Busy little bar, clean toilets, and a chilled atmosphere

Came here as as an excellent selection of craft ales. Staff all friendly and generally a cool bar.

Just drinking your 'Dirty Sanchez's. F...ing brilliant, dark and spicy. I got it from beer 52. I hope to get it again. Soon.

I know Fierce beer from their Aberdeen taproom. They do really great beers. This place looks small from the outside but it does have a first and second floor (which weren’t in use when we went). Serving a wide range of their own beers as well as cocktails, and a beer fridge for beer to go.

A great little craft brewery tap room. Staff were cool & helpful. Nice outside seating in summer. We didn’t eat so I haven’t scored food. Happy to have kids during the day. Dog friendly.

One of my new favourite spots in Manchester. Fantastic quality beers and a great selection. Definitely worth a visit.

The woman behind the bar was our LGBTQ saviour this evening. We were verbally antagonised by a man (customer) who asked me and my partner (both female) if we were brothers. When we were appalled, he corrected himself and said "I realise now, you're mother and son." Trying to ignore him, we returned to our table but were followed by him and more antagonising and false assumptions about our relationship were made (girlfriend with her male boyfriend etc). Out of nowhere, this man was swiftly removed. We were surprised because whilst he had been horrible to us, he had not been loud or obtuse with his behaviour enough to warrant attention by those around us. When I went back to inquire later, it turns out the bartender had overheard his original comment and had requested her manager have him removed from that moment. It's been so reassuring that even in a place where a horribly homophobic incident happened, I've never felt so protected by the bar staff. Blonde and winged eye liner, I didn't catch your name but happy pride.

Dropped in for a pleasant sunshine beer. Beer garden out front had some shade. The beer was good and there was a nice selection. An excellent way to spend some time in the summer.

If you love an independent crafty type beer place this is the one. Even more so if you are looking for plenty of vegan and gluten free beer options.

Photo update! 29/09/22: first time here at Fierce. A first for us as we don't usually miss bars out! Fantastic selection of craft ale! Dog friendly which is a must and great advice and taster from the bar staff! We had Fierce; Café Racer coffee & vanilla porter, 6.5%, Fierce; Rhubarb fruit pale ale, 4.6%. and Fierce x Pollys Lost Paradise oat session IPA with Mango, 4.3%

Great comedy shows held upstairs. Small venue with a good selection of expensive but delicious craft beers, but was out of the one cider available when we visited.

Everything is vegan!! I love this place soooo much. Best drinks, lovely staff!! Would 100000% recommend!

Hi, went to a private party here recently, nice venue, good choice of beer etc: only issue one member of the party had arrived without ID, despite being 25, the Manager obviously wouldn't serve them any alcohol, but his tone was I thought a little abrupt, shame could have spoiled the evening.

Fantastic bar with 5 gluten free beers on draught! Great happy hour too before 7pm.

Its my first visit here since 2018, it used to be a regular bar on my Northern Quarter circuit. Formerly a Marble Brewery tap, this is now owned by Fierce Brewery (Scotland) and i believe its their first venture outside Scotland in to the English market. Apparently business is good & this bar has become a firm favourite on the Manchester "beer sceen" being very popular locally. Outwardly the bar hasn't changed that much, with much of the decor looking very similar if not as it used to be. It's not the most comfortable of bars (benches) but if beers are your thing this is a secondary consideration. The bar offers a comprehensive range of Fierce keg beers, I sampled all those on offer (except the lager/pilsners) all of which were excellent! They also have a fridge which holds the full range of their quality specialist style beers, Porters, IPA's etc (some of which were 12% upwards). The main bar itself is on the ground floor with a secondary (overflow) bigger bar upstairs. I'm sure this is a relatively new addition as I dont recall this the last time I was here? There is one toilet situated at the end of the bar on the ground floor, there are also 3 individual toilets on the first floor. (They are all unisex) At the time of my visit they were all spotless & clean, but that was on a relatively quiet afternoon on a Thursday, it started filling up as I left (6pm) so I could imagine that could change when it gets very busy? Overall this is a great little bar, with lovely beers & friendly helpful staff. When I left the atmosphere was just beginning to build, so my recommendation is to get there early. Recommended!

Best bar about deffo come here, never felt more looked after and welcomed, best bar in manny! Great selection of beers 100% come if you’re in Manchester Matty Lloyd looked after us dearly, get down if you can!

Quiet wet Monday we met here. It was popular for the stand up. Good eclectic crowd. Lots of IPA great half pint glasses.

Nice small place, good atmosphere and a great range of craft beers. The only let down was the service, walked through the door at 21:30 (30 mins before closing), for a quick pint, to a roll of the eyes from the lady behind the bar. The gentleman that served me was nice enough, but I got the impression that the lady wanted to be out of there at 22:00 on the dot. After I arrived, another couple of gentlemen arrived and I witnessed the same eye roll again. Shortly after, the lady closed the door, asif to put off further people from entering. Upon leaving (at 21:55), the gentleman behind the bar wished me a good night but I was blanked by the lady. Slightly off putting for future visits. But like I said, the vibe and style of the place was good and nice selection of beers.

I’ve always liked this particular unit on Thomas Street. Loved it when it was 57 Thomas Street Marble Taproom, and its other iterations since. Current place is great too. Very beer focused, nice atmosphere still, and the beers are pretty good too.

Visiting Manchester a couple of weeks ago from Coventry and I stopped here for a few hours on my own. Very friendly staff and great service. Would definitely visit again.

Nice taproom bar, with a selection of all of the core Fierce range, with some of the more quirky stuff on tap as well, just behind the bar. They also have cans from a variety of other breweries, so you'll certainly have a good selection to choose from. Gluten-free beers are abundant here, so you won't have an issue catering for everyone.

One of my favourite places in Manchester. Great selection of craft beers (including vegan and gluten-free as standard), friendly staff and plenty of seating.

Going for the dive bar feel and mainly gets it. But surprised at the cost. Pricey even for a Londoner like me. And not massively friendly. I had a brilliant IPA though

Excellent range of draft beers, with fast, friendly and efficient service. Great selection of canned and bottled beers which can also be taken away.

Great selection of beers with very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Considering the location, getting a spot to sit on a Saturday night was fairly easy. I’d definitely come back!

Fierce Bar hosted my birthday party and would highly recommend for events in Manchester! Communications from Denny in particular where excellent. They allow you to decorate the room however you want and can even have free Karaoke for the event on request! Such a loverly staff team and really made my party a breeze to organise! Nice small craft bar from this Scottish craft brewery. Great selection of beers on tap from the brewery and beyond with a well stocked can fridge catering for all craft trends. Games to play and friendly staff. Would like to have spent longer sampling more beer but time was short. Deffo worth a visit

Lovely staff and a big old selection of bevvies

Visited with 2 mates on Monday night after having been out for a meal. Staright away we was greatly by a very nice & friendly bar man that was friendly and very helpful on choosing the drinks + even let me have a sample on the one i liked the sound of a Rhubarb ipa and it was really nice 👌 we ended up staying in there for quite a while and found the music really good and banter between us and the bar man really good plus he was great in letting us know about Fierce brewery - beers - & locations which prompted me to give them a follow on instagram also. We later on found out that on a Monday night they also have upstairs a comedy open mic night so will be visiting that at some point in the future. Overall a great bar in the Northern Quarter of Manchester that i would 100% recommend and i look forward to visiting there again in the future. Thanks fierce bar 🍻

Brilliant selection of craft beers. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Missing a star only because the door is left open which makes it chilly and the smoke wafts in. But otherwise we'd recommend!

Discovered this great little bar last night. Really nice chilled vibe with an amazing array of beers. My favourite was the pastorie limone (only have if you're a fan of sour beer). The lady on the bar was really helpful and when they didn't have a beer my boyfriend wanted she offered up alternatives. Will definitely be coming back to try more of their flavoured beers.

We were not allowed to enter because apparently we were "too drunk", which was completely not true. One of the three of us didn't have even a single drink.

Surprisingly good (apologies for sounding condescending!). A mix of 18 decent beers and ciders on draft. Good range. Quality of their own brewery stuff is strong and varied. Nice environment - 2 floors, outdoor street drinking. Staff very friendly. Dog biscuits if you're in to that sort of thing. Highly recommended.

This bar has a great location, and is a bit small but with a really cool atmosphere. Is dog friendly, which is a huge plus and of course it has good beer. Ideal for pre drinks. Also, quick and nice service.

Great little bar, good vibe tunes friendly staff with an absolutely superb variety of drinks, the Hazy IPA is as good as anything I've ever tried.

The beer was nice and I liked the dive bar theme. However there were a lot of staff hanging around too busy talking about D&D instead of serving us. My girlfriend and her friend also said they were uncomfortable with the gender neutral toilets.

One of the best spots to sit outside in Manchester on a sunny day. Staff know their stuff when it comes to recommendations of ales and beers, could spend all day here, the outside seating is a great spot.

Bought gluten free beer from their brewery for years. Had my first draught beer for years(coeliac) went for the sloth beer (hazy ipa) oh my god its heaven. Now to organise a night out in town.

Great bar with good choice of beers.i didn't realize I'd been charged 1.50 corkage . until I checked my receipt. Bit naughty as me and my husband had 3 beers and they brought it to our table. I presume that's why we were charged? I won't have table service next time .

Good beers, bar staff are very nice, relaxed atmosphere here, it's small but the seating is spaced out well so you don't feel on top of eachother. Also felt really clean, no sticky tables here! There's a toilet downstairs and three others upstairs, all unisex and well maintained. Really nice place, would definitely visit again.

Excellent range of beers. We had a sweetish cinnamon beer, which was great, and a hazy IPA, again excellent. Good service and general vibe. Recommended.
