Ferry Meadows Water Sports centre/cafe in Peterborough

Lovely place to have something to eat with amazing view, also we hired pedal swan for 19£ for half an hour and it was worth it. Loved it

Saturday afternoon peak season and couldn’t hire anything as they closed off for a private hire. Almost all the available craft were left on the shore but still couldn’t take them out.

I still remember the days of the old cafe where the food was homemade, sourced from the local farmers and extremely delicious. The new cafe, I'm afraid, has gone the opposite way. When first opened, the food in the new cafe was at best mediocre. Now, however, it is overpriced while using the lowest quality ingredients. My husband and son ordered 2 lamb burgers yesterday, £13.98 each . The buns were so white you could tell that the dough was not cooked. The presentation was even worse with the buns left open, one tiny lettuce leaf and the thinnest slice of tomato. It looked so unappetising that my son wanted to return it without eating it. I am so disappointed that they have ruined our favourite place in Ferry Meadows. I would give this cafe 0 stars if it were possible.

Bit on the expensive side but beautiful views, tea and cake for 3. Nice looking out to the lake whilst drinking.

I thought the park was gifted to the people of Peterborough by the then PDC as long as no charges were made to use the park. Monetise everything. Star lost. Watersports cafe is ok but expensive. Star lost

Great place for a nice family day out. Lake, 3 playgrounds for children, lots of water sports, 2 cafés and lots and lots of walking around the lake. Main Car park is very close and overflow car parks tends to be busy when the weather is good, so make sure to arrive early. Can't complain really.

Extremely poor service today. One instructor couldn't rig a single dinghy so called another instructor who also couldn't rig a dinghy. Both were unprofessional and incompetent. I have reported to the RYA as this is clearly a breach of Health and Safety and very unreasuring for the public. I ended up getting a full refund and not sailing as I didn't feel safe on land never mind the water. As an RYA instructor for many years I have never seen such incompetence. The manager apparently was unavailable when I asked to make a complaint.

Not enough variety in the food dept. Can't even get a sandwich after 2pm.
