Amazing food and staff 🫶🏻 good sized portions

Fig Café in Rustington is a true gem with a cozy atmosphere, delicious menu, and exceptional service. The fig breakfast and rich coffee are standout items. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome. Whether for a meal, coffee, or a catch-up, Fig Café is highly recommended!

Lovely busy cafe, fantastic service and food is really good! Our waitress put our food on two plates (we were sharing a main) which was thoughtful. Eaten here a few times and the food is consistently of a high quality.

Very slow service although it was a busy lunchtime, waited 45mins for poached eggs on sourdough and a veggie wrap with fries!! Table was not cleaned properly, shirt was covered with grease when we left, very upset. Waitress brushed aside our comments with no apology. Not visiting again.

We've been here a couple of times in the past. It's usually pretty busy inside and seems to be quite popular which is always a good sign. The staff are also very friendly and try to be helpful. On this last occasion we really only wanted a light snack of sausage rolls and a coffee. Unfortunately they don't do sausage rolls here so we simply ordered flat white coffees and went to sit outside to enjoy them and watch the world go by. All good.

Lovely local cafe/restaurant that is a true little gem for the community of Rustington. Took my mother here for lunch and will definitely be back when we visit. 5 stars

Food was excellent. The only problem I had was choosing what to order. It all sounded so lovely.

Would prefer music turned off. Difficult to have a conversation.

Amazing food and service. Been there a few times now and its always to a very high standard. This is the best restaurant in the area by a long long way. 100% worth a visit.

I was debating about writing a review but am still annoyed at the way a member of staff treated us today It was a busy cafe and I get that we were a couple so shouldn't take up a 4 seated table so we sat down at a two seated table but I couldn't even get my chair out at first as their was someone behind the chair paying at the desk. we eventually sat down and regretted straight away as the space was so tight we were really uncomfortable and then saw a couple get up from a table of four near the window and said to the member of staff is it OK to sit there she said yes but I will have to split the table (even though there was only 2 people sitting there before) but I said of course and thanked her....so we settled in and another member of staff said this table is for a four seater and I will have to reserve it.. so we got up and left never to return again!!

We have just had a divine meal! Everything was delicious, and great portions sizes (we will be rolling home). Our absolute favourites were the cheesy garlic bread and the chorizo. The food came quickly and was very fresh. The owner and her front of house staff were all lovely. Honestly, one of the tastiest meals I've had in a long time <3

Been here a few times, sadly only managed to get booked in once for Tapas in the evening as they're so popular! I'd recently returned from Spain and the tapas here was much better! Modern, fresh, extremely flavoursome food. Great atmosphere, service excellent. Going for a breakfast again very soon, can't wait!

Excellent breakfast (veggie). Have been there twice now and the food has been superb on both occasions. Lovely staff, very homely feeling in the cafe.

Friendly cafe in central Rustington, with impressive range of menus (breakfast, brunch, lunch, tapas). All menus have vegan options. I went for the Smokey Beans & my other half had the vegetarian breakfast (which could be veganised). The food was all very good, and will definitely be back. Open on Mondays, which is a bonus.

Monday 11am. Full! A very popular place and with good reason. Sarnies are very big. Recommended.

Brilliant steak sandwich amazing

Wonderful food. Steak sandwich with coleslaw and fries was delicious. Good size portions too. The all day breakfast was good too. Lovely coffee. Very pleasant, friendly staff. Highly recommend this little place. We will be returning soon 👍

Rustington’s Crown Jewel. 2nd valentines in a row and no other place springs to mind of where I would want to take my partner. Mouthwatering food, the menu has been so well thought out the pairings are just fantastic. The lamb and aubergine a firm favourite and a must. The owners are so friendly and evidently passionate about what they do and it really shows. If I had to complain about anything it would be that I couldn’t fit more in, 11/10.

My wife booked The Fig for Afternoon Tea. I was a bit hesitant as its not something I thought they would specialised in. How wrong I was ! First we were informed of what it consisted of rather than just blonk it on the table so they could be sure we were happy before we started. Then it came out. It started with a hot miniature tomato and pepper soup in a small cup, followed by warm rarebit bites then the hearty sandwiches. The savory part was served on a nice wooden wheel. The dessert side consisted of a warm, very airy and light scone with fresh clotted cream and what tasted like homemade jam, then a type of lemon mousse with biscuit and then the cakes. Everything homemade and well done. I personally find Afternoon Teas don't have enough savoury bits to it but this one did with some unique little twists. Highly recommended !

Fantastic little place away from the main Rustington shops. Don't let that put you off! A great menu selection of all day breakfasts and lunch options (+ evening tapas menu too, which I look forward to sampling in the near future). I had a delicious chicken quesadilla wrap whilst my wife had the vegetarian breakfast. The chefs clearly know what they're doing - well cooked and presented food. I'd suggest calling ahead to book a table. We were very lucky to grab an available table without booking during a Friday lunchtime. Definitely worth a try. I'm annoyed we've not been there before now.

Smashing little tapas restaurant. We had a set meal for a birthday party and there was copious amounts of delicious food. Service also spot on.

This is such a cute little place. Tucked away so away from the busyness of the main part of rustington, but just around the corner so easy to get to other places too! The food is always delicious and the service is always spot on too. We love taking visitors here

This is a relatively new place to eat in Rustington. The food is excellent. Freshly prepared, a great variety menu and food well presented. Service is very good. Focused and speedy. Seats around 45 so Chef has his work cut out to produce but he does so very very well. A great place to eat but it's very busy indeed. On a cold day people stand in the open doorway eyeing for a table and on a cold day it's breezy as hell. That's my only negative. If it were my restaurant I'd insist on clients eating between 12-2pm not just the coffee only brigade who take space from someone wanting a full lunch. It is a bit "cocoon" but delightful nonetheless. Tony Perrin.

Excellent food. We had set menu ans there was 8 of us and the food kept coming and coming and coming. Service was great, friendly knowledgeable waitresses. Only let down is decor and furnishings. Vertical blinds and roller blinds more of an office feel

The tapas in the evening is delicious and well priced. The restaurant was not that busy though which made it feel like a hidden gem!

I had the Fig. Signature Eggs and I'd recommend it to anyone Everything about it was amazing. The homemade chilli jam was absolutely perfect and the presentation 👌🏾 Flavours was on point. Will definitely come again. Staff were lovely and accommodating.

Wow this was by far the best breakfast we've had in the local area! Both quality and quantity of the food was spot on. We enjoyed the signature eggs and the smoked salmon and avocado bagel - I'd also recommend the elderflower spritz drink! Popped in today for lunch with my friend. We were warmly greeted on arrival and offered a choice of tables. The menu had plenty to choose from. Our food arrived promptly and was amazing! Lovely presentation and decent portions. We will be back!

We love coming to the fig amazing food everytime and the service is impeccable

I arrived with my 8 year old to realise they don't do tapas at lunchtime. I was told payments system wasn't working so I'd have to go and get cash. I decided to order and get drinks first, but didn't receive a menu until I went to ask for one after a good 10 minutes. Ordered drinks 5 minutes later and waited another 10 for those, was scowled at when I tried to chase up. We went off to get cash. There was still no food (2 salads) on our return, 55 minutes since arriving with still no food I had to go and move the car. The food was OK when it turned up, my son liked it. Very stressful experience. Would never visit again.

Beautiful little cafe in Rustington with the best music playing ever! Honestly, sat there bopping along to all the fab tunes, eating the best Halloumi fries and pate (don't judge me) with an amazing chai Latte. Sun was streaming through the window, we felt like we were on holiday. A real little gem - We will be back for Tapas!

Absolutely delicious tapas, couldn’t fault a thing and the service was so lovely and friendly too. We had four tapas each to share but the absolute highlight were the little chorizo toasts as an appetiser, they were incredible! Very reasonable for such quality. Highly recommend and looking forward to going back. Thanks for a lovely meal!

Lovely food and service. Super chilled vibe. Walked past on a Friday night and managed to get a table. (usually fully booked on a Friday eve, they'd had a cancellation) The cocktails were really refreshing.

Lovely food, and friendly staff who were very accommodating of dietary needs. We went on a very warm evening and sat outside with our dog - it was like being in Spain. The restaurant is slightly off the main street so could easily be missed, but worth looking out for.

I cannot rate this place high enough. We are regulars and the food never disappoints. The staff are friendly and always welcoming. I think my dad would live here if he could!!! Visited Fig Cafe & Tapas for a birthday meal and it didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely incredible and the portion sizes were too! Definitely worth the price and I will most definitely be back.

Great cafe by day and tapas restaurant in the evening superb in both modes. We are local and have watched its transition from the previous Cafe Oasis. In its new form it’s a great asset to the village both by day and night. Delightful owners and staff who serve superb food. We will visit a lot!!

The food was fabulous!! Highly recommend the Steak and the Chorizo dishes 👌 Cocktails where somewhat expensive but it was certainly a nice treat!

We experienced a lovely meal with friends. The staff we happy with quick service. Prices were reasonable. Lots of choice. The toilets were clean. There is a limit of 3 hours free parking in the nearest carpark.

Our first visit to Fig will definitely not be our last. From the minute we stepped inside to a very warm welcome, to the minute we left, the whole experience could not have been better. Both the service and food were first class. A fine selection of wines and an excellent Tapas menu. The restaurant was full, the ambience friendly and the staff could not have made us more welcome. What a wonderful evening.

Wow!!!! We visited Fig for the first time tonight and we were flabbergasted at how amazing it is! The food was divine, the staff were fantastic and the ambience was beautiful! Eight of us dined tonight - one gluten free, and two vegan - so we had a very varied selection of the menu. Every single one of us were thrilled with our choices. The menu is so vast, that we couldn’t decide what to order! I think we had a bit of everything and it was all delicious! Value for money is great and the quality of food is second to none! Do not hesitate to book a table here! You will not be disappointed! Thank you for having us this evening and for making or night so special! We will return very soon!

was really nice breakfast and the Saturday staff on duty were really good.The toast was really nice and all the food was freshly cooked.i will definitely be returning here as such great food and a great Atmosphere.the only reason not giving 5 stars it is expensive but other than that this is a great cafe in rustington.

I have been to both the cafe and the tapas restaurant in recent weeks. Wow! Amazing food cooked with care and attention. Coffee was delicious too - best in Rustington. It’s fantastic to have such a great place on my doorstep. All the staff are friendly and welcoming- nothing is too much trouble. I recommend the signature eggs and halloumi classic for brunch. All the tapas dishes I have tried so far were delicious and so was the expresso martini. I look forward to visiting again soon and supporting local business, especially one that works so hard to deliver a great experience.

"At Last"- a taste of Spain in Rustington. This was our first opportunity to dine in this lovely fresh place. As a party of 5 we explored many Tapas from the extensive menu, none of which disappointed. The portions ideal, very well presented and tasted every bit as good as they looked, served in a timely fashion so that you can savour and enjoy each dish. A return here is inevitable, great service from lovely people.
