Filika Restaurant in Redbridge

Excellent, efficient and polite service. Very pleasant and bright interior too. A fine and varied menu. Very close to Wanstead tube station too.

Our first visit to this restaurant and we were so impressed. Great ambience, good lighting, friendly staff, extensive choice on menu, everything we ordered was beautifully cooked and beautifully presented. Also tasted amazing. Will definitely return.

We were looking for somewhere local to go to for a birthday celebration and thought we'd give Filika a try. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent and the service and atmosphere was superb. We didn't have a starter but were given bread and humus whilst we waited for our main. We had the Mixed Shish for the main dish, followed by the apple tartin dessert. Both were well presented and tasted delicious. We were treated to free drink (we chose a Baileys) before we left which we thought was a nice touch. We would definitely recommend Filika but suggest that you book beforehand as it does get busy in the evening, even during the week.

We stopped by chance as there was disruption on central line, what a treat! Amazing food for everyone, even special diet like gluten free & vegan. We suddenly realised we were late, the super kind staff immediately packed up our food and processes the payment super quickly. We’re very grateful, thank you!

My wife, sister-in-law and myself had dinner here on a Friday night. Busy, so glad we had booked. We had a range of starters (the ladies had starters as mains) and I had the mixed grill. All well cooked and tasty. Service was great. Be very happy to return.

I highly recommend this lovely restaurant. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and the restaurant itself is very nice. Freweyni, our waitress, saw my friend wish me a happy birthday as she walked in and she very kindly brought out my dessert with a candle on it and offered us free shots to celebrate. A very kind gesture, which is rare these days!

We visited this restaurant for the first time and must say we weren’t disappointed. The service was very good and there was quite a big selection of food . Two of my friends are vegetarian and there was a good selection of food for them too . The quality of the food was good, freshly made served nicely and good value for money . Will definitely be visiting again

Very good food, service and atmosphere. A bit pricey but I'll say worths. The sea food is amazing! The steak is not so amazing tho but I will definitely come back for see food.

The luncheon "combo" meals are great value. I had falafel first course and seabass entree -- wonderful. We all ordered something different and all were excellent. Highly recommend this comfortable little place.

My partner had reserved an upstairs window table but although we had arrived early for our booking the table had been allocated to other customers. We were offered another table where one of us would have our back to the whole dining room. We suggested another table that had recently been vacated but had not been cleaned. This appeared to put the staff out and their attitude regarding our reservation was very blasé. I ordered the Calves Liver (a favourite of mine) which had been sliced into small pieces with mashed potatoes. The portion of potato was very small which I commented on when the waiting staff asked if everything was ok. The waiter stated that they would get some for me which I stated was not necessary as I believe that a proper portion should have been served with the meal. Despite not wanting the extra potato as I had finished the bread given to us, it arrived anyway. Apparently the meal was supposed to be served with spinach. I did eventually find some hiding behind a small slice of liver. We waited an age to order a dessert and coffee despite being given the menu as they cleared the table from our main courses. Dessert was very nice. Would I visit Filika again? Probably not. Our first time there was disappointing.

The service was very accommodating and excellent choice of dishes. I found they catered to me very well considering I was gluten free and provided veggie sticks with hummus instead of the bread. We will be back :)

Last minute decision to book for 6.30. Didnt have a starter as the bread fills me up. We had the grilled octopus and lamb shish and shared a lovely salad and then the chocolate torte. It got really busy but it didnt affect the service in anyway. We've already booked for a group Christmas get together

Have been to this restaurant many times but really want to shout out Filika as your go to restaurant for big group bookings too! We booked lunch for 20 people and had a lovely setting upstairs. The party menu was great, all the guests complimented on the AMAZING food, saying they would return again, and portions are huge! The staff and management are also amazing, so accommodating and really efficient with so many orders. Adrian in particular really made sure everyone was looked after. A real gem in Wanstead.

Yesterday I had lunch with my friends and the food was amazing. Service was good she served us nicely, was very pleasant, listened very carefully to our requests! Affordable price hopefully I'll be back soon with more friends.. Go and enjoy ur lunch there with their yummy food's !

This was an overpriced and disappointing expereince. The Meze for 2 sa s astrter was small,l limuted and pfredictable. Our mains were very disapppointing-my lamb chops were a series of fatty meats and my compoanion was eating verhy mediocre fish.. The bill was over £120 for two-I have just got back from Nice and £80 would have been high and far better value.The servioce was OK but #value fpor moeny' and 'quality of food'-really poor.

Me and my family went on the 6th May 2023 to celebrate my granddaughter birthday. I definitely would recommend this restaurant. We sat upstairs where there was 9 of us and it was very spacious even with the buggy. Compliments to the chef that day and the waiters. The service was amazing 💯. I had the home made chicken burger, my daughter had mix fish grill, my sister had Sea bass, all had amazing taste and very filling. We didn’t have any room for dessert 🤷🏽‍♀️

We visited mid-week for my daughters 18th birthday. We travelled from about an hour away but I heard good things about this place so it was worth the drive. Staff was very friendly and helped us smuggle her birthday cake in without her noticing. They made a fuss of her and we’re attentive throughout. The food was amazing! Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. It tasted just like we was back on holiday! We was a party of 4 so was trying everything off of each other’s plates, (I already know what I’m ordering next time we go). I would definitely recommend this restaurant to couples, families and groups of friends. Absolutely loved it. Thank you to all the staff that made this a beautiful birthday for my daughter. Can’t wait to return.
