I just wanted to say thank you for the prompt service and great Omlette and sucuk Breakfast this weekend. The cheese could have a further detailed selection rather than just 2 types. Although the cheese melt was good.

This is the worst Turkish food I've ever eaten. The chicken shish was so dry I couldn't even cut into it with a normal knife and the bread was stale and solid. More expensive than most in the surrounding area and by far the worst...

Not much love seemed to really have gone in to our takeaway sadly, most arrived cold and or hummus had leaked over our bag. Might be really nice if we lived closer perhaps we were right on the edge of their delivery area..

I went for lunch with my young son, ordered burger and chips, it was quite average and for the price I paid I was rather dissapointed with the quality. Service was average too. If you put a smile on your face people will come back!

I have been here for both dinner and lunch, the food and service are ok but the place is lacking atmosphere. That said the lunch offer is pretty good. They need to liven the place up in the evenings with background music, turn down the...

I had been told that Fes was a great restaurant and defiantly a place to try. What a disappointment!!!A friend booked the restaurant for her birthday for a party of 9. WE were sat in a long table at the back of the restaurant.I was 10 minutes late so expected the party to have started. The first thing I noticed that there were no drinks. After showing myself to the table, as no one greated me and I was left standing for a couple of minutes at the door, we had to wait for another 15 minutes before a waiter came over.Drink orders finally taken, we now waited another 20 minutes to place our orders. Most of us shared the Fes Special between 2, which costs £24. Not a bad price. It compromises of 3 cold starters, we also added halumi, and a large selection of meets with rice and salad. The starters were tasty, portions were ok but only just enough for two, and that was with the extra starter that we ordered. The main on the other hand was dreadful. There was far far too much meet that was bland and just awful. There was very little rice, and the bit that was there was cold and overcooked. The worst thing about this happened whilst waiting for the Main Course. I asked for another bottle of the Zinfandel, which I must say was rather nice. The waiter brought a different bottle, still a zinfandel, and poured it into our glasses which still had about a 1/4 of a glass of the previous zinfandel. When I question why he did it he said 'well its a zinfandel?'. I was extremely unimpressed and am still annoyed about this. He did, however, replace the wine and the glasses for us.Overall I was unimpressed with the service and food and would consider this a poor restaurant. I really wouldn't bother going again and would advise others to go somewhere else. Bolywoods is just over the road and does a fantastic Indian.

A modern Turkish restaurant with great food. The portions are huge (especially if you go for the set meal for two) and very good value. For £24 we had enough food for lunch the next day! Service was a bit slow but staff were polite.

We ate in Fes restaurant on the spur of the moment. We was looking at the menu in the window and a waiter gave us the lunch menu, 3 course for £5.50.There was many choices, and we enjoyed our choices. We will definitely go back again and on the strength of the lunch time offerings would definitely try in the evening, where they have a different menu.

This small Turkish Restaurant in Chingford is hard to beat for its excellent quality chargrilled kebabs and Turkish home cooked fare. Been every week for the last 8 weeks and it always delivers. Good prices. Free bread and dips is a nice touch. Also serves Efes Beer.

Seriously don't waste your money or what could a lovely evening out! Well unless you like a restaurant for how it looks instead of the food.To be honest I can only say the following. Salad one mouthful was enough,as all I could taste was whatever dressing was poured onto it. Burnt garlic bread brought from the freezer of a supermarket should give you some idea of what the food is like! The other food served overcooked and dry or nothing like stated in the menu. Very disappointing night out!

I love this restaurant. Have been there 3 times now and apart from a mistake they made on my last visit (misheard my order but corrected it when pointed out) I have found great service, lovely food and good value for money every time. I would recommend Fes as a great place to eat if you're in the area. They also do takeaway

My husband & I visited Fes around 5.30pm on a Saturday in early December. We wanted an early dinner & thought this was the ideal time to try out this restaurant which has recently taken over from the excellent Alesta's Kitchen. They were fairly busy with customers but more so by setting up for a party later that evening. We were seated directly in front of the door, which was constantly opened by people bringing in things for the party & the band bringing in their equipment, it was like sitting in a wind tunnel. We asked to be moved somewhere out of the draft & admittedly we were seated extremely quickly to the side of the offending door. What we didn't know until later was we were given the table of a couple who had gone outside for a cigarette & who then had to have their coffees outside sitting in the cold. Our starter & main course were passable & served fairly promptly, if without any rapport. We hadn't intended to make it an evening out, we only had a very small glass each of lager, so were weren't lingering over our meal. This being so we were amazed when the waiter told us to hurry up as we could only have our table for another 30 minutes as it was booked. Even more surprising was the table next to ours were told they had 15 minutes to finish up & they had started their meal after we had. We decided we would have a calypso coffee as we could drink that within the given time, but was told by the waitress they couldn't do one as no-one knew how to make liqueur coffees! If you want to set a world speed record by devouring mediocre but reasonably priced, semi/Mediterranean food in a surly staffed restaurant this is the place to go, but it is definitely off our list of Chingford eateries..

Visited this restaurant on Saturday with friends, it was a large group and from the moment we arrived the service was simply brilliant; tables where rearranged to accommodate us, The table service was frequent but not over bearing. No issues with the food from any of that party, some had lamb some had chicken some had fish everything was perfect can't fault it. I had the bait fish for a starter and it was absolutely gorgeous my partner had the calamari and that too was soft and beautiful. Then after dinner and moments to chill the real fun started they had an authentic belly dancer who was absolutely beautiful and she did some crazy dancing with a sword and it was just entertaining the whole place got excited and loved it.
