This was the most amazing place to eat. Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and had dinner in the restaurant - awesome is the only word to descride the ingenuity and quality of food and service.

A beautiful place for a cup of tea and coffee. Sitting outside in the sunshine watching people go by. Staff were good. Coffee was lovely. Yes was served using a teabag but when we mentioned that real tea would be nice they changed it for a perfect pot of tea.

Food excellent very different rabbit dish superbly cooked well worth more visits this is a very special dish of rabbit 5 star

We recently spent two nights in this hotel in beautiful Aberdeenshire. Accommodation was excellent and dining a very pleasant experience with good choice of delicious food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay if you are in Turriff area.

This has to be the best hotel meal I have enjoyed - for a very long time at the very least. Staying a single night in Turriff for work this is where I am - not sure there is much choice and, no disrespect Turriff, it’s probably not on many people’s bucket list, thought it’s a nice little Scottish market town. Small family hotel with a warm welcome and boasting a “bistro” restaurant; the room was large and comfortable - a good start. I had zero expectations and, after a day of travelling and work, would have been happy with a simple meal. The menu was extensive and choosing was hard! So I went for the tempura prawn tacos which were amazing - and served with a “complimentary” frozen margarita! 😳 Tandoori chicken burger with triple cooked chips followed and was also lovely but left no room for desert, though there were many tempting options. 😋 If for some reason you’re in or around Turriff this is a must! I now need to create a need for a repeat business trip! ⭐️

My sister arranged a birthday meal for my brother in law, their son and his family and our extended family. We had a room set aside and enjoyed a lovely afternoon together. The food was excellent, tasty and nicely presented. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We'll certainly eat here again.

We had a lovely lunch on Saturday.The food was very tasty and very well presented.The owners served us and they were both very attentive and pleasant.Well done to all the team we will definitely be back.

Nice hotel to stay although a wee bit date but clean and fresh. Breakfast is wonderful and a good choice for all. We had the full Scottish breakfast and is was great. Staff are warm and welcoming nothing too much bother. Would stay here again and recommend.

Stopped in past for Sunday lunch on way home after a weekend down South. Beautiful decor and furnishings inside and the most spotless ladies toilet’s I’ve seen in ages.A great start ! The menu was extensive and something to suit all. The food was really delicious and my fiancé commented his roast beef was one of the best he’s ever had,lots of beef and a delicious gravy. Unfortunately no room for dessert,but due it it being so good we intend coming back for an overnight stay based on the food and hopefully then will get to try a dessert. Don’t hesitate to give this place a try,you don’t know what you’re missing. Thank you for fitting us in,what a find !!!

We went here with our family - 8 of us and we had a brilliant meal. It was a Monday evening and the restaurant was very busy - which speaks volumes. My wife and I have been here twice before and on this occasion it was better than ever. The food and the service was excellent - I couldn't pick a standout dish as everyone of us thought that we had chosen the best dish. We had a really lovely evening and we will most certainly be returning.

The food is of high standard, as is the arrival, relaxing prior to going to table, service spot on. Cost appears expensive but not anymore expensive than any other eateries in Turriff. A lovely evening out.

Having been travelling for the past week staying at various hotels this one has been the most disappointing.Poor service. Small bedrooms and beds. Poor service in restaurant. Small portions. Hap hazard breakfast service. Poorly trained staff.

Recommended we visit while on holiday on the coast and wow just WOW an absolutely first class food and service! Delicious meals and so well presented. Staff went over and above to contact me when I left as I had left some flowers which had been gifted and they had put them in water! Wish I lived closer to go again and again!

The Fife Arms is fabulous! Wonderful, friendly attentive staff and simply delicious food - a great choice of dishes, every dish beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Bravo!

We went here for my wife's birthday as we had heard that the food here was good but we thought the food wasn't good - it was exceptional. We had the seafood platter and the haddock and chips along with a caeser salad and whitebait which we shared. Absolutely wonderful. The service was very friendly and very good. This was our first time at the Fife Arms but it most certainly wont be the last.

Enjoyed a lovely evening with friends. Food was top class, tasted delicious and beautifully presented, compliments to the chef. I had food envy when my husband chose the crispy langoustines as a starter , wow! Attentive service, Ross , as ever is a star 🌟.

Lovely atmosphere, had a good night with friends. The service was good, starter and drinks were enjoyable but my main course was completely over cooked and dry. I did complain at the the end of the meal, very disappointed they served it.

We had a family Christmas meal at the Fife Arms, plenty of choice on the festive menu and the food was excellent, as were the pleasant friendly staff, would definitely recommend.

The food here is really special, presentation, surroundings, service are all high standard. The cocktails are lush, there is nothing I would fault, it was a 10 out of 10 evening. I love coming here for food and it is my restaurant of choice.

We visited Scotland in March. Four of us had a lovely dinner here. The service was really good, the staff were really attentive. My husband and I had the monkfish which I would thoroughly recommend.

Well I can't say enough about this restaurant.We are never disappointed from start to finish.Got the 35 bus up and back so we can enjoy the hospitality.The starters are great to share with the fillet steaks to kill for and a sweet, or cheese board, to share and finish with Irish coffees, one or two.The staff are exceptional, the atmosphere great and we're never disappointed every time we come here.Local hostesses in Herbert and Alison have been successful where ever they've gone shows how great a place like this is.Can't wait until our next visit next month.Thanks

Just got back from an exquisite meal at the fife arms. We had run out of gas at our campsite and booked a last minute meal. The staff couldn’t have been anymore accommodating and ensured we had everything we required for our toddler. The food was exquisite but the service was even better. Living in a city, you forget how kind people can be… thank you for the reminder :-)

We passed through Turriff at lunchtime with our small dog. Feeling hungry we asked if they could accommodate us with her and we’re told yes. Although we had to sit outside but the weather was ok to permit that. I had soup of the day and my husband ordered the scallops for starter, both were sensational. I then went for langoustine in a gorgeous batter and dip and my husband had the gorgeous Sunday roast. Meat was cooked to perfection and as he is a big steak and roast eater is a hard man to please. Our dog also enjoyed the meat. Absolutely sensational quality, taste and presentation. To add to this Ross really couldn’t do enough for us. 10 out of 10. We will be back and will be recommending to friends and clients.

Meal for 2 on a Sunday nightVery friendly staff, all Covid rules being followed The scallop starters were lovely but the only thing I would say was the black pudding was slightly over cooked and dry.But the fillet steaks more than made up for that.They really were something else.Highly recommended

We have found that this is the best restaurant in this area by miles , the staff are fantastic the service is second to none and the food is truly exceptional. what a breath of fresh air to relax and enjoy your meal knowing that everything being served was prepared by a chef who takes pride in what he presents to customers. The staff are helpful intelligent and engage with customers to ensure that year meal is perfect .

We have had many fabulous meals in this restaurant and With the changes imposed through new Lockdown restrictions we went for the new takeaway option and it was delicious. The Caulifower Taco is my new favourite food!! The slow cooked soy and maple short rib is amazing. Great service too

Another fantastic meal here, with outstanding service. The buttermilk chicken tenders were some of the best we've had - I'm not a lover of the kale (?) in the coleslaw but everything else was yummy.As well as superb food and service The Fife Arms have to be commended on their social distancing measures: We felt 100% comfortable even though the restaurant was near full. This is a great family run hotel which does Turriff proud.

Have stayed in the Fife Arms a few times on business and whilst the rooms are small they are pristinely clean and very well presented. In the current COVID situation I have to give credit to Alison and Herbert for making all my stays both memorable and enjoyable. Worthy of particular praise is the restaurant food, it is without doubt, top class. I have no hesitation recommending the Fire Arms as a place to stay in Turriff.

Outstanding service and food is a total dream. Highly recommend sea bass and of course accompanied by a strawberry daiquiris (or two) is a must. Tina is always on top form x 20% discount in September so get booking. See You Soon ....

First visit to this establishment for dinner during a recent holiday in Turriff and my wife and I were very impressed. The quality of food was excellent and it was matched by very friendly and attentive service from all staff who waited on our table. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area.

No flaws, everything excellent, from fish to meat to dessert. Personnel kind and professional. Not a very cheap price but still good for the quality you get.

Wow. Another trip to the Fife did not disappoint. It was jam packed which makes me really happy to see a local business doing so well and it’s no wonder why! Attentive service and incredibly well prepared and cooked food. So much choice. We were given market specials, festive menu and the normal menu to chose from. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and it was great value for money too. We will return.

Myself and my Husband booked a table here for our first anniversary meal, and by God we were not disappointed. Wow. You could taste how much love and effort goes into the food. Seafood was amazing! Highly recommend for everything from food, service and efficiency!Five stars.

Our first visit here for about 3 years. The small car park was full on this Sunday afternoon. We hadn't reserved a table, but were ok and seated within 20 minutes. A very cosy waiting area, with soft music playing. Plush surroundings, with a good ambience.Shown to our table within the large restaurant/bar area by helpful staff. My Aberdeen Angus beef burger was very good, but expensive at £13. Unfortunately my daughter's macaroni wasn't up to much. We think the issue may have been the cheese? Overall though, an enjoyable lunch (for me).

Thursday night treat and as always the Fife Arms always delivers a fantastic experience. Very friendly staff and fanstastic food...

If you are looking for fine dining in a Turriff, then it has to be the Fife. Too notch grub, a little on the pricey side though.

Visited with friends for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious and extensive menu to choose from. Staff were excellent, attentive but not intrusive.

We recently enjoyed a very enjoyable lunch at the Fife Arms in Turriff. We hadn’t booked but they were happy to accommodate walk in’s. I had the mussels as a starter done in a curry broth which was something I haven’t had before but would definitely have again. I also had a taste of the duck my wife had as a main and it was absolutely delicious. The place had a nice atmosphere and there was a lovely lounge where I could envisage spending ages with a book and a glass of wine. We will definitely be back.

I ate here with my Mum song friend for a last minute lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a super appealing menu. Service was great. I had the prawn pi pi to start and seafood curry for the main and was blown away. Food is super tasty and fresh. Will definitely be back!

08/08/19 Had a fantastic meal with my wife in the restaurant, I had sirloin steak followed by a cheese board, my wife had pork ribeye followed by sticky toffee pudding. The steaks were beautifully cooked to our choice and our desserts were excellent. I had a 16 yr old single malt recommended by the house which was an outstanding choice. Can’t fault the food, service and the staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommended the restaurant as our experience was excellent and would definitely go back again.

by far the best food and service in the North East of Scotland, especially if you like seafood, always fresh and consistently good, Alison, Herbert and Tina are the best hosts, and the kitchen crew always deliver a first class meal, well worth making a visit for lunch or dinner, keep up the good work.

Stayed here for two nights recently. The food in the restaurant is absolutely superb! The staff are extremely helpful and the rooms are spotless and well appointed.

My cousins and his family were visiting from Derbyshire so i booked a table, we love the food here, local, fresh and great seafood. Something for everyone and great kids choices. I wish i didn't have to drive and could enjoy the cocktails.

I have had the absolute pleasure of staying at this hotel on several occasions over the past few months whilst away on business. The hotel and staff are first class and cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable. I would class this as a home from home and cannot recommend it highly enough. As for the food, you will not be disappointed, the breakfast is the best I've ever had and the chefs attention to make everything perfect is evident in every meal that they produce. As I type this review I am sitting in the hotel lounge enjoying a coffee before business meetings later today. Even though I am staying in Inverness this evening the welcoming smiling faces are exactly what I need after a 6 hour drive North from my home.

Stumbled across this little gem of a hotel whilst on business in Scotland. Lovely comfortable room and the food in the restaurant is of a high standard. We were lucky on a Sunday afternoon to get seated right away at The Flying Stag. We had Beef Roast with Yorkshire pudding! Very good!

Went along for lunch with some family and was disappointed with the service we received. As someone who has to eat gluten free I didn’t feel catered for at all even though on previous visits it has been ok. The lady who served us asked me to pick anything on the menu which would be fine but there was clearly many items on the menu which were not gluten free and after picking an item that I thought may be gluten free, if it was made properly, was advised that it was not and I had to pick something else. Although this would normally be fine the manner in which the woman spoke to me was extremely rude and dismissive. Although I don’t expect special treatment as someone who is gluten free I do expect to be treated well as a customer especially considering the reputation of the Fife.

Whenever my wife and and I are visiting friends in Turriff we entertain them to supper in this excellent restaurant. We usually have the langoustines which are well prepared and presented. They have a wide selection of wines and beers. Service is first class and friendly. Should you be in Turriff for whatever reason, do please dine in this first class restaurant.

Met with friends for afternoon tea. We had booked in advance and this wonderful place did not disappoint. On arrival the scones were put in the oven. We were offered a variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls with plenty of teas/ coffees before moving onto scones with jam and cream. Finally and with a bit of a push we tried the cakes/ desserts, they were light but very tasty. Well done and I know we will be back as the staff, venue and company were welcoming.

We stopped for dinner there at the suggestion of the folks at Craigston Castle and are so glad we heeded that advice.

We had a marvellous lunch this week with good friends. The food was excellent, as was the service and the overall experience. Herbert and Alison Cox are consumate professionals, and it is amply demonstrated in what they deliver for their guests. The sea bass was fantastic, as indeed were the langoustines, but there is an excellent menu from which to choose.

My husband and I were treated to dinner by my parents at the Fife Hotel on a recent visit to Turriff. Wow! It was way beyond expectation, it was fabulous. The owner, his wife and daughter were all working in the restaurant the night we were there - not often you see such attentive owners who obviously take great care and pride in their establishment and its customers. The menu is huge but I was delighted that each dish we had was freshly cooked to order including some amazing fish specials. The langoustines, sea bass aand other dishes we had were absolutely delicious. We had a super evening and I couldn’t fault a thing. Well done Fife Hotel, you have certainly upped the ante of Turriff dining!

My wife and I had Dinner last Saturday at the Fife Arms Hotel, the menu had caught my wife’s eye in the P&J; and she had said that she would like to eat there sometime. We were met as we entered the Bistro and shown to seats in the Lounge where we could browse the menu and have drinks while we waited for our table. One of the waitresses took our order and very shortly after that we were taken through and seated at our table.There really is a great selection of Starters and Mains,for starters we shared some Langoustines and Bruschetta which were lovely I had the Duck and Jackie had the Sea Bass for our main courses both of which were delicious, we washed these down with a bottle of reasonably priced wine,unfortunately we were too full to have a dessert but there is always another time. All the staff were very friendly and attentive as they went about their business on what was a very busy night in the restaurant, due to this it was quite noisy but we intend to drive up another night through the week to visit again as we felt both the Food and Staff were outstanding

I had booked lunch for 5 persons but had to change to 6 persons on arrival. No problem. Staff quickly set another place at the table. Drinks order was taken fairly quickly and 3 menus provided. It was perfectly acceptable to select from any of the menus on a mix and match basis.

Party of twelve ladies, for a Christmas lunch,we couldn't have been treated better. Staff very attentive and the two course Christmas meal was very good indeed.

I've stayed here and eaten here on many occasions and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal yet. There's a very varied menu with seasonal specials, I had pheasant last night followed by a lemon and meringue cheesecake - absolutely delicious! The staff are excellent and in summary even when there's no rooms left this is my go to place for a tasty dinner - well run modern dining of a high quality - very varied beer, wine and spirits selection too - can't fault it.

Excellent variety on menu with something different such as burger with lobster. Nobody on the party of 9 had any complaints. Good cocktail menu. Sevice very good and staff did what was needed to make it a good dinner party.

As always this restaurant/hotel provides excellent food served by friendly staff and we love to sit and have pre dinner drinks and then coffee in the cosy lounge

Our local restaurant of choice, we have been eating here for many years, although maybe not so often in retirement. Celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries or just with friends the food always delivers. Plenty of choice with daily specials whether just lunching of full blown 3-courses. Locally sourced meat, fish and veggies, All tastes catered for. Through changes of ownership and chefs have always had top class meals....maybe the odd 'not perfect' course but never uneaten!! Definitely one to try

We dine here every couple of months, sometimes more - usually during a Friday or Saturday evening.

We have stayed a few times now and it never fails to please. We had one of the newer rooms this time ( room10) and it was lovely. Decent size, spotlessly clean, lovely fluffy towels. Breakfast was beautiful, piping hot and cooked to order. Service fab too. We will be back soon !

First coarse was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen Second was fish and it was verging on burnt and the oil for frying was badly in need of changing For the prices I've had a lot better Nice attentive pleasant staff

Today went there with friends had vegetable lasagne with chicken, the bones were on the chicken breat and vegetables were soggy which meant pasta was too mentioned it to waitress but no comment, never again.

Fife Arms is located in a small NE Scotland town, but offers food which would not be out of place in a trendy city location.

Called at the last minute for a table on the Friday night and was delighted we could be fitted in. The place had a lovely atmosphere and was very welcoming. We could have chosen to relax in the lounge area till our food was ordered but chose to go straight to our table. The menu was great with a good varied choice. We all chose something different and it went down a treat. The wine menu was extensive and good value. Highly recommend and will be back when next in the area

We visit this restaurant a few times each month and both the service and food never fails to impress. The staff are always helpful and no matter what choice we make from the extensive menu it is always better than expected. Would highly recommend this very comfortable restaurant for whatever the occasion.
