Fifth Quarter in Banbridge

Recently visited this location with a partner, we were greeted by staff who wondered if we were eating in with them or the restaurant downstairs. Food was wonderful and affordable, everything that you would wish it to be. Only issue I had was that I had felt that the manager seemed to give off an intimidating presence and the young female staff seemed on edge and uncomfortable to be working there. Atmosphere in the place was elegant and classy a nice spot to take a date.

I had the best Sunday roast I have ever had and I have tried many!! The food was fresh and flavoursome and was a work of art on the plate. We also had two beautiful glasses of wine and a chocolate & orange cheesecake which was so tasty and fresh. We had a baby with us and they were very accommodating and understanding when she knocked a glass from the table. My only negative was the pop music that was playing loudly on a Sunday afternoon, we asked to have it lowered as I could not have a conversation with my mother at the table, for the beautiful decor I would expect some relaxing frank sinatra or instrumental music. We mentioned it to the manager on the way out and he said they are trying to attract a younger crowd, I get where they are coming from and on a sat night playing Madonna could work but even playing the soundtrack of Bridgerton that has pop influence but is still instrumental give a much better ambience. I would love to take my grandparents who are in their 90’s who love dining out but the music would be far too loud for them. I will def be back with some friends for the food alone 👍🏻

We went on Sunday for lunch and had the most delicious tapas. My husband is lactose intolerant and the wait-staff and chef were really accommodating labelling the menu before we arrived with items that were free from milk, and the chef even changed a recipe for him to ensure he could have what he wanted from the menu - really great allergy awareness. Excellent service from all the staff. Food was delicious as was the wine and beer we had. Restaurant and bathroom both really clean. Couldn’t fault it, we look forward to dining here again.

Great spot, nice compact dining area with good atmosphere. Food was excellent, the fifth quarter burger with slow cooked beef was superb. Nice selection of cocktails and the service was very efficient. Definitely recommend.

Fifth Quarter is Excellent. We have been approx 7 times and have always had a lovely time there. Food is delicious. Staff are very attentive and always make a fuss of our Little Girl, which she loves. Highly recommend.

After eating in the Fifth Quarter before and having lovely meals , our experience on 14/04/24, which was my birthday, was really bad. On arrival at the restaurant we were ignored and then eventually seated by a waitress who treated us with no enthusiasm. We actually felt that our arrival was an inconvenience as we were the only diners in the restaurant . We were offered our only drink and placed our orders - When the food arrived both roast sirloins dinners had cold mash potatoes, cremated Yorkshire puddings and you could crack your teeth on the roast potatoes. No one asked if our food was okay so I had to go and tell the manager that the food was not good. We received two new Roast Beef dinners when the rest of the table had finished eating, which were warm but the beef was chewy and the gravy was just too rich and not nice.No one came to the table to see if we needed more drinks it was like they just wanted us to eat and leave . The whole experience was poor to say the least. Some drinks were discounted from the bill but we were still charged for things we did not eat ie pork belly bites ( as they didn’t have any and I was charged for a two course meal even though I got no desert as I did not want to stay in the restaurant for another moment. I was very disappointed at how we were treated . I know this was the last sitting of the evening but as the customer we should not have been made to feel like we were just an inconvenience for the staff. This experience will certainly put me off eating here in the future.

Wonderful night out in Valentine's Night. Favours of food were amazing (special shout out for Goats cheese starter and Daube of Beef main course). And service was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our meal, we went on a Saturday evening at 5:45pm. The food was top quality and tasted amazing, the menu had a lovely variety of things to choose from, service was 1st class and reasonably priced! We had: Starter: beef shin bon bon, mains: double patty burger and triple cooked chips, chicken supreme with a gorgeous pancetta and mushroom cream sauce, lovely veg and garlic mash, parmesan and truffle fries, 1 beer and 2 wine all for £66 and worth every penny! We'll definitely be back!

First visit tonight with my wife. Cosy dining experience with good food at a reasonable price. The staff were attentive and lovely, friendly people. Worth a visit

Very pleasant young people serving really good food. Furnishings are basic but everything is spotlessly clean. Extremely noisy; in hindsight, late on Saturday night was probably not the best choice for a peaceful dinner and I understand the difficulties the management faced in controlling this thoughtless behaviour. Some soft furnishings and a little more space between tables may help to absorb the din but even this would have had minimal effect.

Found this little gem just recently and will definitely be back. The food, staff and ambience of the restaurant is excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The early bird menu is brilliant as they have a very good choice for an early bird menu. Great value for money.

First time in here , really enjoyed it. Will definitely return.

The food was terrific. The staff was amiable and accommodating. They can cater to gluten and dairy intolerances. The portion size was generous.

Lovely new spot for Banbridge, offering something a bit different to the standard fair! I can highly recommend the Daube of Beef washed down with a tasty red from their excellent wine menu. Looking forward to my next visit soon for their new Sunday Lunch!

This was a special meal out at a restaurant that was recommended to us. The ambiance is lovely, a beautiful interior, friendly staff but the food was Very disappointing! The Goats cheese starter tasted processed, the sirloin steaks were flat and grey with a slip of pink in the middle and the creme brulee was too solid. The chips and truffle fries were the best bit of the meal. Not what we were expecting from a restaurant that has been getting great reviews and definitely not worth what we paid. We sadly won't be back.

Had a Sunday dinner yesterday and I don’t think I have had a Sunday dinner like it. So, so tasty. Had three course and everything was so good. Environment clean and tidy. Staff friendly. Will definitely be back.

Amazing food, wine & service. We dined here last night for the first time & had a wonderful evening, food was superb. The squid to start was delicious- squid can be very hit or miss & this was very light and cooked well. My husband had the steak & asked for it medium & it was cooked perfectly. I went for the duck and it really was out of this world- Along with the Turkish delight cheesecake & a bottle of Argentinian Malbec - it really was 10/10. Service was first class too, the staff were so friendly & knowledgable. We will definitely be back - thanks for a fab night!

Banbridge has been crying out for a restaurant like this. The dishes used fresh, fine ingredients, were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Manageable portion sizes. Tasteful decor, dinnerware, cutlery. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Will be back!

1st time here & all I can say is wow. Food absolutely beautifully presented & as for the flavours the empty plates said it all. Staff very professional & service with a smile. A hidden gem just a pitty it’s only open Fri & Saturday. So looking forward to our next night out. Booking advised as very popular & I can see why.

Not great at all..So expensive and portions tiny ..staff lovely. Husband ordered duck 3 mouthfuls.. I had ribeye awful
