Went to Filika for the second time and likely my last. The first experience was really nice, however, last time the service was very poor. We ordered a Mezze platter to share for 2 people and it had 1 of each item on the plate for £15. It was very expensive for the amount of food and not suited to be shared by 2 people. We did mention this to the waiter and he said literally nothing about it. We also asked to split the bill and the waiter got the maths wrong so one of us ended up paying more than the other. It didn't feel like very attentive service.

Two course lunch special is incredible value for £14.75 - had the falafel and then feta cheese salad. House made lemonade is also delish. Lovely service. Upstairs is open and breezy, recommend.

Hmmm. Could do better....... Moussaka not very nice. Baklava, nothing special.

Upon arrival, I asked a member of staff to make sure I got the bill as it was my friend's birthday. The staff were totally amazing! We didn't spend much money and were there for about 3 hours but never felt rushed and the service was warm and friendly. Before bringing the bill, they presented my friend with a small cake and sang happy birthday. I didn't ask for this but it was such a kind & thoughtful thing to do. We both had pasta and the food was sensational with the vegetables and pasta cooked to perfection. I will definitely be returning & recommending to friends & family.

My darling friend took me for a post birthday meal/girlie catchup. May is birth month and, I am celebrating everyday! 🥳🎉✌🏾🤎 We dined at Filika, a Mediterranean restaurant on Wanstead High Street. To start we enjoyed complimentary humus and bread then I proceeded to order a lychee martini which was exquisite. For my main I decided to try their herb crusted salmon fillet served with sautéed spinach, mash Potato, pomegranate and a side of garlic lemon butter cream sauce. It was the best piece of salmon I have ever eaten. Whilst my friend had Steamed mussels,cooked with wine & onions with a choice of cream sauce served with chips. Finally, for desserts I had an apple tart tatin and my friend opted for a tiramisu torte it was decadent and creamy. The food was divine 10 out of 10. The cocktails were strong, you could taste that they used premium ingredients. They were all very cordial and the service was quick.

Plus it’s right on my doorstep so will be coming here much more and the prices are just respectable but when food as nice as this place who cares how much it cost Highly and convincingly recommend this place 💯🇹🇷🫡

Just tried this restaurant. And if I could give it a 100 stars, I would. The food was delicious, the quantities appreciable, the ambience is so cozy and the staff is so warm and kind. It’s my favourite London Mediterranean experience. Definitely worth visiting again n again n again. Good prices as well for the quantities served.

Food ok but a bit pricey for what you get. Ate upstairs, strange system taking the washing up in bowls through the top floor, down the stairs during the evening.

The 2 course lunch was reasonably priced and portion was big. I would recommend this restaurant.

I just dined at the restaurant and tried their Vegetable Penne dish, and it was absolutely delicious! Their chef really knows how to cook a good quality food. Great dining experience overall. Service was nice and friendly. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I really enjoyed eating at Filika. The food was really good, just few minor issues like the steak being well done instead of medium as we requested. Do not let this stop you, the food is tasty!! The star dish was the octopus!! Perfectly cook and really well seasoned. Amazing flavour! Also I have to mention the quality of the Olive oil that came in the houmous was amazing! Another bonus point is the staff!! 🥰 Really friendly, helpful and polite. The owner is humble and friendly. Sude was a cherry on the top! Always smiling and being very patient with all our requests. I would totally recommend it and we definitely will go back! Thank you guys!

Great food, great team . It's just fabulous when you find a place where you can relax and feel home with always really good meal - from fish to meat or salad. I love it!

Fantastic place. Lots of vegetarian options and everything was delicious. The service was very good and the upstairs part of the restaurant is lovely and spacious. Will be returning and highly recommended the chilli sauce.

The staff were excellent and very accommodating for slightly awkward dietary requirements. Well paced service with friendly staff and the food was great. Absolutely would come here again.

Being vegetarian I had the choice of 3 dishes, and one of them was pasta. Ended up with the moussaka and it wasn't that great. The one thing I can commend was the service. They allowed us to move tables at quite a busy time.

Nice food service a bit slow and nice calm atmosphere

It is absolutely a beauty restaurant in Wanstead high street. Came in without reservation and with our baby on. Manager was nice to put us inside the seatings where it was quieter. We were given hummus and some pita bread whilst waiting for our starters and main. The scallops were cooked beautifully. The grilled octopus was fine but was hoping for more tender and juicier. Nevertheless a great restaurant to dine in. Would love to come back for the meat option in the future.

The second time I’ve been to Filika and it didn’t disappoint. I went with two friends and we enjoyed every single dish. The espresso martinis are fantastic. Ambience is lovely, service is perfect. We were the last people in the restaurant (3 ladies catching up!) and we didn’t feel rushed, or like we were an inconvenience. Would recommend!

We came to the restaurant as it was too late (+ loads of traffic and bad weather) to go to the original restaurant we planned for to celebrate a birthday and we weren't disappointed with choosing Filika Restaurant in Wanstead, London. We received a very warm welcome and fantastic hospitality from the staff right to the end where they gave Free shots of limoncello after our meal 🥃🥃. Never felt rushed or pressured and the waiting staff knew the menu well and recommended several dishes that were amazing 😍. There was a small nice selection of vegetarian food. We didn't have to wait long for our food and there was a really nice ambience in the restaurant with the music 🎵🎶 and lighting. There's lots of seating upstairs and a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I would recommend the restaurant and definitely be back again.

The food was amazing here, genuinely AMAZING and so tasty. We got the Filika special which was filled with grilled meats, and the grilled prawns which were the best prawns I've ever had. The waiters were so attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice cosy dinner setting. Thank you Filika!!

We had a wonderful lunch here today to celebrate a birthday. The service was brilliant, the two staff members who served us were very personable and couldn't do enough for us - a rare find these days! The food was tasty with generous portion sizes, and the atmosphere felt relaxed with low-level music. I can highly recommend this place for a good family meal.

We had a large booking at Filika to celebrate our engagement and the staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make our night special and they were so organised and friendly. Everyone commented on how great the food was - we had the party menu which is excellent value for money. Thank you so much, we can't wait to dine at Filika again soon!

We have been coming to Falika for a number of years now, and have always been impressed with the high level of consistently good service. The management, cooking staff and service staff all completely excel in making you feel welcome, providing top quality food and at reasonable prices. Thoroughly recommend to anybody local or visiting Wanstead. The food is second to none in the area, and the complimentary bread is the icing on top!

Booked last minute for my Mum's birthday, and we were so impressed! The staff and service were amazing, very attentive and kind. The food was great, and the restaurant just had a lovely atmosphere. Such a lovely Turkish restaurant, I will definitely come back again!

I loved everything about this restaurant, the service was great, the timing was good, we didn't have to wait long to be served or to get our food and the food was seriously on point! The mixed grill was SO delicious and full of flavour, we even commented on how they managed to infuse flavour into the vegetables. Their tiramisu is the best tiramisu I've had. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. This was my first time at this restaurant and it'll be the first of many. 🌟

Another excellent meal tonight. Didnt bother with a starter as they gave us bread. For mains I had the octopus and my husband the lamb shish and we shared a salad with a lovely dressing. Also shared the chocolate torte . Was extremely busy but still Excellent attentive service.

Great food and great service. The spicy pot (with chicken) was out of this world good - I took a doggy bag home because I couldn't bear to leave it. Rave reviews also for the filika special, the mezze platter and the calamari. We will return!

We celebrated my sister's 70th birthday party at this nice cosy restaurant in the upstairs area. The tables were nicely laid and setup so that there was plenty of room to move. Adrian ensured that everything went well from the planning stage to the day of the party. He and his team were very obliging and took good care of all the guests. They all commented on the food being delicious and the high standard of service provided.

Fantastic experience, highly recommend, not the cheapest but the quality is fantastic. The fish basket my mum got had some of the most well cooked prawns, squid and fish we'd ever had. Mixed grills and shish were also great with incredibly tender chicken and steak. Generous portions and I love that the kids meals are actually something other than nuggets and chips. The only thing I would rather have had would be a salad rather than the cooked vege with the mains (& some greens with the kids meals) but I really can't complain, it was great.

Lovely atmosphere. Great customer care. Delicious food. I had sea bass with rice and salad. I'd definitely recommend. Reasonable prices too. Very busy on a Saturday night so it's recommend pre-booking, although ample space, incl upstairs seating area.

Been going here for a few years and have never been disappointed. Everything I have tried (favourites are ratatouille and sea bass, but have tried at least half the dishes) is always very tasty and staff friendly and helpful. Prices are good, especially for lunch and dinner menu. Really can't think of anything to offer as constructive criticism.

Absolutely amazing time for my birthday at Filika. Monte was great, his so friendly and attentive. He def went the extra mile! The food was great - I had cheese and spinach pastries, fish and chips and the baklava. They even sang a great rendition of happy birthday to me. Highly recommend this place

Genuinely a really lovely experience. Went there on a Sunday for dinner and we had a great time. Very attentive service, very polite and friendly waiters and everything came within a reasonable time frame. Fresh bread was complimentary and very very nice. Falafels and calamari were the starters. As main we had mix shish, veggie moussaka and I tried their lamb chops, very tasty! Baclava for dessert and a few drinks to finish off. Highly highly recommend!

Went there today, had not booked but it was early lunch time, table for 5 it was my daughters birthday . The staff could not have been more helpful and even accomidate 2 unexpected guest's after we had ordered ,and without prompting they brought out a little birthday dessert with candles SINGING HAPPY birthday . Definitely going again.

Recently, my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at the Filika Restaurant in Wanstead, and I must say that the entire experience was just wonderful! Warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere met us as soon as we entered, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The employees at Filika Restaurant went above and above to make our meal experience very exceptional. They were incredibly nice and attentive. Our experience was made to feel like a valued guest the entire evening thanks to their real hospitality, which ranged from making suggestions on their extensive menu to making sure our glasses were never empty. Note: My own experience and my frank opinion are the only two foundations for this evaluation.

Had mixed grill 1 lamb chop 2 pieces of lamb and chicken and 2 pieced of kofta and an increase scoop of rice and little salad Was expecting a little more for my £22 3 quid for a piece of inch and a half chicken or lamb Won't be going back there again in a hurry #ever

Excellent quality and value for money

My partner and I tried Filika for the first time on Mother's Day and despite it being a busy day for the staff, they were very attentive and we felt well looked after. My partner had the vegetarian Moussaka, which he really enjoyed, and I had the salmon which was a very good portion and came with delicious sides. I had a glass of sauvignon which was perfectly chilled and went very well with the fish. The baklava was a particular highlight for me as I had never tried one before and it was really tasty. I ordered a coffee to go with my dessert, which is a usual habit of mine, and unfortunately the coffee wasn't the best but it was perfectly drinkable and didn't spoil the meal for me at all. Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Very family friendly, lovely waiter, lovely food, relaxed atmosphere.

The food is always excellent here, but they are also so friendly and bend over backwards to help. We popped in on Mothering Sunday on the off chance they might have a table for us. I am not sure that they did, but they made one appear and squeezed us in. The staff were really attentive and showed lots of patience with our little ones. Has quickly become one of my favourite dining options on Wanstead High Street.

Really good food, I got the mix sea grill was really tasty. Had the baklava for dessert which could have been sweeter but still enjoyable. The waiters were nice and accommodating as well. Only downside was the table we were put on, it was right near the door and due to the layout we weren’t sat opposite eachother (chairs were kind of side by side) which wasn’t ideal (hence the 4*!)
