Came here for a coffee on a rest stop. Had something to eat and a brew. Needed to use the restroom so asked where they were to be told they were closed baring in mind they’re serving food and drink. Sat here from 5-6pm and they were not happy that there was a queue out the door at 5:40.

Absolutely horrified that whilst they were still open told a young woman that she wasn’t allowed to use the toilet and was told lark lane was the closest place. To then be told very abruptly and rudely the faster you start walking the faster you’ll reach your destination. The young woman explained how desperate and quick she would be and there was absolutely no need for the attitude and abrasiveness, lack of customer care and nastiness.

Myself and my partner were meeting a friend at the park July 2020 and decided to meet her here to grab a takeaway coffee because the restrictions etc. It can get busy but it didn’t take to long to get served coffee isn’t the best but is ok for a quick cuppa.

Tables were filthy and sticky, food was poor quality, thrown on the table by staff who couldn't care less. God knows what happens in the kitchen and how clean its is. Just take a look at their hygiene rating!

Recently visited Ferraiolos for my Mum & Dads 40th Anniversary. They were looking for somewhere small and intimate and that's what they got! The staff were very friendly and their service was excellent! The restaurant has fantastic views overlooking Sefton Park and to be honest is a little Gem. The food was also to a great standard a mixture of Italian Tapas and the portions were just right! Please ignore the negative reviews these are about the cafe ajacent to the restaurant! Overall an excellent night & great value for money! Well done & thank you!

Walking through the park to make most of sunshine, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Delighted to find a tapas option in Ferriallo's rather than just pizza (which looked amazing). Ordered 4 dishes between us and ate every bit. Unbelievably the calamari was perfect. Been to many 'fine dining' places that have messed that one up, but this melted in our mouths. The staff member made us at home, and we had time to relax and watch the world go by in peace. Sat by sliding window/door so nice breeze too. Will definitely go back again.

I live on Sefton Park and visit almost daily with my little girl. There is only one cafe in the park and they pretty much have the monopoly on everything - even the icecream van is the brother of the owner! So when my little one wants an ice cream I kind of just grit my teeth and try to order one. The ice creams are actually nice - as is the hot chocolate, but ordering is not. I can put up with being ignored while waiting to be served. I can put up with the miserable and moody staff, their conversations going on over me and other customers. I can even put up with the filthy toilets. But I really had enough when I ordered a chocolate ice cream. The same chocolate ice cream she has had a load of times - with the same label on the glass saying chocolate. It was only 5 minutes later when my 3 year old told me her mouth was itching that I tasted it and found nuts in it. My daughter has an allergy. I returned to the counter furious. It turned out to be Farrero Rocher ice cream! They don't seem to understand that you can kill people with this kind of crap. After telling me I should have asked if there was nuts, I was just left with a wall of blank faces, no apology and a poorly little girl. If there were other venders in the park, this cafe would be out of business. If this cafe were anywhere else, it would be out of business. I have read all the reviews here and they are all spot on - except the one which mentions nice service, nice food etc - they are referring to the Palm House - not the cafe. The Italian restaurant at the side of the cafe has never been open in the last year I have lived here. Its a real waste of EU funding in doing up the place.

On the first warm day of spring. My family voted to take my youngest daughter (16months old) to the park. After much discussion we chose Sefton Park. Considering we had not tried the cafe in the centre of the park since its major revamp. We decided to try the cafe for lunch. the party consisted of me, my girlfriend her sister, our daughter who is 16 months and my twelve year old daughter. The cafe is sited in the middle of the park next to th eros fountain. The building is split between the cafe and small italian bistro called Ferraiolos which was not open. The cafe advertised a small limited menu of panini's, burgers and sandwiches. The cafe also sold ice cream and coffees. Since my youngest daughter was hungry and need a feed we had limited option but to lunch in the cafe. My partner sister opted due to limited options to not eat but to have a coffee. I ordered the pea and ham soup and a roll, my eldest daughter a cheese sandwich and my partner a panini. We also ordered a portion of chips to share and coffees and teas. My soup was ok. I have had worse but I was not impressed the bread role was shop bought part bake role variety. My partner had vegatarian panini. which was again ok. My daughter ordered a cheese sandwich. The bread was very dry and the sandwich was returned for refund. However staff ensisted on providing replacement. Though replacement was better. Bread was still dry. The chips were again poor. The ketchup provided in dispenser was watery. Prior to leaving we tried the ice cream. ordering the chocolate and strawberry. The ice cream was very nice. Pitty the rest of the food was not to such standard. For the review. What is sad is that I have visited both Sefton Park and Calderstone parks(please see previous review). The green jewels of south liverpool. Both for many years had grotty cafes, which you tendered to avoid unless it was for a cup of tea or can and a packet of crisps. The renovation of calderstones cafe has not just renovated the decore but the food. Unfortunately Sefton parks cafe has not. Though the decoration is brighter. The food is not. The proprietor could learn from the cafe in calderstones park.

The attitude of the staff in this place just does not get any better, They are rude, indifferent and miserable. They ignore customers, chat on their mobile phones as well as amongst each other while people are waiting to be served.. They serve food to customers in their everyday outdoor coats, a definite hygiene issue and and another major hygiene issue is allowing kitchen staff to stand outside in their kitchen uniforms smoking and then going back in to prepare food for people to eat with their stinking smoky clothes and hands.. Something I am sure H&S would have a fit about if they were aware.I am at a loss as to how this place manages to keep a licence and stay open.

I live on Sefton Park, I walk through the park every day. I love the park, I think it is the best park in Liverpool. It is beautiful. Now the cafe!!! I've been popping in there for four years now and it not got any better. For a long time now the staffs attitude has just been rude, the coffee is bad and the tables dirty but I can live with that until today! Today I popped in for a bad coffee ,a slushy and a nice ice cream. After my daughter decided to use the ice cream as makeup my wife pop back inside for some napkins. After she stood at the counter for about 3 mins she walked out pi**ed off as 4 members of staff ignored her and carried on with there conversations. After calming down my wife when back in for a cup of tea. This time she was seen straight away but the lady serving her dropped the tea bag on the floor then picked it up and rather than putting it in the bin she used it to make my wife's tea!!! As my wife is too nice to complain she didn't tell me. After I knocked over my sons slushy I had to get another one. Again no que, had to wait too long while one lady sprayed somthing in the cake counter and pushes some crums around, one consumed a sandwich at the till and two talked between each other ignoring me. After I was able to order, one of the ladies decided to finger the mint and chocolate chip ice cream and pulled out a large chocolate chip, ate it, licked fingers, look at me and said "tastes amazing". Truly a bad cafe.

Where do I start? The staff are amongst the rudest and most unhelpful I have ever come across, the owners excuse was "well they have worked here a long time"! Can you believe that??They split multipacks of chocolate bars and sell them as full sized and full priced. Their excuse for that was "we have always done that"!Their toilets are disgusting and filty and if you use the ones they have at the other end of the late they have no soap, no toilet paper and NO SANITARY BIN!! God help you if you have a dog, they hate dogs and do not want them on the forecourt of the building even though the land is public and owned by the council.I witnessed the owner come out of the building and abuse one member of the public who had a dog and that lady was by the fountain..Vulgar people with the worst attitude I have had the misfortune of coming in contact with. If you want a great meal, reasonably price with fantastic friendly staff then I would suggest Otterspool Cafe. The food is amazing, the staff are lfriendly and very welcoming there are loads of activities there for kids as well, and it is always busy every day of the year unlike this filthy place.

Well, we tried...edged in on probably the busiest weekend of the year in the park to an empty restaurant, asked if they were still serving, asked if we could look at a menu and told quite aggressively they were "over there"...didn't stay. So why is it so empty? ;-)

Delivery was expected in an hour and delivered in 40 minutes. The garlic bread with mushrooms was amazing and my daughter had a gluten free version of the garlic bread which she absolutely loved. Try the sweet potato fries as well if you can they were spot in
