real flavour was the pepperoni on it, but nothing else. They state in the room guide that they 'don't mess about with spices and herbs - they have the confidence in their cooking to let that speak for itself' - a load of cobblers if you ask me. Seasoning, spice and herbs are to add and enhance flavour!Highly disappointing.

Four of us choose due to reviews seen on Trip advisor. No atmosphere, yet sat night at 8pm we would have thought there should have been. Service ok , little slow with serving drinks. Food ok nothing . Risotto was perhaps the best dish and one of the party really enjoyed this, but felt it was quite a big portion. The others had cannelloni which they say was poor, pasta over cooked, way too much sauce. Quite disappointed really.

Amazing Service by Lizzie! We recently visited Pesto Restaurant to celebrate three birthdays with our family, and Lizzie made our experience truly memorable. She was absolutely fantastic with the children, engaging with them throughout the meal and making them feel so special. Lizzie’s warm personality and patience were clear from the start, and she went above and beyond to ensure everyone at the table was happy. Celebrating multiple birthdays can be a bit chaotic, but Lizzie handled everything with grace and a big smile. Her attention to detail and genuine care for our experience made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, but it was Lizzie’s outstanding service that made the night exceptional. It is a fantastic place to go if you're seeking amazing pizza. It is also clean and well organised. They offer a variety of flavors, and the added mushrooms are top-notch. My order came with a small portion of chips, which were delicious too. It's clear these guys know how to make great food.
